  • I didnt get the impression they were assuming you didn't believe in sex trafficking in Scotland, but rather they wanted to be a little more informative for anyone whose opinion may have been skewed by that ranting madman on Facebook (not saying that's you btw). The thing with a lot of conspiracy theories/theorists is that their basic idea *usually* has some grounds in reality but they've added fabrication after fabrication. Unfortunately that means when one thing from their conspiracy *does* come true I.e. foreign individuals being arrested for Sec Trafficking in the Southside, then their confirmation bias comes in to play and suddenly all the people who where just on the fringe of believing the conspiracy are now fully hooked on it because one part turned out to be true. Again, I don't want that to come across as though you don't already know that or to be condescending! I'm just really typing my thoughts out as I read the other comment haha by SolisAeterni (Fri 13th May 2022 10:39am)
  • Mine is Halloween when paranormal activity 2 came out. It was maybe about 4am? Guys dressed as ghostbusters, kitted out their car to look like the ghostbusters car, screeched to a halt on St. Vincent Street where a guy dressed as batman is smoking a fag at the traffic lights, pull him in to the car and just aa they do that a guy runs round the corner dressed as Freddy Kruger screaming with a fake plastic Halloween knife. I know it was Halloween so it wasn't THAT out of place but it was also Halloween and not *that* out place by SolisAeterni (Thu 25th Aug 2022 11:30pm)
  • He was probably just a normal suit wearing guy on a night out taking the piss haha by SolisAeterni (Fri 26th Aug 2022 6:42pm)

  • Genuinely couldn't believe no one had mentioned it already! I'm Veggie but my husband isn't and even he picks the veggie/vegan options over meat pretty often when we go. Also just great for being in a mixed group of meat eaters and vegetarians - something for everyone! by SolisAeterni (Thu 20th Oct 2022 12:42am)
  • Other people on here are shite. This is useful information, especially as more people will be on the roads today than there have been the last few days. Not to mention people heading to the airport that would likely use the one way system. Make sure to share to r/Paisley too if you haven't already; it's not quite as active as this Sub though. by SolisAeterni (Wed 28th Dec 2022 11:01am)
  • I'm from and live in Paisley and I hate this reputation overhang that it's had since the 70s. Really, it's not what it used to be and yeah, the high Street is dead (where isn't these days) but the community is flourishing, there are so many local businesses these days and honestly? Even the worst parts of Paisley aren't as bad as places like Renfrew. by SolisAeterni (Wed 28th Dec 2022 5:56pm)
  • I recommend you got to Rufus too! Solid is good but it's pretty small upstairs and can get cramped pretty quickly, which isn't always ideal if you're trying to get to know people. Rufus is much bigger and if you stand at the bar drinking you'll talk to other folk who are there alone too! Bar staff are also great, my mate Ben works behind the bar and he'd absolutely take care of you with any drink requests haha by SolisAeterni (Sun 22nd Jan 2023 6:15pm)
  • I posted this reply to another comment; > The UK has had a population of parakeets since the 1980s and are now considered to be a population of wild birds, not feral birds, and there is no need for them to be rescued. There are around 8,600 pairs in the UK overall which are believed to be the result of a storm in 1987 causing them to be released from aviaries. As long as they have a good food supply (as they find in large parks and gardens) then they're able to withstand the harsh climate of the UK during the winter months. • Not surprised at this, the guy that owns the venue can barely put a cohesive Facebook post together and all in all doesn't seem fit for the job of running the place. Hope you manage to get this sorted through threat of legal action as others have said! by SolisAeterni (Thu 6th Apr 2023 9:59pm)

  • DELETED It's a real shame that so many people don't understand the horrors Israel have inflicted on Palestinians over so many decades. Hamas don't represent Palestinians; Palestinians are victims of an apartheid state and literally imprisoned by Israel. • *do not take that job* I worked there for 5 years. They lead with a false sense of security and community, but will push your to the limit of your mental wellbeing all while promoting "mindfulness". The targets are unachievable, the management are ruthless. They've had multiple staff walkouts in the past year and senior management has almost as high a turnover rate as the staff. A job there will ruin your life. Do not take it. by SolisAeterni (Tue 21st Nov 2023 10:44am)
