  • Cool. Most people don't fancy walking miles to collect their food though. Particularly during the winter months. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:38am)
  • Mate... what the actual fuck are you going on about? I haven't deleted anything. I'm guessing you just despise couriers. Wait. You think I'm calling you a prick with that statement? It's a fucking statement, bud. Like saying 'dancing makes you a dancer'. I'm not calling you a prick but am saying that acting like a prick makes someone a prick. Misunderstanding. My bad. Though with your reply here I guess you are a bit of a prick. Also: what's with the "via email"? That's my comment to one of your comments. You make out as if I've emailed that you're a prick. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:31am)
  • Whenever I order anything with fries from Uber or Deliveroo the fries are always cold. Fortunately I'm a creep and like cold fries. Sometimes orders just sit and wait while the apps try and find a courier who wants to take it. I've turned up to annoyed restaurants a few times after accepting a job moments before to be told the order's been sitting for an hour or such. Or if the driver doesn't use a thermal bag or keeps the bag open during transit then there's the culprit. Unless you're literally round the corner from the restaurant and it's not winter. I think ultimately it's just a really flawed system that the apps go by. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:30am)
  • I guess yesterday was an off day. The girl had the face of someone who just could not be fucked when she handed the food over. They usually are really good. One of the fastest places to collect from at least. No chance I'd be going back to the restaurant and delivering a second time for free. But fair play. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:11am)
  • It's his fault for acting the way he did: like a prick. The cunt list is memorized. I'll probably forget his address once the next cunt comes along and replaces it. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:09am)
  • Probably. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:07am)
  • Probably because Justeat pay more. I remember a Justeat guy showing me a job he had. It was like £7 for a less than two mile drop. Uber currently pays £3-£3.50 for this kind of distance. Granted this was like a year ago. The cost of living increases and the apps pay less and less since the pandemic. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 11:04am)

  • As far as I'm aware the entire tip goes to the courier. I usually get a tip notification on Uber like an hour after drop off. With Deliveroo the tip usually shows when I arrive at the customer so I can thank them in person. I'm not with Justeat so I couldn't say with them. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 12:46pm)
  • Then with uber and roo you're left to wait ages for a £3 drop. If you cancel and leave then someone else will just come along to pickup the order minus the long wait. Some restaurants even try to make you feel bad for not wanting to wait 15 minutes for food to be prepped as if we get paid for that 15 minutes... I want Justeat ☹ by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 2:48pm)
  • "Hired". More onboarded as a freelancer. If the apps don't like my freelance performance they're free to remove me. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 2:45pm)
  • You just string them by their neck. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 4:43pm)
  • Proper pay = proper job. I'll let my DPD courier know next time they hand me a parcel that they should be peeking inside to make sure everything's in order before picking it up. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 4:42pm)
  • .... well this is awkward. I'm away to bash my skull in till I forget fat prick's address. by CompleteAd498 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 4:41pm)
  • I don't have an employer. The app companies aren't employers to couriers. I chose to do this job a year before the pandemic because the pay was actually really good. I was consistently earning £10 p/h on my shitty road bike any day of the week. Then the pandemic happened and the pay is majorly decreased due to an increase in couriers. Now I'm in a more expensive but faster vehicle constantly earning £5-£7 p/h even at weekends. I'm actually not annoyed at the restaurant. The people in there are always nice. The customer was a prick over something resolvable because he's the type to toss the dummy out the pram over first world problems like having to chase a refund and order his food again.
