  • You seem to forget anti monarchy and anti one dead person are in fact two different things by Celestialghosty (Tue 13th Sep 2022 8:28am)
  • Yeah I'm gonna jump on here and also say the bus is great, it's cheap, during busy times booking online ensures you get a seat, it's comfortable, quiet, every seat has charging ports, I usually sit on the bus and do work, or take a book and the time will pass quite quickly by Celestialghosty (Sun 25th Sep 2022 9:58pm)
  • This really bizarre because I work for the NHS and my wards has paid for quite a few staffs Christmas transport. Only reason they wouldn't is if you're bank staff by Celestialghosty (Sun 25th Dec 2022 11:23am)
  • I work in psych and the other night we had so little staff across our 3 wards that when we pulled alarms there was not an adequate number of staff across all 3 shifts to respond. Thankfully the 2 incidents that were alarmed that didn't have adequate responses did not require safe holds but see if they did, we would have had to call in support from other areas. It's scary man. I responded to a ligature last night and after pulling my alarm, only 2 staff were available to respond, one of which was actually on their break. Thankfully it was a loose lig and the patient wasn't resistive but I swear tf see if they were.... by Celestialghosty (Sat 31st Dec 2022 6:18pm)
  • When it comes to respiratory issues, GPs will make every excuse imaginable to not see you. I'd say make phone appointments every few weeks and keep telling them about this issue, as they will need to document it, so that if further down the line something does happen there will be notes of repeated attempts to get a consultation. Unfortunately at present GPs will always do phone consultations before they will even consider seeing a patient and they'll only see patients in special circumstances, so one practice I went to had a list in the reception that stated patients would only be seen is they had xyz issues (can't remember what the list said other than if someone says they have a lump in their breast they're to be seen). by Celestialghosty (Sat 14th Jan 2023 9:11am)
  • I live near a few nature walks and it honestly makes me so sad going on what should be a nice, back to nature walk just to be sorrounded by greenary decorated in empty crisp packets and bottles. Nature walks feel like trash walks now and get even less attention from councils plus the one closest to my house has no bins?? Through the whole walk there is one bin at the start and that's it? I feel like that in itself is encouraging people to litter more by Celestialghosty (Mon 6th Mar 2023 1:22am)
  • One of my friends has a 14yo sister and she's literally orange with the fake tan, and the other week she went up to my friend and told him that she knew a guy in her class had a big dick, and when he asked her how she knew, she replied "because I fucked him". Like bro when I was that age never in a million years would I be openly commenting on dick sized to family members, 2bh even at 24 I wouldn't be saying stuff like that, it's nuts by Celestialghosty (Thu 30th Mar 2023 11:58pm)
  • I tired to get one from my uni because I had lost my job due to placement hours not working with my job and was on the verge of losing my flat because my bursery didn't cover my rent and bills. The uni said I was not eligible for the fund because my situation was a 'long term issues' and the fund is only to help with 'short term problems' so if you have an illness, but will have income coming in once you're well then you're allowed the fund, but if you've lost your job and don't have any guarantee of getting another one then you're not allowed the fund. It might be different for other unis but that was my experience of trying to get the discretionary fund. by Celestialghosty (Tue 4th Apr 2023 11:04am)
  • Absent ear is great by Celestialghosty (Sat 8th Apr 2023 6:49am)
  • With the increased privitisation within the NHS, and the fact they're skint they are trying to cut back surgeries they view as 'non-essential' this includes breast reductions or reconstruction (after mastectomy), loose skin removals, if they can make any argument that it's 'cosmetic' chances are they'll reject it. It's horrible to see. Good luck finding somewhere private that's decent! by Celestialghosty (Sat 8th Apr 2023 6:57am)
  • Ngl springburn is crap but also the psych ward I work in is there and I'd like my job to remain intact 😂 by Celestialghosty (Mon 17th Apr 2023 6:28pm)

  • There's a whole mental health campus there with buildings full of wards dedicated to: camhs, elderly, eating disorders, learning disability, adult acute, pretty sure they have an ipcu aswell it's actually a pretty sick campus (no pun intended) by Celestialghosty (Mon 17th Apr 2023 8:36pm)
  • Ngl one deliveroo driver put me off using the service ever again, I ordered a burrito to be delivered from Glasgow city centre to springburn. When I ordered I added a 15% tip on it aswell. The dude who picked up my ordered cycled which fair enough but when he got here he gave me my burrito and literally said "I have cycled all the way over here, it's a hard journey you owe me more money please please put more tip on the order, I cycled all the way". Made me feel super uncomfortable like you chose to cycle all that way plus my burrito was like £9+ £3-4 delivery fee plus £1.35 tip plus the service fee (which I forgot what it was but my guess is 50p-£1.99) . That's like £15+ for just a burrito then ontop of that the driver made me feel bad for even ordering it and not giving more of a tip. Like yes cost of living is ridiculous and I'm a student I can relate but please don't go begging me for more money by Celestialghosty (Mon 15th May 2023 8:07am)
  • Let's be honest though, would fans even adhere to those zones? A crowd of rowdy drunk football fans aren't exactly know for their respect of space by Celestialghosty (Mon 29th May 2023 12:46pm)

  • I used to live in a single bedroom flat in the furlongs, it was more expensive than my current two bedroom flat (admittedly my 2 bedroom is in burnbank though so understandable) by Celestialghosty (Sat 10th Jun 2023 2:23am)
  • I'm 365 in a two bed flat, Hamilton is wild the prices are not consistent at all by Celestialghosty (Sat 10th Jun 2023 2:22am)
  • 365pm for a two bedroom in Hamilton (I know it's not Glasgow but man I'd take Hamilton over Glasgow for that 365 rent) by Celestialghosty (Sat 10th Jun 2023 2:21am)
  • Or alcohol related brain damage, I work with some people who have arbd and they can be quite aggressive and can repeated things and get annoyed easily. I've also worked with schizophrenics who will use alcohol as a coping mechanism so he might have some functional mental health issues as opposed to organic ones which he drinks to try suppress? Either way dude defos needs help by Celestialghosty (Thu 15th Jun 2023 8:50pm)
  • I work in the NHS and if our fire alarms go off it triggers an emergency service response HOWEVER once these cuts come into place we have to physically call in an incident before we will get a response, this emergency trigger we currently have in place will no longer remain viable. Not sure if this is true across all NHS services but I know that's how it'll work here. by Celestialghosty (Tue 20th Jun 2023 11:46am)
  • From personal experience, it says it's open until 3 but unless you have a ticket to any of its events the main bar area tends to close a lot sooner and to get access to the other area you'd need to buy a ticket if it's not sold out already. Not usually worth it. by Celestialghosty (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 3:01pm)
  • You say this but I'm a female and Ive been denied entry to clubs before in Glasgow because I've 'been alone'. I asked the bouncer why and he said 'someone might take advantage of you and we aren't taking any responsibility for that' as if forcing a woman who's alone to wander the streets of Glasgow is any safer (I had friends inside aswell, I was just late and sober when I turned up). by Celestialghosty (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 11:15pm)
  • Ngl as a woman I've had the exact opposite experience on hinge, people hardly ever reply, I'm getting very few matches (on other dating apps I've had decent matches) and even the people who do talk it just fizzles out after a day or two by Celestialghosty (Sun 25th Jun 2023 7:35pm)
  • For drinks, I love slouch on a weekday because it's usually quiet and has booths and does feel like you have enough privacy. It is more of a rock/ alternative bar though just in case that's not your thing by Celestialghosty (Tue 27th Jun 2023 10:30am)
  • Not good, find other cities to have a much better dating scene. I'm bi so it's not hard to find men but most of them just seem to want one thing, women are even worse feels like less than 1% of women will even reply to messages and this seems to be consistent, even my male friends have trouble getting responses from women by Celestialghosty (Fri 30th Jun 2023 7:48am)
  • And they're not even subtle about it. The worst is the ones who offer to buy you drinks but make you feel like because they spent money on you, it's your obligation to sleep with them. Like excuse me if I was to make sex transactional, it'd be putting put myself at worth more than a £5 rum and coke by Celestialghosty (Fri 30th Jun 2023 1:05pm)

  • Ngl my neighbour was neglecting her dog, didn't walk it, it was always howling and whining, called sspca multiple times and they did absolutely nothing about it, hopefully OP has more luck with them if they try to help the poor cats! by Celestialghosty (Sun 2nd Jul 2023 7:12pm)
  • Believe me when I say the conditions were not clean, the woman was a hoarder and every time I saw her exit her flat all you could see was masses of stuff behind her. It was also one of those flats that you could smell just walking into the apartment complex by Celestialghosty (Sun 2nd Jul 2023 8:32pm)
  • It used to do this to an alright level but since the new update, you can see what buses are due at your stop but can't actually click on the bus you want and see it, you need to actually manually search for the bus and then it won't update the buses movements on the tracker unless you click out of the map and back in. The new update is absolutely pish by Celestialghosty (Tue 4th Jul 2023 10:00am)
  • Ngl I'm impressed people are hitting up the pharmacy early, my local one gets crazy busy an hour or two before closing by Celestialghosty (Thu 6th Jul 2023 5:28pm)
  • You do realise you cannot force people to take meds? (Unless they're on a some sort of detention certificate but even then I'm pretty sure ort isn't covered by detentions) by Celestialghosty (Thu 6th Jul 2023 5:26pm)
  • Which is classed as a opiod analgesic medication by Celestialghosty (Thu 6th Jul 2023 6:45pm)
  • Thanks, I googled it by Celestialghosty (Thu 6th Jul 2023 6:57pm)
  • I work in psych and some people do have dententions that mean they need to take medications but I've never encountered a detention that forces someone to take opioid replacement therapy, I couldn't see it happening 2bh by Celestialghosty (Fri 7th Jul 2023 9:53pm)
  • I do shifts that end at 2am on friday/ Saturday nights and rely on the nightbus to get home, if they take this service away I'll be losing income or will have to be stuck in town for 4+ hours until my bus home! I really hope they don't go through with this 😭 by Celestialghosty (Tue 11th Jul 2023 12:28am)

  • I worked in one of these Bothwell restaurants and let me tell you there's a lot of drugs and dealing going on, theres also a few rich families that basically run the place, the one I worked for has spent time in jail and some of our regulars were his cell mates. We have had brawls in our parking lots and the friends of these rich families have to be treated like royalty by staff, even if said 'royalty' is hostile, abusive and assaulting other customers. It's completely corrupt. by Celestialghosty (Wed 19th Jul 2023 9:57am)

  • There's amazing hand warmers in pound shops, I usually have some in my socks, tights, bra, pockets because I too am terminally cold and those £1-£2 packets of hand warmers make the winter that little bit more bearable by Celestialghosty (Thu 12th Oct 2023 12:35pm)
  • As someone who is lactose intolerant, there's usually only 2 dishes I can even eat there, the fact it's always packed, you have to wait ages for a seat, will be cramped into a table next to total randos trying not to bump elbows with them while you eat makes it very off-putting . by Celestialghosty (Sun 19th Nov 2023 11:38am)
  • In Hamilton, they will be really stingy with sauces, I did the math and approx 85% of all my delivery do not have the sauces that come with the meals, or any of the extra sauces I paid for. Although if I go in store they will give you one extra sauce if you ask for it by Celestialghosty (Wed 6th Dec 2023 3:38pm)
  • Palace grounds is better, the Hamilton west one is consistently shit, I'd say palace grounds gets it right about half the time by Celestialghosty (Thu 7th Dec 2023 8:44pm)
