  • I thought it was just a tribute to firefighters who have lived and worked in Glasgow from the past and now by MaryQofScots (Sun 27th Jan 2019 10:06pm)
  • Firstly I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. But also your GP sounds like a dick. If no other organisation has any idea who you are you need to go back to him and ask him to refer you again. In one case they were using an address I didn’t even give them, so you should make sure you they have the right address. I have been on the waitlist for CBT for two years. In the end I managed to get CBT through uni but as someone with mental health issues and the NHS, you have to harass them even though it’s exhausting and hard. You could also try Glasgow Association for mental health, and some organisations are able to offer support. However, most of the time unless you meet special requirements (for example open secret offer support to people who were specifically abused as children) so if you don’t meet the requirements they can’t help. Most of the time unless it’s the NHS, voluntary orgs have long wait lists too, some people go private but £30 upwards for counselling and stuff is a lot of money. But please don’t give up, CBT has made a world of difference to me and you deserve this support, make sure you get it! by MaryQofScots (Mon 28th Jan 2019 9:36pm)
  • I came to comment and you literally have all my suggestions here and I couple I need to go to! by MaryQofScots (Sat 23rd Mar 2019 12:19pm)
  • If you’re not avoiding alcohol to save money what I usually do is pay for a nowtv sports pass which is as cheap as a couple of pints. But I also get BT sport free because of my phone contract so that covers most games! I’m on EE. Not sure if this is helpful but if not I hope you find a place! by MaryQofScots (Fri 5th Apr 2019 4:15pm)

  • If you’re just renting it’s pretty hard to find out who the factor is unless your neighbours own their flat and they know. Your landlord will have their details, it’s only really the factors responsibility if it is a problem for the whole building and still your landlord pays the factors fees. So if you contact the factor they probably can’t/ won’t do very much as it isn’t a communal issue. They will most likely say contact your landlord. Also it’s probably best to go directly to your landlord rather than the factors emailing him to say it’s his problem. I get that he might not want to pay for it but it is his responsibility and you pay rent for a functional flat. Just be firm but polite about it. by MaryQofScots (Mon 6th May 2019 1:11pm)
  • The issue may be also that to fix your one buzzer they need to replace the whole intercom system which would likely involve the people who own their properties in the building all having to pay out for it. It really depends on the intercom, how old it is how it was fitted and whether there are still parts for it. So it might be possible he is telling the truth that the building decided not to because yours is the only flat with the issue and they’d all be incurring a cost for something they don’t actually have an issue with. by MaryQofScots (Mon 6th May 2019 1:17pm)
  • That’s good and helpful, though if you need your landlord to contact them maybe not! by MaryQofScots (Mon 6th May 2019 1:39pm)
  • If it’s a communal issue but they sound pretty sure it’s just them by MaryQofScots (Mon 6th May 2019 3:25pm)

  • You've probably not heard of anyone with talent that hasn't sold their soul. Kinda a pre-requsite for people to actually know who you are. Anyway Noel is a grown ass man who cant handle being irrelevant and should know better. by MaryQofScots (Mon 15th Jul 2019 10:45pm)
  • Hope you savour that disappointment by MaryQofScots (Mon 15th Jul 2019 10:56pm)
  • Nah that's what capitalism wants you to believe, research suggests individual people can't really make enough change for the environment when governments and companies are out doing 90% of the damage. They want you to focus on your individual responsibility and not challenge the real fucked up system that has created the current issue by MaryQofScots (Tue 16th Jul 2019 8:33am)
  • Bit late to this someone might have said this but it is REALLY difficult to find somewhere to let that will let you have a cat in Glasgow. To the extent we couldn't get one until we bought. Good luck but definitely be having conversations about your pet, they can give you some pretty harsh punishments if you just have one in the flat without permission by MaryQofScots (Tue 16th Jul 2019 8:43am)
  • Everyone is responsible but when 90% of people do not give a flying fuck there's about 10% of people being collectively responsible for everyone else and that does nothing. I vote green and have a pretty decent carbon footprint. However, you can't make all individuals be responsible, my giving a shit doesn't make anyone else care. Also my carbon footprint is nothing in comparison to the whole of China and deforestation in Brazil and the impacts that is having on the environment, there is literally nothing I can do about that and even everyone in this country doing their bit can't overcome what is happening to the Amazon. My personal choices can never offset that. We need global change and that HAS to be political. We need everyone in every country to vote green. Now that isn't gonna happen, we need legislation to ensure that they won't make those products cos I'm sorry but poor people in poverty cannot afford Lush plastic free shampoo. That's some middle class bullshit. Most people will not ditch their car for an electric one. I'm sorry but me using a re-usable coffee cup and a water bottle doesn't offset some neighbour who even has a car. A lot of people do not have the choice even, if you are poor you just have to buy the cheapest thing. We should be legislating to prevent the production of these products so that the cheapest options are still ethical. That's not gonna happen, everyone being individual responsibility does nothing if some governments will give tax breaks to polluting companies in order to create jobs and improve their GDP in the short term and not give a fuck about the world. Every government and 90% of people of just in everything for themselves. Global politics needs to change, because companies just shift their manufacture to countries that WILL let them pollute and they still end up in our shops, just not produced in our country. by MaryQofScots (Tue 16th Jul 2019 9:33am)
  • Are you not ignoring the massive comment where i expanded on my points right below? Some individuals are responsible, I am but what about those who don't give a fuck or cant to afford to? I'm just saying there is no point expecting individuals alone to solve a problem that is global. I said it can't just be that alone it's not gonna work especially when the alternatives aren't realistic for those who don't live a middle-class life style. It's alright saying let's be responsible when China is responsible for shitloads of illegal emissions because the west have had their industrial revolution and want to impose sanctions on other which appear imperialist etc. I'm not being a cop out, if everyone in Britain had a zero carbon footprint it wouldn't save the environment, that's not enough The decline of cigarette consumption was largely because they used legislation to reinforce the public awareness. by MaryQofScots (Tue 16th Jul 2019 11:39am)
  • It was an example, no other political parties are suggesting the kind of widespread change that is necessary. I don't think the greens are a pantheon on the issues but certainly the conservatives are having a completely opposite effect. What I'm saying is, unless you make these things illegal people and create affordable choices people who don't have much money will still make decisions for their wallet and not the environment and for parties that won't cost them more money. What we need is a greater number of parties actually committed to widespread change on these issues who aren't pandering to companies. What good is it if we all quit meat if the rest of the world is still polluting away? As someone who doesn't eat meat, and tries to be as ethical as possible, quinoa is now unsustainable for the communities that relied on it and palm oil is in like every single dairy alternative to butter. Even if we are both super ethical what about the large amount of people who don't care? No amount of education is gonna stop the junkie tossing their rubbish into the clyde because they purposefully do not engage with these kinds of campaigns. I mean there is a comment in this thread even where some guy is taking the piss out of people who want to learn. I'm not saying all working class people won't either. But if we are talking about consumer choices they are the least likely to be able to afford the kind of individual responsibility that people ask for. We cant completely change the manufacturing industry as it goes beyond our borders. Cheap things that are bad from the environment will still end up on our shelves. You can't expect people struggling to feed their kids to spend more money on something that is meat-free for the environment. It's not realistic, instead of more choice we need to put an end to the worst choices. Someone in my building throws all the recycling bags I put on top of the overflowing recycling bin in the actual bin. I mean I can do my best but I think you're underestimating the sheer amount of people who are ambivalent, surely a large number of the comments on this thread make that point. I have a book on my shelf at home that I'll look out and I'll provide a reference for global climate experts themselves who have said that individual consumer choices don't do much difference while China, Brazil etc continue to do much more significant harm to the environment. They said we needed significant change and decisions well before now to stop a climate catastrophe, as far as I can see just hoping education is gonna solve it is a little bit late. All of these things take significant time that we don't really have. by MaryQofScots (Tue 16th Jul 2019 12:18pm)
  • That's a shame for you, that must ruin your day a lot. I personally never understood people being picky about language when a point is still valid. Especially someone who is willing to say 'fucking' and 'shite' but draws the line at 'douchebag' by MaryQofScots (Wed 17th Jul 2019 10:35pm)
  • There are a lot of gay bars in the city and the scene is varied Katie’s Bar, Del monicas, axm, polo. There are some parts of Glasgow I don’t hold hands with my GF but all cities have their dodgy bits and it’s pretty obvious I’m a lesbian anyway, the city centre is totally fine I see LGBTQ couples all the time and also the west end where Glasgow Uni is situated. If you want to hang out with other lesbians and make pals not in a night out kind of setting I would recommend Glasgow Women’s Library, good for research and my PhD is based there, always lots of students and lesbians. Would also recommend checking the Glasgow Free Pride Facebook page I think that was set up by some girls from Glasgow uni. I guess you maybe already know about the queer bookshop but that’s in the west end and is pretty good! I can think of anything else right now though! by MaryQofScots (Thu 1st Aug 2019 8:43am)

  • Yeah I know, I was just meaning like why do people even ask?! I also heard Instagram, surely if you're fond of it you'd already know reddit isn't really a go-to in order to get it 🤔 by MaryQofScots (Wed 21st Aug 2019 5:31pm)

  • It's massive it probably wouldn't even go on a seat and you cant have it in the walk way by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Sep 2019 10:16pm)
  • Some of these things are a little annoying. A lot of places have metal baskets though, maybe if it is super awkward to use, then you might need a trolley? The access if you aren't in a car isn't that bad if you use the subway. In fact I would argue that the reason it is so busy is because it is one supermarket basically on the subway line. Also if you hate it this much honestly I would suggest shopping somewhere else, there are so many better supermarkets to go to if you can drive and the main reason I use Partick morrisons is because I don't. In fact you could get an online shop from morrisons and it completely removes all the problems you have. Asda govan has massive aisles but you still get fannies blocking the whole space. I personally don't see them changing it to make more space, even though with my mobility issues it can be a pain. Mainly because they are trying to fit as much into a fairly small space to cater to as many shoppers as possible. by MaryQofScots (Sun 3rd Nov 2019 7:42pm)
  • The amount delivery costs is reduced depending on other people getting it in your area. Sometimes it is as little as a £1. But obviously if that's too expensive, if you spend £25 in icelands and they do free delivery. There is one at Hillhead but guessing if you dont have a subway pass then the subway might be too expensive as well so maybe that isn't such a good idea. You could also maybe try Lidl but that obviously won't have everything you need. Maybe you could try shopping in morrisons during the day, avoiding weekends and just after 5 etc. Though I'm sure reddit is the perfect place to canvass morrisons to get plastic baskets, given the fact that the world is waging a war on plastic though, you might just get a trolley. I cant imagine your lobbying is gonna be effective by the next time you do your shop at least. All very valid suggestions but I guess you maybe just want to complain. I do hope you find a shop ten minutes from your house, that fits all the specifications you deem important for a less annoying shop. by MaryQofScots (Sun 3rd Nov 2019 8:36pm)
  • 😂😂😂 by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 12:10pm)
  • Lol what an angle and this cant even be from the same day because there were so few unionists and the ones I saw were doing nazi salutes. by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 3:35pm)
  • Really? Do you any photos cos I've seen none in the hundreds of pictures of the saltire side and plenty of nazi salutes in pictures from the guys standing with union jacks by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 3:40pm)
  • I bet you are just wee pals with Alastair McConnachie who was leading the "unionist" group A Force For Good. Hilarious that unionists are so keen to throw nazi salutes even though they are supposed to be against fascism but that is probably because McConnachie is a right ring extremist and holocaust denier. Also only takes a cursory google search to see the violent unionists were also throwing nazi salutes after the first ref in Sept 14, hilariously not understanding the irony in their stupidity. by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 3:46pm)
  • I'm sorry no one who denies the holocaust is ever a "good guy". Imagine the state of unionists who actually side with Hitler, they are not good guys. Never heard of someone loving their country, the UK of all places, so much that they love Hitler. Can you not see that's messed up? How about I go one better and show you video? 2minutes 25 seconds you'll see some nazi salutes. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3VGGDgFHgUDt_b-02vUE_-Mlkw7Hism2GhGPipoSc0OYANVyVhzLnXzdU&v=KM7NL8XZc9w She's doing it while singing god save the queen which is actually baffling. Bottom left folks. by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 4:03pm)
  • Throwing nazi salutes while singing God save the queen is more like mocking the war dead do you not think? A load of those men died to stop Hitler while a bunch of so called unionists throw nazi salutes while singing God save the queen. You're mocking them more. Ironic and stupid. Still 2mins 25secs bottom left. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3VGGDgFHgUDt_b-02vUE_-Mlkw7Hism2GhGPipoSc0OYANVyVhzLnXzdU&v=KM7NL8XZc9w by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 4:16pm)
  • Wow, just wow. You're not impartial because you are sceptical and anyone with half a brain cell can comprehend the truth of it. For example, Otto Ohlendorf, one of the perpetrators, a commander of one of the Einsatzgruppen units, testified quite openly that between June 1941 and 1942 his Einsatzgruppe murdered 90,000 people. I could literally put in shit tonnes of evidence and you'd still deny it. One of those lazy people who are like "all this evidence is just forged" and use selective stupidity, very conveniently. Just, "I dont believe this because it doesnt fit my sad world view". I bet you guys are also flat earthers as well. No wonder there are so few unionists standing beside you because they all have a few more brain cells and understand supporting Hitler is kind of the opposite of what you're supposed to be doing. I'm gonna stop replying now because there is clearly no point but pretty sure your downvotes shows what people think and at least you've been revealed as one of those who think it is possible the holocaust didn't happen... 🙄 by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 4:37pm)
  • I didn't but it is priceless that you are an anti-vaxer as well. You're just proving my point. by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 5:28pm)
  • 😂😂😂 by MaryQofScots (Mon 4th Nov 2019 5:40pm)
  • It has seating and floor space. The floor is literally the only standing space and it sells pretty fast for gigs where it would be weird to see the band seated. https://www.thessehydro.com/floorplans You can also just google 'glasgow hydro inside' and see it. I'd recommend seeing if anyone is selling a standing ticket online - try the facebook event etc or decide if it is worth seeing them sitting down because the hydro definitely won't have anymore standing tickets left by MaryQofScots (Tue 5th Nov 2019 7:02pm)
  • Except labour can go into coalition with SNP and we won't have voted for a party that has been shit in Scotland since Iain Gray and is more concerned with Westminster than actually governing If you read their previous manifestos to scottish elections they mention Westminster more than Holyrood by MaryQofScots (Tue 12th Nov 2019 7:40pm)
  • This patter is better than OPs by MaryQofScots (Sat 14th Mar 2020 5:50pm)
  • I have asthma and a bunch of other health problems and I dont think it is dumb. Seen a lot of research saying a lot of 20-29 year olds will look and feel fine but be highly contagious and be passing it about so just staying home if you have a cough or fever isnt going to protect us. I'm social distancing for sure. What gets me is the sheer number and level of contradictory info out there all from doctors and experts on viruses. by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 5:40pm)
  • I dunno why people are down voting you, maybe they have health conditions and they are just scared. The narrative that only old and sick people will die is kind of shitty. But I totally get that people need to work. There is a petition to include self-employed people in the money promised by government which I would encourage everyone to sign it. https://petition.parliament.uk/signatures/78578109/verify?token=aLrDPFpsEJ_FaZP3YLXI The government need to make it possible for people to socially distance, it is their responsibility. by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 8:33pm)
  • I mean you definitely havent phrased it that nicely though considering that people others love and care about might die and that includes younger people with health conditions not just old people and old people are still valuable. Hope people are compassionate when you're old! by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 8:36pm)
  • I'm not saying that just maybe be less curt when you're talking about people's lives as if they are nothing 🙄 I'm not telling you to be homeless just use kinder words maybe. Like maybe your attitude and not your content is the issue... by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 9:19pm)
  • Ie "old people being alive isnt going to pay my bills" Could of just said I've got bills to pay and not just old people will die just be a bit nicer. I think you know what I mean by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 9:21pm)

  • People over 80 were more likely to vote remain and less likely to vote tory in scotland. Sense would say only avoid it if you possibly can. Also I'm 29 with asthma and an autoimmune condition and I didnt vote tory and please excuse if I feel like I have things I want to achieve still and find a cavalier attitude to other people's well-being upsetting by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 9:39pm)
  • It can give you a few problems if you're starting it up again but definitely better to take it by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 9:36pm)
  • Also OP is talking about going for a drink not work so this totally doesnt stand up unless you misread it by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 9:41pm)
  • I choose with compassion too and I didnt ask for thahis government but I'm also being punished and so are a bunch of old people who didnt vote for it either. You could have a kinder attitude. You can control how you treat other people. Voting isnt the only to exercise compassion thankfully we dont have a whole world of people who think the only nice this voting. Jesus. by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 9:48pm)
  • I never said that, you're being hyperbolic but you cant say everyone who dies deserves to die. You turned it into a thing about work this was about not going for a drink. Never said quit your job or dont go to work and no one here has said that to you. You're just being an asshole but from your first comment I'm not surprised have a nice life. by MaryQofScots (Sun 15th Mar 2020 10:04pm)

  • Why dont you help her out and watch the rest of the kids while she goes in the ambulance if you care so much? by MaryQofScots (Thu 19th Mar 2020 10:29am)
  • I have asthma and they always say call 999 if you cant breathe I honestly cant see why they and she wouldnt have phoned an ambulance. And why NHS24 would be giving contrary advice I take it she solved the problem though if you havent gone to look after the kids? by MaryQofScots (Thu 19th Mar 2020 10:56am)
  • Awesome, shared on twitter by MaryQofScots (Sun 12th Apr 2020 6:39pm)
  • Glasgow city council homelessness dept. 0800 838 502. I became homeless during corona virus. Had to stay in the alexander Thomson hotel on argyle street with lots of chaotic people, there was a fire - which was put out be we were out in the street at 2am and people were off their tits and fighting each other. Someone had overdosed and a guy he was with from another room decided the smartest thing to do was to set fire to the room. So he got arrested obviously. Another two people died their recently as well. Keep your bedroom door locked all the time and get the number of security from reception. by MaryQofScots (Sun 16th Aug 2020 10:54am)
  • Yeah I'm in a temporary flat just now, I have a disability and and it was not fit for purpose plus just quite a stressful experience in general. It honestly felt like a punishment for daring to be homeless but I was in foster care so I don't have any family support and I'm a student. I'm still waiting on money coming cos I wasn't entitled to anything previously cos my partner earned to much but it didnt mean they gave me money lol. The thing is if this wasnt during corona virus they would have been put on the street for failing to keep to the rules- no drugs, no alcohol, no one in your room. But they cant do that rn so they are just doing whatever they want as they know they're untouchable. Everyone smoked in their room like wtf. Honestly one guy offered to sell me a bunch of drugs and to go take them in his room. I saw someone be assaulted and split his head open. I've been afraid to speak up about my experiences because I'm worried it'll effect my ability to get permanent housing by MaryQofScots (Sun 16th Aug 2020 11:11am)
  • Yeah if we could change my voice/ not show my face I would be willing to talk about it. I knew the process would not be easy going but I didn't think it would be this bad! by MaryQofScots (Sun 16th Aug 2020 12:21pm)
  • Thank you! by MaryQofScots (Sat 31st Oct 2020 10:43pm)
  • Hi all thank you so much for all this good advice! Made some headway already and have a bed sorted! I honestly didnt expect such a big response and I really appreciate everyone who took the time to share their knowledge and help me out ❤ by MaryQofScots (Sun 1st Nov 2020 8:48am)
  • Thank you 🙏 by MaryQofScots (Sun 4th Apr 2021 2:01pm)
  • Thank you! I have been checking both but as most are pick up only and I’m disabled and don’t have a car (and some white van guys want £100 for picking up a £20 book case) it has been a bit tough but hopefully furniture places can maybe deliver 😊 by MaryQofScots (Sun 4th Apr 2021 2:01pm)
  • Amazing 🙌 thank you!! by MaryQofScots (Sun 4th Apr 2021 3:36pm)
  • Thank you I will phone breathing space! by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 6:44pm)
  • Mate come round tomorrow I’ll phone them again and you can have a listen. You’re right though it is ducking dangerous and I’m not okay. by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 6:43pm)
  • Sad but true. They promised to refer me to the community mental health team and then just haven’t done it. And I have experienced the referrals to places that then tell me they can’t help. Thank you for your advice! by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 6:46pm)
  • I’m respectful of the doctor. I want engagement with the mental health teams I’ve been begging my doctor for a referral due to ptsd. I’ve literally done everything suggested. I’m also not a doctor and if I knew what would help, I obviously wouldn’t be asking. We go to doctors because they are experts. But I love that you’ve come to tell someone mentally unwell they can’t get help and it must be their own fault. by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 8:25pm)
  • I am willing to engage, I want help. I don’t have a bad attitude, I’m respectful of the doctor. But my bad experiences are not exactly the same. I have ptsd and no amount of ‘what do you think would help’ is helpful when I’m not a doctor and I’m doing everything already suggested. I might be homeless but also doing a phd I’ve had some bad luck and things are tough. Everyone suicidal deserves to get support. by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 8:22pm)
  • I’m not blaming my GP for my suicidal ideation, I want help, that’s the reason we go to doctors and Samaritans had no idea what to do about my GP. I never blamed my GP. Someone who actually wants help shouldn’t be treated this way, anyone suicidal deserves help, but next time I’m feeling awful I’ll mind Reddit is indeed full of cunts. I actually can’t believe I was actually that desperate. Hope you get a good night’s sleep after so much hard work being a wank to strangers by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 8:30pm)
  • Thank you for being lovely! I’m so sorry about your friend, I have heard similar stories and it shouldn’t happen, so glad she is okay not . Someone has suggested a place I might be able to get counselling by DM so I hope that will yield some results. by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 8:37pm)
  • Sorry not lol at you just at how useless they are and also they are trying to throw me off the phd so I might not be able to access it. But hoping the university will understand how the department has failed to provide me with both the software and mental health support by MaryQofScots (Mon 31st May 2021 8:53pm)

  • Thank you! I actually called my doctor again today and I got a locum who referred me urgently to community mental health team. They had a nurse call me today and she had me allocated to someone to call in 5 days. They called today and I have an appointment at 2pm tomorrow so feeling relieved to know help is coming and pretty quickly by MaryQofScots (Tue 1st Jun 2021 6:44pm)
  • Hey, thank you for commenting! This is a helpful insight. I have tried many things and I have ptsd so I have been looking for a referral to community mental health for a year or so. Today I phoned again and got a locum who did this urgently and after speaking to a nurse, she said she would get me allocated and a call in 5 days. But the call came later today and I have an appointment tomorrow! by MaryQofScots (Tue 1st Jun 2021 6:50pm)
  • I stayed there when I became homeless in the pandemic after a relationship breakdown and I’ve never been more scared for my life. Thankfully have a job and a nice place now but it literally triggered my ptsd. Two people died while I was there, I was told I had to stay there and couldn’t stay with friends if I wanted to get a house. My window didn’t lock and there was a wee terrace that led to other rooms and people tried to open my door every night. One night someone died, and the fire brigade were called while we were in the street people were taking drugs and a bunch of people assaulted a guy. by MaryQofScots (Thu 4th Aug 2022 11:09pm)

  • Bacp.co.uk has a list of trained and registered counsellors and you can search ones who have experience with marriage. Defo recommend someone who has the correct training my pal went to a marriage counsellor after her husband cheated and she told her to get a gastric band which is some real bs. by MaryQofScots (Sun 23rd Oct 2022 12:35am)

  • I’m not sure you’re hitting on what irony is but I won’t argue that I’m being a bellend. But not really that surprising if you have complex ptsd and one of the triggers has literally been constant for the 3-4 days and in broad daylight (especially when it that is particularly pointless) you might be acting like a bellend. It changes the way you act as a person. by MaryQofScots (Sun 6th Nov 2022 10:24am)
  • I’ve never had bin men at 4.30 There were people doing it until 4.30 this morning south side the point is it isn’t a little disturbance at 11.15 one a year. It’s been going on since Thursday. Also during broad daylight this weekend the whole time. Some people might use fireworks reasonable but not everyone. People are saying banned from public sale, but not officially organised events. Firefighters being attacked and say it is the worst day of their year: https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-news/firefighters-attacked-20-youths-fireworks-25447088.amp This across the streets in 2020 south side https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/idiot-yobs-shoot-each-firework-22967807.amp And it is exhausting that no one care about emergency services, people actually not being attacked and maimed people with ptsd, dementia or animals - that none of this matters people don’t matter and fireworks are more important. That’s pretty unreal imo by MaryQofScots (Sun 6th Nov 2022 6:59pm)

  • Yeah I saw a documentary where they said if you put your hand on a girl’s waist while dancing you would have known, confirmed by women who wore them at this time. He probs danced with a bunch of women until he found his target. I’m guessing he thought menstruating women were disgusting (obviously dumb) and he was ‘bible’ John and the Old Testament does say stuff like having sex with women on their periods is ‘unclean’, like you said they weren’t out looking for sex or whatever but it is just likely he had a hatred for women, thought pretty awful things about us, I’m sure he thought dancing and leaving with him was justification in his mind that was them asking for it and punished them in a way he thought was fitting and was awful to everyone else! by MaryQofScots (Wed 16th Nov 2022 11:30pm)
  • This guy and Peter Tobin were just murdering pieces of shit and they are bullshit excuses, but I guess “I’m a shitebag and I kill people for sick kicks” isn’t how the fantasy land in their head plays out. We know that’s the reality though. I would defo want to know we got the right person and proper justice for the person I loved. I really wish they got the guy, I agree he’s probably dead. I know most people don’t want companies like 23&me giving the police access to their dna but seems to have solved a lot of old cold cases in the US. In a couple of cases if the person responsible was dead, some family members commented that it at least provided some answers. by MaryQofScots (Wed 16th Nov 2022 11:58pm)
  • My brother did this when he had problems. He was fine because he could prove he was withholding the rent to get essential works done. It was advised to put it in a separate account and make a payment every month that was exactly the cost of rent. • Covid 19 destroys T cells which seek out and destroy bacteria and viruses and also prevents less experienced ones from understanding which threats to destroy. It takes months to get them back. It’s unreal, that’s why colds are flooring people and why Strep A is so wild rn, it’s also been know since summer 2020. • It isn’t about covid, it is just an article about T cell regeneration, I’ve posted the bit in the article about how long it takes them to come back. Covid destroys them and so do other things like leukaemia but it always takes that long for them to come back regardless of the source of the destruction. “While it may take up to 6 months to 1 year in the young to recover T cells with a wide T cell receptor (TCR) repertoire, it may take years in adult patients to witness evidence of new T cell generation, if ever (16–18)” by MaryQofScots (Sat 17th Dec 2022 11:57pm)
  • Vitamin D, vitamin c and garlic apparently! by MaryQofScots (Sun 18th Dec 2022 12:04am)
  • If you read through the comments someone asked about T cell regeneration and it talks about that. T cell are destroyed by covid. T cells are also destroyed by other things such as cancer treatment regardless of the source of destruction - cancer treatments/ viral infection - it takes the same amount of time for T cells to come back. I’m not sure why that’s hard to understand and I’ve explained it in the previous comments. The second article mentions how long it takes for T cells to come back and if a reference for that, T cell destruction isn’t only a covid thing and I even said it doesn’t reference covid in that article by MaryQofScots (Sun 18th Dec 2022 9:22am)
  • It really isn’t the first article talks about covid and T cell destruction and makes a clear link between the two. I already did that. Are you missing something here?! Literally my first comment has that link and here it is again. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fimmu.2020.00827/full?utm The second person asked how long T cells take to come back. Want to just read it the whole thread through properly? by MaryQofScots (Sun 18th Dec 2022 9:32am)
  • It is a massive contributing factor and few things kill T cells in a way this way - it’s like leukaemia and chemo. It is a massive deal. If you are in poverty the effect will be substantially worse. You will be more likely to die from infections. They are factors but it doesn’t change the fact that the extreme vulnerability is already there. People are saying this because there are doctors all over Twitter saying it and citing these sources. It is a public health crime that this stuff isn’t more known but if it was they would have to do something and no one wants restrictions or masks. by MaryQofScots (Sun 18th Dec 2022 9:41am)
  • Yeah the article talks about something else but it also says as a fact that it takes that long for T cells to come back regardless of the source of destruction and links to two articles at that support this. Also just google it, it comes up. I’ve just cited an academic paper. Just because you are too lazy to actually read the article to see what’s relevant inside and just want to read the title. You can link an article about something else if it states a relevant fact in it. Do you not understand referencing?! Here is one specifically about covid that says it takes 6-9months. https://www.manchester.ac.uk/discover/news/covid-19-immunity-how-long-does-it-last/ by MaryQofScots (Sun 18th Dec 2022 10:50am)
