  • I'm in the V between maryhill road and GRW and its incredibly lovely but still affordable enough by Inglourious_Bitch (Sat 21st Nov 2020 9:37pm)
  • Lmao dont worry it absolutely isn't. I just moved here a couple months ago myself, Glasgow is the biggest city I've lived in so far and I've had no problems at all so far, on the contrary. I love my area and been safe even walking home in the middle of the night by Inglourious_Bitch (Sun 22nd Nov 2020 7:58pm)
  • Personally I'm a fan of J. J. Mellis cheesemonger on GRW, gotta admit I havent looked out for that specific one but they have a great assortment and I'm sure would take requests! by Inglourious_Bitch (Sun 22nd Nov 2020 11:26pm)
  • Thank you! How do you find its connected? I dont have a car of my own but I would like to be able to get into the city somewhat easily by Inglourious_Bitch (Mon 22nd Mar 2021 1:30pm)
  • Thank you thats really informative! Yeah as i dont have a car I'd like somewhere not completely in the arse end of nowhere, like having coffee shop supermarkets etc within walking distance. Def gonna give cathcart a closer look by Inglourious_Bitch (Mon 22nd Mar 2021 3:44pm)
  • Haha dont worry! I only included that for reference bc I lived in inverness before and let's say that was different by Inglourious_Bitch (Mon 22nd Mar 2021 3:40pm)
  • Haha well thanks for the info! Would actually only be annoyed by prostitutes around if the walls are very thin by Inglourious_Bitch (Mon 22nd Mar 2021 3:45pm)
  • People have listed some great resources already, as someone who's been through the process though i wanna be honest. There are amazing charities and free services out there that offer support and can teach you incredibly helpful coping mechanisms that make it easier to get through day-to-day life. If you want some real in depth therapy though to sort your issues out and really understand and improve your mental health long term, you'll probably have to go private. That is expensive yes, obviously I dont know what your situation is so I don't want to make any assumptions, but if you have family that might be able to help you out, dont hesitate to take whatever you can get and don't be too proud to accept help. I can safely say my year of therapy was the best thing I've ever spent money on, even if it ate up almost all of my disposable income, I'm so incredibly grateful that I was able to do it by Inglourious_Bitch (Mon 30th Aug 2021 1:05am)
  • Seconded, love my piece from her and planning to go back for more by Inglourious_Bitch (Wed 1st Sep 2021 8:48pm)
  • Hey dude i came back to this post through the search function, I'm looking for a couple refresher lessons kinda short notice is your brother still needing clients? by Inglourious_Bitch (Mon 20th Sep 2021 1:59pm)
  • I go to Central Strength right by the station and really like it. It's a small independent gym so it's never too overrun, lots of great equipment and a really chill vibe. 25 a month, they do classes but I'm afraid i cant comment on those first hand by Inglourious_Bitch (Sat 9th Oct 2021 7:57pm)
  • I pay very slightly less but, yeah. It's their undivided attention, expertise and experience for a full hour and usually they also have to pay the gyms a fee to be able to run their business from their facilities. Add in the other freelancing costs like preparing session plans, possibly buying equipment, bunch of taxes/pension shit, and you're easily on £40 quid per hour. I understand though that's a good chunk of money so I personally only have 1 session with my PT per week and then go by myself another time or two (she's sweet enough to send me training plans for my solo sessions for free). Many PTs also offer partner sessions! So might be worth checking if a pal fancies splitting the cost. Even cheaper (usually included in your membership) would be to check out what classes your gym offers, they're run by the PTs but obvs you dont get that 1 on 1 attention, can still be worth it to figure out what area you want to focus on! by Inglourious_Bitch (Thu 9th Dec 2021 1:40am)
  • Why are you getting downvoted? Thundercat hotdogs slap by Inglourious_Bitch (Sun 26th Jun 2022 9:07pm)
  • Of course that is just anecdotal evidence but I work in that sector and the amount of local people I know who worked on that is crazy (myself included) Even more, while a lot of the very specialised crew came in from elsewhere, the production had bucket loads of entry or low level jobs available and provided big budget feature film experience to local talent who otherwise wouldn't have gotten that opportunity. Having experienced local crew available is a huge incentive for other productions to shoot here which in turn keeps those people from moving to London where all the big studios are and can hopefully build a thriving Scottish film industry Edit: re public hands, all that money they spent here got taxed by Inglourious_Bitch (Wed 3rd Aug 2022 12:01pm)
  • Been furnishing my own flat and went on the obligatory IKEA trip but realised that the quality/price ratio has become shocking. Charity shops it is and I got a few decent bits from Wayfair! by Inglourious_Bitch (Sun 25th Jun 2023 12:34pm)
  • For sure! Argos is great and if you want some more options for furniture to be delivered, wayfair has honestly been good for me. They sell loads of different brands so it might depend but everything I got from them so far was decent quality for the price and delivery was cheap (IKEA charge £40 ffs) by Inglourious_Bitch (Sun 25th Jun 2023 12:53pm)
