  • My son goes to Victoria park kindergarten in Whiteinch. We pay £900 per month which is full time hours, but we get the tax free childcare. We have a separate account set up with his nursery fees and the 20% is taken off every 3 months I am sure (my wife knows all the details) I just pay my half lol. by Tamc22 (Fri 29th Apr 2022 5:25pm)
  • Thanks man, yeah doesn't seem far at all. by Tamc22 (Fri 24th Jun 2022 9:17pm)
  • Will be heading back to Whiteinch so would head towards govan to get to the clyde tunnel. Not familiar with areas around Hampden but will check around battlefield. As I said don't mind the 30 min walk, as long as I can get home quicker than public transport. No doubt I would have have to get a bus into town then a another bus back to Whiteinch. Thanks! by Tamc22 (Fri 24th Jun 2022 9:45pm)
  • Was at the bandstand on Tuesday night. Main act came out just after 9 and finished at 10.30. by Tamc22 (Thu 11th Aug 2022 3:30pm)
  • Parking at ibrox is free, but I drive past there all the time and you will struggle to get a space If you arent there early doors. by Tamc22 (Sun 4th Sep 2022 12:52pm)
  • We used the The Reel Stramash for our wedding 4 years ago. Started off with a celidh followed by a disco later on the evening. Highly recommended, everyone loved it. by Tamc22 (Wed 21st Sep 2022 9:33pm)
  • For zoncard, I think you would have to get it through SPT opposed to scotrail. When I used to use the train and subway, always got mine at partick station. Always fully staffed at the ticket office. by Tamc22 (Fri 23rd Sep 2022 4:53pm)
  • I trained in extreme gym 2 when if first opened. Was really quiet tbh and loads of great equipment. Attracts those that are into bodybuilding, and if you don't mind people posing etc then it's a great gym to train in. Think they do day passes, well they did when I first trained there, so could always try it out? There's always scotstoun if you are close by, but can get very busy. by Tamc22 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 1:23pm)
  • Scotstoun stadium. Although would check when the warriors are playing at home. I made that mistake and paid and could only use half the track as they were setting up seating for the weekend. by Tamc22 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 10:59am)
  • £3.50 I paid the last time, but that was last year sometime. I just showed up and didn't book the few times I went and was fine. Saying that, that was mid week during the day and was dead. Imagine weekend would be busier by Tamc22 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 3:49pm)
  • Their salt and chili box is unreal! Massive too! by Tamc22 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 8:59pm)

  • Salt and chili on Dumbarton Rd Is good too. Owned by chef Jimmy Lee that also has lychee. by Tamc22 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 9:52pm)
  • No sure man. Diamond Inn used to be Chinese fortune, which was class too, but changed over only a few years ago. by Tamc22 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 10:33pm)

  • My wife and I used the queen Elizabeth for the birth of our son, and will be again for our second. Midwifes were amazing and cant fault them for anything. They were very accommodating and even allowed me to stay after hours the following night. by Tamc22 (Tue 6th Dec 2022 8:55pm)
  • Yeah I think I had an hour with my son post birth. But the following night they allowed me to stay until 11pm (this was Jan 2020 so before covid). by Tamc22 (Wed 7th Dec 2022 11:01am)
  • Park at lidl as someone else mentioned. I have been about 3 times in the past couple of months and gotten a space at the car park across from the A and E at the back of the hospital, my go to car park every time I have been. by Tamc22 (Wed 7th Dec 2022 8:13pm)
  • Work in retail and unfortunately not just DPD thats been having issues as of late and its pretty much impossible for the customer to contact any couriers customer service. They simply won't deal with any customer issues directly and you will need to contact the vendor to contact the courier to resolve. In past experience dealing with DPD customer service, they are one of the best at resolving issues. But don't be surprised if it takes a couple of days for DPD to get back to the vendor. by Tamc22 (Mon 26th Dec 2022 8:49pm)
  • Can't recommend duncans driving school enough. Passed first time through him a few years ago. Lovely guy and very patient with myself. by Tamc22 (Tue 7th Feb 2023 10:02am)
  • Try Victoria park. One of my walking routes in the spring/summer and used to see people play everyday, especially during school holidays. by Tamc22 (Tue 7th Feb 2023 10:04am)
  • The amount of people I see that fly through the give way on the other side gives me the fear man. by Tamc22 (Wed 8th Feb 2023 2:04pm)
  • Thats cause some drivers are cunts (not faulty lights) and think that if there is no one behind them or far enough away from them they don't need to indicate. Indication just not for other cars but for pedestrians too. Plus, they should be giving way to pedestrians about to cross. by Tamc22 (Thu 9th Feb 2023 7:34pm)
  • I drive this route every day and It blows my mind that drivers don't understand that that they shouldn't proceed (even if the light is green) if it means they are blocking incoming traffic or blocking a pedistrian crossing. Dont know how many near misses I have seen up there. by Tamc22 (Thu 9th Feb 2023 7:58pm)
  • Passed 4 years ago and was taught to be a defensive driver and to assume the worst but didn't realise how bad it was going to be when I was learning. It's gotten worse the past couple of years though, see some dangerous driving every day now. Wrong, or no Indication on a roundabout is one of my pet peeves. The thornwoood roundabout is brutal at the moment, dont know how many times I have been waiting from Dumbarton Road exit to get to clyde tunnel for people to indacte left from South Street exit, miss an exit and continue on to clyde tunnel. And don't get me started on drivers thinking they can park anywhere as long as they have their hazards on. by Tamc22 (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:07am)
  • Partick is an absolute nightmare at the best of times but with the temp lights at the bottom of Byers Road it has gotten much worse the past few weeks. Doesn't help when the council decide to do more works further back at the crossroads bottom of crow raod retail park. Not that it's an excuse for bad drivers, but making a busy road even more congested. by Tamc22 (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:14am)
  • Beijing banquet hands down the best buffet I have been too. Better than marble imo. by Tamc22 (Sun 12th Feb 2023 9:18am)
  • Yeah saw someone do work on the van last week. Been walking past it almost every day for a couple of months now, sometimes it's open sometimes not but looks like they are redecorating. by Tamc22 (Wed 22nd Feb 2023 9:55am)
  • I am in the same situation. Had a few providers (currently virgin) and due to the thickness of the walls, the range is terrible. We did try a WiFi extender/booster with a slight improvement, but gotten used to having poor signal in our bedroom (including 4g). Need to have the router close to the sitting room to get a good signal to stream on our TV by Tamc22 (Thu 23rd Mar 2023 12:00pm)
  • I have private health care which I have used a few times the past couple of years. Always required a letter of referral from my registered GP when seeing a private doctor booked via my private health care provider. Not sure if this is standard practice, but my health care provider stated that the private doctor could refuse to see me and still charge me the consultation fee without a referral letter. by Tamc22 (Mon 5th Jun 2023 9:08pm)
  • Cashel coffee in woodlands, broken clock cafe, haylynn canteen whiteinch and space on Dumbarton rd are my go too's for coffee. All have great selection of cakes too! by Tamc22 (Sun 23rd Jul 2023 7:09pm)
  • Nosh in barrmill is good, bit of a drive but same type of place. Portions are huge too. Melton John's in govan is decent too. by Tamc22 (Tue 15th Aug 2023 5:05pm)
  • Aye nosh has a car park right next too it and can sit inside. Took my then 2 year old, around Halloween and the staff where great with him! You can park outside Melton John's, but getting a space can be tricky! by Tamc22 (Tue 15th Aug 2023 5:17pm)
  • Been in whiteinch for 5 years, while the wife has stayed there for 20. Good area tbh, I haven't had any hassle since being here neither has the wife. Victoria park on your door step, good transport links to the city centre too. Can be in the centre in about 10 mins via the expressway by bus or car and about 15 mins walk from Patrick with the station and subway. Some nice coffee shops/cafes have popped up the past few years too. by Tamc22 (Thu 7th Sep 2023 3:44pm)
  • Agreed every pizza I have had from there I had to use a fork as it always fell apart. Average at best! by Tamc22 (Thu 14th Sep 2023 10:01pm)
  • Ignore this, didn't read properly and missed the indoor part by Tamc22 (Tue 10th Oct 2023 8:04pm)
  • Scostoun stadium has a running track thats open to the public. Just need to check when the warriors are playing though, as some of the seating covers the track. by Tamc22 (Tue 10th Oct 2023 8:03pm)
  • Should say, it's to the left hand side if you are facing the childrens A and E itself, has its own building. by Tamc22 (Thu 12th Oct 2023 11:33am)
  • It's located next to the children's A and E. by Tamc22 (Thu 12th Oct 2023 11:29am)
  • Second this! Tried it a few weeks ago and the Detroit style was unreal. by Tamc22 (Sun 15th Oct 2023 6:13pm)
