  • https://twitter.com/trafficscotland/status/1173155989694103555?s=20 Poor guy had jumped around 9am and I think we came across maybe less than a minute after it had happened. 3 or 4 people already there calling for help and trying to tend to him. by theladooshop (Sun 15th Sep 2019 10:01am)

  • >Money over lives to put it bluntly I don't think this is entirely fair... There's new rolling stock arriving and coming online in the next couple of years and the plan is to install platform doors to suit. The new stock has doors in completely different locations to the current rolling stock and any platform doors that got installed now would just have to be removed and re-installed for the new trains. Granted, in an ideal world there would have been platform doors in place for a while now, but there's a lot about the subway that doesn't resemble an ideal world. by theladooshop (Fri 8th Nov 2019 5:21am)
  • Does anyone know a good electrician/electric boiler specialist? My electric boiler keeps tripping its overheat protection system even when under very light load so I wonder if an internal thermostat has gone or something. The flat has all-electric central heating and a hot-water tank for taps+showers because there's no gas in the building at all irritatingly. https://imgur.com/a/iTMBF3L by theladooshop (Mon 22nd Jun 2020 10:24am)
  • Great... I don't envisage Austria's rules changing any time soon so I don't think that's going to come to my rescue. I'll keep looking. by theladooshop (Tue 22nd Sep 2020 6:22pm)
  • Will do. by theladooshop (Tue 22nd Sep 2020 10:53pm)
  • Thanks for the reply! It's looking increasingly like that might have to be the way. Alternatively, order home test kits, take the tests late on the Sunday, and have an express courier delivery for expedited results...pain in the hole either way. Cheers! by theladooshop (Wed 23rd Sep 2020 11:25pm)
  • Awesome, thanks! by theladooshop (Wed 28th Jul 2021 11:00pm)
  • He did, but he's just realised that today they get published in the paper and he'd like a copy as a souvenir if possible. by theladooshop (Wed 28th Jul 2021 11:52pm)
  • It came as a last minute request, and all the supermarkets/shops near me close at 11. Just wondered if someone knew a good late-night option, or somewhere for the following morning. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯ by theladooshop (Thu 29th Jul 2021 1:05am)

  • In case anyone else needs to do something like this, I just tried the Mitchell and they couldn't help. Pre-covid, they'd get the papers delivered and archived daily, but now it's on a monthly basis. by theladooshop (Thu 29th Jul 2021 11:33am)

  • I had a PCR test done at the airport and had the results within 3 hours. The nurse was very confident in the speediness of the turnaround and I heard other nurses saying the same to others getting tested. Obviously no guarantee, but I wouldn't lose any sleep booking a PCR test closer to your departure date/time. by theladooshop (Mon 16th Aug 2021 12:04pm)
  • Matt Window Mate has produced some of the most beautiful sash windows I've ever seen. Maybe a little overkill for what you need, but he's definitely the best I know. https://www.mwmwindow.co.uk/ by theladooshop (Mon 6th Sep 2021 5:10pm)
