  • Have a look here, canal views, easy through tunnel to govan, pretty close to west end, 8 min train to town, and underground parking. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77507477.html by coopertrooper (Tue 15th Jan 2019 6:28pm)
  • It's not too bad, stayed there for a few years without any problems. "South" of maryhill rd, doubt you'll get anything with underground parking for less than 200k. Don't rush into anything! by coopertrooper (Tue 15th Jan 2019 7:32pm)
  • FFS, easy one this, balaclava, turned backward, sorted! by coopertrooper (Mon 28th Jan 2019 5:46pm)

Was a dodgy place, I remember upstairs in that corner building there was hunners of porn stalls, must have been big business pre internet, second hand scud mags! by coopertrooper (Sat 28th Dec 2019 5:32pm)

  • On the contrary, cos they are a big concrete lump, they are the quietest flat I've every stayed in. Soundproofing was the only good thing That's not too say they don't have their own problems, crap maintenance, really really poor build quality, factors squeezing you for dosh constantly. We still have one and rent out, but wouldn't advise anyone buy one, but good to rent. by coopertrooper (Thu 6th Aug 2020 7:04pm)
  • Also, the latest dawsholm incidents were at the bearsden switchback entrance, nowhere near lochburn, bad things can happen anywhere by coopertrooper (Thu 6th Aug 2020 7:06pm)

  • You can download an app, such uses gps, so you can point your aerial directly at Blackhill. I got a perfect signal from my loft using that after ages of fannying about, got the app, lined it up, job done. Uk Ariel Alignment the app is called by coopertrooper (Mon 28th Sep 2020 9:57pm)
  • Same, always heard about him in the 90's about possil / maryhill. Everyone seemed to claim to have seen him except me. I claim urban myth with mibbe a tiny sliver of truth to start the tale. by coopertrooper (Wed 30th Sep 2020 11:23pm)

  • Thanks, will try here and springburn 👍 Everywhere is so busy cos of lockdown, list thing I want is a bigger crash with a toddler and a pensioner. Cheers! by coopertrooper (Sat 6th Feb 2021 12:34pm)
  • That's the problem, the usual places are just too busy for a toddler cycling by coopertrooper (Sat 6th Feb 2021 12:37pm)
  • Naw, but have a photo of me in the general Lee car from dukes of hazard at three jolly G somewhere. Maybe seen kit from knightrider too, can't be certain on that tho . . . by coopertrooper (Tue 23rd Mar 2021 8:18pm)
  • Definitely mould like that is not good, I had it in a previous fairly new flat, some mould remover, decent anti mould stain block paint them some emulsion. They could be sorted for £50 and an afternoon. . . . by coopertrooper (Tue 30th Mar 2021 7:58pm)
  • Found the Communist by coopertrooper (Tue 30th Mar 2021 7:54pm)
  • The flat is definitely very small, but living in the heart of the west end for 300 quid a month, I wouldn't be moaning, plenty would kill for that! by coopertrooper (Tue 30th Mar 2021 8:01pm)
  • I said that because of one poster said you should only be allowed to buy one property, if someone works hard and can afford a second home, be it a rental holiday home or whatever, in a free state, this should be allowed. by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 7:55am)
  • Depends how far you want to take it. i know someone with 5 cars that are rented out as taxis, should he only be allowed one to free up more cars for everyone else? by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 6:22pm)
  • A communist for saying that you should only be allowed ONE property. Maybe only allow people 1 Child, everyone earn more or less the same, see where this is heading??? by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 6:21pm)
  • Ok, right enough it's not communism as everything would be state owned. But - restricting it would be a step towards Chinese style watered down communism. I'll leave it at that, we are lucky to live here and spend our hard earned how we like, no matter how hard they tax it 👍 by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 6:36pm)
  • I dunno how long you have been trying to get onto the ladder, but the current crazy offers over prices are mostly due to short supply due to covid, not buy to letters paying over the odds at this moment in time. I don't have any proof of this, just my opinion. by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 6:43pm)
  • Before I put the phone away, here's the latest words plucked from my arse. Your a bit deluded if you think everyone who owns more than one property is crazy rich, maybe if you are a massive property tycoon type landlord. Mostly, it's a low to zero profit long term investment that could even be a disaster if prices crashed or interest rates went 70's style, then you get the tenants who trash the place, don't pay, etc, etc It might be rosy just now, but nothing lasts forever . . . by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 7:14pm)
  • Lemon Tree every time, delivery terrible though, go get it if your allowed to! by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 7:26pm)
  • You more or less did : "Because you use your hard work and success to punish the likes of me, by extracting more from me in rent than it costs you to pay for the property, therefore stopping me from being able to purchase one myself." by coopertrooper (Wed 31st Mar 2021 7:43pm)
  • Yeah your right, not with wife and spewy toddler tho! by coopertrooper (Wed 9th Jun 2021 6:28pm)

  • I've been going to morrelos since late 90s. Last few years, I haven't been as much as don't live as close any more, but it's changed. Still good, but not as good. I think new management maybe? Still the best in the area though. by coopertrooper (Tue 23rd Nov 2021 6:08pm)
  • Sounds a kinda weird thing to do 🥺 Why did use no all get taxis?? by coopertrooper (Mon 14th Mar 2022 7:55pm)
  • This, unless your car is rare, you should find one on eBay, even if you have to buy a different colour and correct colour cap separately, and fit yourself, easy by coopertrooper (Sun 29th May 2022 10:05pm)

  • You've not made anything, the 25k increase might sound good, but the house your looking to buy will have increased by a similar percentage. Meaning you will have to borrow more money over a longer period, costing you a *lot* more in interest over the term. by coopertrooper (Wed 20th Jul 2022 9:09pm)
  • Optimax - 9 years ago for £1650 for both eyes, which seems really cheap looking back, did haggle and took a standby type cancellation appointment. Eyesight still good, but dry eyes never improved and lens flare at night. Researching after having it done, the dryness and night vision is down to my pupils being big and as big as the machine would do, I think 9mm. Would still do it again despite the above - hated glasses, not practical for work / sport by coopertrooper (Sat 1st Oct 2022 3:08am)
  • If the noise is stopping you sleeping, when I lived in noisy flats, at my wit's end I eventually resorted to ear plugs - annoying at first, but persevere and they become second nature. I had some great sleeps after that, even sleeping in on occasion. The hard part is the first week or so getting used to them. Try a few different types, silicone, wax, foam, whatever, see what works. by coopertrooper (Sun 20th Nov 2022 9:30pm)
  • THIS The anti mould paint, can be got in an aerosol, clean it and go to town with the aerosol can, it dries white, paint over in right colour if required. Worked for our similar mould and never came back. by coopertrooper (Wed 11th Jan 2023 9:15pm)
