  • Just went to get tickets for the United Kingdolls and both shows are sold out! Totally gutted! by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 19th Mar 2021 12:07am)
  • Just imagine wee Nic saying "I don't want to see no fucking H&M" at the briefing. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 19th Mar 2021 1:14am)
  • I'll meet you there in 10. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 19th Mar 2021 1:13am)
  • Yeah I've got tickets too. Probably going to get rescheduled again or cancelled. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 19th Mar 2021 1:12am)
  • Tell me about it! I live in a flat and there's something like 90 flats all sharing the same bins. We have something like 10 of the big skips for general waste and 8 blue wheelie bins for recycling. Two days after the recycling is emptied, it's full again. I've asked for more several times but nothing. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 20th Mar 2021 12:57pm)
  • I used to live in a flat that had a latch to unlock the front door. I done the same and made an effort to always lock it unless there was an obvious reason not to. It's just a safety thing for everyone inside. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 21st Mar 2021 12:07pm)
  • If you find anywhere let me know. I'm going on a hunt after work by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 23rd Mar 2021 9:27am)
  • My EV gives me about 160-180 range from 7 hours at a fast charger, that drops by about 10% if I have the ac or heater on. So 3 hours would be about 80 miles max for me by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 7th Apr 2021 8:47pm)
  • I stupidly got the MG ZS EV (seriously who named that thing) the website and dealer didn't tell me that the "fast" charge port was limited to the slowest speed rated fast, 7kw. I think most EVs can fast charge a lot faster than that (up to 38 I think) a rapid charge for me is about 40 mins and that adds about 100 miles. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 7th Apr 2021 8:58pm)
  • It came with a charger with a normal wall 3 pin. Apparently that takes 18-24 hours to give my car 160 miles. Pretty useless. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 7th Apr 2021 9:49pm)
  • You joke but that's what's happening on Polmadie Road... by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 7th Apr 2021 9:46pm)
  • Virgin did a few years ago when I was at uni, not sure about now. You had to call them though. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 19th Jun 2021 11:21am)
  • I'm the same with Hermes. In August I moved into a new build that wasn't on a lot of companies systems yet so only royal mail and hermes would deliver. There was a less than 50/50 chance if it would arrive at all or "be lost" and a 90% chance it would not arrive on the scheduled date. On the plus side, I got so many amazon vouchers for "inconvenience" around that time. Now I avoid companies that use hermes only, and pick another option if available. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 19th Jun 2021 2:54pm)
  • I'm not sure how it will apply to this building but when I bought my house there was a similar rule although it was maximum of one dog. I questioned my solicitor about it and they said that it's pretty much unenforceable. Best thing to do will be to speak to your solicitor. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 24th Jun 2021 1:21pm)
  • Pride is the opposite of shame. Pride is lgbtq community saying fuck you, I'm not ashamed of who I am. Even today in Liberal places it can still be difficult to be openly gay, you get looks, comments, threats and even some idiots might attack you. Pride is saying fuck that shit, I will not be ashamed, I am who I am and you won't stop me. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 27th Jun 2021 10:33pm)
  • I'm similar. We have 92 flats sharing a bin court. There are something like 12 blue wheelie bins for recycling and 20+ skips for general waste. Recycling is full 48 hours after being emptied so I barely bother anymore. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 5:23pm)
  • If they do that contact support. They will refund you and sometimes give you credit. Although the one time they done that for me I was pretty pissed because my uber arrived 30 mins late and then the driver wouldn't unlock the door to let me in. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 25th Jul 2021 4:20pm)
  • Max's bar has a brilliant lunch for £5. Portions are decent sized too. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 5th Aug 2021 2:01pm)
  • Usually I would agree with you but the other week when it was sunny I walked through Glasgow green after work (about 4ish) and every bin was full and overflowing and some even had bin bags sat beside them with birds trying to get to any scrap of food in them. The bin were still full when I walked to work the next morning. I If the council were doing their job by providing enough bins and actually emptying them then it would help a lot. I also think that because the place is such a shit hole people just don't bother cleaning up after themselves. What's one crisp pack amongst the rest of the rubbish. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 8th Aug 2021 5:57pm)
  • I'm getting into the habit of reporting any bins that are full as I'm walking to/from the city centre but they don't care. One day I reported 12 full bins. The next day they were all marked as emptied but not one had been. Litter is even worse. How can you report it when it's pretty much everywhere, and that stupid app need so much detail to submit a report. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 8th Aug 2021 6:04pm)
  • My partner is from Eastern Europe and is shocked at the lack of bins. He said in his home city there's bins on almost every corner and on busy streets one on every second lamppost. Parks usually have bins by every bench and several along paths and a few in more open spaces. He also said they get emptied several times a day. Why can't we have that sort of service here? by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 8th Aug 2021 7:28pm)
  • I'm just back from Barcelona. I didn't have to test on my way there but I'm double Vax'd, you do have to fill in a health form in the 2 days before flying. On the way back you have to get a test before you fly then get the day 2 test for. Annoyingly in Scotland you can only get it from the one company. Its £88 and is just an NHS at home PCR. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 10th Aug 2021 9:24pm)
  • Schbelta Clinic in the Diagonal area of the city. It was €130 because I left it a bit late and needed same day. I found out when I got back that lateral flow is actually good enough for UK entry which was a lot cheaper. I'd advise against that clinic though, they were so disorganised. Despite filling in the paperwork in advance, I had to do the it again, they gave me the wrong test (still a pcr, but I booked a saliva test but they gave me a swab one - definitely get saliva if you can, you just spit into a tube), they over charged someone else there by €100 and somehow they took 40 minutes to work out how to take payment from me. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 10th Aug 2021 9:49pm)
  • It's exactly the same as the at home PCR tests. You get a swab sent to you, you take the sample and you mail it back, the next day you get your result emailed/text to you. No one in Scotland checked any of my paperwork. The airline did before boarding but nothing at customs and no one has followed up. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 11th Aug 2021 1:06am)
  • I ordered before I went and it was delivered the day I arrived back, my partner ordered the day before he flew back and it arrived the day after we returned. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 11th Aug 2021 10:10am)
  • Pre covid geek retreat had nights for different games, might be worth looking there. Its always hard to find a d&d group, I play with some people I used to work with but overtime the numbers have gotten too low to regularly play. We are possibly looking for a few new players. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 11th Aug 2021 10:54am)
  • Have a good trip by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 11th Aug 2021 10:51am)
  • I've never actually played in there just shopped but I can imagine it's getting uncomfortable if it was busy. There's a pub in the city centre that used to do a dnd night but I can't remember what one. Might have been Dury Street? by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 11th Aug 2021 11:30am)
  • Yeah England can order from anywhere. Currently in Scotland you must order from the governments chosen place. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 11th Aug 2021 12:14pm)
  • It's totally a candidates market right now. About 4 months ago I was looking for a job and had three companies in a bidding war. Now I'm trying to recruit for developers and its really difficult, the market is crazy right now. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 14th Aug 2021 11:38am)
  • I could be interested. I considered backing the kickstarter but I have so many games sitting in my cupboard but not many of my friends want to play. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 29th Aug 2021 2:42pm)
  • From what I remember Edinburgh only have one terminal so it would be 1. That's what I put when I travelled in August anyway. But also I'd hold off booking the test until 3-4 days before you return. There's rumours that they will switch to lateral flow being needed instead of PCR. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 16th Oct 2021 11:03am)
  • I thought the bride was closed too? by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 22nd Oct 2021 5:30pm)
  • Yep. It's stupid. Part of the reason I got a new build, totally regret that decision now that I live in this overpriced, poor quality shoe box but at least I didn't need an extra 10k+ in cash. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 22nd Oct 2021 6:36pm)
  • Anyone know what was going on with the police last night? My flat overlooks the Clyde Gateway road and a few time last night about 30 police cars and vans sped by with their sirens on. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 24th Oct 2021 11:11am)
  • That would make sense, yeah. They started at about 6 yesterday and the last time I heard them was about 11.30 last night. Really annoying. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 24th Oct 2021 6:22pm)
  • I read somewhere that while the official number is 25,000 the estimated number of visitors to Glasgow for COP will be closer to 100,000 with all the side events, protests, additional security etc. So yeah, it's going to be a shit show. I'm glad I am out if the country for most of the event. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 24th Oct 2021 6:28pm)
  • Great idea but should go further and I have no doubt it will likely be half-assed. In my opinion there should be no busses through it either which will allow restaurants to use the roads for outdoor seating. GCC should also put benches, trees etc. Make the full zone similar to Buchanan Street, turn the back alleys into places you want to be, not places to avoid. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 11th Nov 2021 12:59pm)
  • Yeah I suppose there needs to be a solution for people with low mobility. I was just thinking about the number of busses that go through the proposed zone with all the exhaust fumes, noise and space they take up too. Having a few trolleybuses with routes through the zone would make sense. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 11th Nov 2021 2:09pm)
  • I read that St Enoch management is planning on converting Debenhams into an office block. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 12th Dec 2021 12:55pm)
  • Wee cones dipped in chocolate? Diddy cones or something? I remember as a kid going to Burger King and driving home with my mum hanging the bag out the window so they wouldn't melt before we got home. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Mon 20th Dec 2021 9:17pm)
  • I ordered something with special delivery before xmas. It was supposed to arrive the 23rd, when it hadn't arrived the 24th I checked tracking, it said delivery had been attempted the 23rd but there was not even any movement recorded my my Ring doorbell so unless the postman was invisible no delivery was attempted. I went to the sorting office between Xmas and NY (30th I think). The poor guy at the desk looked for my parcel and came back and said he couldnt find it but not to worry because G5 postcodes hadn't been sorted since the 22nd and that the managers had been marking all tracking as attempted as it arrived into the office to keep stats looking good and it would arrive shortly after new year. It arrived this Thursday along with two letters dated the 17th. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 8th Jan 2022 6:56pm)
  • I had issues with them. I bought a tattoo design online from them, got booked in then a few weeks before called up to confirm the time. Turns out the artist I'd booked with left the studio 9 months before and they never bother to tell me. Refused to refund me over the phone and ignored my repeated emails and live chats. I ended up getting a chargeback on my credit card, only then did they respond to me. I contacted the original artist to book in with him and he said that the same thing happened to loads of his clients. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 13th Jan 2022 7:44pm)
  • Last time I was at B&Q in Parkhead they had a box outside the exit filled with off cuts off wood for you to take of you needed it, for free. Might be good to get started with? by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 16th Jan 2022 5:38pm)
  • Yeah the guy at the sorting office told me on Hogmanay that the G5 mail hadn't been sorted since the 22nd and the manager was just scanning everything as attempted delivery when it arrived to the office. I felt so bad for him, there was a bug queue and from what I saw no one got what they came for. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Mon 17th Jan 2022 11:20pm)
  • I'm in a similar situation to you, although I don't have discalculia to blame I've just had shit money management. I start a new job next week with a big pay bump so I've been trying to sort it out. What I've done is go to [the salary calculator](https://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php) and worked out what my new take home pay is. Then I went through all my bills and created a spreadsheet with them broken down to my monthly debt payments (credit cards, loans etc.) , my monthly bills (phone, car, Netflix etc.) And bills I split with my partner (mortgage, energy, internet etc). On the debt page I listed minimum payments, total balance and interest rate. I'll use the [snowball method](https://www.ramseysolutions.com/debt/how-the-debt-snowball-method-works) to pay them off fairly quickly, well still 2 years but better than the 15 estimated just paying minimum rates. I created a cover sheet that has the total minimum debt payments, my bills and joint bills plus my salary and then the amount left over each month after them. I'm now going to split that into 4. 1. Expenses like food, nights out, commute. 2. Paying more to my debt to pay it off faster and kick the snowball off a bit. 3. Building emergency savings. For unexpected expenses or Repairs or whatever. 4. Proper longer term savings. I'll probably split this between a savings account and do some basic stocks and shares type investment with some of it too. I use monzo and make use of their salary sorter and pots to manage my money. When I get paid I click a few buttons and it splits my salary into a bills pot, this isn't touched and all my bills are paid out of this, it automatically transfers my share of joint bills to my joint account and once I get my first bigger pay it'll transfer some cash to a savings account and a locked pot for emergency stuff. What's left in the main account balance is my money for food, entertainment etc. As I said I'm no expert but if you want a hand trying to do some of this stuff yourself let me know and I can try. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 18th Jan 2022 5:48pm)
  • I heard from someone that owns one of the businesses near there that the road was redone because the owner of Morris Park lobbied the council hard to get them to upgrade the road and make it connect directly to their car park. I think Junction 1 is part of Morris Park? by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 1st Feb 2022 10:28am)
  • It's not the council dropping the rubbish, correct. It is the council that are removing bins from public spaces. It's the council that are not regularly emptying bins that still exist. It's the council that keep cutting domestic bin collections so bins fill up and then spread their rubbish when it's windy. Last week I walked along the Clyde from Glasgow Green to Dalmarnock. There were zero bins along the path. At points where the path would travel under the main road there might be one up there but they aren't visible from the river level. This is a major reason. People don't have access to bins to actually bin their rubbish. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Mon 21st Feb 2022 1:52pm)
  • Check your rights. I have a feeling that your tenancy should transfer over and they can't kick you out at such short notice. Scottish tenants have a decent amount of rights. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 24th Feb 2022 2:23pm)
  • I read a thing a few weeks ago that bolt were refused a licence to operate in Glasgow. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 8th Mar 2022 12:26pm)
  • In my experience a lot of Barbers can be really good with short hair and long hair if it's straight but terrible with longer wavy/curly hair. OP probably means a barber who is good with long hair. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Fri 1st Apr 2022 3:37pm)
  • Yeah i have long curly and it took me a while to find a barber but I eventually did, he's based in Kirky so probably not worth the recommendation. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sat 2nd Apr 2022 1:46pm)
  • Yeah definitely a distinction. My understanding is that: Naw is Scots for No. No is Scots for not. Well in Glasgow anyway. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Wed 6th Apr 2022 3:23pm)
  • Hampden is now part of Glasgo, avoid them like the plague. They will take your booking then show up 3 hours late and act like it's your fault. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 24th Apr 2022 4:21pm)
  • Have you checked on zap map? That has information for almost every public charger in the country (plus a few private ones too) It might also be they haven't been turned on yet and so aren't showing on any app. by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Thu 12th May 2022 9:54am)
  • Think bigger! Maybe side of a building! by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Sun 29th May 2022 10:48pm)
  • That was the official reason but was it not leaked that production left half the set down south last time? I'm sure I read that somewhere... by ChunkyYetFunky2 (Tue 28th Jun 2022 10:51am)
