  • Grants on bellgrove street right by the station, may not do haggis rolls, but THEY HAVE THE BEST TATTIE SCONES in my humble opinion! Might not be a helpful answer but everyone needs to know lol by cuddlesRT75 (Sun 22nd Aug 2021 11:23am)
  • No worries by cuddlesRT75 (Sun 22nd Aug 2021 11:53am)
  • My old colleague has a naija promotions company that puts on lots of stuff in Glasgow. Don't know if anythings going on currently but take a look. I used to work at his nights in the old Milan nightclub and they were always awesome. https://instagram.com/legantertainment?utm_medium=copy_link by cuddlesRT75 (Wed 17th Nov 2021 1:31pm)
  • Hey man, sorry to hear your news. I've seen from some previous posts you enjoy your gaming. I'm (32m) on pc but happy to jump onto any crossplay games, saw you'd mentioned borderlands 3, to shoot the shit etc. DM me anytime bro by cuddlesRT75 (Wed 24th Nov 2021 11:05am)
  • Sorry pal no crutches, but if it's that bad then a trip to the docs is probably the best bet. I tried to tough out a badly twisted ankle as a teenager and ended up knackering it for the rest of time as it didn't heal right by cuddlesRT75 (Fri 11th Feb 2022 9:41am)
  • Yeah I think I'm going to go with the estate agents. Any you'd suggest? I'm completely new to this thing by cuddlesRT75 (Tue 15th Feb 2022 11:07pm)
  • There's a bit of me that really hopes you are Stephen from vanilla square! If so it's a fine bit of self promotion 😜 by cuddlesRT75 (Wed 16th Feb 2022 12:23pm)
  • We'll just incase you are I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday! But I. All seriousness thanks for the recommendation, the woman that called me to arrange was brilliant so good first impressions from the company by cuddlesRT75 (Wed 16th Feb 2022 5:27pm)
  • Update as promised. Steven was excellent. Very friendly and not pushy in the slightest. Gave great information on what needs doing. And the value has definitely improved in our favour since buying :) thanks again for your advice by cuddlesRT75 (Tue 22nd Feb 2022 2:24pm)
  • Done, good luck on your dissertation by cuddlesRT75 (Tue 1st Mar 2022 1:38pm)
  • Yes it's in a nice bit of town family will be fine, with a walkway taking you safely past the expressway into Partick. Depending on which flats you're in I'd say absolute max 15 min slow walk to Partick train station where there's trains to Edinburgh at least every half hour during the week. Or was at least last time I lived out that way by cuddlesRT75 (Wed 2nd Mar 2022 11:42am)
  • Second this, they're really good in here. My beard fell out during chemo then grew back in really messed up. Nathan at badlands has been helping me get it back to close to it's old glory by cuddlesRT75 (Mon 9th May 2022 10:09am)
  • Just sold with them in August. Excellent agency. Steven the managing director is fantastic helpful and very friendly. The rest of the team, especially Gemma (this is who we dealt with) were phenomenal. Cannot recommend highly enough by cuddlesRT75 (Sat 24th Sep 2022 4:47pm)
  • Tipping here is a mixed bag. Some people have watched too much US Tele and think it has to be done. But unlike us servers there is a minimum wage etc so our servers aren't reliant on tips to survive. (please note I am not saying min wage is good but merely pointing out the massive difference between the us and UK system) Most people I know would tip around 10% if the service was good. And by good I mean very good. As for bar staff, I tend to round up to the nearest full pound, eg round is £9 I'll tell them to keep the change on the £10. But once again no need to do this for the reasons above. The only other people I might tip would be delivery drivers and taxis on the same style as bar staff. by cuddlesRT75 (Tue 18th Oct 2022 9:51am)
  • Not trying to be that guy but that's on your employer to resolve. Not the patrons by cuddlesRT75 (Tue 18th Oct 2022 10:52am)
  • How though? How is it the patrons responsibility to make up min wage to living wage. That is 100% on the employer. by cuddlesRT75 (Tue 18th Oct 2022 2:03pm)
  • Millport is a nice wee trip. Train to largs Ferry across Bus takes you around the island but there plenty of cycle hire places which I strongly recommend. Weather permitting by cuddlesRT75 (Thu 20th Oct 2022 11:14am)
  • Internet can take up to 14 days to set up so it's worth looking at providers and services now. Some will be able to connect you sooner Council tax just go to the GCC website and that'll let you register. Right now you may want to phone them so that you can set up for 4 installments rather than just 2 usually they give you Feb and march as a payment break but with cost of living etc it may be easier for you to spread this through Feb and march as well. Can always go back to the 10 installments from march if you want Utilities stuff is cracked at the moment. Most places aren't letting you swap leccy/gas providers as there's not much point currently so when you find out who it's currently with contact then to say you are now the owner and to set up billing and DO NOT FORGET TO GIVE METER READINGS! Also leccy and gas shouldn't be shut off, unless they're on a pre-pay meter without credit. So they should just be working when you enter If you get a lot of post or are waiting on anything important in the post look into mail redirection. by cuddlesRT75 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 11:33am)

  • Not one to avoid but one to actively look into is Pertemps. They handle the temp contracts for the civil service and Scottish government. Also check out Work For Scotland for other Scot gov jobs Lots of temp roles in many areas. And once you're in the door with the civil service you're golden pal. by cuddlesRT75 (Mon 19th Jun 2023 9:19am)
  • You'd be surprised. A lot of my colleagues started with Pertemps got their foot in the door and were able to apply for internal promotions and transfers. It depends on your skill set when applying I'd say, if you can get straight in do that obviously, but if not then temp roles definitely set you in a better standing. Yes temps get a raw deal with job security overall but Pertemps especially has so many different contracts that it's fairly easy for them to find you something else if the original contract does end. by cuddlesRT75 (Mon 19th Jun 2023 11:11am)
