  • That's rather fucked up but can't say I'm surprised. I'm young myself, seems they prey on young anxious people to get their power trip. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 8:48pm)
  • Jeez that's awful, I hope the person you were supporting wasn't too shaken by that by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 9:05pm)
  • Yeah, that's the issue I have, it was a total overreaction and really freaked me out. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 9:57pm)
  • Queen Street charges 30p as well, but the toilets are in the basement so you can get away with jumping the barriers. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 10:18pm)
  • My go-to if I'm travelling to the bus station is John Lewis in Buchanan Galleries, but that's no good after the centre shuts by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 10:41pm)
  • Was astonishing how far he was going. Not only did he grab me, but he then stood in front of me, blocking access to the urinals. Did he think he was gonna get a medal? by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 10:59pm)
  • I've been considering filing a complaint with SPT. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 11:45pm)
  • Was it a bald guy? Because that sounds exactly like the arsehole I had a run-in with at about half 6. by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 12:57am)
  • Different guy then. Can't say I'm surprised that there are multiple of them that are jobsworth scumbags though. The guy that grabbed me was noticeably tall and had this really snide grin. by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 1:07am)
  • Shuts at 6 sadly, so no good if you're trying to get home after work that. by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 12:55pm)
  • Problem is the guy did actually chase me into the toilets this time, full on positioned himself in front of me in the doorway so I couldn't get to a cubicle or urinal. Looking back I wish I just barged past him and had a piss, would've shattered his ego by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 1:04pm)
  • Always weirds me out when McDonalds has security, Edinburgh is much the same. They make you feel like you're committing a crime for eating there by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 1:32pm)
  • It must be incredibly miserable. But doesn't give you a free pass to be a cunt and falsely accuse members of the public. by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 2:24pm)
  • The attendant at Glenrothes Bus Station was the one that taught me the tactic of pulling the turnstile towards you and squeezing through. by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 4:16pm)
  • that's just the entire Savoy Centre, it's an absolute dive that makes this Fifer feel at home by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 4:25pm)
  • I must've got lucky then, last time I was there I let this really confused tourist and his son through after sneaking through as well and nobody batted an eye. by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 4:25pm)
  • This was at about half 6 in the evening so it was quite busy, probably why security were watching people like hawks by rd3160 (Sun 25th Sep 2022 6:49pm)
  • Lucky bastard...I was there twice the other day (arriving and departing), on the way in the guy was standing over the turnstiles and literally taking people's coins and putting them in for them, and on the way out I had the runin with the jobsworth who accused me of not paying and decided assault was the best option. Every other time I've managed to sneak in. by rd3160 (Mon 26th Sep 2022 11:49am)
  • Unfortunately they still had them when i was in there last week, they're always moist and disgusting. by rd3160 (Sat 1st Oct 2022 5:21pm)
  • The toilets in House of Fraser are so difficult to find that they're always dead, so a good spot for a quiet shite by rd3160 (Sat 1st Oct 2022 5:45pm)
  • I genuinely walked around the entire shop looking for the gents before reluctantly asking someone where it was, turns out it's a random door in the middle of one of the small rooms branching off the big main part. Rear right of the first floor if my memory serves. by rd3160 (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 1:17am)
  • I've found the ones on the first floor of John Lewis are ok but the second floor ones smell of absolute death, has a really long corridor and the stench fills your nostrils by the time your halfway there. by rd3160 (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 1:22am)
  • Went there once and it fucking stank and I'm pretty sure someone was having a wank in the other cubicle. Tasteful decor though I suppose. by rd3160 (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 1:27am)
  • The ones in Buchanan Bus Station seem to have been done up quite recently, they're not that bad, but the jumped up piss police on the turnstiles that try to bully you into paying 30p can fuck right off by rd3160 (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 1:30am)
  • My bladder has always been a bit shite so I've built knowledge over the years haha. by rd3160 (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 1:20pm)
  • His post history is absolutely wild, [this is a personal highlight](https://www.reddit.com/r/glasgow/comments/i28sqt/anyone_remember_the_greasy_egg_challenge_on/) by rd3160 (Sun 9th Oct 2022 9:34pm)
  • Have always wanted to extort myself to watch a DVD in a chippy with a glass of water! by rd3160 (Sun 9th Oct 2022 9:31pm)
  • The mental thought of a guy offering people a "greasy egg" outside House of Fraser is just so random. It's been on my mind for hours. by rd3160 (Sun 9th Oct 2022 11:53pm)
  • Adds up considering the Edinburgh one has just been massively refurbished by rd3160 (Mon 5th Dec 2022 10:06pm)
  • Feels like a bit of a waste to demolish a building that's only 20 years old, but it is admittedly a very flawed building, as others have said it totally blocks off the bus station. I only ever go into it to walk right through to the bus station or vice versa, or occasionally use the loos instead of paying 30p for the shithole bus station ones. Don't think I've spent money in there in years. by rd3160 (Mon 5th Dec 2022 10:17pm)
  • The X24 and X27 are both really bad for this. I rely on the X27 to get to/from work and am now at the point where I'm looking for a new job closer to home. by rd3160 (Sun 18th Dec 2022 12:53am)

  • I'm travelling through from Kirkcaldy, thankfully able to crash at a relative's flat but yeah, the lack of info surrounding the gig is shocking. They emailed out some info today but it's all common sense stuff like "please have your tickets ready" by rd3160 (Wed 21st Jun 2023 5:10pm)
  • Had to empty my pockets and do the whole T-pose thing but it took about 20 seconds, if that. Lady next to me had about 800 things in her handbag and held up quite a lot of people, and I've heard some people didn't get searched at all. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Jun 2023 4:09pm)
  • Honestly found it pretty well set up, we went to the bar during Twin Atlantic's set yesterday (ideally trying to get as far as away as possible from them 😬) and it was pretty quiet, ludicrously expensive though. The ground stayed pretty dry and the sound was great, if a bit loud on the bass side of things. Getting home was a bit of a disaster though, there was some guy in a fiesta refusing to move away from a junction as he demanded to access the closed road, which delayed my bus significantly. Didn't get back to the city centre until after 1. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Jun 2023 4:08pm)
  • We foolishly didn't book a shuttle bus and instead opted to try and get the 153 back to the centre. One didn't turn up and the other was nearly an hour late due to the gridlock traffic, and it was totally full. Poor buggers behind me were trying to get back to East Kilbride. I had to get back to Kirkcaldy but opted to stay with a relative as I knew I wouldn't have been able to get the last train from Edinburgh. by rd3160 (Sat 24th Jun 2023 8:59pm)
  • Power to them - I currently work for a place that pays...8p above minimum wage and about 40p above for lower age groups, the staff turnover is insane and it's quite satisfying seeing people not putting up with the bs. by rd3160 (Tue 27th Jun 2023 9:47pm)

  • have literally only seen someone smoke on the bus once in my life, and it wasn't even in Glasgow by rd3160 (Wed 30th Aug 2023 12:05am)
  • Cowdenbeath has the stock car racing and the advantage of the X27 bus going directly to Cowdenbeath town centre from Buchanan Bus Station by rd3160 (Mon 4th Sep 2023 1:38am)
  • I recommend keeping it quite short to see if you like them or not, i.e. meeting in a coffee shop or going on a short walk in a park, if you don't click then doing a specific activity is going to be a bit shit - I once spent several hours in Edinburgh Zoo with a date that I realised I didn't like, it was a pretty awful day lol. by rd3160 (Tue 12th Sep 2023 2:46am)
  • I swear the staff in Pizza Punks deliberately try to give you a fright by standing right behind your seat and shouting. Weird place. by rd3160 (Fri 15th Sep 2023 2:31pm)
  • Didn't work for the Glasgow branch, but Smashburger are fucking awful employers, a few of the Sauchiehall Street staff used to sometimes cover shifts at the Dunfermline branch where I was and they seemed to have a similarly dim view of the terribly run company - everyone in there was verging on a breakdown and the staff turnover was insane even for a restaurant. Underpaid, illegal shift patterns, cliquey crap management and we got a visit from the owner once and he was the rudest cunt I've ever met, literally stared right through me and barked commands. by rd3160 (Fri 22nd Sep 2023 4:35pm)
  • They've managed to fence off loads of bins too. Genius. by rd3160 (Mon 2nd Oct 2023 7:31pm)
