  • Found this out last week. Was expecting about a grand to replace the blown inner sheet of the double glazing unit. Turns out only the unit needs done for a whopping £140. Adult life.... by floydtootmahoo (Sun 8th Nov 2020 8:16pm)
  • I had this issue when using a vpn as obviously it looks like you're somewhere else thus triggers the fraud flags. Had to exclude the app from my vpn and that fixed. Probably not anywhere near your issue but you never know! by floydtootmahoo (Mon 9th Nov 2020 5:05pm)
  • Sorry just saw this. I used a guy our family has used called Jim. Here's his number if it's any use (from airdrie) [Name] Jim weightman Glazier [Mobile] +44 7947 866709 by floydtootmahoo (Tue 10th Nov 2020 2:28pm)

  • They are booklice and completely harmless to have around although you will want to get to the problem as to why they are calling your home as home. They are primarily found in damp/mouldy conditions as they eat the mould. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 15th Nov 2020 12:42pm)
  • Forget about it this side of Christmas. Any shipments coming in which are not many are from pre orders that weren't fuffiled by launch day. Expected for general purchase around the end of January to mid Feb. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 15th Nov 2020 12:40pm)
  • Good luck with your move. I stay in airdrie too and all of your budgets are manageable. If looking to stay here cairnhill is fairly quiet and rent isn't bad. Similar position to you it's difficult making friends at this age. Sucks. by floydtootmahoo (Mon 16th Nov 2020 12:15pm)
  • This is absolutely spot on. People don't don't have any reason to spend time leaving a positive review for no reward. Especially applicable for technology / phones. Probably wee hipsters that got punted for coming in half jaked by floydtootmahoo (Thu 19th Nov 2020 2:18pm)
  • As harsh as it may be I would give up she obviously doesn't want to be contacted as evident by her father blocking you (pretty sure he would've said to her hence the blocking) What you don't want to be doing is crossing the line of stalking. I get your intentions and am having the same thoughts about my now ex wife however some things are best left. Keep the chin up. by floydtootmahoo (Thu 19th Nov 2020 8:26pm)

  • Finding the whole thing rather innocent and amusing. Fair play he is Commited. For anyone wanting some sort of a Colin time capsule here you go. Googling his number brings up his classics from over the years. https://www.google.com/search?q=07833353501&oq=07&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j69i59l2j69i60.945j0j9&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 by floydtootmahoo (Sat 21st Nov 2020 7:28pm)
  • English accent? and always looking for money for a "hostel" always just £2 even when someone's given her money or she's just spoken to you but the drink has made her forget. by floydtootmahoo (Sat 21st Nov 2020 10:13pm)
  • Hahaha that's her. Wish you hadn't said her introduction as it's bugging me to know her name. She usually hangs about near the Starbucks down the lane at the bottom of Buchanan St. Gets £2 then runs to her pimp / dealer at the four corners for her supplies. Last time I was with my ex wife she came up to us I put my hand up and recited her whole spiel word by word. Wee Jimmy krankie wasn't amused. by floydtootmahoo (Sat 21st Nov 2020 10:39pm)
  • I would go with the Airbnb route. When my then wife and I moved back from Germany we booked a nice Airbnb out in a place called Mount Vernon which is outside the city centre with great transport links. Used that time to go and physically see flats rather than just jump in at something online. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 22nd Nov 2020 8:00am)
  • Firstly I would speak to the factors / Council if its council property. Would be more of a nuisance report. Going from past experience nothing will ever be done other than a few passive aggressive notices being placed. by floydtootmahoo (Mon 23rd Nov 2020 2:56pm)
  • Very common in any job you may be working with danger (rail tracks, engineering etc and even Costco). If you do drugs give it a wide berth or clean up for the sake of a job. Will involve a pre employment screening which usually is a piss and or hair test and the random future tests are the same. Had it to work in Scottish Power before. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 24th Nov 2020 3:39pm)

  • As far as advertising boards go it’s pretty cool looking compared to the usual shite. But aye pretty out of place and I find them dangerously bright and eye catching for the wrong reasons (what they intend but fucking dangerous) by floydtootmahoo (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 5:50pm)
  • Had a COVID test at Glasgow airport this morning for 9am. Turned up at 8:50 with it virtually empty. Out for 8:55. Quite impressed with the efficiency of everyone involved. Now time to stew in a room for a few weeks, can already feel it causing me some breathing issues on top of those I already so a trip to the hospital isn’t far off. 2021, what a great year. by floydtootmahoo (Mon 11th Jan 2021 9:40am)
  • Results back last night and was positive, yes. Had lost my smell and had a very high temperature so pretty much knew I had it. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:28am)
  • Mines too, depressed as fuck about having COVID and turning 30. Not sure what’s worse! Happy birthday to you! by floydtootmahoo (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:33am)
  • Cheers, you too! Nah I’m a boring as fuck person and don’t drink anymore anyway so it’s just going to be a cozy day in with the dog! We can only hope there will be some sort of normality by then. Hopefully is birthday 30.5 and not lockdown 30.5! by floydtootmahoo (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:44am)
  • You have the right idea. Never feel the need to justify something that will bring joy and memories of childhood especially in times like this. Half tempted to get my train set and sceletrix down from the loft! Have a good one too! by floydtootmahoo (Tue 12th Jan 2021 9:35am)
  • I don’t really think that’s advisable. No different to people going hillwalking or whatever and getting into trouble....then emergency services have to take time away from everything going on to come to the rescue. Will probably get downvoted to fuck but it’s the truth. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:01pm)
  • I would highly recommend the underheugh ark. They are (or were) based out of the lever bank kennels just next to the old Hurlet carvery. They mainly had bigger dogs such as huskies and malamutes etc. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:10pm)
  • Used to do their broadband support about 10 years ago through in Edinburgh. We were told over a speakerphone that we had lost our jobs same day as they’d taken support back in-house at sky park. Hated them ever since. Probably better getting through to India given some of the roasters I used to worth with. by floydtootmahoo (Wed 13th Jan 2021 12:29pm)
  • Absolutely (Sykes Edinburgh outsourcing) by floydtootmahoo (Wed 13th Jan 2021 12:34pm)
  • That is absolutely spot on. We had access to the ticketing / provisioning system and all 100 staff logged in using the same user account. Improvement from before where we would literally have to call through to an o2 agent and ask them to log a ticket / update. It was a complete shambles. Glad to hear it wasn’t only our company that was doing these shady practices. Sounds like it came from / was encouraged from o2 themselves. Glad I got out the outsourcing game and became a real technician with the ability to do more than request someone turns their router off and on! by floydtootmahoo (Wed 13th Jan 2021 12:59pm)
  • Sykes enterprise! Just at the end of the m8 near the Gyle. by floydtootmahoo (Wed 13th Jan 2021 7:33pm)
  • Few of the day today shops sell them, certainly the one in Blantyre does along with perfect draught kegs. Like you I’m sick of having to spend a tonne when I might just fancy an odd pint. Plus they honour the £5 keg return towards new kegs. by floydtootmahoo (Mon 18th Jan 2021 10:31pm)
  • To become a good journo do your own research otherwise it’s a slippery slope to Glasgow live. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 19th Jan 2021 5:19pm)
  • Asking people to name them is research? Surely that’s the people researching for OP. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 19th Jan 2021 6:57pm)
  • Always wondered this myself until I went on a cruise and we needed to use the washing room. Full of the patrons of the geriatric ward gossiping about last nights antics by the ships drunks. If ever you need to know everyone’s business. This is the place. by floydtootmahoo (Wed 27th Jan 2021 9:39am)
  • If there’s marks then say to them. But it likely will get repainted the same colour. For sure mention as you don’t want to get dinged by a shitty landlord recouping your deposit for something a previous tennant done. by floydtootmahoo (Thu 28th Jan 2021 3:39pm)
  • Definitely with you on this. I stayed up to watch teleshopping channels one night. I’m no 90 and am I fuck paying just 1 payment of £9.99 followed by 140 small payments of £16.90 for a fucking tin opener. by floydtootmahoo (Mon 1st Feb 2021 9:39am)
  • Absolutely this. The croissants are just delightful. By far the worst one I’ve had was from M&S which was massively more expensive. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 7th Feb 2021 6:40pm)
  • Separated from my wife just after the end of lockdown 1.0 so the sex has went from plentiful to zero. Drive is through the roof but I’m not interested in even beginning to move on just yet in that aspect. On the plus side I’ve lost nearly 5 stone in weight due to waking up and changing my lifestyle to an active one. 6 mile walk with the dug any day over 2 pumps and a squirt. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 9th Feb 2021 1:32pm)
  • Order as normal. If they’re out working then you know….it’s their job. Seen plenty of riders out this morning and have just gone out myself doing some just-eat. by floydtootmahoo (Tue 9th Feb 2021 1:36pm)
  • Aye you’ll be the talk of the flat earther / anti vax / 5g conspiracy nut groups. There’s no getting through to people like that and as much as I want to knock utter fuck out of them it just makes you look the dick. We can have the last laugh when they finally realise it’s not all just a hoax and they’re pan bread. Good job on getting his details ya fat ugly cow 😂 by floydtootmahoo (Wed 10th Feb 2021 3:33pm)
  • Pretty sure the switch has a dock that you pop it into which has an hdmi. Certainly for the full priced switch. The switch light is handheld only as far as I know. by floydtootmahoo (Wed 10th Feb 2021 4:34pm)
  • What the fuck are you even on about? A conspiracy nut was mentioned. Nothing about mental illness. You are indeed a snowflake seeking to argue about irrelevant things. You take a literal joke (about nothing related to mental illness, unless you’re tarring conspiracy nuts with mental illness. Tut tut) and find a way to insert yourself in. I have a mental illness, very severe but I’m not spouting about it unwarranted like you are. Get a grip. by floydtootmahoo (Wed 10th Feb 2021 5:05pm)

  • Tesco have it. Get mines from Costco for slightly cheaper. by floydtootmahoo (Thu 11th Feb 2021 3:59pm)
  • Can’t remember from the top of my head for Costco however their website shows 24x 500ml bottles for £18.99. In store is £2-3 cheaper than the online price though so call it around £15. Beats paying £2 a bottle from some places. https://www.costco.co.uk/Grocery-Household/Water-Soft-Drinks/FIJI-Water-24-x-500ml/p/191360 by floydtootmahoo (Thu 11th Feb 2021 4:14pm)
  • DELETED Couldn’t be more true. So many wee neds that are gay too. For most places these days being straight isn’t the norm, enjoy being the majority ;) Where I’m from in Airdrie it’s pretty bustling. In my street we have someone who identifies as a traffic cone, a nice lesbian couple and someone who wants to be referred to they/them. by floydtootmahoo (Fri 19th Feb 2021 1:16pm)

  • Planet coaster is good. Not played in a couple of years but damn that theme tune still sticks in my head. Time to dust off the old classic rollercoaster tycoons. Thanks for that! by floydtootmahoo (Sun 21st Feb 2021 5:42pm)
  • I feel ya. Mines is filled with rollercoaster things, food reviews and flying related videos. Stuck down a hole. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 21st Feb 2021 6:07pm)

  • Hope the dug is ok, honestly love them more than humans. Aww ra best ya ugly fat cow 😂 by floydtootmahoo (Sat 27th Feb 2021 5:02pm)
  • Would highly recommend CO VAULT https://covaultworkspace.com Failing that we used storage first in Paisley for a storage unit and included in that price was access to their onsite gym, conference room access, office use, mail facilities and a kitchen. All that for a £100 per month storage unit. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 28th Feb 2021 12:24pm)
  • They are understandably busy as the store is closed for walk ins. I ordered and received something last week but had to keep checking for available slots. It’s to be expected until this pish is away to fuck by floydtootmahoo (Mon 1st Mar 2021 11:08am)
  • No bother at all. You can collect however it’s collect by car only as far as I’m aware. Pretty easy as you order and select the date then turn up to IKEA and call the number provided to state you have arrived. 5 mins later was told to proceed to bay number x and was out within a few minutes. Painless although this was The Edinburgh one but I’d imagine the same at Glasgow. by floydtootmahoo (Mon 1st Mar 2021 11:19am)
  • What part is surreal? The scale of it or the fact the place we all used to go to the shitty irn bru carnival is now a medical place? by floydtootmahoo (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 2:16pm)
  • Aye, having lived in Berlin every time I go to throw away a bottle I have to mentally fight myself. Works so well in Germany as for anyone who does throw away a can or bottle there’s plenty of homeless collecting them. Win win by floydtootmahoo (Sun 7th Mar 2021 7:53am)
  • There’s literally more that do them than don’t. It’s the only desserts you’d find from them for the most part. Just check just eat using a postcode near where you want to get from. by floydtootmahoo (Sun 7th Mar 2021 7:44pm)
