  • Got a mortgage for move in December. Team were fantastic, our advisor got promoted past way through the process and we were moved to someone else, but this was handled so smoothly it didn't matter. Most of our appointments were with Louise, who was very competent and found us a good deal. Will be back when the time comes to remortgage. by bunnyofdarkness (Sat 9th Mar 2019 11:00pm)
  • We have both a factor and an owner's committee, which is a good compromise in some ways. We're quite a big group of flats and we've needed quite a bit of work done. Probably not as cheap as what you're suggesting, but it works for us. In fairness though I think we have pretty good factors and they cooperate with the decisions of the owners committee, and the committee makes sure they keep the costs down and only act in the owners' best interests. by bunnyofdarkness (Sat 25th Jan 2020 4:06pm)
  • We're factored by Speirs Gumley, I've also previously rented a flat for which they were the letting agent. They're pretty good as these things go. by bunnyofdarkness (Sat 25th Jan 2020 9:28pm)
  • This link has the reopening dates and other information for Glasgow libraries and other facilities: https://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/coronavirus-covid-19-latest-information Not sure if reduced capacity will mean workspaces are available, but at least you know when they're open and can give them a phone. by bunnyofdarkness (Wed 5th Aug 2020 1:36pm)
  • In your post above you state: This is a "national" survey going to *list of English cities* and Scotland. I know this isn't meant to be offensive, but why would you not say Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen? We see a lot of stuff in Scotland where we are tacked on as an after thought. Just something to think about. Also I did your survey. You did not say city/region, you said city. Scotland isn't a city. by bunnyofdarkness (Wed 19th Aug 2020 11:26pm)
  • They are super good value for money as well considering they're in the centre. Been regularly for a good few years and the food is reliably. I'd recommend Crispy beef with Peking sauce. by bunnyofdarkness (Wed 18th Nov 2020 12:58pm)
  • Escape Glasgow on Wellington Street is really good. Done several rooms and they have all been decent, Baker St one is my favourite. Though their "easy" room is pretty easy, however they have (or certainly used to) a policy that if you complete a room significantly under the time limit, with no external hints then you got a voucher to go back and do another room. by bunnyofdarkness (Sun 9th May 2021 11:54pm)
  • Yeah you still have to apply for the exemption, then the university usually confirms electronically with the council. It is a pain, I also had a situation where I was liable for council tax over a summer between 2 different courses. At the end of the day I couldn't find a way round it, unless your in a position to claim housing benefit, you probably need to pay it. You did the right thing though from a legal stand point by bunnyofdarkness (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 5:22pm)
  • If you want one on one dog training, we worked with Jill a few times. It did help for us. She does travel to you, or works in Bellahouston Park quite a bit. http://www.busybeedogtraining.co.uk/index.html by bunnyofdarkness (Tue 28th Jun 2022 11:26am)
