  • There's a hidden one opposite the Celtic Stadium, that should be pretty quiet by Sinjazz1327 (Mon 3rd Aug 2020 5:45pm)
  • Takeaways were also able to stay open and make money during the lockdown while restaurants were not and thus need extra help. by Sinjazz1327 (Fri 7th Aug 2020 10:06am)
  • Welcome back! by Sinjazz1327 (Fri 14th Aug 2020 8:47am)
  • Asking price also doesn't equal home report. When we bought our house (pre-Covid), we offered 3k over the asking price and the owner refused anything below home report value which was 10k over asking price. Asking price is so you go view the place because you think you can afford it. by Sinjazz1327 (Sat 15th Aug 2020 5:16pm)
  • I had great experiences with the ones at Nuffield Health Finnieston, afaik you don't need to be a member of the gym to use their physios. by Sinjazz1327 (Wed 28th Oct 2020 4:28pm)
  • In the leaflet we received informing us of the change it stated that they made the change to encourage people to pay better attention to their recycling and recycle more stuff that can actually be recycled rather than throwing everything into the green bin and have it end up in landfill even though it's recycleable. I am certainly in favour of that and we have never filled the green bin even with the 3 week roster, whereas our blue bin is always full after 2 weeks. by Sinjazz1327 (Fri 5th Feb 2021 1:11pm)
  • I was really scared of it for this season so I bought a SAD light and resolved to go outside for a walk at lunch whenever it wasn't tipping it down. I also started a new hobby that I reserved for when it was dark outside. I had the light on every morning from 8am to midday and religiously went outdoors whenever possible, and that resulted in me having the least bad winter since I moved here. Going outdoors felt like it was the key for me, direct daylight can't substitute for electric light, but I did feel that having the SAD light on during the dark mornings also made a significant difference for me. by Sinjazz1327 (Tue 16th Feb 2021 6:29pm)
  • When I got my car we went for a drive through the Campsies nearly every evening, wonderful route past Glengoyne distillery and is about an hour's round trip. I had my license for 10 years by that point but the Campsies is where I really learned how to drive. by Sinjazz1327 (Tue 16th Feb 2021 6:36pm)

  • Unfortunately it will be a few months (if I do it at all) - I'm shaved down to a 0 right now and would need to let it grow back to a good length for anything to work. by Sinjazz1327 (Wed 28th Jul 2021 10:34pm)
  • I've never played but been wanting to try it out and was never sure how to find a group, I'd be interested! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 10th Oct 2021 5:37pm)
  • I drove past that queue yesterday, absolutely ridiculous, it went all around the building! by Sinjazz1327 (Mon 6th Dec 2021 7:29pm)
  • They said in December it would cost £96 million to fix it. Annual budget tends to be around £13 million. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-59551797 by Sinjazz1327 (Tue 22nd Feb 2022 2:38pm)
  • Tons at the Commonwealth Village and the river Clyde walkway from there to the East - had a huge hogweed growth during the pandemic and the stalks are still there, knotweed grows all over the place as does field bindweed by Sinjazz1327 (Thu 3rd Mar 2022 3:19pm)
  • Slightly outside city centre but in Glasgow Club Gorbals I can usually get one within 10 minutes by Sinjazz1327 (Mon 18th Apr 2022 12:31pm)
  • This is very sound advice - definitely check out the artists' portfolios and don't be afraid to have consultations before you commit, those are usually free. Many will also be happy to just give you a stencil before you go for a full design so you can see of you like it or not - allow yourself the time, a good tattoo artist will not pressure you into getting it to make sure you're happy with the final result, and they will be happy to make changes and work with you on the design. I went around town and just looked at all the shops I could find, then checked out their instagram pages or websites where they usually have profiles of the artists and narrowed down my choice based on whose style I liked. Then I contacted a few of the artists and went with the one that I felt understood best what I wanted. by Sinjazz1327 (Fri 24th Jun 2022 6:56pm)

  • I realise this isn't answering your question if you're looking within Glasgow, the only place I've ever found freshly made Scotch Eggs was at House of Bruar near Blair Atholl. They were, however, top notch! by Sinjazz1327 (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 4:31pm)
  • Me and spouse both went to Glasgow City Physiotherapy in Buchanan Street for our workout injuries and I've been to Nuffield Health in Finnieston as well, found all these very knowledgeable and helpful. by Sinjazz1327 (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 5:15pm)

  • Absolutely agree. We lived in a high end block of flats, there were at least 3 AirBnBs. Every weekend and regularly on weekdays, guests partied all night, trashed the hallways, littered everywhere, smoked, set off the fire alarms, puked down the stairs and into the elevator, the list goes on. When we moved out, one of the best things about it was getting to leave the AirBnBs behind. by Sinjazz1327 (Mon 31st Oct 2022 5:11pm)
  • Who are you seeing? 🙂 I went yesterday to see Biffy Clyro and it turns out my normal ear plugs that I use at night were *too* good and I couldn't enjoy the music. I resorted to just stuffing some toilet paper in my ears, that took the edge off while letting me hear all the nuances. I personally found it cold - I was prepared and took my warm thick fleece jacket to use as a cushion because the seats are really cold and uncomfortable as well, and my thick winter coat to just wear around my shoulders. If you're in Standing, just dance and you won't have that problem LOL Also be aware they don't like bottles, even plastic ones, and will ask you to transfer it to a cup upon entrance (max 500ml). They don't have a problem with you bringing your own food though. by Sinjazz1327 (Tue 8th Nov 2022 6:13pm)
  • At the moment they just swim - the water is so high there is no weir LOL by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 13th Nov 2022 7:39pm)
  • Right now the water is so high they literally just swim - we walked past it yesterday and there is no weir, just the sign that there's supposed to be a 4m drop right above the water LOL by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 13th Nov 2022 7:41pm)
  • They're actually perfectly fine with you taking a drink and food inside, it's the bottles they don't want. They have paper cups at the entrance that they'll let you pour your drink into (max 500ml). by Sinjazz1327 (Thu 17th Nov 2022 1:13pm)
  • Right now: St Enoch Square Christmas Market that massive Weihnachtspyramide at the North entrance. It's expensive as fuck but the most authentic as you'll get actual German fair stand Currywurst. They even sell the Hela curry ketchup bottles. by Sinjazz1327 (Mon 28th Nov 2022 11:19am)
  • Good point, I'll contact them and ask 🙂 thank you! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 4th Dec 2022 10:36am)

  • Oh that's very good to know, thank you! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 4th Dec 2022 11:19am)
  • Thank you! We're after someone showijg us the ropes though quite literally, so somewhere indoor is probably better for now. Will keep it in mind! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 4th Dec 2022 12:01pm)
  • That is indeed good to know, we want someone to show us the ropes (literally) - thank you! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 4th Dec 2022 12:00pm)
  • That's really good to know, thank you! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 4th Dec 2022 2:38pm)

  • Asdf back to the drawing board LOL Thanks for letting me know! by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 4th Dec 2022 4:36pm)
  • Not just that, but the fact that a big chunk of it just fell into the river a few years ago. I'm not sure I'd want to cycle on that even if they started allowing access 😅 by Sinjazz1327 (Sun 1st Jan 2023 3:06pm)
  • You can absolutely take your own food, I do it every time. They make you empty out any liquids into a cup at the door because they don't like bottles of any kind, but I have never had to surrender any of it at the entrance. by Sinjazz1327 (Wed 1st Feb 2023 5:46pm)
  • I personally don't think I'd chance it. If they didn't like it you'd lose anything you can't fit in a pint cup. Try it and report back with the results but I wouldn't use expensive wine 😁 by Sinjazz1327 (Wed 1st Feb 2023 6:47pm)
  • Seconded, have seen them for weightlifting caused shoulder pain and sacroiliac joint issues, they got me back to capacity both times. by Sinjazz1327 (Sat 25th Feb 2023 10:05pm)

  • Just wanting to thank you for asking this question publicly, I wasn't thrilled with the choice at IKEA and I'd have never thought to ask Reddit 😁 by Sinjazz1327 (Fri 19th May 2023 10:51am)
