  • Tks - I have seen that as well. Just hoped since it was a UK fight someone would have made an event out of it. There must be ton of UFC Fans in Glasgow by agbullen (Sat 19th Mar 2022 7:47am)
  • Thanks - unfortunately I am not sure the places shown will keep UFC on - I will check though. by agbullen (Sat 19th Mar 2022 7:54am)

  • What changes should happen to fix this ? I don't mean the strikes etc. I am asking what the government/society needs to do to fix this ? Is universal income the solution as an example ? Obviously you are not a Tory fan - what does the party you like suggest we do to fix the mess ? by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 2:14pm)
  • Fellow software guy here, what would you like to see a different government do to fix this mess ? I ask because I haven't seen any good answers, just complaints. Unfortunately I don't have any good answers myself. by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 2:19pm)
  • Unfortunately Europe is in just as bad a shape as we are, what do you believe should/could be done to improve things ? by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 2:16pm)
  • Thank you. Some good ideas in there for sure - and some that might be a bit too far out there for mass consumption or realistic implementation. No doubt there is a huge problem right now. by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 4:03pm)
  • Thank You - excellent read and great ideas. by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 4:09pm)
  • The energy mismanagement and stopping drilling and not allowing nuclear have all certainly led to these insane prices. by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 4:05pm)
  • I agree would much prefer Nuclear over any sort of drilling - but if it came down to people freezing or starving I would even support fracking. Storing excess energy is a very valid issue and one that should be addressed. The amount of mismanagement and all the complexities that have been added to the simplest tasks due to all the ridiculous laws that have been created in the past 30 years has increased costs for everything. Personally I blame the lawyers for this as more complexity means more billing opportunity. Like consultants they have figured out there is far more money to be made being part of the problem vs. part of the solution. by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 4:42pm)
  • Very well written !!! It is a shame that in this modern world and in a country as rich as Scotland that people have to worry about affording electricity and food. Utilities should be able to provide energy at an affordable price, I am not immediately jumping on the nationalisation bandwagon because as bad as big business can be Governments can be way worse, but I do see your point about it being a basic need. Unfortunately one of the most important things to people today is their credit rating - not paying bills will immediately affect peoples credit rating and I don't think many could afford that. by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 5:03pm)
  • When you walk around the West End all the pubs, cafes and restaurants are busy. What are people spending ? by agbullen (Fri 19th Aug 2022 6:27pm)
  • Also American living in Glasgow - will u be watching NFL this year ? by agbullen (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 12:07pm)
  • No problem finding that in at the pubs that's for sure. Apparently you have to be careful not to pick sides with the two Glasgow teams though. by agbullen (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 12:10pm)
  • Calibruch you need to book way in advance. They have 2 other great restaurants under the same owners. Bar Bret and Shucks. Shucks is a higher end venue, but both have great food. MeatJoint is excellent for high end steaks etc. by agbullen (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 10:52am)
  • Thanks - haven't been there. Will be sure to check it out. So spoilt for Great Food in Glasgow by agbullen (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 10:59am)
  • Thanks - I like football but am happy just watching the game and appreciating great play by either team. I have always found everyone I have come across in Glasgow to be amazing- as they say it's the people who make Glasgow. by agbullen (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 10:57am)
  • Yes - I forgot about that. by agbullen (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 10:59am)
  • I bought from them and found them easy to deal with. They presented the property well. by agbullen (Sat 24th Sep 2022 10:46am)
  • The Loveable Rogue - excellent food and super friendly staff. by agbullen (Sun 25th Sep 2022 8:32am)
  • Interesting you mention the time as I think you may be on to something. The service does seem much worse later in the day. by agbullen (Sun 25th Sep 2022 8:29am)
  • Really not a good look for Glasgow. Those of us who live here end up forgiving them because Glasgow is such an awesome city and flying out is normally pretty convenient. However there really is no excuse for this. by agbullen (Sun 25th Sep 2022 8:35am)
  • Totally agree when a Bar is heaving. I am talking more about a Pub when its not overly busy. Used to be everyone stood around the Bar and chatted about Football, politics, weather etc. Pubs used to be the man's way of therapy and you get a pint as well. Glasgow has some beautiful pubs just a shame to see many of them pushing everyone to sit at a table. by agbullen (Sat 1st Oct 2022 8:27am)
  • Yeah probably true by agbullen (Sat 1st Oct 2022 8:31am)
  • Definitely going to try the Griffin. Walked by the other day and the place looks amazing after the revamp. by agbullen (Sat 1st Oct 2022 8:30am)
  • Sure you can go to Fly South and sit down with a nice Martini and have a good time, but it used to be you could go to a pub, grab a pint at the bar and watch some football etc. with others. Now you have to sit down. Nothing about annoying others - just like standing at the bar vs being forced to sit in a seat. by agbullen (Sat 1st Oct 2022 8:29am)
  • No one wants some idiot chatting with everyone when they obviously aren't interested. Totally agree with you there. However I think that is far more the exception than the norm when people are standing at the bar having a pint. by agbullen (Sat 1st Oct 2022 8:35am)
  • Absolutley - hate it when someone does that. You shouldn't feel bad- just look at your phone like you have a message to answer - that's what I do. by agbullen (Sat 1st Oct 2022 8:48am)
  • I believe OP is asking if the place will be able to see what happened on camera and then go after this piece of garbage. by agbullen (Thu 30th Mar 2023 5:43am)
  • Normally I appreciate funny replies- but this is a serious situation and should be treated as such. It sounds like this clown needs to be found and locked up before he does it again. by agbullen (Thu 30th Mar 2023 5:42am)
  • Don't be nervous - Glasgow is an amazing city. West End is very much like walking around Greenwich Village in NYC - great cafes, bars, and real pubs. The food scene in Glasgow is awesome and obviously lots of good whisky. Kelvingrove Museum is absolutely worth a stop, as is Glasgow University. As you can tell from some of the replies, Glaswegians love to make a joke, but as cities go, Glasgow is very safe. West End is 100pct safe and easy. I am sure you will meet people going out. by agbullen (Tue 4th Apr 2023 6:50am)
  • I heard that's amazing. Great recommendation by agbullen (Tue 4th Apr 2023 8:17am)
  • You are correct. It is a compliment by agbullen (Tue 4th Apr 2023 11:42am)
  • Yes, the world is a lot better place with Lewis in it. You can see how proud and loving his parents are. by agbullen (Thu 6th Apr 2023 3:41pm)
  • I know he is/was living in Glasgow - but no matter what a super guy. by agbullen (Thu 6th Apr 2023 5:05pm)
  • It's just an incredible documentary - very moving and super positive. I think Lewis sharing this will help so many people with their mental health. by agbullen (Thu 6th Apr 2023 9:38pm)
  • I knew his name before this, but not his music. I did recognize the songs. Actually, understanding the stories behind the songs gave me a huge amount of respect for his intelligence and talent. I think he could have an even more successful career as a comedian or actor. He is naturally funny and hard not to like. by agbullen (Fri 7th Apr 2023 4:47am)
  • I don't know him personally and have never met him. However, many people in the area have, and yours is the first negative thing I have heard about him. Everyone can have a bad day. Perhaps that was the case. Certainly, in the documentary, he came across as very normal. by agbullen (Fri 7th Apr 2023 10:36am)
  • Totally get it - maybe his Girlfriend was there and had given him the evil eye. We never know. by agbullen (Fri 7th Apr 2023 10:51am)
  • Hop on Bus is worth it for a view of Glasgow. After that, highly recommend West End for pubs and restaurants. Kelvingrove Museum is definitely worth visiting and an awesome walk up from the Museum and thru the park past the Botanical Gardens up to the canal. Close to Glasgow via train is Sterling well worth a visit. by agbullen (Fri 7th Apr 2023 10:41pm)
  • The Castle you muppet by agbullen (Sat 8th Apr 2023 10:26am)
  • Yes - Thank you for correcting my spelling - I am the muppet - also I hadn't paid attention to the Gardens being called Botanic before. by agbullen (Sat 8th Apr 2023 10:31am)
