  • "Homelessness" is ended already. Anyone who wants help can get it in 2019. We now need to look at the reasons why some people want to stay on the streets/other factors which mean they need to. by Wanbizzle (Sat 21st Sep 2019 4:18pm)

  • A lot of people wouldnt want to be in these facilities regardless of the state of them. They need to be in an area which allows easy access and use of drugs, or have been turfed out 3 hostels/flats already, or are constantly in and out of prison so they cant hold down a fixed address by Wanbizzle (Sat 21st Sep 2019 4:21pm)
  • What are you talking about. The point im making is that even if they were excellent the majority of homeless wouldnt want to be in them out of choice. You say: "You know as well as I do that the homeless facilities are not fit for purpose, otherwise we wouldn’t have rough sleepers." Thats actually a really naive thing to say. Im not sure if youv ever had a career in dealing with homeless people in some of the worst stages of their lives but im genuinely sorry to say, 90 percent of them are vicious violent drug addicted criminals who would steal the sugar out of your tea, whereas a lot of the public seem to think they are just down on their luck people whov fallen on hard times. I would love to help them, but the majority of the time they don not want nor do they personally think they even need your help. You act as if making better facilities would just get them all in and get them to turn their lives around, but it goes much deeper than that. A person needs to want your help. The best chance we have is better investment in foster and social services for current children so they have a better chance at growing up to be better members of society by Wanbizzle (Sat 21st Sep 2019 4:39pm)
  • No problem mate. You cant really go wrong in central southside. Battlefield, Mount Florida, Cathcart, Strathbungo etc all really good areas, with good value most importantly. Except Govanhill. Under no circumstances should you rent a flat there by Wanbizzle (Sat 21st Sep 2019 5:12pm)
  • "You are absolutely deluded if you think that people on the streets “would take the sugar out our tea”. Get the silver spoon our your mouth and live in the real world." Im deluded if i think the city centre has a high amount of homeless getting caught shoplifting or housebreaking? "Please feel free to come down to the Easterhouse food bank and tell the punters there that. I can DM you the opening hours if you want." obviously they need help in the way of free food, which anyone would take in the circumstances and which is brilliant and commendable but i want to help them socially. "You better have a source for this otherwise you’re a liar." Lmao or what exactly. Ill take that though, its not 90 percent, none of my information is based on "sources" its all anecdotal based on years of experience. i take it everything you know on the subject comes from reading online. Nothing wrong with that obviously its all factual information, but it can be compared to learning to drive a car, and then driving in the real world. I see you backpeddled on calling me a vicious tory cunt. you dont know the first thing about me so dont comment on your incorrect viewings of my political beliefs. Also im not personal on anything im saying to you, i wish to have a discussion, quite frankly i couldnt care less about you personally. "If it improves ten peoples’ lives, it is worth investing in." Quite frankly no it isnt, that goes for anything in life, if theres other options that help a lot more and cost a lot less by Wanbizzle (Sat 21st Sep 2019 5:52pm)

  • Death of the high street is murdering the city centre too, Only worthwhile thing in Glasgow city centre is the nightlife now, even at that it’s just students, neds and work nights out. The towns becoming a shithole again, was rough as fuck before like 2005, became quite decent 2005-2015ish been rough again ever since. Been up sauchiehall street recently? Like where the McDonald’s is. That bit had really good shops like 10 years ago, now it’s like a mini duke street by Wanbizzle (Sun 28th Jun 2020 6:08pm)

  • I remember seeing ads for these when they were getting built about 8 years ago, and i havent seen anything about them until now, must say they actually looked a lot nicer in the ads. wonder how much they go for though it will be the factor fees in a property like this that would be the killer. by Wanbizzle (Sun 5th Jul 2020 1:01pm)
  • She may not have been "overdosed" just high on the effects of heroin. i feel like in the city centre this is just a daily sight 'While I was waiting for the ambulance a man walked by and looked at her and said to me "that's coming back with a vengence".' Im inclined to agree with the man you used to see it all the time, it stopped, but in the past 2 year or so its came back a lot (heroin addicts openly out their nut on the street) by Wanbizzle (Fri 17th Jul 2020 5:54pm)

  • I defo agree its gentrifying, its way better than it was 5 years ago when i lived there since they forced the slum landlords out but while it sits in the bottom 5 percent you cant recommend it as an area for someone to buy in, its a gamble. Its one of those areas you could realistically lose a lot of money in. by Wanbizzle (Mon 27th Jul 2020 1:23pm)
  • Off topic of this but i went for dinner last night in a place in the town which will remain nameless, there was 2 of us, the bill was 54 quid, and after eat out discount it came to 27 quid, so they took 27 off (50 percent). I thought it was only meant to be a maximum of 10er per heard? Are some places just doing 50 percent off and taking for granted you have the amount of people to require it? Or has this place misunderstood the terms of the scheme lol by Wanbizzle (Tue 11th Aug 2020 4:09pm)

  • This is probably one of the worst corona decisions I’ve seen. I can now get a fine for having someone in my house , but that same person could pick me up in a car, drive me to McDonald’s and sit in with me, along with everyone else. Which yesterday would’ve been 50 percent off. Only if I sat in. If I wanted to take it home and eat it alone I wouldn’t get 50 percent off. I don’t get it. by Wanbizzle (Tue 1st Sep 2020 6:49pm)

  • DELETED Nah, I wear a face mask in shops and on busy streets (because I want to, not out of necessity) sanitize my hands regularly, I would never dream of hosting a house party nor attending one (I don’t even go to pubs anymore) but the Scottish govt is not telling me Who I can and can’t have in my home, that’s where I draw the line. The Scottish govt doesn’t own my home, I do, I’m a responsible adult, if I want to visit my mum or have my friend visit me in my home taking precautions to make sure there’s no risk, I should be able to make that decision for myself. I could visit them in a pub. I know “yes but the bars/restaurants are safe areas who are following guidelines” be real man. 25 percent are following. 50 percent are following as much as they can out of necessity, but care most about profit, and the other 25 couldn’t give a fuck. We know most of the patrons couldn’t give a fuck, especially drunk ones by Wanbizzle (Sun 27th Sep 2020 12:31pm)

  • I dont understand. You said noone "needs" a car. Iv just explained to you i do "need" a car as its not possible for me to get to work for these early starts via public transport "That sounds like a you problem" is your retort. Fuck me mate you should be a spokesman for Glasgow City Council with those responses If you stay in the likes of Greenock and commute to the city, obviously public transport is the answer. The train is even quicker than driving and you dont need to faff about with parking, its what i would do. if i worked under <5 miles from my house i would cycle. The problem comes in when like me you stay in a suburb out past the southside and need to get to a random area in the North East for work. Even when i do start at a reasonable time i would need to get 3 buses which would take around 1h30, up to 2 hours in peak traffic. Or a bus to a railway station and then another bus from the town. In a city like London or Barcelona its likely id be able to get the underground this distance in under 30 mins, but going back to the original point made, Scottish public transport is shit. Sick of this "ditch the car" patter from folk who are lucky enough that they can walk to work or public transport just happens to suit their circumstances, so think everyones situation is the same so theyre just a lazy scumbag and need to "ditch the car" Im not meandering up to Dundee for a laugh, then i wouldn't care how long it took. New cases only it seems so yeah you're right by Wanbizzle (Wed 5th Jan 2022 7:34pm)

  • I remember being younger and actually sprinting down the street to make a bus that was at the stop boarding passengers, the driver clearly saw me and could not wait to get the last person on, so that he could slam the doors shut literally in my face as I made it just in time, and took right off. Honestly it’s as simple as some of them take sadistic pleasure in it. by Wanbizzle (Fri 7th Jan 2022 12:07pm)

  • Because they’re putting your price up you can leave for free. I have to leave because I’m moving to a non virgin address, so I’m lucky they put the price up as it allows me to leave fee free. But FYI when I did leave they phoned me the next day offering me my package for 34 quid for the next 18 months, unfortunately I couldn’t accept. I was paying 47 for 500mb fibre. by Wanbizzle (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 7:57pm)
  • I moved to a non Virgin address the other day so I had to find a new deal. I ended up going with TalkTalk 900mb for 49 a month, with a free Eero mesh system worth like 300. I don’t see me getting anything like 900 but they guarantee at least 500 which I would be fine with, and more than happy with 600-700 If I could I would stay with Virgin as they run their own dedicated fibre, everyone else mostly just shares the same line. If I could pick absolutely anyone though I’d be going for Hyperoptic but you can’t really get them outside the city centre by Wanbizzle (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 8:00pm)
  • DELETED What are we protesting against here.. the unfortunate pitfalls of a (reasonably) free market? I don’t really want the government to step in here.. we will just need to pay in other ways. What’s going to happen is the middle earners will subsidise the poor, so I’ll need to pay my own gas bill and pay someone else’s through taxation. by Wanbizzle (Fri 4th Feb 2022 2:33pm)

  • It’s not as set in stone as “how much over did you go” some are “worth” a certain amount for a home report because similar properties in the area are selling for the same, but the way Glasgow works one street could be considered very desirable but literally 5 streets away could be considered drastically less desirable, for a very similar property. Or what condition is it in? Yes a property may have a “new” bathroom or kitchen, but is it considered nice and “on trend” (which will attract a higher offer or more offers) or is it a shitty council wet wall style thing, that may have just been put in spanking new, but it’s shit How is it staged? On trend? People will pay a lot more. It has a psychological effect, people will just want it more. by Wanbizzle (Fri 11th Feb 2022 8:04pm)
  • Because I think it looks cool and “on trend”. Staged doesn’t mean is it in a trendy neighbourhood, look up what property staging is before you come barrelling in lol. by Wanbizzle (Sat 12th Feb 2022 8:10am)

I can’t even really think of anywhere in town good to sit for ages, but if you go to the west end or southside you’ll be spoiled for choice. Sorry I read that as you were looking for somewhere to work, laborotorio will def fit your needs by Wanbizzle (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 2:02pm)

  • Yeah its expensive but the stuffs by far the nicest imo, i feel like everywhere else the stuff looked the same and was just naff grey crushed velvet or granny settees. Costco is OK i just got lucky i think though, got a good deal. You could try find one you like on [made.com](https://made.com) and then check ebay to get it cheaper, iv done that before too. by Wanbizzle (Sun 27th Mar 2022 11:16pm)

I was an advocate of masks 2020-2021 but now it just feels like pointless window dressing so that politicians can say “look we are doing something”. Lack of inclination from staff and also the under 15 could just grab an adult from the crowd and say “yeah I’m with him” and that would be fine so what’s the point enforcing. by Wanbizzle (Tue 5th Jul 2022 9:29am)

So if you just didn’t turn up then if it was ever questioned (which it wouldn’t be), a person could just claim they never received anything, and the court wouldn’t be able to say anything to that. by Wanbizzle (Mon 17th Oct 2022 10:32am)

  • Just round up if you feel like making a nice gesture. Honestly I used to be an advocate of tips here (as in its necessary to do so) but especially after visiting America a couple of times Iv fell away from it. It’s absolutely necessary over there because that’s how the system is, but here they get paid the same as someone working in a call centre, the people who clean the rooms in a hotel, door staff, so it’s not necessary. If you feel like being nice then batter in. It’s just another American practice that’s made it over here because of how much we end up emulating their culture because of TV over the years etc. that’s why people are in the comments are saying “leave ten percent”, that’s what they do over there so the server gets a fair mark up based on your bill or “the level of work they did”, that’s not how it works here, again just implemented through American emulation. by Wanbizzle (Tue 18th Oct 2022 10:39am)

I literally just say “mate I am fuckin asthmatic and you lighting up that fag could kill me get it out now” and both times they have complied. The type of lowlifes that do shit like this are the type to act aggressive as they know the average citizen will just back down out of “it’s not worth it” or they’ll be scared by a guy like that, but I know them well enough to know that they are like bullies that will absolutely fold the second anyone gives them any type off assertive behaviour back. by Wanbizzle (Tue 29th Aug 2023 1:39pm)

  • I feel like I just don’t want to approach situations like that. I never won’t stand up for myself because “oh that guy might be violent towards me”. It’s really not worthless to me I hate smoking that much and It can cause me serious harm, and the audacity of the “I don’t give a fuck I’m just going to smoke on this bud” really enrages me lol. I feel like this is saying “great idea driving in a car 99 percent of the time, all good until a lorry smashes into you” by Wanbizzle (Tue 29th Aug 2023 3:32pm)
  • Unfortunately this bully probably saw that you were female, young and in a crutch and knew it would be easy to bully you. Obviously Iv said what I said above, but it’s easy for me to say one thing being male or whatever I suppose, and different for others. by Wanbizzle (Tue 29th Aug 2023 3:36pm)
  • Cheers I’ll do me, just couldn’t respect myself if I d didn’t stand up for myself. I’ll never let people disrespect me, I know a lot do. by Wanbizzle (Tue 29th Aug 2023 4:31pm)

  • You don’t stay in a court over the weekend you stay in a police station, and it’s not too long to stay there it’s called a “weekender”, stop just saying shit you don’t know. If you get lifted on a Friday you won’t get seen by anyone until the Monday unless the cops decide to just let u out. by Wanbizzle (Sat 23rd Sep 2023 10:10pm)
  • Going through prestwick security is akin to visiting your local library. I specifically always pick prestwick to fly from when I can as it’s always a totally stress free experience. by Wanbizzle (Sat 23rd Sep 2023 10:30pm)

  • Last Wednesday evening, it was busy with people, but I walked in got on a machine straight away and order was ready in about 10 mins. If you go during the week and park up and walk in, it’s fine, especially in the afternoon. I don’t understand the way people would rather sit in a drive thru for 45 mins than park up and walk in. by Wanbizzle (Mon 2nd Oct 2023 12:49pm)
  • If I was renting I would be changing the locks so that it’s not possible for them to just enter your home on a whim when they feel like it. You just need to keep the original lock that was supplied when you moved in, and change it back to that when you leave. Don’t be put off by thinking changing them is a big job, which requires a locksmith. You just need to change the barrel, the bit where the key goes in. Changing a barrel on a standard latch lock is a 5 minute job that you can easily do yourself, with a screwdriver. by Wanbizzle (Thu 26th Oct 2023 1:32pm)
  • Is that the one that was right in a corner? Come in one of the doors and go right and it was in the corner, the last one in the row? I hadnt been in the Barras since about 2009, went this summer and noticed he wasnt there anymore. I think it was a woman a lot of the time but. by Wanbizzle (Fri 27th Oct 2023 12:38pm)
