  • I've lived in Springfield Gardens for years, it's very quiet for the most part - as it's off the main road you don't get as much noise as you might expect, but there can be the odd problem with people parking quite far up onto the pavements. It's not the hippest area for stuff like cafés and bars etc, but you're a very short walk from the Forge which has plenty of shops and a Cineworld (I've got plenty of use out of my unlimited card while I've been here) and Dennistoun is only about a twenty-five minute walk away if you do want a drink or a meal out somewhere a bit nicer. The biggest downside is that if you rely on public transport, your best bet will be the bus - the closest trains are from Dalmarnock or Duke Street, so not quite on the doorstep. If you don't mind the bus you'll be very well served, with at least four frequent services along the Gallowgate that get you into town within twenty minutes or so. by chrisob84 (Wed 21st Apr 2021 5:16pm)
  • Fantastic, I'll give them a look - thank you! by chrisob84 (Mon 17th May 2021 3:05pm)
  • I'm sorry to hear that, it does seem to depend on the centre and the day - I got mine at the Mosque on Saturday, there were minimal queues and ended up getting jabbed fifteen minutes before my actual appointment time. I think that was probably the exception rather than the rule though... by chrisob84 (Mon 31st May 2021 5:43pm)
  • Does anyone know whether the COP stuff around the river has been dismantled/opened up yet? I might walk across the river on my way home if you can use the footbridges again. by chrisob84 (Wed 17th Nov 2021 11:44am)

  • Got a return earlier but all the barriers were open so neither ticket was used - have left them on this wee box at the rear entrance to Argyle St station. by chrisob84 (Sat 17th Sep 2022 1:05pm)
  • This is a horrid situation to be in, but there will be steps you can take and support available. As a first step, speaking to Breathing Space might be an idea: https://breathingspace.scot/ Not exactly the same but I recently had a high anxiety situation that I was having trouble getting through, but phoning them at a particularly low moment really did help and it put me back on track (it actually felt easier to open up to a stranger than to someone I know). Please, please don't end things, you are important and you will be missed. by chrisob84 (Tue 27th Sep 2022 6:56am)
