  • I saw Frankie Boyle out with his kid at Nick's in Hyndland few months back. Didn't want to interrupt his meal so just looked casual whilst texting everyone to let them know the big news. by too_much_yoga (Sun 8th Sep 2019 1:16pm)
  • Having inspected the mess, I cant say this didnt happen .. by too_much_yoga (Sat 5th Oct 2019 12:41pm)
  • Dram! has also been opening at 8 for all the weekend groups and knockout games. Kitchen opens at 10 usually by too_much_yoga (Sat 26th Oct 2019 7:51am)
  • Great idea! Heard of the Wheel a while back but didn't realise the Kelpies were nearby. Could even fit that in on the way to Stirling probably by too_much_yoga (Tue 28th Jan 2020 10:14pm)
  • This'd be my Dad's dream and my Mum's nightmare ha by too_much_yoga (Tue 28th Jan 2020 10:15pm)
  • Thanks mate. The museum of flight is definitely on my radar now but just a bit too much of a trek for this weekend by too_much_yoga (Wed 29th Jan 2020 4:02pm)
  • Didn't know you can actually ride the Falkirk. Chances are we'll just stop by to check it out by too_much_yoga (Wed 29th Jan 2020 4:01pm)
  • You're not alone for sure. My mate is trying to buy a 2-bed in Pollockshields and everything going for 20-30% over HR. I'd say the same rules apply: if you're consistent with what you're willing to pay (and those numbers don't seem unreasonable at all) then it will happen eventually. Best of luck! by too_much_yoga (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 4:48pm)
  • I've been using nextdoor as a kind of local community forum app. It's a lot of complaining about dogs and neds ( at least hyndland one is) but really good for recommendations. Some funny chat too by too_much_yoga (Sun 2nd May 2021 2:59pm)
  • 1st Lets are absolute ass, I'll be there if I can ! by too_much_yoga (Tue 11th May 2021 10:31pm)

  • Edit: governments* by too_much_yoga (Fri 21st May 2021 1:42pm)
  • It's absolutely ridiculous that there isn't a Glasgow-wide vaccine call. I don't understand why government's think they can get away with asking public to take full responsibility for getting cases down whilst they check a spreadsheet once a day. The level of contempt is astounding by too_much_yoga (Fri 21st May 2021 1:42pm)
  • Yeah I did this the other day and got an appt for 12th June (but thanks). It's better than nothing but (1) it's been horrendously advertised and (2) that is still over 3 weeks away, for someone that is willing and able to be vaccinated in a level 3 zone. Just seems really half assed to me by too_much_yoga (Fri 21st May 2021 5:03pm)
  • Its not uncommon to get the invite a few days in advance of the date. Can imagine how many of those appts are missed because it's too short notice. I'd personally drop everything for it but I'm fortunate to be able to do that, and I'm want a vaccine bad. For people who are on the fence I imagine it's a shit show by too_much_yoga (Sat 22nd May 2021 12:59pm)
  • I would say that given how popular dogs are in Glasgow, it's a bit mad that so few parka have designated dog areas. Glasgow green is the only one I know that has one. I have a cocker spaniel that could easily be the dog you describe. It's rough not being able to give dogs a proper run around because of worries like this by too_much_yoga (Sun 30th May 2021 3:46pm)
  • bellahouston as a venue - how so? i'm not seen anyone there before. by too_much_yoga (Fri 8th Oct 2021 9:08am)
  • amazing. i was 12 when they played there so had to settle for the recording haha. saw them at earls court a couple of years later but "stadium" indoor gigs just aren't the same. by too_much_yoga (Fri 8th Oct 2021 9:36am)
  • any story there? seeing the Chilis in late 80s LA is one of my back-in-time dream gigs for sure by too_much_yoga (Fri 8th Oct 2021 10:08am)
  • Sounds it :). Yeah i didnt want to get into it all in the post but safe to say its more than just another chili's tour by too_much_yoga (Fri 8th Oct 2021 11:08am)
  • Can only speak for myself but tbh I haven't listened to any of there 2008-2016 stuff *at all*. I know from the RHCP subreddit that there's a newer, different crowd that loves that stuff, but might explain the difference. All I remember about the crowd in 2004 is loads of 50+ leather jacket wearing bikers, all super friendly by too_much_yoga (Fri 8th Oct 2021 2:05pm)
  • Nothing yet, US tickets are out and they're in the 80-120$ range. I reckon they'll be 50-70 here by too_much_yoga (Fri 8th Oct 2021 9:13pm)
  • Safe to say with JF back and them having not toured for a while that this isn't going to be like any rhcp gig from the last 12 years by too_much_yoga (Fri 15th Oct 2021 11:48pm)
  • Theres a theory that promoters have gotten tired of scalpers making so much money off them and have just raised prices to match scalpers to deal with it by too_much_yoga (Fri 15th Oct 2021 11:46pm)
  • was being daft any didn't look past this week. good to know the system isn't broken, still surprised that there isn't more availability by too_much_yoga (Mon 13th Dec 2021 11:04am)
  • Guess it is just really limited then.. I'm heading down south on the 20th and there doesn't seem to be anything available before then by too_much_yoga (Mon 13th Dec 2021 11:02am)
  • I've booked for the 28th but will try my luck with a walk-in appt this afternoon by too_much_yoga (Mon 13th Dec 2021 11:09am)
  • Mind saying which centre you booked? I checked out to greenock and there was nothing this week by too_much_yoga (Mon 13th Dec 2021 11:44am)
  • Big thanks for this - I've just reschedules to this Thursday. They must have added more slots - great news! by too_much_yoga (Mon 13th Dec 2021 11:54am)
  • When course costs are what they are it's hard to expect people to ignore all financial realities and go with their heart. Coming from 10 years in biomed research, there does seem to be lack of focus on how these two parts of a career can be brought together though. People either tend to be all in on one of the other, which leads to a lot of unhappiness by too_much_yoga (Sat 29th Jan 2022 5:16am)
  • Yeah I like this. Could also base the albums around themes e.g. local up-and-coming bands, early punk etc. by too_much_yoga (Sun 6th Feb 2022 8:02pm)

  • I have been a minority megabus fan for the past few years. Mostly because it's reliable and can be 15-20x cheaper than the alternatives. But got it last month and we broke down 1 hour out of Glasgow and waited for 2 hours for a replacement bus, and now my spirit is broken. I'll join the masses in saying fuck the megabus by too_much_yoga (Wed 4th May 2022 7:21pm)
  • Lismore Horseshoe Cottiers Drygate Pot still Bit of a loose definition of pub, but these all have great character in different ways by too_much_yoga (Sat 2nd Jul 2022 10:26pm)
  • Im in the process of selling and have spoken to 5-6 estate agents and had the surveyor out for the HR. My conclusion is that HR values are completely rigged and non-objective. Whilst the single survey report the surveyor produces is fairly strict, when it comes to valuation the agent and seller can basically demand what the surveyor should say. This is the sole reason why places go so consistently for over HR in popular areas like southside and westend. The agent requests the valuation to be artificially deflated compared to recent sale prices in order to stimulate interest and maximise end sale price.
