  • Can you get to Linthouse? Perellas pizzas are pretty good. They used to deliver - fuck knows what's going on the now though. 445-4034 by sunnygovan (Thu 30th Apr 2020 2:13pm)

  • It's really up to your landlord in a legal sense - they are effectively stealing land from him. But in theory there is nothing stopping you tearing down the fence apart from the agro it will cause. They after all have no right to build the fence in the first place. by sunnygovan (Wed 1st Jul 2020 4:06pm)
  • Used them for ten years. Fixing stuff took forever (in some cases having to withhold rent to get shit done). Stayed because the flat was so cheap. by sunnygovan (Thu 2nd Jul 2020 2:41pm)
  • Was hoping that this was the old police dog training centre they were using for maximum irony but it's a few doors down. by sunnygovan (Wed 15th Jul 2020 9:54am)
  • It's OK. Never had bother in 10 years but a mate of mine did get jumped once riding home on his bike. Sometimes get junkies in your close if your neighbours have a weird aversion to shutting doors too. There is a coffee shop (Serene I think) and a sandwich shop (Bite Me) across the road from Cessnock underground - both are fab. Wan 2 Wan Chinese is pretty decent. If you ever here a bloody annoying intermittent humming noise from the direction of the old school at North Gower Street it's the Air Con system in the disused part. Took me forever to find out and get the council to witness it and get it sorted. by sunnygovan (Thu 16th Jul 2020 3:07pm)

  • I'm being a bit twattish. Ben More very roughly translates as Big Hill (really great mountain) and there's multiple mountains called that, so that's the closest "Big Hill". by sunnygovan (Mon 20th Jul 2020 12:27pm)

  • Yip, OP has picked an odd hill. by sunnygovan (Thu 3rd Sep 2020 5:37pm)
  • > Ah so you're saying a person can be HIV+ and not resemble any of the stereotypical qualities of a 'junkie'? In other words they could look fairly normal and respectable? Of course. That's why I said it would apply to people with track marks... > That would render the sign pretty redundant, ineffective and mean-spirited, no? No. But I can understand why the sign would seem pointless if you were the type of person that thinks only homeless people that can't afford ink are junkies. by sunnygovan (Thu 3rd Sep 2020 5:45pm)

  • You are not allowed to say anything anti-bike owner on reddit. Pointing out they are doing something wrong, selfish or stupid will only be ignored or downvoted. by sunnygovan (Tue 15th Sep 2020 12:14pm)
  • In a thread about storing your fire hazard causing crap in a communal space. Have you considered it's just people in general that are entitled babies? by sunnygovan (Tue 15th Sep 2020 12:24pm)
  • Put it in your house? We own two bikes. They are kept inside our 2nd floor flat when not in use. Unless you literally live in a shoebox and can't afford a wall hanger I just don't get why that's such an inconvenience. However I don't really get your reply. You, "Drivers are cunts", Me "In this thread we have cyclists being cunts - maybe it's people that are cunts", You "Drivers are cunts". We already established that. I'm pointing out it's being people that makes them cunts, not being drivers. by sunnygovan (Tue 15th Sep 2020 1:01pm)
  • Maybe neds 20 years ago. More what our American friends call Karens. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:39pm)
  • Security had already told them they couldn't come in. So I assume he already had. Just wouldn't back it up himself. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:49pm)
  • He has security to back him up. All he needs to do is say no. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:48pm)
  • Are you suggesting I assault random women or just start shouting myself? by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:47pm)
  • His job? Tesco Head office said yesterday they won't ne allowing maskless people into their stores without a valid reason. I suppose "I can't be bothered dealing with you shits" could be considered a valid reason by some. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:46pm)
  • Yes, he can say no and tell them to get out. Like they do with barred shopliffters all the time. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:51pm)
  • Dam right I am. If you want to confront maskless bints you go right ahead. I have a wife with severe asthma - I'll be taking zero fucking risks - you can think what you like. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:58pm)
  • Yes they did. He then overruled them. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:56pm)
  • Say no? Why is that such a big ask? Security are already stopping them from entering, all he needs to do is back up his staff and not overrule them. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 12:56pm)
  • Are you serious? I've done this in the past and these sorts of folk will get right up in your face spraying their aggression at you. Fine then - not now. Grow up. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:04pm)
  • It was the store manager, dude is earning a bit more than minimum wage. When I worked there over a decade ago Section Managers were on 13 quid an hour so unless they have had zero wage increases you're way off even for the bottom manager ranks. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:01pm)
  • You live in a fairy tale land mate. You absolutely need to grow up. Hell, actually why don't you go shout at some 40 year old senga in the east end, see how long your high and mighty attitude lasts. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:08pm)
  • You're right. Good points, well made. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:06pm)
  • What? Suggesting you do what you are telling me I should have done and see what happens is odd in your view? Get a grip. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:11pm)
  • Lol. Some wee internet hardman called me a shitebag - oh noes. Seriously man are you 12? by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:17pm)
  • The guard had no problems telling them to leave. The manager overruled them. But you might be right. I just hate seeing people that were only doing their jobs getting overruled because someone whines enough. Really pisses me off. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:15pm)
  • Have you ever butted into an argument with entitled old ex neds in the east end? I don't feel like getting spat on today thanks, my wife has severe asthma and these two obviously don't think they need to take any precautions. No risks for me. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:38pm)
  • Didn't get all of it, were already being told no by guard when I arrived. Store manager turned up while I waiting in the queue. They started claiming they just forgot them, he offered then ones for free then they started claiming the were exempt but wouldn't say why. Missed a lot because I was away for a piss. Am no leavin, Am no leavin... Call the cops! Am no movin. Muffed response from manager, then they walked in the store. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:35pm)
  • No I don't see any irony. My wife has severe asthma so I'm not confronting arsey bints. It's part of his job to keep them out of the shop to protect his staff and customers. It's my job to keep my wife safe. GFY. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:47pm)
  • Good for you, you go get spat on. I'll keep my wife safe thanks. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:47pm)
  • Dam, you're right, I should expose myself (and therefore my severely asthmatic wife) to arseholes that may have a highly infectious disease so some fannyboy internet hardman doesn't think I'm gutless. Well done. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 1:45pm)
  • In the same comment I said they probably used to be neds yeah? Do bampot Karens not exist in your world? by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:07pm)
  • I used to work for Tesco when I was at Uni, dealing with aggressive cunts is 100% part of the job. He may have his reasons I grant you but I still can't help get pissed off at someone not backing up their staff. If protecting my loved ones makes me a shitebag in the eyes of some wee fanny then sell me to a farm as manure. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:06pm)
  • While I am most impressed that's your health you are gambling with. That's 100% up to you. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:09pm)
  • You are the one defending a shitebag that are well paid to deal with shit like this while thinking protecting your loved ones should be mocked. Are you the shitebag Tesco manager or someone just like him? Did I hurt your feelings? by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:24pm)
  • I'm really worried that some anonymous people think looking after my loved ones makes me gutless. In fact I'm going to go back out and start licking doorknobs right now to impress you all. Your admiration means the world to me. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:20pm)
  • Happy to be. I am not going to risk catching a disease that could kill my wife. Meow. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:27pm)
  • Masks don't protect you, they protect other people from you... My wife is at home shielding. I'm making sure I don't get it so she doesn't get it from me. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:25pm)
  • Using the toilet was unplanned and felt pretty unavoidable unfortunately. On the bright side at least their is no door to touch after you wash your hands. Otherwise I think you are right. Home shopping from now on. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:43pm)
  • That's a sucky set of instuctions. Defeats the whole purpose and make it look like Tesco were just wanting some publicity. I usually do (pre-covid) stand up for retail workers. I used to be one and know how much fun the public can be. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:56pm)
  • It seems I am wrong about the manager as a Tesco employee posted the policy in this thread. He's actually a good guy going above and beyond. You however are still a complete twat. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:03pm)
  • You think I posted a (as it happens completely incorrect) whinge about a dude for admiration? I've had nothing but pelters from twats like you. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:05pm)
  • That explains all the comments lol. Regardless it seems I'm totally in the wrong. The manager went above and beyond. I've edited the top post. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:14pm)
  • Your source is lying or you have the stores mixed up. Regardsless I am in the wrong. Manager actually went above and beyond tesco policy. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:11pm)
  • I believe you. Only 99% of internet moderators are pathetic scroats looking for power online because they are worthless in real life. I'm completely sure you are one of the 1%. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:24pm)
  • Touchy. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:37pm)
  • It is. But it's only reddit. Don't let it upset you so much. You'll feel better I promise. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 3:41pm)
  • I had, then some random stated talking to me and I don't want to be rude. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 4:45pm)
  • To be honest I've found it just a bit strange. All these pretend hardmen waving their dicks around. Are people impressed, even if they are - it's an anonymous forum - who cares? It's bizarre. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 4:59pm)
  • I'm sure most mods are great tbh. Reddit couldn't work without them and we owe them all big time. I'm was just winding up Velo using a well known meme because he was being a big internet hardman twat. I was there and so were at least 50 others - no-one else stepped in so according to idiots like Velo we are all gutless shitebags. I used to work on Tesco and I've been the guy getting shouted at and threatened - no-one ever steps in. It's pathetic posturing and I couldn't not mock him. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 5:06pm)
  • I worked in Tesco for years. You tell them to get out or you'll call the cops. Most folk leave when you pick up the phone. by sunnygovan (Thu 14th Jan 2021 5:12pm)
  • Gs in Nelson street do a decent white pudding supper. by sunnygovan (Mon 20th Feb 2023 1:17pm)
  • Not short sighted at all if the rumours I read on here the other day are true. A member of council that did the underpaying lobbied the union to not pursue the case (as it's not good for Labour and unions want Labour to win) then when the SNP took over lobbied the union to pursue the case. Quite smart really, just shitty. by sunnygovan (Mon 20th Feb 2023 1:29pm)
  • I was a FTB and just thought this was the way. I bid for a house the day it went on the market. The estate agent got calls from 6 other folk but didn't accept their bids. Because of the interest the owner decided to reject my bid and go to a best offer on closing date. The house I eventually bought I just made a bid and had it accepted. by sunnygovan (Fri 13th Oct 2023 7:30am)
