  • I’ve still not found anything worth a mention. All tex mex pish. You’re better off finding a good recipe and picking up some ingredients from lupe pintos or ordering some stuff online. Starting to think i could make myself some good monies by cooking up some decent Mexican food for delivery. by Glorioustattie (Mon 17th Aug 2020 12:29pm)
  • Write to your councillors, mp and msp. by Glorioustattie (Mon 17th Aug 2020 1:06pm)
  • Thank you. Geezo seems like I am going to be waiting a long time :,( by Glorioustattie (Fri 12th Mar 2021 12:07pm)
  • Aye. I was considering this despite not really having the money for it. Also a bit para cause it’s MS type symptoms. But I’m starting to struggle with it so perhaps worth the gamble. Hope you’re doing much better now pal! Thanks for the info! by Glorioustattie (Sat 13th Mar 2021 10:54pm)
  • Jeezo! Quite the wait! I had some stomach issues a while back that landed me in hospital - no idea what it was. They needed to make a referral to another dept and finally got offered an appointment 1 1/2 years later by which time I was completely fine! Granted I was living at the end of the earth at that point in Caithness πŸ˜‚ by Glorioustattie (Sat 13th Mar 2021 11:04pm)
  • Yeh, thinking they’ve probably held off with a lot of the appointments just like the surgeries etc, so suspect there’s a mad backlog of folk that’ll come before me!! by Glorioustattie (Sat 13th Mar 2021 11:02pm)
  • Thanks for this detailed info! Really appreciate it. I considered calling the secretary but don’t really want to hassle them when they’re really overloaded. I’m sure there are people much worse off than me, so don’t really want to be a pest. Was just a bit irritated cause my GP was trying to put my symptoms down to anxiety despite them not being correlated in any way to how I am feeling emotionally. So I’m assuming they have said I am pretty low prio and I’ll be waiting a while. Mostly just concerned about not being able to work rather than the symptoms right now! Again, super appreciated! by Glorioustattie (Sat 13th Mar 2021 11:01pm)
  • Thats not too bad compared to some here. Sounds a bit of a lottery. Hope it all goes well pal! ❀️ by Glorioustattie (Sat 13th Mar 2021 11:05pm)
  • Aye! Get the taxes hiked imo. I lived in The Netherlands for a number of years where you get seen pretty quickly but have to pay health insurance and then additional costs as well. Fine if you’re right on the bottom end of the scale where you get some financial assistance, or further up the pay scale where you’re rolling in dosh. I just ended up super poor πŸ˜‚ by Glorioustattie (Sat 13th Mar 2021 11:10pm)
  • Haha just bought myself a grabber today with the same intention for the holmlea Park area. Can perhaps join forces! by Glorioustattie (Mon 22nd Mar 2021 11:50pm)
  • It's more to do with the admin only wanting to give me appointments with this one... They haven't been v helpful :c by Glorioustattie (Wed 24th Mar 2021 3:09pm)
  • Yeh. I just don't feel like I can emotionally deal with the drama that comes with it. It's been a weird few months. Maybe I should be more persistent... Just exhausted from things not being quite so straightforward as I'd hoped! She keeps implying I am a hypochondriac. I mentioned another new symptom yesterday and she replied with "well maybe you're just noticing it because you're hyperaware" then proceeded to ask me to increase my dosage of anxiety medication as if this is why I'm complaining about physical symptoms. Ragin doesn't even cover it 🀣 Sorry for the rant- just been a saga which doesn't look like it's going to end soon. But you're right... Maybe I should be more persistent - though I feel that this might be seen as me overreacting as well.... by Glorioustattie (Thu 25th Mar 2021 9:41am)
  • That was like my last job. Thought I was going to be doing analytics for content - turned out it was 95% writing content and 5% using insanely basic analytics. Plus the boss man was a sex pest, but I can understand them not advertising that bit. Left a good job to take that one as well. Still ragin. by Glorioustattie (Thu 25th Mar 2021 10:40am)
  • Happy new year to you too! Maybe we should change it back for the craic. by Glorioustattie (Thu 25th Mar 2021 10:49am)
  • I haven't heard a single bad word about the organisation of the vaccines, particularly the Luisa Jordan facility. Totally buzzin to get mine. by Glorioustattie (Thu 25th Mar 2021 10:47am)
  • I moved back to Scotland in Oct 2019, working remotely for a German company. I started my new job in March 2020. Had 2 weeks in the office before I was back to working from home. So... I've not had any kind of routine or normalcy since pre Oct 2019. This needs to end soon or I'll have a nervous breakdown and be running through the streets in the nuddie. by Glorioustattie (Thu 25th Mar 2021 10:45am)
  • Contacting the Scottish Child Law Centre might be a good first step. Unfortunately it sounds like nothing but an independent third party is going to help this situation. https://sclc.org.uk/ Quite a few good orgs listed here too as well as this charity itself http://www.fnfscotland.org.uk/links/ Really sorry you're going through this. You're probably at its messiest stage now, so just try to remember that it will likely get better, especially if you seek professional advice. Sending strength πŸ’ͺ by Glorioustattie (Tue 30th Mar 2021 12:14pm)
  • Always worth checking in with Citizens Advice as well. Sometimes they can refer to another organisation on your behalf who may be able to assist. [This ](https://www.mygov.scot/legal-advice/) may also be helpful by Glorioustattie (Tue 30th Mar 2021 12:19pm)
  • Is the individual in a private or council apartment? And am I right in understanding that you are living in a council property? In first instance you could speak to citizens advice who will be able to provide advice and support. If you get nowhere with housing association or the police you could try contacting the council if either of you are in a council property. If it is a private landlord you could approach their landlord. Citizens advice may be willing to do this on your behalf. They also have some helpful information [here](https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/scotland/housing/problems-where-you-live-s/neighbour-disputes/neighbour-disputes/how-to-resolve-a-neighbour-dispute/) and [here](https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/scotland/housing/problems-where-you-live-s/neighbour-disputes/neighbour-disputes/noise-abusive-behaviour/) Unfortunately it's usually a case of repeatedly calling 101 to see any action on something like this, but I know this can be tricky sometimes with the threatening or abusive behaviour. It is worth mentioning to the police when you call that this is the case. Keep a record of everything, record audio/video if possible provided you won't be put at risk for doing so. It is always best to have as much evidence as possible. Feel free to DM me about any details you are unsure about and I can maybe explain myself better by Glorioustattie (Wed 7th Apr 2021 8:42am)
  • Just tried their seitan buns last week for the first time. Super tasty and definitely recommend πŸ‘Œ more something for now as well though! I have been boredom eating and drinking my way through lockdown. by Glorioustattie (Sat 10th Apr 2021 9:07am)
  • I went through Happy Lets who were super shit. Thankfully my landlady deals with me directly and the agent was only there to hoof someone into the hoose. Maybe you could look for that kind of set up. But then again not all landladies/landlord will be as decent as mine. by Glorioustattie (Thu 15th Apr 2021 11:00am)
  • I'd definitely recommend the South Side rather than the west end. My sister is in the west end and I live on the southside. Honestly don't know why anyone would choose to live in the west end anymore cause its sooooo busy and full of fannies. I'm in Cathcart which isn't fancy or anything by any means - but I've got a nice flat in a quiet side street with good neighbours and definitely prefer this than the chaos of the west end. by Glorioustattie (Tue 20th Apr 2021 10:06am)
  • Dammit. This is not far from where i stay. Was hoping for a nice decent cafe. But nooooo had to be run by a lunatic. by Glorioustattie (Tue 20th Apr 2021 1:24pm)

  • Yip. Totally agree. Best one I've tried in Glasgow yet. by Glorioustattie (Sun 25th Apr 2021 4:24pm)
  • Just in case you are interested - the book is about John Adam (or the Malbuie Murderer) who was the last man in Scotland to be hung in public. Tbf he was a wee bit of a scoundrel. Heard about him from the Unspeakable Scotland podcast which is worth listen if you're looking for some gloomy content. by Glorioustattie (Mon 26th Apr 2021 9:51am)
  • Morning! ❀️ by Glorioustattie (Mon 26th Apr 2021 10:04am)
  • I don’t ever read anything on there- just use the job search function and ignore said wankers 🀘🏻 by Glorioustattie (Tue 25th May 2021 11:11pm)
  • You could sign up for the Red Cross. They need folks from time to time to do deliveries and other stuff related to the COVID response. I am signed up and they were helping distribute COVID tests on the southside. You could also check if social bite need any help- they help homeless folk get back into work and run nice wee cafes. Really great charity. I second refweegee. You could also check volunteerglasgow.org to see if there is anything that takes your fancy. It really depends what kind of cause you’d like to contribute toward cause there are loads of small amazing charities around Glasgow! by Glorioustattie (Tue 1st Jun 2021 10:51am)

  • I’ve been totally floored with it this week. I can’t stop coughing, especially at night. To the point I’m throwing up sometimes cause I’m coughing that hard. The tickling in my throat is driving me insane. My glands feel like golf balls. Been a full week now and it isn’t easing. Help meeeeeee 🀣 by Glorioustattie (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 7:16pm)

  • Oh … maybe I’m just a political nerd then. I knew very well who he was from Twitter…. Probs should delete my account for my own mental health. but aye average person will have the bliss of not knowing who this cuntwagon is. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 11:01am)
  • I do. That’s the weird thing. It’s a whole saga. But bloods tested for CO, alarms are definitely working, had a guy in to check CO levels and not a fucking clue how it is happening. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 11:49am)
  • Yeh, figured as much that there’s a lot of these typical parish towns around. Was hoping someone would draw my attention to a nice compromise πŸ˜‚ If it’s around the 30ish mark for driving it’d be fine, perhaps a little more for the right spot. Had looked at lochwinnoch cause it has the station and isn’t too bad distance wise, but I’m completely clueless how any of these places are! I have been looking in Eaglesham, but nothing suitable has come up yet. Will just keep an eye on it. Might take a wee visit out to the other two- thanks! πŸ™ƒ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 11:55am)
  • Thanks! I’ll add it to the tour πŸ™ƒ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 1:39pm)
  • I feel I should test this out. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 1:38pm)
  • That’s maybe actually a shout. Hadn’t even considered it. Plus my cats are natives πŸ˜† got them from the sspca there by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:42pm)
  • It was on my radar- but wasn’t sure how it was in terms of the folks there etc! Will make a few trips as well I think 😁 thanks! by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:41pm)
  • Hahaha nice small town that πŸ˜‚ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:40pm)
  • It’s probably for the best- it’s a very negative online space, especially for UK/Scottish politics. Had so many friends quit for the sake of their own sanity. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:47pm)
  • I’m fairly open- doesn’t need to be absolutely perfect in every way- just don’t want to be a complete wild card amongst the locals 🀣 I’ll maybe just check them out anyways! Thanks πŸ™‚ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:45pm)
  • I do! Thanks for that! Hoping they will let me work from home/ hybrid working, but just thinking not too far jic that doesn’t work out like I want it too πŸ€“ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:52pm)
  • Aye, doesn’t need to be mad parties like. Tbh, this is going to come off kinda sad, but one of the main reasons is for my cats, as finding a place in Glasgow that is ground floor and not too busy traffic wise in the surrounding area is pretty tough, especially atm. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:50pm)
  • Gas top stove, but the engineer also checked that with the burners blaring! It’s truly a mystery by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 5:23pm)
  • Nope! Also asked the dr about other causes but can’t figure it out. Also taken my alarm in my car to make sure nothing has been missed, but also nothing! by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 5:23pm)
  • I heard that aye. Especially the rent costs 🀣 by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:49pm)
  • Thanks! I’ll add them to the list! πŸ™ƒ is it lame the cats are one of my main concerns 🀣 by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:48pm)
  • Thanks for this. That’s very helpful ☺️ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:47pm)
  • Glad you’ve settled nicely! I’m a bit apprehensive purely because I know fuck all about the surrounding areas. But who knows - maybe we will be neighbours one day πŸ˜„ by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:54pm)
  • Added to the list! πŸ™‚ thanks!!! by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:50pm)
  • Thanks for all of these. Don’t worry - not expecting perfection (not within my budget 🀣). Not like Glasgow doesn’t have rough bits πŸ€“ Really appreciate it folks. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:59pm)
  • Sounds pretty great. Pub is definitely a massive plus point 🀣 adding to the tour 😎 see you in the pub. by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 7:57pm)
  • Thanks pal! On the tour now as well. This is gonna be the weirdest tour anyone has ever done 🀣 by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 8:01pm)
  • My uncle actually used to live in Lenzie but I’ve not been out in a long time. Definitely time to take a look! by Glorioustattie (Tue 9th Nov 2021 8:00pm)
  • Want to wish you a fun time! All the good places have already been suggested (my personal faves are stravaigin and Ben Nevis) - but would just like to say Fàilte! by Glorioustattie (Fri 26th Nov 2021 4:17pm)
  • Same! Either the Bothy or stravaigin for food for sure! by Glorioustattie (Fri 26th Nov 2021 4:15pm)
  • This sounds like a new Still Game character πŸ˜‚ by Glorioustattie (Fri 26th Nov 2021 7:43pm)
  • Report him to the council. He will soon find out he doesn’t have their permission πŸ˜‚ by Glorioustattie (Fri 26th Nov 2021 7:42pm)
  • Defo do! And staff have always been brilliant when I’ve been there - plus doggo friendly when it’s not mad busy ☺️ by Glorioustattie (Sat 27th Nov 2021 9:44am)
  • Someone talented please write the screenplay for this πŸ‘ŒπŸ» by Glorioustattie (Sat 27th Nov 2021 9:47am)
  • If the couple are concerned - definitely encourage them to report to the police. Better to have it on record for when anything more mad happens. by Glorioustattie (Sat 27th Nov 2021 9:46am)
  • Put them in a Tupperware to ensure they remain intact!! But I do believe they are ok to take. by Glorioustattie (Tue 30th Nov 2021 11:58am)
  • Yeh but either way the coonsil should’ve been smart enough to know that going through with it would create a media shit storm. So so dumb. by Glorioustattie (Tue 30th Nov 2021 7:20pm)
  • I’d encourage you and everyone else to write to your MP/MSP who can write to First on you behalf. The more pressure that comes from the various representative offices on the First ceo, the better. Give the specific details of the day/line/time waited etc. Honestly one of the shittiest companies that has ever existed 😀 by Glorioustattie (Mon 6th Dec 2021 7:47am)
  • Maybe start a petition and campaign πŸ˜‚ I bet nearly everyone in Glasgow would sign it by Glorioustattie (Mon 6th Dec 2021 4:25pm)
  • Not sure a day would be enough to overhaul public transport, build hunners of new GOOD non ugly council housing, sort the bins and recycling. But those are the things that’d be top priority. Id want to install these [magnificent bins](https://youtu.be/W3UZ74ZpZ2c). Proper cycle paths would come after the decent public transport was in place to allow time for folk to decide its better to use public transport than cars. by Glorioustattie (Mon 6th Dec 2021 5:10pm)
  • Thanks! I may get involved if I have time cause it’s something that really really needs to happen! by Glorioustattie (Mon 6th Dec 2021 8:28pm)
  • It’s quite lame how much I miss Dutch bins and their cleansing dept. But they were great. Only issue is the tax is ALOT higher, even on the lower end of the scale, both nationally and locally. I’m sure there is a compromise to be had to ensure everyone can still eat but we can also have nice shiny bins. by Glorioustattie (Tue 7th Dec 2021 5:36pm)
  • I think everyone is trying to book at the same time so it’s causing a bunch of problems. Ended up booking mine for early January. I think they also add appointments as they go, say if there have been cancellations etc. by Glorioustattie (Mon 13th Dec 2021 2:55pm)
  • Start piling on the pressure on councillors, msps and mps. Get multiple people from your close/street to email. The council will have to pull their finger out eventually. by Glorioustattie (Thu 16th Dec 2021 10:02pm)
  • They will usually do this unless you really insist. Lay it on thick and ask to be referred for CBT. I have found you have to ask them very directly about these kinds of things otherwise they’ll dismiss it. by Glorioustattie (Thu 23rd Dec 2021 8:38am)
  • I’m not too far so will keep an eye out - hope he makes it back soon. They usually just like to make us worry for a bit make sure we miss them. Also - I was told putting their cat litter tray outside can help them find their way back. Seeing it’s pissing rain, I guess that’ll depend if you’ve got a spot to put the tray / if it’s lidded. by Glorioustattie (Wed 29th Dec 2021 10:52am)
  • Housing Options Scotland might also be able to help considering your mental health issues and carer status. They provide a “housing broker” and then they can help you find a place and look at all the possibilities. This can be helpful where the council is moving slow. You can find their details [here](https://housingoptionsscotland.org.uk/) and apply by clicking the “get help” button. Everyone else seems to have the other bases covered! If you haven’t done so already I’d encourage you to speak with your GP about your mental health. Explain your situation and ask about getting on the waiting list for psychology/cbt - they are overwhelmed rn, but you want to be on that list asap. Just make sure to register with a new gp when you move so that any letters come to your new place. In the meantime- might be helpful to know Breathing Space provides a free and confidential service by phone and web chat. You can find the deets [here](https://breathingspace.scot/) by Glorioustattie (Thu 30th Dec 2021 7:23am)
  • That’s good you’ve at least got the ball rolling on that! I’d highly recommend Breathing Space then as a sort of stop gap until you get the nhs stuff in place! There are also more, but I know these guys are pretty good. And the guys at Housing Options that I’ve spoken to have been absolutely lovely- including the ceo ^^ I hope you get it sorted out soon - sorry you’re having to go through such a difficult time :c just know there are people out there to help even if it doesn’t always seem obvious. Sending love hugs and best wishes for the 2022 by Glorioustattie (Thu 30th Dec 2021 3:55pm)
  • Take her to a wee traditional music night. Ben Nevis and stravaigin do nice ones and also do decent food and an excellent drinks selection ^^ by Glorioustattie (Thu 30th Dec 2021 11:58pm)
  • As someone new to the city (in that I’ve been stuck inside since I moved here) - this looks great! Adding this to my list of outings! by Glorioustattie (Thu 30th Dec 2021 11:55pm)
  • This sounds like a complete shitshow. Classic DWP. Maybe contact your MP (im assuming they aren’t a Tory) as well as citizens advice. If this is happening more across the board they should be pulled up on it. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this :c by Glorioustattie (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 8:18am)
