  • That's how flat earth started. And now you have idiots killing themselves to launch home made rockets. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Wed 8th Apr 2020 5:31pm)
  • What? You don't like unreadable "stylized" letters that are nothing more than some wanker's XBox Live username? by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Mon 13th Apr 2020 6:33pm)
  • I just moved here in December, and its killing my my bikes are still on a container ship from the US right now. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 2nd May 2020 5:32pm)

  • I've only been here since December, so most of it has been in lockdown, but i've been walking the area everyday that I can. Fly tipping seems to be a competitive sport around here. Is it just this bad because the regular facilities are closed? It's not just bulky stuff like construction debris or old tires, but bags full of household trash too, are there places that don't have normal pickup? I was even in seven lochs park and there was some fresh stuff dumped that had several amazon boxes with the guy's address still on them. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Wed 27th May 2020 9:59pm)
  • I just moved here and I can tell you that's a problem, EVERYWHERE. I once had a woman leap in horror into a water filled gully as I gave here a sing-songy "coming up on your left" from behind, with a good 100ft of space. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 30th May 2020 1:45pm)
  • Someone tagged up the mobile towers and equipment boxes with all kinds of Anti-5G stuff near Shettleston too. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 11th Jul 2020 6:17pm)

  • Or the David Livingstone bridge up the river a bit in Blantyre. Its part of the RT 74 cycleway and fucking terrifying if you are afraid of heights. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Wed 19th Aug 2020 1:23pm)
  • Easterhouse is now like 80% empty lots where the slums *used* to be. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Fri 21st Aug 2020 11:55pm)
  • I'm over in Balanark with but with a high gain rooftop aerial and I get bleed over from capital all the way to 106.5. So its gotta be pretty low power. Just someone with a PC on shuffle and a project FM transmitter I guess. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 12th Sep 2020 12:29am)
  • I came from a city (Hartford, CT) where they literally buried one river and built the motorways directly on the banks of another closing it off from nearly everything, so this is a major improvement. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Thu 17th Sep 2020 11:17pm)
  • I was cycling by the other day and he was out there updating it. Someone needs to teach him how to edit. There are like 10 different things going on at once and I have no idea if he is pro/anti any of it. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Fri 25th Sep 2020 2:00pm)
  • make sure to change the "base profile" to cycling, otherwise the cycle routes tend to get lost where they are next to major roads. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Tue 29th Sep 2020 3:37pm)
  • Cycle Route 75 runs along the river and east for quite a ways, and mostly off road, nice ride along the old Monkland Canal for a part of it. It connects to the 7 at the squinty bridge which Will take you to Clydebank and eventually Loch Lomond. There is a nice challenging loop you can run if you follow the 75 out to Uddingston, switch to the 74 when it meets, cross the most terrifying bridge ever in Blantyre, follow the (74) and hook back into the 756 back to the city. Its a good 2-3 hour ride, lots of climbs though but some great views. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Tue 29th Sep 2020 3:55pm)
  • Everlast has a sauna when its allowed to re-open and its only 10 a month. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Thu 15th Oct 2020 9:10pm)

  • Except the ones that are for Bikes AND Pedestrians. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sun 29th Nov 2020 9:28pm)
  • I've been yelled at for riding on both multi-use paths AND on the road where I am allowed to go. You're riding with a kid, so I doubt you will be a lycra-clad strava jockey cutting around people with inches to spare, you should be ok. But you are close to the Clyde walkway, so you can ride along the river and mostly off road without issues. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sun 29th Nov 2020 9:35pm)
  • Everything I've seen is him talking with no proof and showing footage of run down buildings cherry picked because they are run down and trashy. I can take footage of all the fly tipped piles of trash I find while cycling in the countryside too, but it doesn't prove the sheep are sex traffickers either. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Tue 15th Dec 2020 9:55pm)
  • So can we all riot in the square now and not have the cops bother us? by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Fri 19th Mar 2021 12:43am)
  • A can of expanding foam would work better anyways TO FILL CRACKS IN YOUR WINDOW FRAMES FOR ENERGY CONSERVATION. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Thu 15th Apr 2021 2:40pm)
  • Some of the lane markings are already worn off though. Took me a few times to realize what lane I should properly be in to come from the shopping area and go south on A77. I've just started avoiding it entirely and take the scenic route down A719. My opinion is if you have to put traffic lights in the middle of a roundabout, then it shouldn't be a roundabout. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Thu 29th Apr 2021 11:04am)
  • https://www.sevenlochs.org/ On the east end, right near the Glasgow Fort retail park. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 3rd Jul 2021 5:40pm)
  • I've yet to find anywhere that gets buffalo wings right. The sauce is always, always wrong. Buffalo is not bbq, or simply "hot". The sell goddamn frank's hot sauce at tessco, just add butter...yeesh. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Mon 2nd Aug 2021 1:14am)
  • Not mad brah, you do you. I actually like all kinds of different flavours of wings, for how shitty everything there else is, Buffalo Wild Wing's Parm garlic sauce is the tits. But its just when you sell "buffalo" wings, they are a specific taste. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Wed 4th Aug 2021 11:30am)
  • There are a few huge apple trees near the roundabout in Cambuslang near the golf course right off the cycle route. They usually just fall on the ground and rot there. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Wed 29th Sep 2021 8:38pm)
  • As a yank who lives here now, the Flamin' hot Cheetos here are absolute shit compared to these....but there is no way in hell they are worth that much. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 16th Oct 2021 10:23pm)
  • He would just find a pile of empty cheetos bags in an alley and that would be his "proof" by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 16th Oct 2021 10:24pm)
  • > Here, you can't even defend yourself with a bat if a burglar breaks in, or else you, yourself, will be charged with assault and attempted murder. Doesn't matter if its self defence. [That isn't even true.] (http://salvas.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Self-Defence-Memov1_1.pdf) I see this perpetrated in arguments on both sides of the atlantic. From "its not legal to defend yourself" to "if a burglar hurts themselves robbing your house they can sue you" Its all 100% made up urban legend bullshit that doesn't happen, akin to the razor blade in Halloween candy story. What you *can't* do is simply bludgeon someone to death because they are inside your house. So in other words you can't live out your Death Wish style revenge fetish if someone climbs in through an open window. Additional, even in gun lovin' america, you can't randomly open fire on people who are running away after you find them inside your house. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sun 7th Nov 2021 12:20pm)
  • I've got an old destination blind from one I won on ebay for my tram obsessed husband. :) Need to have a case made for it eventually. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Tue 11th Jan 2022 11:30pm)

  • also not Korean but a big fan of the food and Silla is pretty good. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 11th Jun 2022 9:32pm)
  • BBQ has some very distinct differences depending on where you are. I'd call Denniston more a Kansas City style than a texas style. Its not bad, but not great. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 11th Jun 2022 9:31pm)
  • Dallas Fort Worth would love a chat with you. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Thu 16th Jun 2022 4:38pm)
  • I moved to South Ayrshire and it's just as bad, it's not just a Glasgow thing. What drives me up fucking wall is the shit I see dumped alongside of the country rounds I cycle around, I mean they obviously had a way to transport the shit, and like random stuff like household appliances and kid's toys and shit, so it's not likely a "dodgy man in a van" types of dumps with construction debris... The recycling centers here are generally free for like 99% of this stuff, all over the place and they are even open on the goddamn weekends, so they made a conscious effort to be a piece of shit and drive further out into the country than they would if they just went to the tip. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Thu 13th Apr 2023 1:24pm)
  • It's a blast to cycle down too...feels like you're about to blow up the death star. Uphill....less fun. by PrpleMnkyDshwsher (Sat 15th Jul 2023 1:20am)
