  • Myself, my brother and a few friends have all used Wayne White photography all stemming from seeing the photos of my mates wedding. He has been an absolute pleasure to have at our weddings, the end result of his work is brilliant - you can tell its a passion and not just work. Fairly certain he gets nominated regularly for photography awards, or at least it pops up on my Facebook feed regularly from his page. https://www.waynewhitephotography.co.uk/ by seanapaul (Wed 9th Jan 2019 10:30am)
  • Harassment and invasion of privacy definitely. Other rumours definitely to be confirmed with evidence. by seanapaul (Fri 11th Jan 2019 4:14pm)
  • Not sure if you would want to put yourself through the process, but coming forward to the police and making an statement may actually result in some meaningful outcome i.e. encouraging others who have been humilated on his videos or harrassed om the street to come forward, placed on the register, monitoring, community service, and more empathetically made aware to services which MIGHT be able to help him work through his horrific treatment and attitude toward women. In case his behaviour escalates, if it has not already. by seanapaul (Fri 11th Jan 2019 4:29pm)
  • Actually, there is videos of him filming girls in non-public places, while admittedely they are yet to be confirmed. If his own home then Its a no, if its not and he doesn't have permission, its a different case all together. He has also filmed people inside venues and on private property other than what appears to be inside homes (although I am unsure on the legality of this - may be down to the owner). Continually harassing someone (see look I used the literal word to explain how it fits in for you) for their number, or being described as being pressured into it, could be considered harassment. Especially when reports admittedly on social media state continually pushing despite attempts at declining. The fact multiple women on social media have came forward, in tandem with his youtube video evidence, and derogatory comments toward women on facebook would indicate its not a once off for him. > Are you stupid? Your language and tendency to jump to this kind of response would indicate you're angry about these accusations against him. Might I ask why? by seanapaul (Fri 11th Jan 2019 5:03pm)
  • I am not claiming everyday actions are crimes. Nor am I claiming filming in a public place is a crime, I have already answered you on that. You have made a strawman argument to defeat. > If the owner wants them to stop they have to ask I was fairly sure filming in private property such as a private dwelling required permission. This is why you can't aim security camera in positions they can view private property. Repetitively pressuring someone to release personal information is not every day behaviour. LEGISLATIVE POSITION INSCOTLAND 8. There is no legal or clear-cut definition of stalking and harassment in the UK, and the two terms are often used interchangeably. However, stalking and harassment is generally used to describe intentional repeated behaviour, which causes fear, upset and annoyance to the victim. by seanapaul (Fri 11th Jan 2019 5:29pm)
  • Props to you, I think coming forward is a hassle for victims to report in terms of time never mind emotions, mental wellbeing etc. I'm sorry to hear about your experience btw. Not that I imagine someone like him is a big deal, just that no one deserves that shit in their day. by seanapaul (Fri 11th Jan 2019 5:32pm)
  • Not true harassment has no black and white terms, but its probably more likely to be acting an aggressive or threatening manner based on his pattern of behaviour and the reports on social media (if they come forward). by seanapaul (Sun 13th Jan 2019 10:35pm)

  • I guess the increase in seeing people with pups must mean an increase in homeless over the last 3-4 years? I've worked in the city centre for that time and the last year have noticed a big increase by seanapaul (Wed 8th May 2019 1:06pm)

  • Great to hear! A much needed service by seanapaul (Wed 8th May 2019 2:37pm)
  • I don't think anyone deserves to be homeless. Suitable shelter and domain should be a right. Its a spectrum, like you say there are the minority who the media magnify and this informs our perceptions, and in this case obviously mine to a degree as I didn't even consider the reality of they once had a home with a dog and are now homeless. by seanapaul (Wed 8th May 2019 2:40pm)
  • That's a possibility, however it could also be that without the money provided from begging they would not be able to get food or cloth themselves when the costs for their housing are accounted for. by seanapaul (Thu 9th May 2019 2:13pm)
  • I mean lets face it, apart from some junkies who have little shame (the minority i.e. the group who beg at Buchanan bus station and spend their day shouting abuse at each other). I very much doubt anyone wants to be begging for their next meal. They would probably rather be working if it was feasible and more beneficial (some jobs you'd only be marginally better than benefits - not including costs associated with getting to a job) by seanapaul (Thu 9th May 2019 2:16pm)

  • GlasGO cabs are useless I would avoid them like the plague. My company asks me to use them for business taxis in the city. You can prebook a taxi hours or a day in advance and it will be 30 minutes late. by seanapaul (Sat 16th Oct 2021 10:25pm)
  • Pre booked taxis don't guarantee they will pick you up at the designated time. Taxi's are awful at the moment by seanapaul (Thu 16th Dec 2021 1:54am)

  • Experienced this first hand. Had a driver say to my fiance about 15 minutes walk from our house that if he drove any further it would be an extra £10. She refused and asked to get let out (which I wasn't thrilled at 1am) but thankfully he played ball as the cabs are tracked on the app to their final location. Definately worthy of a brick through the window. Scumbag. by seanapaul (Tue 8th Mar 2022 9:38am)

  • As others have said. Basically rhyming off a lot of pish about COVID and got to the stage he was pasting links to any shady "research" or blog post regarding COVID that supported the narrative his business could open. As the other person said, I feel for small business owners. But you can spot a prick a mile off, and he came across as the prick's prick. by seanapaul (Fri 15th Apr 2022 1:26pm)

  • That’s what science informed Physiotherapy. Manual work/hands on has very little evidence as a standalone treatment, and is only really used to help toward some kind of active management e.g. reduce pain temporarily to facilitate exercise. But I would say its on the Physio to understand your expectations and educate appropriately so that you are jointly making decisions about care. It seems that maybe this wasn’t done very well given your message. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:23pm)
  • I would add, high velocity manipulations do have an effect on pain, but it is very short lived (we can say with certainty less than a day). Everything else were unsure about how or why it works. Most of the research points to non-specific treatment effects, expectations, or behaviour change. Or a catch all of placebo. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:29pm)
  • I had back pain and then rubbed a triple cheeseburger from McDonalds on my back. It felt better after an hour, and I’ve not had pain since. Both our statements have exactly the same amount of tangible evidence to support the “it worked for me” stance. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:27pm)
  • Except Physio is a much more science based profession that osteopathy. So you’re much more unlikely to get a complete quack that believes they can manipulate your viscera. That being said, I’ve met some very good evidence based osteopaths, and they’re working very hard to change their profession from ending up like chiropractic. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:25pm)
  • You’re back does not “go out of place”. This is terminology based on vitalism that is thoroughly rebuked and based on spiritual healing. Sorry you’ve had shit Physiotherapy. Unfortunately, like every career we know someone we work with who are not good at their job. https://www.painscience.com/articles/subluxation.php by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:32pm)
  • Sorry you’ve had shit NHS physiotherapy. This is not true we follow evidence based guidelines and avoid alternative or unproven therapies. There are some things we can’t do due to lack of resourcing in services, but they are not anywhere close to the bare minimum. If your Physio is competent you will get a high standard of advice and treatment from some of the best educated in the world. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:35pm)
  • All I can say is write to your local MP/MSP. Lecturers real term pay has dropped 25-30% in the last 10 years. Some single lecturers I know have had to sell their car, downsize their flat, go part time as nursery fees eat into their income. I appreciate a lot of people are being hit hard and worse at the moment (which is a failure of this country). These are quite literally experts in their field normally educated to doctorate level. It is a disgrace. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 4:40pm)
  • As you said your history is complex as is chronic back pain. There isn’t a quick fix, and any management plan would require assessment and work over a long period of time. I’m glad you get relief from high velocity manipulations, but the point stands. Cognitive Functional Therapy is a term used by a researcher O’Sullivan which is essentially a multi-component bio psychosocial approach to working with people with chronic low back pain. However, an evidence informed physio worth their salt will likely emulate that approach. That may be worth reading in to. by seanapaul (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 11:58pm)
  • Worth saying that next to most safe areas there is always a bit of a dive next to it. Some areas you might want to think about missing are Bridgeton, Possilpark, most of the East End excluding Denniston, Easterhouse, Castlemilk, some parts of Rutherglen, some parts of Govanhill, Govan, Ibrox. There also might be nice streets/areas within those areas, and people who have lived there for years without any problem. by seanapaul (Sun 16th Jul 2023 6:13pm)

  • The Princess Royal has a really good NICU which was our reason for going there. Just in case. Can’t speak highly enough of the labour ward and maternity triage. The ward after giving birth was nice but a little short staffed, and the area between maternity triage and labour delivery had one really impersonal “old school” nurse who was a bit of a boot. by seanapaul (Tue 5th Sep 2023 8:18am)
  • No we didn’t. Got offered a measly 3% while other public workers on similar pay got between 7-10%. Email your Vice Chancellor and MP/MSP as UCU have template letters, and the upper management and government don’t seem to care about us. https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/nusdigital/document/documents/52783/7fb590b950251edfee464a8dee42f5d6/student_letter_FEB_UPDATE.pdf by seanapaul (Thu 7th Sep 2023 8:40am)
