  • How can you possibly take this further without admitting you were in possession of an illegal substance, 'old' or not 😂? You going to go to a lawyer or the police? Daft mistake is all yours, and if I was your bird I would have hit the roof for wasting my £85 😂🤦‍♀️ Still though, the show was slightly shite so don't feel too sad about it lol I would be more raging about the money lost. by saturnbands182 (Mon 7th Oct 2019 11:17pm)
  • Preach! I'm mince at knowing which lane I'm meant to be in, and 90% of the time the arrow is on the road ...with other cars on top of it 👌 Cue stress and last minute indicating in a blind panic that I'm holding up all the folk behind me wanting to go straight on. by saturnbands182 (Thu 28th Nov 2019 6:45pm)
  • Preach, I used to work in a shop on Queen Street and not only was the street itself manky with litter and the likes, but anything on the shelves at the front door had to be cleaned every other day as it got coated with car exhaust dust. That was back when the street was riddled with scaffolding as well. Looking a lot better now! by saturnbands182 (Thu 2nd Jan 2020 12:28am)
  • The only way I could get out of the gigantic deposit in Edinburgh was to find a guarantor. by saturnbands182 (Thu 13th Feb 2020 10:13am)
  • That's really cool, well done! And thank you for thinking of us! by saturnbands182 (Sat 7th Mar 2020 10:06pm)
  • I am putting the barbeque on later if it's nice enough outside! Meant to be cloudy today tho so bit of a downer. by saturnbands182 (Thu 16th Apr 2020 9:52am)
  • Reading this while surrounded by the sounds of lawnmowers, hedge strimmers, and pressure washers. I have never walked past someone's gaff and thought 'now that is a lovely washed bit of monoblock there'. Just get out and sit with a cocktail Moira, you'll be deid soon! by saturnbands182 (Wed 6th May 2020 3:12pm)
  • Yeah I can see why it's therapeutic if you're doing it, but my god the whole air is abuzz with garden equipment and I would love some peace by saturnbands182 (Wed 6th May 2020 3:43pm)
  • Herons are DICKS. They usually choose their perching spot about now because this is when all the baby ducklings come out. They will set up camp where they know th duck families live and will pick off the ducklings one by one. by saturnbands182 (Mon 25th May 2020 10:33pm)
  • The amount of people I've seen just blatantly saying they're away to so-and-so's house party tonight is genuinely baffling. I feel like one of the only people in Glasgow who can read and understand instructions. It's the 'may as well' attitude taking over. Oh you're in the garden having a wee bbq burger with us? You need the toilet just head up. You've been to the toilet now may as well just go in and out as you please. Oh the weans have been an inch apart this whole time and no one can stop them cause they're too wee. May as well no bother now since the weans haven't. It just goes inch by inch by inch until suddenly it's apparently the point of no return with them and everyone throws their hands up and goes lockdown shmockdown. by saturnbands182 (Sun 31st May 2020 12:42pm)
  • Howling 😂. Wtf did I just watch by saturnbands182 (Tue 22nd Sep 2020 10:36pm)
  • I was the same during the lockdown April time, never been so buzzing that people weren't showing up at my door all the time. Sound ungrateful as I'm sure some folk would kill for company in that sense but sometimes you just want your home to be a wee sanctuary. by saturnbands182 (Sat 26th Sep 2020 11:06pm)
  • I just seen it on Glasgow Live page mate, I didn't take the photo myself lol. Just thought it looked nice. Apologies if the truth has been bent here lol. by saturnbands182 (Tue 6th Oct 2020 8:34pm)
  • Aye aye, ok. The person who edited it has been a bit heavy handed 😂. Geez peace I thought it looked nice lol. by saturnbands182 (Tue 6th Oct 2020 8:36pm)
  • Yeah it didn't give me the option to save the photo - it was posted to Glasgow Live on Facebook. by saturnbands182 (Tue 6th Oct 2020 8:35pm)
  • Police moved them on too many times back of borders. by saturnbands182 (Wed 7th Oct 2020 4:08pm)
  • Great job! Question - did you use a ruler for this at all? Always amazed when I see drawings like this that have zero squint lines. by saturnbands182 (Fri 20th Nov 2020 12:17pm)
  • Thanks so much for your reply this was really helpful! I always love drawings like this and think they look really therapeutic to produce - sort of like putting together a really big jigsaw. I'm a portrait artist myself so really struggle with this sort of precision drawing. Might try it out (on a much smaller and more forgiving building)! by saturnbands182 (Fri 20th Nov 2020 4:13pm)

  • We have rough casting and paid to get it done recently. Chose a nice white with flecks of black, looks nice and modern and helps keep the house heated. by saturnbands182 (Wed 23rd Dec 2020 1:25pm)
  • I've never sent stuff over there but I've received stuff from aus! Will need to look into it. by saturnbands182 (Mon 28th Dec 2020 8:40am)
  • I think the most important thing here is going with the flow, and not taking life too seriously. I'm not sure what it was you tried to chat to these ladies about in bed but clearly they weren't impressed and I'm thinking possibly you're trying to be too deep and serious? It's obviously important to connect with someone and have deep moments... But there's a time and a place you know? Maybe 3-4 dates in isn't quite there yet. As someone who also has lived other places than Glasgow... Tread very very carefully about how you present that other 'side' of you and how much better you feel that it is. It can so easily be misinterpreted as "where I used to be is way better than here. Here is shit. You all make bad choices, these choices are better", and that kind of attitude doesn't fly well in general, never mind around proud weegies. Something to consider. The love side of things... It's true what people say. You find love most easily when you aren't looking for it. Stop looking, and focus more on finding some friends. Tinder and dating life is great fun but ultimately it's a manufactured situation, and both people know that. Real connections in this way are rare, and for the most part dating is just meant to be a bit of fun and going "aw my god that date I had last night was dire do you want to hear about it" and just having a laugh. I second other people's advice - start looking into your hobbies and interests and find a few clubs and things to do. Don't come off desperate like you "need" friends. Just be fun, happy, and enjoy the club. Ask people what theyre up to this weekend and mention that you've moved from abroad so your weekends are pretty basic right now - someone may give you an olive branch you never know. Or just ask some guy you vibe with, hey mate fancy a pint after this? Just saves me heading up the road myself! The 'one pint' thing usually works cause if folk don't feel the friendship then they can go for a quick pint and go home, and make an excuse next time. If they do vibe they can stay for a few and you can say we should do this again. Hope you get on ok - being 30 plus and lonely is shite. But a lot of people are also in your boat! So don't give up. by saturnbands182 (Wed 19th May 2021 7:58pm)
  • Just now I work in a bank call centre, it's a decent enough wee wage and all that I'm just ready to move on. Ideally something like what I'm doing with a pay notch up, or an office manager role. All my skills are communication/people based. by saturnbands182 (Tue 25th May 2021 9:45pm)
