  • The shop on the third floor of Buchanan galleries. Just discovered and it stocks variety of gift/art/homeware items mostly handmade by variety of Scottish craftsmen. Very interesting shop with a lot one-off little gems. Shame to admit but I forgot a name of it. It's on the top floor right next to entrance to John Lewis by Zb24 (Sun 24th Feb 2019 12:21am)
  • Aye, Babylon and alladin next to it. Both very well stocked. by Zb24 (Thu 21st May 2020 9:54pm)
  • My test results (home test) were given after 48 hrs. However, my wives came after around 96 hours. Test done Wednesday results on Sunday. So yours may still come. by Zb24 (Wed 28th Oct 2020 10:21am)
  • Most of them. Don't use opening times on Google as a guide as most restaurants changed them to 6PM even though they're still opened for deliveries after this time. by Zb24 (Thu 5th Nov 2020 3:31pm)
  • There is a group on Facebook - Wild West Swimmers. They share a lot about safe spots etc... You can even (if you want) tag along so one can look after another. by Zb24 (Tue 12th Jan 2021 8:25pm)
  • Tinderbox on byres rd has "takeaway hatch". by Zb24 (Thu 14th Jan 2021 10:08am)
  • I used techbar (bottom of byres rd). They were always spot on. However, s7 is a c..t to dissasemble so if you don't need to recover any data then it's probably not cost effective to repair. by Zb24 (Sun 14th Mar 2021 9:57pm)
  • If you think it's indecisive just START doing something. It will immediately make up it's mind and it will start raining 😜 by Zb24 (Sun 11th Jul 2021 1:36pm)
  • Unless pretty much everyone else in the close has hardwood flooring in said tenement. Quite common in Hyndland/Broomhill/West End. by Zb24 (Fri 20th Aug 2021 11:28am)
  • You have to drop them off at designated station otherwise you would incur 10 pounds charge. After you park it at designated station make sure you get confirmation later on as system tried to charge me twice despite leaving the bike in the right place. by Zb24 (Mon 8th Nov 2021 1:52pm)
  • I live in tenement. I don't have it installed yet for a sole reason that I'm looking to move and I don't want to be tied by a contract in case if there is no hyperoptic in the new area. Back to the matter in question though many other flats around have hyperoptic installed. They must be installing in tenements as most of the flats in my area are and they were putting exchanges last year like crazy last year. Use their postcode checker by Zb24 (Tue 9th Nov 2021 11:32am)
  • They are still very much here. Why do you ask? by Zb24 (Mon 27th Dec 2021 12:09am)
  • If you intend Bellahouston call ahead if their flume is "in operation". They do have a flume but being there many times maybe 10% of the time it was available. by Zb24 (Thu 20th Jan 2022 2:14pm)
  • Campsie Fells. X85 bus from Buchanan Street and it's the last stop. And you can seat at the front window on the top floor of the bus which is a bonus to enjoy the views along the way by Zb24 (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 12:15pm)
  • You have 4 in a row on Duke Street. 340 Duke St, Glasgow G31 1QZ. Then you have a couple next to it. Victoria Road also quite a few. I mentioned these as these are reasonably price. You also have a couple (reasonably priced) on Dumbarton Road as mentioned by others. Turn left when coming out of partick station. Then on Crow Road there is cats protection Scotland. Byres road has a couple but the same as gwr proces are extortionate. by Zb24 (Sat 12th Feb 2022 8:44pm)
  • He is definitely legit. His lab is the bext equipped lab for any data recovery in Scotland if not the UK. Being IT specialist for a large organisation I sent quite a few departments there for data recovery (as we don't have equipment nor experience for deep data recovery) and he was successful most of times. I believe he has a flat fee of around 400 quid. by Zb24 (Mon 28th Feb 2022 6:44pm)
  • Crow Road car park in the Campsies. Lovely view and you can have a sit on a wee wall. Only bad point is that walk is not flat. You are confined to car park itself. https://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/05/13/81/5138119_2bd457ed.jpg by Zb24 (Sat 19th Mar 2022 9:44pm)
  • I've seen the article. How does one "access" them?. Are these through some tickets or something like that?. It's less for me, more for my son who is passionate about aviation. I'm just wondering how this works. All I've seen so far is Nicola flying :) by Zb24 (Fri 8th Apr 2022 11:01pm)
  • BP on Castlebank street. I believe it's called Rainbow car wash by Zb24 (Sat 23rd Apr 2022 1:25pm)
  • I second Hyper X. I also had Razer Man O'War. And despite popular opinion Logitech g335 I also had Logitech were the absolute worst. Tons of issues, endless firmware updates to address them, heavy software. Range was also pathetic. When in the older days Logitech was my go to for such products now they cock up big time. by Zb24 (Fri 27th May 2022 9:54pm)
  • Glasgow Taxis is probably your safest bet especially if you book in advance. Uber seems to be the least safe choice in this case. I was heading to the airport beginning of May and 3 drivers accepted then turned around and cancelled (you can see it on the app). Eventually called my local (govan) southside radio cars and driver was at my door 5 mins later. by Zb24 (Sat 4th Jun 2022 8:49pm)
  • Went there couple years back but their prices were ridiculous. What bits are you after? by Zb24 (Sun 5th Jun 2022 7:03pm)
  • I was picking up my cat from London in May. Train is the best way to go. Comfortable journey, you're not paying extra. No way to get a cat on a domestic flight. Train is 4h30 with change in Edinburgh. by Zb24 (Mon 27th Jun 2022 4:29pm)
  • Second this. Student clinic does pretty much all restorative work except implants but the only issue is time. So maybe a good idea to get the tooth at least treated/temporary filled and maybe you will be admitted on time for the rest of restorative work. Be easy with the tooth as once the it's broken and the edges are week the bits crack off easily. by Zb24 (Fri 2nd Dec 2022 9:40pm)
  • Is it all open on weekdays or weekends only? by Zb24 (Thu 22nd Dec 2022 12:04am)
  • The banner itself is the design from the flight school on DÄ™blin, Poland 1941. Made for polish pilots who escaped to Lyon then subsequently to Britain and fly during Battle of Britain. Being Polish I have to admit I love the language (old). Many words are not even spelled that way any more. Is there anything on the other side? by Zb24 (Fri 23rd Dec 2022 12:36am)
  • This is what "dwustronna podobiznÄ™ ryngrafu" - "two sided expression of ryngraf" refers to. Metallic bit is a "ryngraf". by Zb24 (Mon 26th Dec 2022 11:15pm)
  • When I fell in debt with them here's what happened: The debt was passed on to Sheriff's officers. They agreed a payment plan. But then I got into more trouble so eventually ended up as funds arrest. None of the above had any influence on credit rating. It appears that earnings arrestment is not a result of any CCJ or anything like this. How much can they take as earnings arrestment? calculation below: [https://www.advicescotland.com/wage-arrestment-how-much-can-they-take/](https://www.advicescotland.com/wage-arrestment-how-much-can-they-take/) Again as I had access to credit reports nothing was reported. by Zb24 (Wed 25th Jan 2023 4:16pm)
  • Especially since Covid it became law that restaurants are required to allow toilets for the drivers/riders. Yes, there are some who still refuse it but most of them have no issues. Beinga delivery cyclist myself I still have proper hatred for them c...s on their electric bikes that are the size and weight of a bloody moped and going on a pavement with no lights. As they are beyond these things I doubt any level of personal hygiene is enforceable. by Zb24 (Wed 22nd Feb 2023 1:49pm)
  • It is a small space though and not really fair to be hogging a seat all day. But there is iCafe right next and they are big with plenty of space. by Zb24 (Fri 28th Apr 2023 10:31pm)
  • This is A814 still. ULEZ signs start on Sauchiehall street when you turn left onto it from Charing Cross. As you are turning right to turn around and get onto Woodlands Rd it's not part of ULEZ. Hope that helps by Zb24 (Fri 12th May 2023 6:01pm)

LEZ sign on left turn to Sauchiehall Street but lanes going straight unaffected. Not to mention that you turn right way before it. by Zb24 (Fri 12th May 2023 9:50pm)
  • Depends where you are but you could try Glasgow Bike Hive down the Hayburn Lane. James is sound and talkative so probably will explain we’ll enough that next time you will have no problem doing it yourself if you wish to. by Zb24 (Sun 9th Jul 2023 1:36am)
  • There is a dedicated bus to Edinburgh airport from Buchanan. It should run on that day too. To be honest seats are wayyy more comfortable than most cabs and journey equally quick if not quicker. Can’t imagine going in black cab at 70mph for nearly an hour. by Zb24 (Mon 10th Jul 2023 11:03pm)
  • It’s Glasgow Fair Monday. Holiday for unis therefore for dental school. From tomorrow business as usual by Zb24 (Mon 17th Jul 2023 10:12am)
  • You will find free parking on the side streets near Haymarket. You can park there and get Lothian bus or train to Waverley (one stop). This way you avoid city centre traffic in a car and save on parking. Lothian buses are capped for daily ticket and much cheaper than first buses. Where I usually park it’s no more than 10 mins from Haymarket on foot and bus stops are plenty if you rather take a bus. by Zb24 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 8:31pm)
  • You could go to Mugdock Country Park by train to Milngavie. You have a couple of trails, the one with entrance to castle and a big car park most popular so wouldn’t use this one. But the rest has plenty of raspberries and wild blueberries too. And it’s a lovely walk. The closest to train station is Khyber car park, walk up to the forestry bit and you will find some there by Zb24 (Sun 30th Jul 2023 10:45am)
  • Nope, that’s farting. by Zb24 (Sun 6th Aug 2023 5:58pm)
  • I am biking through the tunnel pretty much everyday. It’s generally safe. I never had any unsafe encounter with a dodgy character. You have separate southbound and northbound tunnels for bikes and entrances are separate. Unfortunately some idiots manage to go the wrong way so be on alert on a blind turn. But this actually happened extremely rarely during a few years of me using it. Surface is not very flat but dependable on a bike you will know what speed is safe for you on a descent. by Zb24 (Wed 23rd Aug 2023 12:55am)
  • I work at the uni in the department where we have to be every day simply because we have to do things on site. So to put it simply if the job description does not state that you need to: - meet students or lecturers - look after anything specific on the estate You will be allowed for hybrid working. These days new member of staff is issued a laptop not a desktop purely because of hybrid work. From my experience and in my college which I won’t disclose here most of admin work including HR, course support, student support is mostly done in hybrid manner. So if your job can be done online you won’t be forced into the office on the basis “we think people are more efficient on the office”. You will be however encouraged to show up at least once a week or something along those lines. To be honest though from my experience after covid most of the staff now works from home from greater part of the week and I have pretty good insight. by Zb24 (Fri 15th Sep 2023 12:07am)
