  • Try and find a private landlord on gumtree! They are often more relaxed than letting agencies - Id just be careful whether or not they are registered (if registered they’ll have a landlord number). You won’t get in trouble if they’re not registered (that’s on them) but normally if they are then they put your deposit in the safe deposit scheme (which is a legal requirement). by username20000888 (Fri 13th Jan 2023 9:26pm)

  • Have had awwwwful experience with Vodafone - probably spent 10+ hours on the phone with them trying to fix an issue over a month. The worst part was that they didn’t have a file with my info and the people I was speaking to kept messing up so I had to explain the situation probably 15+ times - every time I called and got a different person. absolutely exhausting I used to have to ask if they could turn the hold music off. Am with virgin now and it’s much better so far by username20000888 (Tue 24th Jan 2023 7:33pm)

  • Hug and Pint and Glad Cafe are cool restaurants/bars with nice shows on every night and both in great areas of Glasgow. Barras market is cool and has a lot of sheltered bits, peoples palace is a museum of glasgow social and cultural history and it’s in the same area - curation is a bit old but it’s kind of what makes it special ! Glasgow womens library is nearby too - i think the only dedicated women’s library in Europe or something ? Also go watch some live music ! There’s trad music on every night somewhere in glasgow It’s also Black History Month in Scotland so there are a loooad of amaxing talks and events. There’s a film food festival on at the CCA too. Honestly the amount of stuff to do is always overwhelming - Id recommend looking up galleries and venues on Instagram and seeing what events and workshops they have on by username20000888 (Fri 6th Oct 2023 8:26am)
