  • I work in the nhs, in my hospital we are already struggling for domestic and portering staff, so I hope this kind of thing becomes more common. by _conchur (Wed 18th Mar 2020 5:25pm)
  • You’ll be fine, just go and be open and friendly and people will be in return. The media overstates everything. I went to Strathy and had a great time. There were people from all over the world, and everyone had a great time together. by _conchur (Fri 1st May 2020 6:56pm)
  • Brilliant, what a great idea! by _conchur (Mon 11th May 2020 10:27pm)

  • Great way to advertise your restaurant, I’ve heard though that running cyclists over is even better. by _conchur (Mon 13th Jul 2020 10:13am)
  • Yeah, some people just hate cyclists. I had much the same incident on my way home from work last week. It’s like I was absolute scum and cycling just to piss everyone off, not because hospital parking is £10 a day. by _conchur (Mon 13th Jul 2020 10:22am)

  • Im quietly hoping that these temporary measures become so popular and appreciated that they become permanent. If cycling wasn’t such a ball ache it would definitely be taken up more. by _conchur (Mon 24th Aug 2020 10:26am)
  • I've seen guys on them doing doughnuts at the entrance to the Morrison's on the Gallowgate. Pretty sketchy stuff. by _conchur (Wed 16th Sep 2020 8:34pm)
  • It's pretty mental how much that part of the city center has changed. Although the Stockwell Street carpark would've all been railway, it does feel like that part of town is now a bit of a dead zone. by _conchur (Sun 20th Sep 2020 8:43pm)
  • Thanks, I'm too weak minded to disagree with Firefox. by _conchur (Sun 20th Sep 2020 9:37pm)

  • I work in the NHS as a technician, and I visit pretty much every ward in my hospital and the ward clerks cannot believe how much the non-covid mortality rate is spiking, since these patients are so much worse than before. So it’s no longer just about isolating from covid and saving your granny (as important as that is), it’s now about making sure cancer patients etc get the treatment they need, by ensuring the beds are not occupied by covid patients. In essence, don’t be a selfish cunt. by _conchur (Sat 31st Oct 2020 11:56am)

  • I visited a friend in London last January and after singing '500 Miles' at me, when I said to his friends that I lived in Glasgow they said 'oh I'm so sorry'. Hadn't ever visited. by _conchur (Sun 24th Jan 2021 2:05pm)

  • We got three letters for the people who used to live in our flat. We searched up their names online and it looks like they don't even live in the country anymore. We phoned up to see if we could maybe get their appointments and they just said they have to phone to cancel. Mental to think how much this must be happening. by _conchur (Tue 15th Jun 2021 6:20pm)

  • I wish I could be of more help, I tried two different psychologists without a lot of luck. Exposure therapy helped a great deal for me though! But just in small doses at first, and building it up. by _conchur (Fri 30th Jul 2021 6:53pm)
  • Yeah I can see! by _conchur (Fri 30th Jul 2021 9:22pm)
  • Yeah, get used to it, we have to hand over the city to them. I can’t go in my car anywhere today since the main road outside my flat parking is closed for them. Scotland is a totally normal country. by _conchur (Sat 18th Sep 2021 9:30am)

  • Need this on bell street too. The road is closed for bridge works at the minute and not having cars blasting along all night has been heaven. Dreading their return. by _conchur (Thu 2nd Dec 2021 2:17pm)
  • Yeah, its weird how cars have been getting quieter for years and yet somehow pops and bangs were allowed all of a sudden. by _conchur (Thu 2nd Dec 2021 9:26pm)
  • I haven't shot every film but I've found Edinburgh and Glasgow look great with ilford Delta and Kodak Porta. I shot Ektar and Portra in the Highlands when I lived in Inverness and Portra was always the winner, Ektar just didn't come out great - I think it always needs to be shot in a very bright and sunny situation. Delta is nice in seaside towns and cliffs and such to make it all look really sharp, I wouldn't recommend it for landscapes. Overall, and probably a surprise to no one, Kodak Portra is a very safe choice for most situations. by _conchur (Sat 4th Dec 2021 5:56pm)
  • Ah thats good to know! Will need to check them out. I develop at home but always keen to buy from independent places. by _conchur (Sat 4th Dec 2021 10:39pm)
