If you take the entrance that's to the left of the recycling centre, instead of the one at the end of the street there's a trail that runs through some trees then alongside a field. Better yet, use the contact page from the Police Scotland website. It gets forwarded to the correct jurisdiction and the police have to open a report. Take a couple photos next time they're out. When the police do turn up, show them the photos and explain what's been happening. More than likely the local beat cops know the kids and will just have a chat with them. American here. Shops close much earlier than you're used to and a lot of the smaller ones don't even open on Sundays. There are no tabs at bars. Be prepared to whip your card out each time you order. Someone asking "How?" means "why?" Generally you'll hear a lot more cursing than you're probably used to and you'll eventually get used to hearing the word "cunt" all the time. Charity shops are awesome and they're for everyone (friend of mine didn't go for ages because she assumed they were only for the needy). You will feel sluggish in winter because it's dark much earlier. Get some vitamin D tablets. First of all welcome my fellow American, you're going to love it here. My understanding is that it's illegal, but I've never seen it enforced. I've smelled it walking down the streets, even seen folks lighting up near police. That said, as a visa holder, you probably want to be more cautious than you might otherwise at home. At the end of the day you're a guest here and subject to more restrictions than others. Staff in Granny's are nice, but no one else there will talk to you. Same old folks who always go there and I've never found them friendly. I moved to Scotstoun 4 years ago and McNabbs was alright by then, but I've heard it used to be called McStabb's. Everyone will look to see who's coming in but I've never been treated strangely.
