  • I mean I wouldn't call something that focuses on the architecture of the interiors and it's functionality for human occupancy pretentious but that's just me... by doggonegirl777 (Wed 5th Jan 2022 9:37am)
  • DELETED What do you mean 'get my licence at least 6 months a year?' Not sure what you being my 'enforced' either. The required hours of driving lessons by law are around 20-25 where I come from, if I remember correctly. How further apart are the lessons or how many hours of lessons one is having per week is influenced by the schedules of the instructor and the student alike. For me, it was a 2-month process until I passed my exams (theory + driving test) on the first try. Until the official (full or whatever you call it) licence will be released which takes some time unfortunately (around 3 months), I am allowed to drive in my home-county on a temporary licence. This temporary licence ofc is only valid for use within the country that grants it; not other countries. by doggonegirl777 (Sat 22nd Jan 2022 4:48pm)
  • That's good to know! Is just that I would feel safer knowing I have an actual instructor by my side rather than a mate. Maybe I could initially have a couple of lessons and then rent a car. That sounds more wise. by doggonegirl777 (Sat 22nd Jan 2022 4:53pm)
  • DELETED I am sorry but I haven't nowhere here stated that I made any application for that matter. I don't even have my official EU licence in my hands yet cause it hasn't been released yet. I merely looked at GOV.UK under the Driving Licences section (https://www.gov.uk/driving-nongb-licence) to find out if I can drive in Great Britain with my non-GB driving licence, and it looks like I can. I haven't looked at the specifics nor have I stated that I have. When the right time comes, I will contact the appropriate authorities to determine my next steps required by UK law. I was merely posing a theoretical question about my options to gain some driving experience in the UK while already knowing how to drive. Maybe people knew of ways that wouldn't require me to go down the same (costly) path as someone who has never driven before or whatever. FYI, I have been in my home-country for 5 months now. by doggonegirl777 (Sat 22nd Jan 2022 6:52pm)
