  • When you say “official resident” are you referring to the criteria set out in s.5 of the representation of the people act? Because I live 4 days in Glasgow and 3 in Edinburgh a week. Which means I am resident of both by its standards. I also pay council tax at both addresses. by zebye (Tue 13th Sep 2022 9:28pm)
  • Oh no you’ve got no patience for jumpers :((((. Realistically what is the point in you holding or expressing this opinion? You aren’t going to decrease the amount of time you need to be patient as a result of “jumpers” - at best, you change nothing by spreading this opinion to someone who might agree with you, and at worst, you come across as a cunt to those who disagree with you. And so fucking what if you’ve got not patience! What are you gonna do? Batter them, tell them off? People that commit suicide are often branded as selfish because they seem to be reckless to the fact they are leaving people behind or perhaps traumatise someone during their suicide. I don’t think people who commit suicide are stupid or inherently selfish. They must sit for hours weighing up the pros and cons. It must get to a point where you are aware of the potential damage you might do, but still consider your pain to be so great that you still go through with it. Please empathise with this person… you are more likely to reduce the amount of time you spend waiting, if you can spread a bit of love rather than this shite. by zebye (Sat 15th Apr 2023 1:43am)
  • Get a new solicitor… I have no idea how he managed to graduate law school. You have a real case here. So this guy has committed fraud, or unjustified enrichment at best, being that you have paid him in exchange for something that has failed to materialise. In Scot’s Law, when someone is using the shield of a company to protect themselves from liability, as seems to be the case with this guy, you can “pierce the corporate veil” by establishing that the company has been used to evade a personal right (in this case being that hed do the fucking work you payed for), and go after him personally. Failing this, the company cannot simply be “dissolved” meaning they won’t pay you. If you sue them, it will be incredibly difficult for the company to be dissolved. Even if the company is dissolved before you sue them, I think there is a way to restore the company to the register for the purposes of legal proceedings. I am not completely clear on the details, but you definitely have a case, and are likely to get your money back through the court - GET A LAWYER by zebye (Tue 6th Jun 2023 7:43am)
  • Had this problem too. Your car needs to be: 1) insured at the address your applying for a permit for 2) registered on the V5C under name of a person living at that address 3) the person applying must be the person on the V5C to be eligible for a parking permit. My car was insured in Edinburgh and under my dads name, which meant I couldn’t park it while at uni. Had to reinsure the car and transfer ownership to myself to get a parking permit. by zebye (Sun 27th Aug 2023 10:31pm)
