  • Done. Best of luck! by __eudaimonia (Fri 28th Feb 2020 7:32pm)
  • Welcome to Glasgow! I’d suggest trying Rightmove or Zoopla (for either renting or buying). You can also try Gumtree as private landlords tend to advertise on there, or Spareroom if you’re looking for a room in a flatshare. Good luck with your house hunting! by __eudaimonia (Mon 2nd Mar 2020 8:49am)
  • This is awful! I’ve emailed them just now. Thanks for letting us know. by __eudaimonia (Wed 4th Mar 2020 12:09pm)
  • The images represent Glasgow’s coat of arms: There’s the tree that never grew, There’s the bird that never flew, There’s the fish that never swam, There’s the bell that never rang. by __eudaimonia (Sat 25th Apr 2020 5:47pm)

  • I know, especially on a sunny day! It’s like people forget we’re in the middle of a pandemic by __eudaimonia (Sun 10th May 2020 1:55pm)
  • If you’re based abroad, you might want to look into ones that are more online-based, like YOPA or PurpleBricks (I think?) - personally can’t speak for either but that might help in terms of keeping in touch with agents etc. by __eudaimonia (Sun 24th May 2020 7:50pm)
  • I’m so sorry. My heart goes out to you & your family. Completely agree that the impact of lockdown on mental health is not being taken seriously enough, compounded by the sheer uncertainty of how long this will go on for. Sending virtual hugs your way by __eudaimonia (Tue 1st Sep 2020 9:42pm)
  • I’d recommend Short long black on Victoria Road! by __eudaimonia (Sat 5th Jun 2021 10:11am)
  • Great photo! by __eudaimonia (Fri 9th Jul 2021 8:55am)
  • I’d also recommend checking out Emmaus - they’re just a bit further down Dumbarton Road towards Thornwood. They’re more affordable than BHF. As well as the Thornwood shop, they also have a large warehouse somewhere. by __eudaimonia (Fri 16th Jul 2021 10:05am)
  • This sounds like a great idea! I’d definitely be interested in getting involved! by __eudaimonia (Wed 1st Dec 2021 11:49pm)
  • Congratulations to you and your partner on your upcoming marriage! From the typo in the title, I had no idea which direction this post was going to take. Anyway, if you haven’t already found someone, I’d be happy to act as your witness! by __eudaimonia (Fri 11th Nov 2022 8:17am)
  • I can’t help with the legal situation, but if you are still enrolled as a student then most universities should have a hardship fund for students struggling to make ends meet. At Strathclyde, you can find more information about the [Discretionary Fund](https://www.strath.ac.uk/studywithus/scholarships/discretionaryfund/) here. Glasgow Uni’s discretionary fund is closed until September, but they have one specifically set up for the summer period, called the [Cost of Living Fund](https://www.gla.ac.uk/myglasgow/registry/finance/funds/costofliving/). Glasgow Caledonian also has a discretionary fund open for summer applications [here](https://www.gcu.ac.uk/currentstudents/fundingandfinance). If you’re not in Glasgow or enrolled at a different institution, I’d recommend having a look at what options your Uni offers, or even contact the student finance team who would hopefully be able to help. Sorry to hear you’re going through such tough time - hope you’re able to get the support you need. by __eudaimonia (Mon 26th Jun 2023 2:26pm)
