  • A lot of people here are suspicious that you may have been involved in drugs, if your drug use is merely personal then you shouldnt be worried. Honestly its shameful that people are bringing it up and implying youre at fault here. Your well being has been threatened and youve already been assaulted. The police will absolutely want to help you and any honest information you can give them will be of great help. If your anxiety is stopping you from speaking to the police then id strongly suggest contacting a solicitor and asking for advice. Ive had a lot of trouble with the police in my life and i can tell you from my experience that the police wont care that youve taken a bit of speed in your life. Please contact the police and dont let your anxiety stop you from taking steps to protecting yourself. Take care. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Thu 8th Apr 2021 10:09pm)
  • Shaun Attwood is a fraud and a tasteless degenerate. Its unfortunate that many of his guests dont look into his background before dealing with him. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Mon 3rd May 2021 4:35pm)

  • The premier next to me has the same issue. Almost every single time I've gone there over the last year the staff haven't been wearing masks. I assumed that the boss was maybe against wearing masks or mocked them when they did, other than that one shop I've rarely seen anyone not wearing masks and that goes for customers and workers. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 28th May 2021 12:01pm)
  • If diving in the cold is as bad as people are suggesting then you could always head down to the south of England to try it out. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Mon 31st May 2021 11:37am)
  • I'm really glad to see so many people agreeing. I hope the world governments and WHO make this a priority. If anything covid has shown us that the elderly who die of flu every year aren't just inevitable numbers, they are very preventable. Flu can cause issues in pre natal children that can go unseen for large parts of their lives. We can also make this less common. A bit of sensible hygiene can diminish some of the suffering and early deaths we regularly see. There are also reports that some viruses may have died off or nearly died off due to our practices these last 18 months. I think this is huge. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:09pm)
  • Yeah, when I hear people complain about masks I just remember how 15 years ago i was seeing se Asians in Scotland wearing masks very regularly. It's not hard. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:14pm)
  • That's understandable. Im not suggesting that we completely sanitise childrens lives as im aware that probably comes with worse problems in the long run. I'm glad to see so many people being positive about these measures. Take care. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:13pm)
  • I am a chef by trade and I only took days off when I literally couldn't get out of bed. In 9 years I took off maybe 5 sick days. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:11pm)
  • Good to hear. Take care. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:19pm)
  • I agree. Great to hear from others! Take care. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:19pm)
  • Man up? I'd say taking responsibility for those around us who are more vulnerable is a far more "manly" thing to do. I never suggested everyone stay off work, you're clearly projecting your insecurities about it here. Also, thinking not wearing a mask makes you manly is the epitome of insecurity. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:17pm)
  • Gotta look swag during flu season, I hear you loud and clear! Thanks for the reply! by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:15pm)
  • I think we have a great opportunity here to create a shift that could last for generations, if not forever however it'll probably not happen which I think is a real shame. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:25pm)
  • That's fair and I fully agree that people need more allowance to be ill. I'm a chef and in 9 years I've probably taken off 5 days sick. One time I was so ill I was throwing up for a week and still working. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 12:22pm)
  • H&M allows people to use changing rooms so I assume others do too but I'm not sure. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 4:48pm)
  • That'd make sense, looks like it's been put out already as the smoke is all white now. Thanks. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Sat 10th Jul 2021 10:05pm)
  • Southgate decision on the penalties was atrocious, the post match interview should have asked "why did you choose a 19 year old who has never taken a penalty in his career to take the highest pressure and most important penalty in the last 60 years?" Sancho and rashford too, crazy decision imo. It wasn't fair on any of them. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:41pm)
  • Thanks, this is perfect. I can imagine that my gp will be frustrated, one reason they rejected me is because I don't display a history of unemployment or educational underachievement. I've been unemployed for 6 years! I dropped out of school, I went to college and became class president and was aceing all my classes and still dropped out! Their reasoning for rejection is laughable. I'll fill this in now. Can I ask, are you a doctor? Thanks again x by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 2:17pm)
  • I'm in cambuslang so I'm under Lanarkshire health board and they can't refer me to greater Glasgow health board so it limits my options I think. I've contacted my gp, they've told me to call back in a week... cool. I contacted eastvale about my rejection and they've asked me to send a letter outlining why i disagree with the rejection. Someone else gave me a link to an ADHD assessment tool which I will send to both my gp and eastvale. I've been researching adhd pretty intensely for the last couple months and I have taken pages of notes detailing why I think I have adhd, i honestly do not think I can stress more to my gp how bad my symptoms are but I will try again. I'll ask my gp about being referred to somewhere else if this is fruitless, thanks for the suggestion and the reply! X by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 2:29pm)
  • My dad has offered to pay for a private diagnosis but I told him I feared this very thing. I've read more than a few accounts of people from the UK who have gone private and receieved a diagnosis after a short phone call which I found very odd. Also I've been estranged from my dad for a long time and I am not comfortable with him paying, the fact that on paper I fit the criteria means that they should at least see me, I shouldn't even have to consider private care. If I can't get help from the nhs then I will go private. Thanks again, this is invaluable information. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 2:34pm)
  • Thanks that's nice of you. It's a good thing that I'm stressed, the last 6 years of intense depression I felt almost nothing. In fact the whole reason I started looking into adhd is because a couple months ago I woke up feeling inexplicably restless then I remembered "shit this is how I used to feel 24/7", after learning that my self diagnosed "restless leg syndrome" could actually be adhd I was floored. I'll reach out if I have more questions. Take care. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 2:44pm)
  • I completely forgot to ask you this: Their 3rd reasoning for rejection was that I had used drugs within the last 3 months. I told my gp that I had smoked cannabis habitually until I was 26 but in the last few years it has been rare and I don't feel a craving for it anymore. I told him I'd smoked a few months ago, it was the end of April or start of may. I can completely understand why drug use can make diagnose harder but is this a legitimate reason in your eyes? by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 2:57pm)
  • This is what I thought. My close friend Jamie had been seeking help for his alcoholism since he was 18 and because he couldn't stop drinking they wouldn't help him. He killed himself 3 years ago. Thinking about it makes me so angry. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 3:19pm)
  • I called the hscp (I'd never heard of them before) and they have forwarded my complaints to a "social rights worker" who should contact me within the next 24 hours. Great suggestion, thank you. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 3:34pm)
  • I called hscp but they have told me I have to call the South Lanarkshire place instead. Do you know a number for them? by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 3:55pm)
  • This is exactly it. Thanks. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 5:22pm)
  • My family are so dysfunctional that their assessment of my problems is actually one of my biggest worries. My whole family has mental health issues and I doubt they think many of my issues are abnormal. I hope you don't mind me asking but who did you go to and how much did it cost? Pm me if you'd rather not share publicly. Thanks for the reply! by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 6:01pm)
  • Thanks. I'm also going to speak to my solicitor to see if he can put some pressure on them and expedite the process as I've been going through this same bullshit for almost 10 years now. Gps have suggested I may have bipolar and ptsd as well as the ever present 'anxiety and depression' so to be rejected for a screening is really disheartening and confusing. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 8:51pm)
  • I feel pretty determined right now so I have written a letter for my gp and the eastvale centre with reasons as to how their assessment ignored the information I gave to my gp. I've also included an adhd self referral checklist as provided by the GP who replied to this thread. They ask for "objective evidence", I'm very concerned that I'll be rejected because "I can't be objective about my own mental health" or that they require evidence from schoolwork which is not possible for me. Their 3rd and final reason for rejection is the only one bothering me "no active illicit drug misuse for at least 3 months (especially stimulant use) as this would make any diagnosis invalid...". I told my doctor that I smoked weed a few months ago but can't remember exactly what I said to him. I really don't want to lie but if I have to tell a fib to get medical care then I might. I'm considering contacting my solicitor about this too but I'll go through these initial steps first. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 9:14pm)
  • I'm meeting with my dad tomorrow and I've made a note to ask him if he would be willing to write a letter, it might help. This is my new GP and I will change if I feel he's not standing up for me. by Time_Newspaper_9775 (Tue 13th Jul 2021 9:45pm)
