  • I had the same experience but I think The gardens and parks are empty cause everyone is visiting family in their tiny confined living rooms by panabulana (Sun 31st May 2020 12:41pm)
  • That is such a good idea. I regularly pick up litter in the uddingston area. Especially around the second. school. I think littering goes hand in hand with bad diets. All the rubbish I find are high sugar, high fat snacks that students buy during lunchtime. It might be worthwhile addressing this as well. M Also disposable bottles are a big issue around schools. I work at a higher education institute in Glasgow and took it upon myself to recycle lost and found reusable waterbottles. Pre covid we got around 10 a week, all of which we would bin every Friday. I decided to clean them and keep them in the hope of giving them to sports clubs,.schools and charity shops ( clearly not now). So if that's any use to you let me know. by panabulana (Mon 22nd Jun 2020 9:22pm)
  • Thanks man that's a start. I think shortly after fish it says 3pm. That's all I could figure out by panabulana (Thu 2nd Jul 2020 3:55pm)
  • I know! my dumb ass was like 'oh look 1991' 😂 by panabulana (Fri 3rd Jul 2020 10:00am)
  • Literally just on the main street. Near the Indian restaurant. Just a single page. I always like to pick up shopping list and notes and that's how I picked this thing up! by panabulana (Fri 3rd Jul 2020 12:39pm)
  • Did it. But I think there are some answer options missing, like 'none of the above'. sometimes the questions and answers seemed quite black and white and I couldn't really express how I feel about social media. Good luck with your research mate by panabulana (Sun 26th Jul 2020 3:48pm)
  • I mean I'm all with you when it comes to the management of councils be it Glasgow or South Lanarkshire. But just to put it in perspective. You are complaining about uncut grass and disruption in the bin/bulk lift up. If that the worst thing going on at the moment I think we are all pretty lucky. by panabulana (Mon 31st Aug 2020 9:38am)
  • True, maybe things will get better if we stop complaining on reddit, and actually address the issues with the council or form community groups. I appreciate a moan as much as the next guy, but besides confirming the issue on a wider scale it won't solve it. by panabulana (Mon 31st Aug 2020 9:57am)
  • Thanks so much for doing this..it might seem small and insignificant but if we'd all pick up five pieces each day the city would look different. Even if it is not our mess, we should still respect our space and create a city we can be proud of. by panabulana (Tue 15th Dec 2020 12:27am)
  • Nah man that's a ghost. No flare. by panabulana (Tue 22nd Dec 2020 9:13am)
  • i saw one near cowcaddens the other day saying : "Stop Calture of Fear". alright mate, the only scary thing here is your spelling. by panabulana (Tue 22nd Dec 2020 6:31pm)
  • Try the 10% rule. If a book is 220 pages long read 22 pages each day. That way you should read a book in 10 days. Try reading on your commute, before bed, on the toilet etc. And the biggest help I can offer is to detach yourself from your phone. by panabulana (Tue 29th Dec 2020 8:38am)
  • Yeah, encourage Glaswegian to drink outside. What a great idea. Do you want to give water to the gremlins too? by panabulana (Thu 31st Dec 2020 9:18pm)
  • Jessops. They also do student discount. by panabulana (Fri 1st Jan 2021 3:53pm)
  • I'm in the g71 area and do it around here. I went to the Blantyre AA battery today and was shocked with how quickly littering increased in the last couple weeks. Graffiti everywhere ( I don't mind nice graffiti that enhances building but tags like IRA and HTLR, fuck RFC is just disgraceful to a war memorial) Lots of glass and needles around. If everyone would just pick up five pieces a day. Thanks for fighting the good fight my friend. You are not alone. by panabulana (Mon 1st Feb 2021 6:12pm)
  • Same. It always shows me how good the Pfand system is in Germany. I literally see all the cans and bottles and think:"man that's money laying on the street!" by panabulana (Sun 7th Mar 2021 7:18am)
  • im not sure why kids would be scared to take back a bottle for 15p but okay. fairly sure they have bigger things to worry about. but for those who do not want to participate in the system can still contribute to positive change through it. I'm also more thinking along the lines of how it could benefit homeless people. Not saying that it should be their responsibility ,but if we have a pfand system in place and put our cans and bottles next to the bin instead of in the bin, homeless individual or pfand collector have easy access to it. and substitute their income through it. Usually there was a pfand collector with a shopping trolley outside the club to wait for people to empty their last beer before going in. he would then take the bottle and make a bit of cash off it. by panabulana (Sun 7th Mar 2021 1:16pm)
  • sure, they are people. but they chose to do the job. everyday they get up and be like " yes i want to work in a corrupt system with lots of institutionalized racism." noone of them can tell me they don't know about that shit. they chose to do it and they get paid for it. i dont give a flying fuck about their covid risk. by panabulana (Mon 8th Mar 2021 8:04am)
  • It's a general statement if you are not affected by it. Otherwise it is just the plain truth. I'm not saying that all police officers are racist cunts but they are covering their bad eggs, ultimately contributing to this blindly and making it socially acceptable. There is a certain job risk but again they knew what they signed up for. To compare sceptisim and critique of police with racsim, is like comparing an apple and a steak. Not the same fucking thing. Even though white people like to believe so by panabulana (Mon 8th Mar 2021 9:54am)
  • Agreed. I have been considering getting a second cat all adoption centers say that all cats would prefer outside access and can't live with other cats. Outside access is just not viable in cities like Glasgow or London. Mine has been inside her whole life. She has enough space and is very happy. I believe that she would also be fine with a new cat and would easily bond with them but the rules are so strict. I know it's with the best intention but this pushes people into the arms of puppy farmers. by panabulana (Tue 16th Mar 2021 10:09am)
  • OMG i have never come across them. they actually have a little baba that would fit perfectly in our family. he even has the name that my cat would have gotten if she'd been a boy. It is just meant to be. by panabulana (Tue 16th Mar 2021 1:35pm)
  • Top answer! Thanks for taking the time 😊 by panabulana (Wed 17th Mar 2021 11:04pm)
  • Haha they literally just burned their money by panabulana (Sun 21st Mar 2021 8:40pm)
  • What are the alternatives though? Green will unfortunately not get majority, labour and their boss are so far up Tories arse and let's not even mention the Tories. by panabulana (Wed 31st Mar 2021 11:12am)
  • Inthe Highlands they have the "there is no such thing as the poo fairy" campaign. And there is still dogshit everywhere. Humanity sucks. by panabulana (Thu 8th Apr 2021 11:14pm)
  • And look at us now. Rather going to Primark and co rather than standing up for our workers rights. And this city used to be a workers city. by panabulana (Sat 1st May 2021 7:05pm)
  • Because the shackles of capitalism are so comfortable. Especially if other people pay the price. Happy labour/workers day. by panabulana (Sat 1st May 2021 7:13pm)
  • Ohhh boy. Minium wage is not rising as sharply as the cost of living forcing more and more people into poverty and the gab between rich and poor will widen. My generation is less likely to ever own a house or flat cause we simply can't afford it. People from poorer area have less access to education, social welfare, job opportunities amongst other thing. The disposable income you spend in Primark enables sweatshop in Bangladesh and Pakistan. But as long as we don't see it or experience it can't possibly be real. Out of sight out of mind. It's not only about us. We are a global work and we are only as good as the children who make your Nike's somewhere in horrible condition. by panabulana (Sat 1st May 2021 7:59pm)
  • They literally enjoy burning their money. by panabulana (Sat 15th May 2021 4:54pm)

  • If you prepare to go a bit further out and enjoy quality sushi I can recommend yokoso in uddingston. Not all you can eat though. But top notch quality. by panabulana (Fri 30th Jul 2021 8:40pm)
  • They do amazing sushi platters. Their chicken katsu curry is good as well. And my family enjoyed the ramen too. by panabulana (Sat 31st Jul 2021 9:49am)
  • Thanks. I felt the same. They made it sound really official on the phone but the background check doesn't add up by panabulana (Tue 24th Aug 2021 8:25pm)
  • And they all look extremely dressed up for a day at the office. All they post are inspirational qoutes. by panabulana (Tue 24th Aug 2021 8:25pm)
  • Yeah but I don't see how they would pay me if I'm the product? If that makes sense? by panabulana (Tue 24th Aug 2021 8:36pm)
  • I pay 6.60£ for a return on the bus, it takes 45 minutes. The train is 2.70£ and takes 15 minutes. Just saying. by panabulana (Sun 3rd Oct 2021 12:56pm)

  • Remember how we sent our rubbish to China for centuries and let them deal with our mess. And now that China won't have it ( rightly so) we send it to smaller Asian country who are not equipped to deal with our waste. Also Remember how in capitalism we want everything cheaply produced and preferably now? You can't blame China for your lifestyle choices. by panabulana (Wed 10th Nov 2021 8:18am)
  • Haha fair point by panabulana (Mon 15th Nov 2021 6:01pm)
  • I used to live next to a pigeon breeder. They were trained and were exercised 2 a day. I really miss the sound they make flying over head. It's really a lovely addition. Embrace it by panabulana (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 4:51pm)
  • Might be controversial, but the ladies section? Jeans are jeans and noone will know. Otherwise maybe Levi's? by panabulana (Fri 10th Dec 2021 4:47pm)
  • Im glad to hear that my humble little post saved you. I hope you have better luck with your job search. I believe in you! by panabulana (Wed 2nd Feb 2022 1:27pm)
  • I find it really difficult adopting a cat. They always need to have outdoor acccess and no others pets, which is just not realistic in a city. I do have a spoilt 4 years old cat and looking for another one. If you think it could work, send me a DM by panabulana (Thu 14th Apr 2022 1:21pm)
  • He sang "brown eyed girl" these other day, and it blew me away! by panabulana (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 1:06pm)
  • Why does it have to be Celtic is worse than rangers and vice versa. Public littering and antisocial behaviour is not a competition. It is shit if they wear a blue shirt and it is shit when they wear a green shirt. by panabulana (Sun 15th May 2022 11:07am)
  • Yes, this! University usually offer certain amount of places to certain funding categories. European don't want to pay high tution fees if they can have an equally good education for almost free in Europe. So Asian applicants are more likely to get places and are more than happy to pay the ridiculous high tution fee. At the end of the day Universities are a business and all they want is make a lot of money by panabulana (Mon 6th Jun 2022 5:31pm)
  • Mods can we block this user? Has been posting absolute shite for a while now. Probably gets off to it. Must be a sad little life. by panabulana (Wed 24th Aug 2022 7:39pm)
  • A woman should not be forced to share her body for nine month against her will. Period. Please don't assume what other people want or chose. Other peoples decision to have an abortion does not affect you. If they exhausted all options or not is not your decision to make or judge. by panabulana (Wed 24th Aug 2022 7:37pm)
  • But it's not up to me as women to change that! Making sure the world demographics are balanced is not my life's purpose. We life on a patriarchy who has created this state. by panabulana (Wed 24th Aug 2022 7:49pm)
  • Sure buddy, you keep telling yourself that.... 😁 by panabulana (Wed 24th Aug 2022 7:47pm)
  • You literally called women becoming more empowered a (world) problem. by panabulana (Thu 25th Aug 2022 8:16am)
  • Glad to hear you volunteer to tidy up the city center the next day. Be careful not to slip on the piss shit, blood puke that your fellow "fans" leave behind by panabulana (Tue 9th May 2023 8:08am)
  • Well for people who work in finance, they sure do not make very smart financial choices. by panabulana (Tue 30th May 2023 7:38am)
  • How the fuck you turned a discussion about womens right into a discussion about your football club is quite disgusting. Your world must be quite small and narrow minded. People like you don't even understand what football or scotland is about mate. Stop sniffing glue. by panabulana (Wed 14th Jun 2023 8:51pm)
  • How many women made true rape allegations but where not believed or supported by the police. How many rape victim retracted their reports because of the way they, as victims, have been treated? by panabulana (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 2:04pm)
  • Fun fact. Women want equality too. That's the whole point. You might not be aware but we are living in patriarchy where roles of power are predominantly filled by man. They make the rules and men are the ones mainly benefitting from it. Apparently this has been going on for centuries, who would have known. Would recommend you read up on it. by panabulana (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 2:02pm)
  • Thank you for taken good care of your guinea pigs. So many people neglect their needs and just use them as entertainment for toddlers. It's always nice to see responsible guinea pig owners. by panabulana (Thu 29th Jun 2023 11:22pm)
  • I know that uddingston, the neighbouring village, has issues with youth setting fires to bins and woods. Not saying it was them but arson issues are common in the area. by panabulana (Wed 19th Jul 2023 11:35am)
  • I just tell them in my native language that I don't speak English and they usually leave me alone. One time the dude replied in my native language which was a surprise. Alternatively tell them you already donate to that charity. Might get you a high five. by panabulana (Sun 26th Nov 2023 3:28pm)
