  • Christ I worked for Kura when they where still called Response or RHL or some shit. Just found a pay stub 196 quid a week for some of the worst, most soul destroying work I ever did. by Strict_lock (Wed 2nd Feb 2022 1:24pm)
  • Ano people in this sub think that all of Glasgow should look like Byers road and support rugby or some shit but actually this is a pretty incredible sporting event that our city and country should be a lot prouder of. by Strict_lock (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 10:58am)
  • I didnt hear any bigotry last night, did you? Just a world class derby being enjoyed by the citys hard working citizens. I don't know why this sub gets all worked up about football supporters, it's not as if you cunts actually get out of the west end to see us. by Strict_lock (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 12:30pm)
  • Have you ever been to Celtic park mate? What songs do we sing that are bigoted? Maybe you should come to a game, Bodo/glimt tickets are on sale the now. You'll have the time of your life and it might change your minds about the great unwashed. by Strict_lock (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 2:09pm)
  • That's what's so annoying man. Grainy footage of football fans being overpoliced (I certainly cannot see any offences being committed) is turned into a "riot", and we're called bigots, Neanderthals, and a shame on the city (OUR city) by cunts who probably think the height of culture is watching a rugby player drink a pint of pish in the Glasgow Uni Union. In reality the Celtic support and our ultras are constantly active in the radical politics that most of the Che Guevara t-shirt wearing wanks from the west end could only dream of. by Strict_lock (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 4:01pm)
  • Chill out. You'll be fine. If you have insurance they will handle it, your premium will go up next year but that's just life. You aren't going to go bankrupt. If you want to be a baller give him a a phone and see if he's willing to take cash in hand in lieu of involving the insurance companies. You don't need to report it.. by Strict_lock (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 4:09pm)
  • Hello mate. I'm sorry that life is tough for you at the moment. i really need to emphasise though that dying in your sleep or otherwise is not an optimal solution. Have you tried writing a note to your best friend and mailing it to them, it might be a way to prod them into reacting to you and communicating how much the friendship means to you. If you can, get something to eat, doesn't really matter what it is, but that alone will give you a little kick of energy. When i get depressed I tend to close the curtains and let my living space go to shit. I don't know if your in the same place, but if so - just letting the sun hit my face can give me a distraction that I find vital. I know your counsellor/CPN might not always be the best and easiest persno to talk to, trust me I've been there, and I struggle to find a rapport. But you need to know that they are the people you need to reach to if you are feeling really bad, our illnesses can trick us into thinking that they are useless, when really they can be the thing we need even if it's not what we want. I don't know what kind of games you are into, but what I just want the day to fast forward until I get that little jump start, I play Civ 5 and it seems to make time disapear. by Strict_lock (Thu 21st Apr 2022 7:44pm)

  • Sorry that yesterday was so painful for you. 💚💚 by Strict_lock (Sun 15th May 2022 2:41pm)
  • Yes, it's all a big conspiracy. Police Scotland, under the control of "Big Tim" are in for once in their lives underplaying the scale of crime. I get that it's embarrassing having last years antics being contrasted to the carnival like atmosphere that Celtic fans created last night, but as you say, you've got a perfect time this week to show the world how rangers fans conduct themselves. I do note that rangers board don't seem to have the confidence in the support to open ibrox however! Perhaps they know something we don't. Anyway, hopefully the Spanish police have spoken to their counterparts in Manchester to ensure they deal with the rangers support in the proper way to avoid a repeat of events in that city. by Strict_lock (Sun 15th May 2022 3:55pm)
  • I dunno man I'd maybe suggest that as a neutral you don't really have a clue one way or another. by Strict_lock (Sun 15th May 2022 4:04pm)
  • "as a neutral" Anyway go compare the police statements, honey. by Strict_lock (Sun 15th May 2022 4:15pm)
  • Yes. Yes Glasgow, it's a massive football city. I know it's hard to believe for those that would rather we didn't live here but actually we contribute a lot to this cities culture and economy. by Strict_lock (Mon 16th May 2022 7:56am)
  • Really? People in crowds behave like this, they drop litter Go to and number of hundreds of festivals around the UK and it will look like this the morning after. Add to that fact that GCC and the police refuse to have an actual fan zone, and you cannot have bins for security reasons. by Strict_lock (Mon 16th May 2022 7:59am)
  • Yeah, basically. Glasgow has to pay for the social and infrastructural costs that comes with being a large city (as well as the historical legacy of deindustrialization) while those from outside travel in and take their salary's out to local authorities that don't have to shoulder those burdens. by Strict_lock (Tue 17th May 2022 6:26pm)
  • Tonnes of solutions. My preferred solution would be to merge the local authorities, local authority regions change from time to time anyway and the situation with Glasgow is quite strange when compared to its peer cities in the UK, this would result in the wealthier suburbs paying their fair share to the maintain and grow the city that is responsible for their handsome pay packets. Alternatively you could have solidarity payments between councils to Glasgow to pay for the city, though it would be tough to figure out exactly how much should be paid and when. EDIT: don't get me wrong, I can understand why those outside Glasgow wouldnt want this - it would result in higher council tax bills, but I can't help but think it would be better for all in the medium to long term. by Strict_lock (Tue 17th May 2022 7:07pm)
  • I don't know if we need more councils, I tend to think part of the reason they are in such a state is that we have so many, especially when it means extracting funding from the government. I think you can have different methods of democratic representation but ultimately councils need to be big enough and strong enough to make medium to long term decisions about their area and i don't think they are big enough to do that at the moment. by Strict_lock (Tue 17th May 2022 10:40pm)
