  • Jimmy college has the best, and I mean best, sound studios for students in Scotland. I reckon you'd have to hit Birmingham or London to find better. Therefore the musicians flock to it as they can get the best recordings. The lecturers there are all ex/current music biz. Place is buzzing. by i_sharpen_crayons (Thu 25th Jul 2019 6:48pm)
  • ye mean yer naw a hermit yet? Roads to work have been brilliant all week, knocked a solid 15 off my commute and I get a chance to nip into Asda before the hoarders descend, still have to queue for the checkouts at 7 am. by i_sharpen_crayons (Wed 18th Mar 2020 8:51pm)

  • There's a website that does all the checking for you? I can't find it just now but you set alerts and it emails stores say within 10mi that have it. We use it around Xmas for the family's kids gifts. If I find it I'll send it over. You usually have to be quick on it or it'll sell out again. • I'd go the full bifter and swap out the central heating while your at it. So an ac and heat pump are basically the same thing. Whenever I move house it's the first thing in doing. As someone else mentioned mitsubishi kit it the dogs and it's made through in Livingston. If you're bothered it also cuts your carbon emissions as you can run it off renewable leccy and ditch the gas. by i_sharpen_crayons (Wed 21st Jul 2021 8:13pm)
  • The central tours a bit of a trek if she's far into the pregnancy mind. by i_sharpen_crayons (Mon 6th Sep 2021 10:43pm)
  • As someone else said you don't need gas, look into air source heat pump. Just because the flat below has gas doesn't mean its easy. The pipe from the street might only be big enough for them and not you aswell. Plus if you go electric heating you can go carbon neutral! by i_sharpen_crayons (Sat 11th Sep 2021 11:33am)
  • Or run hybrid ac, cooling in summer and heat in winter. by i_sharpen_crayons (Sat 11th Sep 2021 5:54pm)

  • I had mine done in East Lothian. Best decision ever. Phone consultation due to covid then about a year later, still covid, got the snip. As some else said there's someone there to chat with you while do they do their business. I barely felt the injections and a slight but of tugging but no pain atall. I took paracetamol before and some after but nothing after that. The worst part was getting the gauze off that'd stuck to my ball stitches. Someone at my work had it and had a fair bit of pain during and after but even he's fine now. I got sent away with 2 tubes to send in at 12 & 16 weeks then a letter about another 4 weeks saying I was free to go about it. I was dead cert on having it and haven't had any regrets. I was just over 30 with 2 kids but don't get the feeling that swayed th gp. In lothians atleast you can self refer to the sexyal health clinic. Go for it bud. by i_sharpen_crayons (Sat 4th Dec 2021 5:35pm)

  • I always forget that, and I'm usually sat on my wallet and in a panic push the ticket option. Also, parked at the candleriggs a while back and was 1 minute over, if I'd got a ticket and paid on foot I'd have probably squeezed under the hour limit. Just me being a tight arse though tbf. by i_sharpen_crayons (Tue 15th Feb 2022 7:11pm)
  • Ah shite, is it still open for a while? by i_sharpen_crayons (Sat 16th Apr 2022 8:36am)
  • I work on construction and a while ago when a builder went to start on the site they asked the guy running the parking to finish up at the end of the month. When they had the pre-start with the council they said they'd asked the parking guy to finish up, the council had no idea and hadn't let the space, the guy had just burst the padlock and no one questioned it. He'd been there about 3 year. People make Glasgow! by i_sharpen_crayons (Sat 16th Apr 2022 2:56pm)

  • Just a heads up that the scheme is now closed and its tax free childcare you want to look into. You pay into an account then it gets topped up. It's open to anyone no matter if they are self employed and your employer doesn't have to get involved. by i_sharpen_crayons (Wed 23rd Nov 2022 10:19pm)

  • Is it the tiles or the glue holding them down that has asbestos. If jts the glue it's fairly encapsulated and low risk. Unless you've been sniffing lines of the stuff you'll have had hardly any exposure. by i_sharpen_crayons (Sat 30th Sep 2023 7:33am)
