  • Yeah, we have the same mix of sound people and cunts as anywhere else. The lockdown's just allowing the cunts to draw more attention to themselves than usual it seems. by xtremekhalif (Sun 28th Jun 2020 10:22pm)

  • I think we as humans get really used to the status quo, I think that's why when things are going well, we don't really take threats seriously (things like climate change, or covid in the first place). And now the status quo is "shite", and it feels really hard to appreciate that this shit will go away soon, but it will. It's going, almost every person in Scotland should have their first dose of a vaccine by the end of May. It's been brutal and will continue to be brutal, but I'm giving it literally everything to just make it through till then. by xtremekhalif (Fri 12th Feb 2021 1:33pm)

  • I don't even know how I feel anymore. I had just managed to cheer myself up after weeks of feeling shite but this roadmap just... I dont know how to physically keep myself going for that long. I feel completely hopeless. by xtremekhalif (Tue 23rd Feb 2021 10:29pm)
  • Disgusting mate, have some academic integrity and stop stealing the work of others! by xtremekhalif (Sat 27th Feb 2021 8:13pm)
  • Sure, but if you're driving there yourself, making sure you have no contact with anyone else indoors, and minimise risky situations (so you don't have to be rescued) then there's not much I see wrong with it. We've already shown outside transmission is very very low, and frankly, people are needing it these days. by xtremekhalif (Sun 28th Feb 2021 3:43pm)
  • I think you skipped Geography class pal... possibly history too by xtremekhalif (Mon 1st Mar 2021 5:43am)
  • If we're not under the 50 cases per 100,000 needed to get to tier 2 by the time everyone's vaccinated then I don't know what the point of the vaccines are. We're currently at about 130 cases per 100,000, you'd imagine that will fall pretty significantly. by xtremekhalif (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 9:14am)
  • I'm fairly sure we've now shown that vaccines do stop, or at least greatly decrease the chances of transmission. Correct me if I'm wrong. by xtremekhalif (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 12:57pm)

  • Yeah, the comment is literally correct. This information has been common knowledge for a while. This is throwing me back to this sub in the summer when every other post was people freaking out about people gathered outside. by xtremekhalif (Sat 6th Mar 2021 4:45pm)

  • We're a weird bunch I know, I it comes from like, something being good in contrast with something else. Like "this song hits different at night" as in you enjoy it more at night than during the day. But it then gets shortened and misused (by me) as "hits different" by xtremekhalif (Sun 7th Mar 2021 10:58am)

  • It's weirdly one of the most downvote happy subs I've been in. A few times now I've seen chains of comments talking about how the virus doesn't really spread outside at like -20 each, the thing is, they're fucking correct. No one bothered to reply or talk about why they thought they were wrong, it was just automatic downvoting, and it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. by xtremekhalif (Mon 8th Mar 2021 4:52am)

  • Not sure where you get that impression, this sub is usually filled with people slagging the "glasgow uni accent" etc by xtremekhalif (Tue 9th Mar 2021 3:41am)
  • I think for a lot of us, it just stems from having to put up with these types of people since we were wains, especially being in a Catholic school or something like that (which I was). You'd be treated differently for not being quite as into it (I quite like football, I was just no good at it). Then you're dealing with families that use the old firm as an excuse to get steaming, where you'd be praying your side won or you'd be dealing with angry drunk pricks for the rest of the day. Then you get the whole violence associated with it (thankfully not as bad, these days), the whole "lad culture" aspect of it, which can get a bit over the top, and the general "fuck you, this is more important than everything else" attitude and you can understand why some people's reaction is to just say fuck the whole sport. Like I said, I actually quite like football, and if Scotland do well at the Euros, I hope we can all go mental together. But the shit at George Square was just a giant middle finger to anyone who's been following the rules, that's the "fuck you" attitude I'm on about. by xtremekhalif (Tue 9th Mar 2021 9:03am)

  • I support Celtic and that but I thought this was complete arsehole behaviour when it was Rangers last year, and it’s arsehole behaviour now. I don’t mind the celebration and the sort of parade aspect to it, but take some pride in your fucking City man. Genuinely comes down to how these people were brought up I think, no taught to look after things. by xtremekhalif (Sat 14th May 2022 10:17pm)
  • I don’t want to just blame it on the drink, but there’s far too many people here that just can’t handle it. Brings out a bad side in folk. Combine that with a bad result and you know what you get. We’ve all seen it a million times, we all know guys that become a different person when they’ve drank too much. And the culture in football that encourages drinking from the second you wake up till you go to bed just makes this worse. Speaking as a football fan, you see it far too often. Shows an ugly, ugly side in people. by xtremekhalif (Wed 18th May 2022 11:51pm)
  • I’ve always wondered if we’d stick with the SNP after independence or if we’d kind of go, “right, yous have done your job now” and go for a more left wing approach. by xtremekhalif (Thu 26th May 2022 5:49pm)
  • It’s quite hard to say actually. I think Glasgow has a lot of people that would say something to you, but then patter a bit and say something like “you’re awrite mate”. But there’s enough of the more violent variety that I feel like a lot of the City Centre can feel like an issue. For a “left-wing” city, (I’d like to think we are), we have a lot of a very specific type of roaster, that tend to be more backwards in their outlook. I don’t think that’s just us though, it’s a similar story right across the UK. by xtremekhalif (Wed 15th Jun 2022 5:49am)

  • Depends on what you’re after. Comfort? Vue Projection quality? GFT or Silverburn Just want the biggest screen? Science Centre I’d avoid cineworld, they’ve disappointed me a few times now with bad projection. by xtremekhalif (Wed 2nd Aug 2023 9:35pm)
