  • The Berlin markets are amazing, so are Munich and Vienna's too. Edinburgh obviously a good and much cheaper alternative to get to though by angelange17 (Thu 28th Oct 2021 12:40am)
  • I've been looking in Hamilton and put a few offers in. Absolutely no joy at all. Folk are putting in 40K over for houses. Lots of flat's though as noone wants them. by angelange17 (Wed 3rd Nov 2021 7:04pm)
  • Soo many cyclists cannot seem to use cycle lanes properly. Nearly collided with a few going the wrong way. Big obvious AF arrows on some of them too... by angelange17 (Sun 7th Nov 2021 11:31pm)
  • I rent in Hamilton and my rent has never went up, but unfortunately my neighbours are nutters lol. I used to commute into Glasgow, takes about 30 mins on train. I also like being close to the parks too for execise by angelange17 (Wed 10th Nov 2021 4:03pm)
  • Yup I really struggle with SAD too by angelange17 (Sun 14th Nov 2021 1:53am)
  • As an apparent 'older lady' I have never heard of any of these places lol by angelange17 (Tue 16th Nov 2021 11:03pm)
  • Same. I've never even contemplated going through a red light. Horrible behaviour. I'm glad your son is OK! by angelange17 (Mon 17th Jan 2022 12:38am)
  • Most of them have cars, or at the very least took driving lessons. So most will definitely know the rules of the road if that's what you mean by 'training' by angelange17 (Mon 17th Jan 2022 12:47am)
  • Well yes if you are DRIVING.... by angelange17 (Mon 17th Jan 2022 12:59am)
  • The delivery cyclists are definitely a problem in town. They have absolute no idea how to use a cycle lane either, I've had some nearly colliding with me as they were going in the wrong direction. Also they seem to use their phones a lot whilst cycling.... by angelange17 (Mon 17th Jan 2022 1:08am)
  • Parseq call centre. Working with them destroyed my mental health. Management had absolutely no empathy, made it out as if Iif having an anxiety breakdown was equivalent to catching a bad cold and regularly pulled me into meetings. They literally held the door open for me when I finally quit. by angelange17 (Wed 2nd Feb 2022 12:32am)
  • I've never been able to get into festivals due to the sheer amount of money I'd need to pay to see the 3/4 bands I like....that are all playing on different days. This is no exception by angelange17 (Mon 14th Feb 2022 9:25pm)
  • I wish more sellers were like you :) by angelange17 (Wed 16th Feb 2022 4:24pm)
  • We've been outbid 5 times in the last year because sooo many people were going for the same properties. Still haven't secured anything :( by angelange17 (Wed 16th Feb 2022 4:22pm)
  • Wait til you get the train past Dalmarnock by angelange17 (Sat 19th Feb 2022 8:46pm)
  • Used to meet folk in the catty all the time who went in alone. Don't know what it's like now, not been in about 3 years by angelange17 (Sun 27th Feb 2022 1:56am)
  • Must have changed since I signed my agreement. I was only hoping to stay somewhere for a month or two, I just wasn't sure if going down the agreement route would make sense for such a short time by angelange17 (Wed 2nd Mar 2022 10:31pm)
  • I'm moving to a upper cottage flat and forgot it's got wooden flooring. Might need to get some good rugs soon! by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 12:30am)
  • Sounds awful. I live in a block of flats and had a lot of issues with neighbours including the rubbish lying all over the communal garden. Had made me and my partner miserable. Finally leaving in a few months, really tried to get a house but no luck so it's another flat but we have our own private garden, driveway and doorway and not as many neighbour, so hopefully not as much drama. I really hope you can get out. In meantime call the council noise complaint team and whoever the team is that deals with tipping by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 1:02am)
  • Funny enough it's the Romanians that don't know how to use a bin in our building by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 1:10am)
  • That sounds stressful. My upstairs neighbours are awful, I really don't want to be like them at all. They thud about all day everyday, there's being heavy footed and there's being delibrate and they are definitely doing it on purpose. I think they must have wooden flooring too. by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 9:23pm)
  • I much prefer carpets, for some reason it always encourages me to take off my shoes lol. Will probably get the place done once I've been there a while by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 9:27pm)
  • Oh well that's not too bad then if they are at least nice (apart from getting woken up so early) but I hope whoever moves in has older children or no children so you get some peace lol. Unfortunately our upstairs neighbours (with older children) are just awful rude people who will argue with you in hallways when all you want to know is why they make so much noise/throw stuff about at anti social hours. Plus they dump their rubbish in the garden like its normal. When we asked why they couldn't just put it in the bin, they totally blanked us. Oh and they leave the security doors open all the time.... Can't wait to leave! by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 9:41pm)
  • Ah sorry I mis read your comnent! Long day lol. Good luck with the move :) by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 9:56pm)
  • Easier said than done though. Been trying to buy a house for more than a year, outbid on everything so now getting another flat(upper cottage flat). A lot of folk in same position as competition for houses is so fierce and folk are bidding like 30% over which unfortunately some ain't going to be able to cover by angelange17 (Mon 14th Mar 2022 10:17pm)
  • Im employed with them, I don't recall the application or the interview being that bad, just a few questions. Its definitely worth it once you get in the door :) by angelange17 (Thu 17th Mar 2022 12:11am)
  • Me and my partner ended up doing that. Wanted a semi detached but now getting a cottage flat but we are SO over renting and it looks a decent place so I'm sure we'll be much happier than renting a flat that's literally falling apart now. by angelange17 (Thu 17th Mar 2022 12:15am)
  • I think folk have been tortured enough in the last two years lol by angelange17 (Thu 17th Mar 2022 12:24am)
  • You really don't need to cut out anything, just get a new job where you get better incentives and a better rate of pay for what you do now and you'll not need to scrimp. We still managed to afford a deposit AND go places and eat what we want. NHS does have a decent salary even on lower bands :) by angelange17 (Thu 17th Mar 2022 12:19am)
  • Oh god I actually hate walking down Buchanan Street now for that reason. How do people working there actually put up with that by angelange17 (Sun 20th Mar 2022 11:00pm)
  • Oh I remember hearing serious shit about roaccutane and I refused to take it. Luckily a change to lower hormone birth control in my mid 20s really helped my acne. However, 10 years later I'm too anxious to come off it incase my acne comes back with a vengeance (it was really bad and also on my chest and shoulders) by angelange17 (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 11:46pm)
  • That's where I am moving to!!! 😀 by angelange17 (Sun 27th Mar 2022 11:23pm)
  • Well done, had to pay 12k over for my flat in Lanarkshire. Still haven't even signed the deeds yet as need to make sure the roof is OK. Madness having to pay so much over HR and possibly more for a repair. On a positive note it has a private garage and garden 😁 by angelange17 (Sun 27th Mar 2022 11:21pm)
  • My neighbours think the garden is the bin too by angelange17 (Tue 12th Apr 2022 9:52pm)
  • That happened with me too, also the sellers accepted offer that was less than the initial offer. Just as well as been outbid on everything else up to that point and was getting really down hearted and stressed out. by angelange17 (Wed 13th Apr 2022 6:11pm)
  • Most of the commuter towns are really expensive, few towns in Lanarkshire have went up by 20-30k in the last 2 years. by angelange17 (Wed 13th Apr 2022 6:17pm)
  • I don't personally live with a dog but my family's dog who lives with my parents and brother fills me with so much happiness. If I am ever having a crap day I can go round and pet him, take him a walk, bring him treats. Might sound pathetic to some but he is also family but he's getting old now and this makes me sad 😔 by angelange17 (Thu 21st Apr 2022 11:03pm)
  • I second this, running and cycling are very good for clearing your head, or just any exercise tbh! Those two seem to help me out :) by angelange17 (Thu 21st Apr 2022 11:13pm)
  • I don't live there but I mind I was cycling down the south side, took a wrong turn and had about 10 guys just staring at me awkwardly as I was walking (practically running) down near Allision Street with the bike. by angelange17 (Sun 24th Apr 2022 1:40am)
  • This is so interesting and I'm also happy to see that I am hopefully moving to a blue area 😁 by angelange17 (Sun 24th Apr 2022 11:06pm)
  • I done my knee in cycling up there the other week. Didn't even have my phone to take any photos 🙃 by angelange17 (Fri 29th Apr 2022 12:33am)
  • I've gave up trying to drive. I failed my test a few times years ago but all this covid bs has made it near impossible to find an instructor and now my theory has ran out. I now feel too ancient to start trying again. I would only need to use a car once a week now, absolutely pointless consider how expensive it is by angelange17 (Fri 29th Apr 2022 12:49am)
  • What's worse is paying way over HR and then finding out the place is fulla problems. I've put in an offer for a place that didn't even get planning permission for an extension. Being told by solicitor to hang off signing anything until the seller can prove local authority are OK with this. Just prolonging the process even more. by angelange17 (Sat 30th Apr 2022 2:09pm)
  • Kinda getting fed up being put in the same category as idiot cyclists tbh. I'm actually not an arsehole cyclist but since I own and use a bike it feels like everyone else treats me like I'm the same by angelange17 (Sat 7th May 2022 10:33pm)
  • The only way I got rid of moths for good was to get the entire flat recarpeted, they had ate huge chunks out of carpet underneath the bed and drawers by angelange17 (Fri 13th May 2022 11:50pm)
  • Went to the one in Manchester with my partner over the weekend. There was no bouncers on door and it seemed super chill. Wonder why they are making such a big deal on an empty Monday night by angelange17 (Wed 25th May 2022 1:30am)
  • There's a seagull couple nesting right across the road from me, they better behave themselves 😆 by angelange17 (Sun 19th Jun 2022 10:34pm)
  • Took me and my partner over a year of failed offers to land a four in a block top flat. Its got a few teething issues but nothing we can't deal with. Glad we didn't end up getting a new build as would have struggled with the mortgage payments. by angelange17 (Mon 20th Jun 2022 11:56pm)
  • I've seen activists with signs near Barclays in both Edinburgh and Glasgow at the weekend. One of them was about them using fossil fuel or something by angelange17 (Tue 21st Jun 2022 12:04am)
  • Their Waffles are good! by angelange17 (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 11:34pm)
  • Wouldn't that start the whole argument that cyclists should also have provisional license? FYI I do have a provisional license but never managed to pass my driving test but its made cycling on the road a lot easier as I know the road rules. But there will be folk who don't drive or have ever done lessons, especially if they are teenagers, using bikes and scooters by angelange17 (Sun 26th Jun 2022 1:20pm)
  • Our landlord had to replace our entire carpet few years ago due to an infestation, they ate big chunks outta it but didn't go anywhere near our clothes lol by angelange17 (Sun 26th Jun 2022 1:55pm)
  • This is happened in many areas outside Glasgow too. The town centre shopping areas in Hamilton and East Kilbride are dire but the retail parks are booming by angelange17 (Sat 9th Jul 2022 10:42am)
  • Put in 10% over a top floor cottage flat in March without it going to closing date. That was in Lanarkshire though but there are still folk putting in crazy offers out this way too. by angelange17 (Mon 11th Jul 2022 11:39am)
  • I've been fixed into a really good mortgage rate but got a few friends who are now at the end of their fixed term seeing their payments soar up. But I guess higher mortgage rates will stop all the crazy high bids?? by angelange17 (Mon 11th Jul 2022 11:45am)
  • Prob need closer to 30k tbh 😕 by angelange17 (Thu 14th Jul 2022 10:52pm)
  • I wish I could stop drinking, i used to have a bit of a problem with it in my 20s, but now I only have a few at the weekend to help me unwind after working all week. I don't really go 'out' drinking now but I did on Saturday and I just struggled to have more than a few beers lol I more just want to cut it out for health/diet reasons as I'm trying to lose some weight. Non alcoholic beer does have a lot less calories, and some are really nice but I don't think I could drink it all the time. by angelange17 (Mon 18th Jul 2022 1:05pm)
  • Had a cuppa, still boiling 😆 by angelange17 (Mon 18th Jul 2022 3:37pm)
  • I was thinking this as well whilst getting stressed out on skyscanner the other day. Even at that, I don't think the flights from Edinburgh are particularly good anymore either, it's high season yet the places I'd like to go to have flights on really odd days/times. Might need to hold off until October or later by angelange17 (Sat 30th Jul 2022 12:47am)
  • I feel like the only one who doesn't do this. Just waiting at the red light like an utter moron by angelange17 (Mon 1st Aug 2022 7:06pm)
  • Lots of free ones in my work but prob wouldn't be able to send you one on time :( by angelange17 (Mon 1st Aug 2022 10:26pm)
  • My family won the lottery and the rest is history by angelange17 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 12:43am)
  • Sucks that the cathouse can't be moved to another street by angelange17 (Fri 5th Aug 2022 11:24pm)
  • Not so much the rain, but definitely the slightly cooler temperature. Although I'm glad my garden plants got a good watering 😁 by angelange17 (Mon 15th Aug 2022 11:20pm)
  • Yes literally everywhere including the bathroom and bedrooms. Stressed me out no end! Tried everything including the apple cider vinegar trap, which worked a bit but there was still LOADS. Went mad and bought drain cleaner and rentokil insect spray last night. Cleaned every room, sprayed the insect stuff round the windows. Woke up today, zero flies anywhere!!! So yes I believe they were laying eggs in the drains. by angelange17 (Tue 16th Aug 2022 10:24pm)
  • I had to move some of my plants into the garage as I didn't know if they were breeding in them. Funny enough they don't go near my basil or mint plant. by angelange17 (Tue 16th Aug 2022 10:29pm)
  • I just poured it into an open jar and they just went in and drowned đŸ¤Ŗ by angelange17 (Tue 16th Aug 2022 10:26pm)
  • Its the deliveroo cyclists tbh, I actually hate going into the city centre because of them (and I'm a cyclist lol). I've has taxi drivers roll down their windows and applaude me for following basic road rules đŸ¤Ŗ by angelange17 (Wed 17th Aug 2022 11:56pm)
  • Aren't they allowed to walk on shared cycle lane?? by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 12:00am)
  • I've seen about 10 cars doing it this week alone by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 12:09am)
  • Hope the new 'proposed' bike licensing plates are long enough to damage the stupid cunts in vans paintwork who are passing dangerously close. Honestly the shit I've read today I fear for humanity đŸ¤Ŗ by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 12:06am)
  • And go where exactly? Have you seen the state of the cycle lanes recently by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 12:14am)
  • I tried this with spiders and I swear they just laughed at me đŸ¤Ŗ by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 12:18am)
  • Yeah OK I'll just call my boss and tell them I cant come to the office because I'm only allowed to cycle round the park. Away you go pal đŸ¤Ŗ by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 8:55pm)
  • Me and my partner were doing alright but now he's been taken off nightshift (he had no say in it) so the wages will be going down but the bills going up. I hope it doesn't impact us too much but you can't help but worry with all this doom and gloom gas prices etc by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 9:08pm)
  • Also why do you honestly care đŸ¤Ŗ by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 11:24pm)
  • If you knew where my work was you'd know it is far easier and cheaper to cycle. I don't need to pay a penny. Which is great considering there's a cost of living crisis going on and drastic changes need to be made to stop the earth literally burning. How much do you pay to get to work? by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 11:22pm)
  • To be fair you very much strike me as the type of person who argues that cyclists should be paying 'Road Tax' (yawn) or stay off the road. Fully knowing that all Tax payers pay for the roads regardless. You know those narcissistic, I'm better than you because I pay too much for my unnecessary jeep types. by angelange17 (Thu 18th Aug 2022 11:33pm)
  • Good job literally noone cares what you think then. Also tough luck because its the law and we will continue to use the road. by angelange17 (Fri 26th Aug 2022 11:10pm)
  • Brilliant, I'll give them a nosey 😀 by angelange17 (Tue 30th Aug 2022 4:07pm)
  • I seen them earlier but I think they just do ladder access ☚ but I've emailed them anyway see what they say! by angelange17 (Tue 30th Aug 2022 4:34pm)
  • OK Tory by angelange17 (Wed 31st Aug 2022 9:06pm)
  • Last year I cycled into Edinburgh following the national cycle route, it was going well until I got way past Livingstone and there was this road only part, a few miles out of Edinburgh, that was literally up a steepish hill on a country road with no pavement/path. I was really tired from my long cycle and struggled to climb the hill. I had to get off and push the bike on this really dodgy road, i didn't like it at all. This was supposed to be a NCR too but it would have been nice to have a pavement option on that part just for safety reasons. by angelange17 (Wed 31st Aug 2022 9:14pm)
  • Its actually putting me off doing my driving test again. I sat my test way before covid (failed few times because my mental health was a total riot at times, I was on random meds and I wasn't focused). Since driving lessons etc sort of back to normal now, I was gonna give it another go, but I keep witnessing SO many folk that cannot drive correctly and are totally reckless, I think I'd be totally on edge all the time :( at least on my bike I can use cycle lanes. by angelange17 (Wed 31st Aug 2022 9:22pm)
  • I don't agree with all the deliveroo bikers that literally weave in and out of folk in the most busiest streets in town. They are getting paid to endanger pedestrian. by angelange17 (Wed 31st Aug 2022 9:25pm)
  • I really dislike the primark there. You'd think it would be decent because of the size but I take a straight up panic attack just entering the door and have to leave by angelange17 (Sun 4th Sep 2022 3:19pm)
  • The only thing good about it is it is very close to both IKEA and Decathlon, so if I don't get IKEA food it's close by for lunch 😄 by angelange17 (Sun 4th Sep 2022 3:22pm)
  • The shop is just straight up chaos. The one in Argyle Street is worse though 😆 by angelange17 (Mon 5th Sep 2022 8:25am)
  • Haha indeed it is but I can't handle it anymore by angelange17 (Mon 5th Sep 2022 10:49am)
  • Its just their cars by angelange17 (Tue 6th Sep 2022 8:54am)
  • Where do you get this? Big spiders somehow keep getting in through the teeny wee gaps in my door and are giving me panic attacks on the daily! I don't care what anyone says, i don't want to share a house with them :( by angelange17 (Fri 16th Sep 2022 3:27pm)
  • Yeah I feel dire right now but keep testing negative. My partner did have it so I'm expecting it to be covid but at same time how many damn tests do I need to do 😭 running out of free ones too by angelange17 (Mon 19th Sep 2022 9:18pm)
  • Get carnivorous plants, they are awesome for catching flies. by angelange17 (Mon 3rd Oct 2022 6:56pm)
  • Two coffees and half a red bull, my meds are kicking my ass right now and making me super tired :( by angelange17 (Thu 6th Oct 2022 5:12pm)
  • Ach they are OK, they just stay out the way in their webs, unlike the massive wandering house spiders 😨 by angelange17 (Sun 9th Oct 2022 10:23pm)
  • To be fair I stayed a few miles out of Glasgow and didn't start using the train until I was 15/16, before that I think I was only on a train one or twice with my parents đŸ˜Ŧ by angelange17 (Mon 10th Oct 2022 9:28am)
  • Me and my partner have a combined income of 45k a year and have no kids, not really got any money problems only debt is my credit card, and well mortgage I guess but it's totally affordable as we are fixed in for a few more years. We can still afford to go on holiday, have days out, takeaways etc. by angelange17 (Mon 10th Oct 2022 8:29pm)
  • Paid just over 400 quid a month for a 2 bed flat that had lived in for years. Moved out this year as me and my partner bought a house, the flat was put up for 600 quid a month. The place was a mess, it was full of problems and had horrible neighbours. Anytime we pass it, it looks empty. No doubt so many poor quality flats being put up for ridiculous amounts by greedy landlords. by angelange17 (Sun 16th Oct 2022 11:11pm)
  • As a runner and a cyclist, I prefer the bike because I have an issue with my toe, and sometimes it gets bad and the pain goes all down my foot. However, I spent a lot of money getting better supported running shoes and it's now getting a (bit) better. Don't want to give up running but sometimes it's a bitch for aches and pains by angelange17 (Fri 21st Oct 2022 6:14pm)
  • Literally came on here to try and find out the same thing 😆 they were in Motherwell & Hamilton by angelange17 (Fri 9th Dec 2022 9:40pm)
  • Aw gutted to hear that, I really liked their burgers but haven't been for a while by angelange17 (Wed 18th Jan 2023 9:32am)
  • I'm a cyclist, well not so much during the winter, but not going on twitter really helps my wellbeing lol by angelange17 (Tue 31st Jan 2023 8:33pm)
  • Its not that easy to get a driving license, I failed three times (mainly because of nerves). I also know a few folk like myself who have tried and gave up. I don't think it's anything to do with recent new drivers, it's probably experienced drivers that have been driving for so long they really don't care anymore. And there's not enough police or cameras around to report dangerous driving. If pedestrians really had no road awareness, I'm pretty sure there would be multiple instances per day!! by angelange17 (Thu 9th Feb 2023 3:46pm)
  • Used to go there all the time when I was doing my remote distance diploma, makes me want to start studying again 😄 by angelange17 (Fri 26th May 2023 6:07pm)
  • They need to redevelop Hamilton Town centre too, it's the exact same, most business happening at the retail parks now by angelange17 (Sat 27th May 2023 1:16am)
  • I'm gutted I live so far outside Glasgow I can't hear anything :( lol by angelange17 (Mon 26th Jun 2023 2:15pm)
  • Im sorry you are going through this ☚ī¸ I feel your pain. I also believe that has happened to me but all I've had is an anxiety and depression diagnosis and now on tablets that do nothing but make me extremely fatigued and unfocused (seriously, trying to do my admin job is a nightmare now), I also made the mistake of stopping them before, which was not good. I honestly had no idea what ADHD was properly until TikTok, I honestly thought it was a hyperactivity and/or learning disorder, that's how little its discussed in adults, especially females 🤔 by angelange17 (Mon 7th Aug 2023 5:50pm)
  • Yeah thats a good thing, I now feel stuck on these tablets as I tried to come off them, only to end up straight back on due to relapsing and feeling like total shit. I hardly even get anxiety or depressive symptoms now but I seem to have even worse ADHD type symptoms (so it could be the anxiety was worse and I didn't notice the other symptoms before - or it was for a lack of understanding). Infact my anxiety was so bad last year I was convinced I had OCD. Who are you getting your private assessment with? Sorry if you mentioned this on the discussion! by angelange17 (Tue 8th Aug 2023 10:21am)
  • It was fantastic, great atmosphere, the Danish and Belguim folk seemed to be having a ball 😄 I think folk that live here genuinely love a moan sometimes! Its not like this happens very much. Looking forward to going to the track cycling tonight too 😀 by angelange17 (Tue 8th Aug 2023 11:26am)
  • This is why I stick to the cycle lanes in the city, there's not really much need to be on the roads in the town with the cycling infrastructure that is in place. The just eat cyclists that fire down the pavements at full speed are the worst, why aren't they getting fined??!! by angelange17 (Thu 17th Aug 2023 9:59am)
  • I'm looking after the in laws dog and now everyone in the street probably thinks I'm a nutter after she ran out the garden and half way down the street, whilst I'm trying to run after without a bra on screaming my head off 😏 That's how you don't make pals 😆 by angelange17 (Fri 18th Aug 2023 10:53am)
  • Parseq as well, management and HR were a bunch of bullies that gave zero fucks about health and wellbeing by angelange17 (Thu 21st Sep 2023 10:26pm)
  • I temped with them on and off for a few months, didn't notice any of this but then again I was employed through an agency to cover sick leave etc, so that's maybe why I was there for as long rather than the initial week 😄 by angelange17 (Thu 21st Sep 2023 10:30pm)
  • Went a long walk and took lots of photos, had a great day in the snow 😁❄ī¸ by angelange17 (Sat 2nd Dec 2023 9:47pm)
