  • & the weather ain't exactly encouraging. I mean we're no made of sugar, but why willingly stand about in it & in the middle of this nonsense no less! It's madness man. by mrsvlsk (Mon 29th Jun 2020 8:55am)
  • Aww, we've all met the type of orange walker you're on about. Sorry that you're living under that! by mrsvlsk (Fri 31st Jul 2020 5:46pm)
  • Does she have any sort of written contract? This seems hella fishy, being asked to resign is a bit mental to me as well. If it was legitimate, surely she would have been outright sacked for missing a month of work? I agree with you, it's totally unprofessional & actually a bit ridiculous to me. That should have been an e-mail, voicemail or written letter sent out stating the return to work date. I've never heard of a work communicating professionally on messenger, of course using it for unprofessional reasons but not something as important as that. Sorry that your GF is going through this on top of the pandemic, some people honestly have no hearts man. by mrsvlsk (Tue 18th Aug 2020 4:06pm)
  • That's good to know, I wasn't sure how it worked with that! by mrsvlsk (Tue 18th Aug 2020 8:58pm)
  • Anti-social bastards here as well, secretley been loving lockdown in the sense I don't have to be social with anyone 👏 by mrsvlsk (Sat 26th Sep 2020 2:53pm)
  • Been off it over a year & it's been fab. Dont even miss it a tiny bit & honestly canny fathom why I used to waste so much money on it by going to clubs/pubs etc! Good old fashioned mary-jane for me thanks - natural, healing & no chemical nasties 👌 by mrsvlsk (Sat 26th Sep 2020 2:52pm)
  • Exactly mate, 1000% how I feel. Not having to small talk people at the shop or anything - minus the life threatening virus & job shite, it's been grand 🙈😂 by mrsvlsk (Sun 27th Sep 2020 2:50pm)
  • https://www.reddit.com/r/glasgow/comments/j0zads/free_just_eat/ 🙈🙈 by mrsvlsk (Mon 28th Sep 2020 12:01am)
  • The back of the Molly Malones lane is a nightmare for human shite. I worked in the Clarks that used to be up there, once upon a time & the amount of mornings I would go round the back to get in, only to be greeted by a massive human shite complete with toilet paper, was fucking ridiculous - especially considering there's a McDonald's just a minutes walk away with a public toilet! Minging, rancid bastards! by mrsvlsk (Mon 28th Sep 2020 7:59pm)
  • Tell your doc you're ready for going to A&E but you were told to get an emergency phone appointment with your GP before you went up. I done that for severe back pain last week & got an emergency next-day script for the strong co-codamol. Maybe worth a shot at least - as soon as I mentioned I was in enough pain to go up, my docs tune completely changed. If you did go to A&E I think they would be able to give you painkillers then then & there? Hope you feel better. by mrsvlsk (Wed 7th Oct 2020 9:14pm)
  • Over the counter meds normally don't touch "proper" pain tbh. by mrsvlsk (Wed 7th Oct 2020 9:18pm)
  • I completely 100% agree with you. It's upsetting about the job losses but everyone has experienced job losses. It actually makes me shake my head just how desperate these dafties are for a drink. The UK is essential built on social drinking - when you stop drinking alcohol, that's when you notice just how prevalent it is in the UK. Re-opening them was a massive mistake, literally so obvious it's unreal - sober people aren't social distancing, never mind drunk people! I dunno what they think re-closing them for 2 weeks is gonna do? Just gonna be straight back to it when they open again. I dunno what the fuck the government are thinking but I also don't know how anyone could even want to be in a pub in the middle of a pandemic. Drink in your house, or go old school, back down to your local haunts you drank at before you were allowed in pubs. It's bloody madness - people are struggling to even afford to live just now, weans are having their full lives massively changed, no bein able to be normal at all & others are greetin about a pub being shut? Honestly man. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:03pm)
  • I'm glad there's more people that think this. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:08pm)
  • Totally agree with you, it's ridiculous. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:08pm)
  • I bloody hate that stereotype! Not every Scot is a drinker, honestly man. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:06pm)
  • Exactly! by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:05pm)
  • Could they not just meet up for a socially distanced walk or hike, sit in the park for a picnic type situation, have someone round their back garden for a sit? I see where you are coming from, I personally just don't agree that a pub is the only way for adults to spend time with other adults, especially in a pandemic. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:12pm)
  • Don't have to go to a pub if you want a drink though.. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:10pm)
  • Maybe with the pubs being closed, people might rethink if *only* socializing in a pub is actually mentally & physically healthy. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:10pm)
  • Welcome to reddit bro, fact & logic are downvoted when they make a person feel uncomfortable because it resonates with them. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:19pm)
  • sounds like you need new mates! by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:17pm)
  • so bloody true! I call them "functional alcoholics". They think because they aren't pissed during the day they are totally brilliant but they still drink a bottle of wine or 6 cans/halfs every night? Like no, that's not normal no matter how many people try to say it is. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:16pm)
  • Sounds like you've had a shit therapist bro, but try not paint them all with the same stick. Therapy can literally change lives. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:22pm)
  • You can still meet up with & socialize without a pub. It's Scotland, we have some of the most beautiful natural country there is. Go for a hike, a walk, picnics, fishing, cycling, camping, invite someone round for a socially distanced visit, sit in a garden - literally so many ways to socialise without a pub. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:21pm)
  • I misread your comment, I thought you were meaning that going to a pub takes people's mind off things, not alcohol. My mistake! by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 12:56pm)
  • If that's the case, something defos needs to be done to sort that. A pub shouldn't be the only place adults can meet up to socialise. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 1:24pm)
  • Still better than 50 odd people mwi in a pub all in each other's spaces. Kitchen always ends up the room to be in somehow, lmao. by mrsvlsk (Sat 10th Oct 2020 1:23pm)
  • I sincerely hope so. by mrsvlsk (Mon 12th Oct 2020 3:46pm)
  • Commenting cause I'm seriously interested as well, just don't want to be spending all that money on glorified olive oil. I'd be looking in to it for fibromyalgia if that helps anyone with suggestions by mrsvlsk (Wed 28th Oct 2020 7:21pm)
  • bravo man - never underestimate the linguistic powers of a ragin Scot! by mrsvlsk (Sat 31st Oct 2020 4:19am)
  • I plan to record whenever I take her out from now on. Any suggestions on what she could have even called the police for or what they might say? I'm honestly bamboozled, I've never even had a full conversation with the woman. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:19pm)
  • I honestly thought that but I have anxiety in general & it's proper set me off just now. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:24pm)
  • I'm 100% reporting her, as online has told me you only have to feel threatened to report, not have actually been attacked. I was waiting to see if the police came to me first to them tell them when they are talking to me. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:24pm)
  • Exactly my point, I have absolutely no clue. That's my plan from now on but I'm just a bit worried just now as I've never been in any contact with police before or had them called on me. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:22pm)
  • The council website is directing me to call 101, I'm wondering if you know if that's correct as I wouldn't want to waste police time. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:30pm)
  • Thanks for the reassurance! by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:43pm)
  • Thanks for the reassurance guys, I really appreciate it by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:42pm)
  • Honestly tell me about it! I'm so fed up of the "aww they're fine they just want to say hi" like no, my dog has been attacked & has severe anxiety because arsehole's think they're the only people that matter! I actually take a metal dog chain out with me, to put it on any dog that comes up to us but as I said, this bitch didn't even have a collar on her dog for us to control It for her! Also 100% agree she is a proper arsehole & the dog deserves well better. What if next time it does get to a dog? It would have destroyed my wee Russell in one bloody bite, she's literally about 7 inches long, absolutely tiny! No danger am I letting anything get to her, she's 18 as well & doesn't need this extra stress! by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:41pm)
  • Thank you. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 4:57pm)
  • Thanks for the reassurance! I've called 101 & I feel very confident about it. I hope your puppy was okay! I'm a complete dog person, I've have had multiple of all sizes since I was 4 & I'm 26 now, same with my partner, we aint no novices. But this was honestly ridiculous, the way she literally never even tried to do anything. I've have plenty run ins with a dog's off the lead but the owner always apologises & gets the dog quick smart. If my partner wasn't with me, I'm completely certain either myself or my furbaby would have been badly injured & it was horrible for my partner because he had to be prepared to hurt the dog if it went that far - we are both experienced dog people & find any sort of violence or anything abhorrent, but I love my dog more than I love anyone else's & if it's a question between my dog or the other getting hurt, I know what I'm picking. She's a terrible owner regardless but even more so for making that option even be on the table. by mrsvlsk (Wed 4th Nov 2020 6:10pm)
  • Thanks so much, she's perfectly fine she was just on edge & anxious for the rest of the night. Her age honestly boggles my mind, she's regularly mistaken for a pup because she's so tiny but even her personality, attitude & health is pretty much the exact same as when she was a pup! My partner has had her since she was physically born, as his father owned her mother, so he's ridiculously attached to her, as is she with him. We personally absolutely adore staffies & may possibly be getting one in future years so it really got to us both that we were put in the position of potentially having to hurt it to defend ourselves/furbaby because the stupid owner wouldn't do anything to control it. They're just too big & powerful to be off a lead if they don't listen because even when they are playing with you & being sweet, they can knock you off your feet very easily. I hope you're Yorkie is okay! I know how scary it is when they get trampled, cause they're just so little but they always think they can take on anything - wee dog syndrome we call it! Like, other dogs can be genuinely wanting to play or whatever but she just wants to fight because she sees every dog bigger than her as a threat now. She has far too old for that to change so we just try our absolute best to remove her from any situation with another dog, but it's bloody difficult when it's a staffie wrapped around your legs trying to jump up you to get to her, with the owner doing anything & not even a collar on for you to grab. She's been great with the fireworks the thankfully, we kind of swaddled her in a blanket & kept the tv up quite loud - I don't even think she noticed! 😊 by mrsvlsk (Fri 6th Nov 2020 1:30pm)
  • 100% agree. There is no such thing as a bad dog or a bad breed, only bad owners. by mrsvlsk (Fri 6th Nov 2020 1:39pm)
  • I completely agree, Staffies are an absolutely amazing breed & we are actually planning to get one as our next dog in future years. Thats why this incident got to us so much cause we were put in the position of having to potentially hurt it because the owner was doing nothing to control it or help the situation, it never even had a collar on for us to be able to grab it. They are just so powerful that even when playing it's so easy for them to knock you off you're feet, God only knows what it would do to my wee Russell - she's truly tiny, only about 7 inches long, it's not even funny how wee she is. I honestly don't know how I never got tripped up, I was just so focused on getting in the close cause I knew if I fell over, she would try to go for it & that would be her. It's not even fully grown yet & already massive, so I really hope she gets some proper training involved with it if she's determined to have it off lead. We've been recording every time we let her out now, even if nothing happened. by mrsvlsk (Fri 6th Nov 2020 1:36pm)
  • Exactly, people can make their own decisions. This is literally beyond a joke now. by mrsvlsk (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 6:35pm)
  • Lmao was waiting for someone to comment this. So fucking predictable. Please tell me where in my comment I said I was making shitty decisions & "killing your gran", Jesus Christ do you hear yourself? 🙈 I said people can make their own decisions, which, believe it or not, they can! by mrsvlsk (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 8:00pm)
  • Does it now? I never knew making my own decisions automatically meant I was wanting to "break the rules". Whatever you say... by mrsvlsk (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 8:23pm)
  • course you're gonna compare going to a park to doing that! by mrsvlsk (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 8:53pm)
  • The decision to go to a park for a walk 🙈 by mrsvlsk (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 11:17pm)
  • Oh aye, don't have to tell me! & you're downvoted into oblivion. So fucking pathetic it's ridiculous 🙈 Fuck the reddit hive mind! Thankful there is at least one other person with a free thinking mind on here. by mrsvlsk (Sun 3rd Jan 2021 11:16pm)
