  • Was in town about a week or two ago and one woman started shouting abuse at us as we walked by for ignoring her. We were across the other side of Buchanan Street from her and never heard her until she started screaming at us by geraltsthiccass (Sun 28th Jun 2020 4:30pm)
  • It's quite scary, I'm dreading going back to work now knowing how bad it is on union street, heard a few stories now about the beggars getting a bit agro and that number 10 is good at being a no show at the best of times too. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 28th Jun 2020 4:43pm)

  • There aren't nearly enough patrols on union street right now. Get my bus home from work across the road from the hotel they're all in and have witnessed them scrapping, blocking buses by walking in the middle of the road, drinking on the street and the other day one woman stole some boys phone off him. This morning I also had to step over blood under the rail bridge where the wee vape shop is so fuck knows what happened there. Scary place up the town just now. by geraltsthiccass (Thu 30th Jul 2020 7:42pm)
  • Charles Rennie on Union Street by geraltsthiccass (Fri 31st Jul 2020 9:04am)
  • I got a taxi with my mum back from the hospital one night and the driver was so cheery until we told him where we were going. He told us his brother was killed by 2 of his mates just down the road from my house back in the 90s. They were involved in the drug wars in Paisley and the southside and i think he said he had grassed someone in but its just stuck with me hearing the hurt in that drivers voice as he told us about it and the part where he said the guys waited at his house for him, even accepting dinner off his wife knowing fine well when he got home it would be the last time she would ever see her husband. They got him to drive them to my street and put 2 bullets in his back before bailing from the car and running through the park to their getaway driver. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 3rd Aug 2020 8:52pm)
  • My mum remembered it happening as well and told us a couple years later the guys who done it were pulled out of the river across the road, i was too young to remember but apparently she had to chase me and my brother into the back garden because she didn't want us seeing the bodies being brought up. Streets calmed right down in recent years though but I still feel for the driver and his family having to go through that, think the driver was in jail to do with it before too unless they had another brother when i looked it up online. Can try link you the article if you want? Not wanting to say the street name publicly or anything by geraltsthiccass (Tue 4th Aug 2020 5:45pm)

  • Dobt think he's had the drums for years now, cant actually remember the last time he actually did anything except stand there with the dance tunes blasting and the dancing cats by geraltsthiccass (Thu 10th Sep 2020 3:34pm)
  • Only ones I've seen have been people with kids dancing in front of the cats, other than that everyone tends to patch him, might be the odd person still for some reason but think most try to keep clear of him by geraltsthiccass (Thu 10th Sep 2020 3:41pm)
  • Boyfriend finally got his money back through PayPal today after over a month of fighting, spent the last half hour looking at reviews and seen everything from waiting hours before being tattooed to offending the autistic community, so many negative reviews, I'm surprised they're still in business by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 1:36pm)
  • Yeah that was one of the reviews I'd read as well, someone paid for a piercing, showed up to get it done and they had no idea what they were on about because they didn't do that one. I really feel for the artists if this is the kind of bullshit they have to put up with on the daily. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:26pm)
  • There's been a few people complaining about the piercings too, one girl got one done and they never used a clamp and pierced the wrong part, she ended up with swelling and bruising and had to take it out, other piercing stories have been people booking online and paying for it but when the day rolls around to go in they're told they don't carry that particular one. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:33pm)
  • I'm not sure on this one myself but they were told the jigsaw piece is offensive (if someone can tell me why please do) and to avoid using it but they went ahead and used it anyway. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:38pm)
  • Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere, I'd recommend somewhere to you but the artist I normally go to left and is looking for another studio just now. I'm sure someone on here though would be able to recommend somewhere to you though where you'll get what you pay for. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:37pm)
  • I normally go to Paul Rogers but hes not in a studio at the moment, been keeping an eye on his insta for him finding a new studio, Toby from Tobys Tattoos in Cambuslang is quite good too and for smaller pieces I like Rebellion of Angels on Cathcart Road by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:45pm)
  • I've heard so many good things about them! by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:59pm)
  • I have no idea, I answered a question with what I knew and copied the review stating it. Reddits funny sometimes but ach well. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:58pm)
  • Theres so many negative reviews its insane and seeing the comments on the post raises further questions on how they're still going by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 2:56pm)
  • The 1st site that popped up when I searched offered this as an explanation to it "The symbol of a bright, colorful, puzzle piece signifies: Confusion and mystery. A problem that needs to be solved. That autism is a childhood disorder. Something that is missing. Confusion and Mystery The word “puzzle” implies that clear answers are not available, that something is not easily understood. Many autistic people don’t feel comfortable branding their identities with the label of something that the world does not understand. Obviously more needs to be discovered about the autistic condition and ways to make the symptoms less disabling. The puzzle piece reminds people about how little is known and encourages them to participate in and contribute to autism events so that hopefully, with more support, more can be revealed about this confusion condition. However, this symbol also reminds autistic people that they, as people, are confusing, which further alienates them from the rest of society. A Problem That Needs to be Solved This symbol also suggests that, like a puzzle, autism can be viewed as a problem that needs to be solved. This perpetuates the idea that there is something wrong with autistic identity. Many autistics like to make distinctions between speaking negatively about autism itself and speaking negatively about specific symptoms. It’s frustrating and discouraging to live your life as if the world thinks there is something wrong with you (not just one particular thing you are doing, but because of who you are). The Idea That Autism is a Childhood Disorder Some autistics dislike the symbol of a colorful puzzle piece because it appears childish. The bright primary colors and image of a “toy” most commonly associate with children identify autism as a childhood disorder and that attention should be paid to how it affects children. But those children grow up and they still are autistic (with the exceptions of the few who claim to have been “cured”), and not enough media attention is paid to the specific supports that are needed post-childhood. Something That is Missing The jigsaw piece also signifies that something is missing. That autistic people are not whole. That they are less than human. But autistic people don’t believe they have something missing. Again, going through life as if the world thinks you are inferior is wearisome and discouraging" by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 3:53pm)

  • Where abouts in the southside are they? I'm desperate for a new tattoo by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 4:05pm)
  • He done my tattoo on my leg and thing still looks great, even the whites lasted in it and i had it done about 8 years ago now by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 4:30pm)
  • Eeeeesh that is saying something, I remember my pal getting her scaffold done at Blancolo and it would not stop bleeding by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 7:21pm)
  • Yeah think my boyfriend was going to them for one of the artists he knows there but he was fucked over so decided to just get a refund and go elsewhere but they ended up blocking his number any time he tried to call about it. Over a month later he finally got his money back through PayPal today after stressing out that they kept pushing the refund date back. Absolute farce. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 14th Sep 2020 9:30pm)

  • They moved to goma by geraltsthiccass (Thu 8th Oct 2020 10:14am)
  • With flu season fast approaching now too I'm worried you may be right there. I dont think they would do a full lockdown like back in March to try save as many businesses as possible but who knows how it'll go by geraltsthiccass (Fri 9th Oct 2020 10:19pm)
  • Judging by the way they were all dolled up to the 9s I'm guessing there's a number of parties on the go just now. I wonder how much longer this lockdown will be extended for and what places will be the next to close. I can definitely see places like taco bell and McDonald's going next with the queues waiting to get in tonight having no distance between them at all and barely a mask in sight or just resting on chins. by geraltsthiccass (Sat 10th Oct 2020 7:46pm)
  • Yeah it was quiet when I 1st went in about 12ish but once I finished work it was jumping at about half 6. Shops are limiting numbers again but it didn't look like that tesco was doing a very good job of it last night and then literally having to dodge crowds to try catch my bus in time too. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 11th Oct 2020 10:10am)
  • I'd say the choice is up to yourself if you want to pursue it or not, £50 can be a lot of money to some (it is to me right now anyway, hurry up payday) so aye, entirely up to you, it took my other half about a month through PayPal to get his money back by geraltsthiccass (Mon 19th Oct 2020 3:41pm)
  • Its happened twice to me in the southside in the past then not directly at me but leaving the display at the green 2 years ago someone chucked one into the crowd, probably happened last year too but we took no chances and dived into the nearest pub to avoid it until the crowds died down. Wee shites having been doing this for years and even after it backfires on them they still continue to do it. by geraltsthiccass (Fri 23rd Oct 2020 9:57am)
  • I just remember the amount of prams that were around when it happened, actual scumbags, what do they even get out of doing that? by geraltsthiccass (Fri 23rd Oct 2020 12:32pm)
  • I remember the face carving in the tree at the off ramp years ago, unfortunately I think someone's destroyed that one but there could be others still about though by geraltsthiccass (Sun 25th Oct 2020 2:29pm)
  • Pollok has been an absolute nightmare for them tonight, got off my bus and had to check what date it was with the amount going off around silverburn. Ended up getting a taxi up the road because I've had them chucked at me up this way before and just didn't want to risk it. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 4th Nov 2020 11:42pm)

  • KFC in Darnley. Ordered from them and they sent the wrong burger and left out some items too, thought I'd try again because maybe it was an off day for them but nope, same situation again the next time. They don't seem to like sending people zinger burgers, gravy or hot wings. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 18th Nov 2020 8:33pm)
  • The amount of bad reviews they have on just eat is mental, I wouldnt be surprised either the amount of orders they've fucked up. Silverburn needs to shift its arse and get kfc added in instead of having to jump that 57 just to make sure you get everything you order. Absolute joke. by geraltsthiccass (Thu 19th Nov 2020 12:52am)
  • Thank you! I'll give it a go by geraltsthiccass (Wed 25th Nov 2020 3:22pm)
  • I miss the Christmas Market cheese like mad now, ordered a few of the whiskey cheddar wheels online but shipping costs are expensive. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 2nd Dec 2020 10:13pm)
  • Was that from ScotCheese? That's where I just ordered from today! Usually order from Arran Cheese website but their shipping is like £7 odd and Christmas shopping has skint me so went hunting for any kind of cheaper alternative by geraltsthiccass (Wed 2nd Dec 2020 10:17pm)
  • I ordered the 4 different Isle of Kintyre whiskey options because I have absolutely no self control whatsoever, the whiskey one is like so creamy usually and just beautiful. I tried to find the irn bru one that was at the market last year but no joy, that one caught me completely by surprise and I ended up going back a few times for more by geraltsthiccass (Wed 2nd Dec 2020 10:23pm)
  • The last part I didnt quite know how to answer because I've had no definitive proof of hostility or anything but my own bloody paranoia has had me on edge that a lot of the questions applied to me but I can't be sure so just went with if it did apply and I wasn't just the human version of one of those wee dogs that just shakes constant. by geraltsthiccass (Thu 3rd Dec 2020 1:20am)
  • I work in town and we were so mobbed today, we had a massive queue outside the shop because we were at capacity, clear as day to see and people still tried to just walk in and kicked off at us for telling them they need to go to the back and wait. No one follows the arrows or stickers on the floor, the majority were wearing masks thankfully but there was still a lot who didn't, wore them under their nose (and in the case of one guy just on his top lip) or pulled them down any time they spoke. The staff use the sanitiser at the door more than the customers do too. Barely anyone listens, barely anyone cares and the closer we get to Christmas the worse it's gonna get too. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 13th Dec 2020 12:37am)

  • Just off the phone to my dad (he's a wee old man now and has fallen a few times even just at home lately) and had a painful time trying to help him download the snappy shopper app out of fear he'd try go to the shop for his paper and deck it going down the stairs in his garden and do himself in. Was unfortunately too late today for my step mum since she had already went out when I was on the phone but thankfully she's a lot more fit than him so hoping she makes it back without any slips. Looks lethal out just now by geraltsthiccass (Mon 4th Jan 2021 3:15pm)
  • Up my way its a joke. Any time they've been theres always a trail of rubbish scattered about the roads and pavements after they've left and they don't pick up bags left tied up beside the bins when they're full which is smashing because the birds and the foxes end up tearing them open which leads to more mess all over the place. by geraltsthiccass (Tue 12th Jan 2021 3:14pm)
  • Everyone I've seen in the yellow practice has been amazing. Dr Maguire was beyond helpful with me just last week. Been diagnosed with depression and she listened to me when I said I wasn't willing to do counselling for it again and she helped me find the right medication and allowed me to sit until I'd pulled myself together enough to leave. Sister Everett is also amazing when it comes to my asthma checkups, flu jabs and implant replacement. by geraltsthiccass (Tue 16th Feb 2021 6:35pm)
  • I'm amazed they didn't follow this up with "wake up sheeple" like they didn't just read it in a WhatsApp message sent by their mental auntie Lynn by geraltsthiccass (Wed 17th Feb 2021 1:56pm)
  • Was gonna say not everyones an arse, hell my local before they turned it into a funeral parlour was sound, rangers and celtic fans having wee digs at each other during games but still able to sit and have a pint with each other and be pals at the end of the day but thats not newsworthy,. Football fans get such a bad rap because its the loudest and largest cunts that make the papers, the majority are sound but its the arseholes you always hear about giving the rest of us a bad name by geraltsthiccass (Sat 6th Mar 2021 4:01pm)
  • Ach was possibly able to help you there, got a pal with the same name as you. No one you know in Glasgow so far willing to lend a hand? by geraltsthiccass (Thu 8th Apr 2021 9:24pm)
  • You originally from Falkirk by any chance? by geraltsthiccass (Thu 8th Apr 2021 9:21pm)
  • We kinda have signs like this or at least someone in Parkhead has a sign up on a lamppost saying "want to start yoga? Start by bending over and picking up your dog shit. Known as the downward dog position, then put it in the bin" by geraltsthiccass (Thu 8th Apr 2021 11:08pm)
  • Someone posted about them on r/Scotland about a week ago. These cunts blame porn for Ted Bundy and say sex ed in schools will turn kids into serial killers, they have a video about it on YouTube, its fucking wild by geraltsthiccass (Wed 21st Apr 2021 12:18am)
  • Pete Road roundabout by far! Fences are dented around it from various crashes and for the longest time someone's bumper was in the patch of grass at the back of the swimming close to it. Feels like there's always flowers and banners and stuff at that roundabout. by geraltsthiccass (Thu 29th Apr 2021 3:10am)
  • I stay right by the dams near enough, like literally walking distance from my house and I've yet to actually go myself. My neighbour is forever cycling up there and I see all his photos on fb and it looks beautiful but I've still never been and I'm about to move to the opposite end of Glasgow. Really need to go one day I'm off. by geraltsthiccass (Fri 7th May 2021 11:13pm)

  • Posted this on fb to let mates and family know, thank you so much! I got my 1st on Friday there with the only side effect being a sore arm but thats been it. Other half and a few pals have underlying health problems but have heard nothing yet, their doctors have even commented that they should have heard a while back about their 1st dose but absolutely nothing. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 23rd May 2021 9:41pm)
  • Well thanks to you they're phoning up tomorrow and no longer waiting about for a letter that might be ages before it arrives. Thank you so much, wee legend. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 23rd May 2021 9:47pm)
  • We had a guy come up to us last year asking for 10p for the bus, pal managed to scrape together 30p for him and the guy stared at it in his hand and said "what the fuck is this mate? I'm trying to get a fucking pint, how the fuck am I getting anything with this?" by geraltsthiccass (Wed 26th May 2021 5:37pm)

  • Done it twice and it was hellish, couldn't get a wink of sleep but its cheap though so can't really complain too much although think in future I'd just pay extra for the train or take a flight instead. Pal also got left behind at the services (I still take the piss out him for that one) and just got the driver to stop in time before driving off without him so if there's a big queue at the services for the loo give it a miss and risk the toilet on the bus which you most likely will smell throughout your journey if sat too close to it. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 19th Jul 2021 11:55pm)
  • Number 10 driver I had earlier was amazing. Made sure no one got on without a mask unless exempt and was handing out masks to anyone who "forgot" theirs. He had some covidiot come on just after the quay that insisted covid was over so he told him where to go, its been over a year now how does he not get it yet then switched the bus off til he got back off. Only other time I've seen a driver actually enforce the mask mandate was a guy who would angrily shout "mask" at people. A lot of the drivers can't be arsed enforcing it which is fucking shocking considering they have to ferry multiple people about in an enclosed space all day, I'd be fucking bricking it if it were me even with the wee window bit up. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 21st Jul 2021 1:32am)

  • Can't remember the name of it but there was a hairdressers just by the shopping centre in EK, one of the stylists came into my work with her daughter and the both of them had gorgeous looking very colourful hair. I'll have a wee Google and see if its still about and try get you the name if someone doesn't realise and reply the name before me. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 22nd Aug 2021 9:56pm)
  • Few years back me and my ex were looking at flats in Paisley. Think it was Castle were showing us around a few. There was one flat they took us to view near the morrisons at the canal, can't remember the street name but on paper it sounded OK just no pictures though. When the agent took us in the place was almost bare save a dirty looking TV unit and tattered old couch in the living room but that wasn't the worst. When he showed us the bedroom there was a stained mattress on the floor, a babies basket in the corner and a load of rubbish and dirty nappies beside the mattress. Flat was actually disgusting looking and was shocking thinking someone was living in it with a baby and leaving shitty nappies right beside where they slept, couldn't believe they actually showed us that place and expected anyone would be interested in it in that state. by geraltsthiccass (Thu 26th Aug 2021 3:38pm)
  • I'm sure I remember reading a comment about an actual hawk guy who deals with seagulls here. Someone linked his site on a post about a guys neighbour they called the seagull man thats caused a bunch of shite at their flats by throwing rubbish in the neighbouring flats back and the bastards waking everyone up by diving for it. Sounded like the worst superhero and bad guy combo ever. Gotham gets batman and the joker and glasgow gets fucking hawkman and seagull guy by geraltsthiccass (Fri 27th Aug 2021 4:06pm)
  • Aye! Seen pictures of crow guy before and think someone said there was a 2nd crow guy. Ladybird guy hasn't been to catty in ages now, at least not seen him in what must have been at least a year or two before lockdown, just sorta vanished by geraltsthiccass (Fri 27th Aug 2021 5:38pm)

  • Other half lives round the corner so used to pass along that road going to and from work. Didn't seem too bad at all, 2 comes like every 10mins or so that takes you into town, train station isn't too far either. There's aldi and tesco there too but if you prefer asda its not too far to get to the one at the forge. by geraltsthiccass (Tue 31st Aug 2021 2:56pm)

  • Nah megabus takes about 12 hours but its because it stops in like Manchester and that to pick up more people or at least it made a few stops last time I got it but then again it also took longer than the 12 hours because as soon as we reached London the cunt took someone's wingmirror off and waited ages for the guy to turn up. Wait felt even longer cause of the impatient prick a few seats in front of us ranting to his pal that its taking too long and constantly tapping his phone against the window. Fuck megabus, never again. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 1st Sep 2021 8:38pm)

  • Patch it, used to work in silverburn and a few staff parked at tesco and got the same letter and some pals have had it too when shopping and grabbing food or cinema and nothings ever came of it. • Served Boaby a bottle of vodka when I worked at tesco, he was sound but I'm raging I never came up with some witty remark about it. Served Tam twice and he was pretty dour faced. Mary doll seemed alright as well. I've heard nothing but good things about Iza and Karen Dunbar as well although never met either. Iza used to teach in my school and still recognises and chats away to some of her old students from my school and Karen is apparently absolutely mental but in the best possible way, just as funny as all her characters irl. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 8th Sep 2021 8:12pm)
  • Castle are fucking cunts, heard nothing but bad from them. Definitely check out southside though! Loads of bus links and if you do like Govan area or Ibrox you have the underground too, closer to city centre it tends to get a bit pricey but could even do Paisley as well and the train from gilmour street can have you in town in about 15mins by geraltsthiccass (Wed 8th Sep 2021 8:25pm)
  • Its not a problem at all, wishing you all the best and hope castle doesn't cause you any more of a headache than they already have, I'm so sorry this has been your first experience of living here. Good luck at uni and all the best! by geraltsthiccass (Wed 8th Sep 2021 8:35pm)

  • Waiting on the x8 at silverburn, was due at 12:12 and there was no sign of it, had to get a taxi in today or I'd have been late for work and don't get me started on that 60 as well, had 2 no shows one night when I was doing a shift at the fort, over an hour waiting for a bus just to get home. First is a fucking joke of a company. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 4th Oct 2021 2:44pm)
  • Does anyone know what bus routes will be effected by this? I work in the city centre but usually bus in from silverburn, as far as I'm aware the x8 is probably out if these protesters are blocking the motorway and trains are potentially fucked too due to strikes but want to know if PRW will be effected for the 10 or not? Also at college and was told by lecturers during induction Glasgow is apparently going into a mini lockdown for the duration of COP26 but I've heard absolutely nothing from work and found nothing online about this. Just curious if anyone has any more info at all on this if its just colleges closing or what? by geraltsthiccass (Wed 6th Oct 2021 10:49pm)

  • This one isn't brexit related as far as I'm aware, taxi drivers were in less demand during lockdown and went to seek other employment to keep afloat and decided to stick with their new employment rather than going back. Think with the increase in card payments over cash lately as well has caused a few drivers bother, I know I had a driver anyway that ranted and raved about having nothing but card hires all morning and how he was gonna quit if his next hire was also card (felt proper guilty for being a card hire myself after that). As for the buses I haven't a scooby what the deal is there, I've only read online that they plan to cut back the number of some buses that circulate per day due to a lack of drivers but couldn't tell you the reasoning for everyone leaving though but I imagine its just like that other person said and first are just really shit to work for. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 13th Oct 2021 6:10pm)
  • The responses to my comment have been some eye-opener for me, never even realised before they were tax dodgers and now feel less guilty for paying card. That guy made that whole journey so fucking awkward after that, was heading into work and got stuck just after the quay for ages with him because of the workies blocking a lane with their van at the new barclays building. Got in and tried talking but almost immediately got hit with his rage at card payments so was sat in awkward silence the rest of the journey just desperate to finally get into town. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 13th Oct 2021 11:50pm)
  • This, exactly this. I was found and rushed to hospital, my family began treating me so differently as well which made everything that much more difficult plus my mum screaming at me calling me every name under the sun while crying her eyes out in fear that she was gonna lose me hit me really hard with guilt. • Its because that mcgills 3 is the same stop as it and they arrive so close together, they need to change the stand of one of them rather than have them both show up at once and either you wait ages til the 3 changes drivers like I've just done there or end up like yourself and don't spot that the x8 has went to the one beside it by geraltsthiccass (Mon 25th Oct 2021 12:17pm)

Couple doesn't bother to call their dog back when it runs over to us and just sorta laughs while we're stood there, bf holding his clubs and me my chains, both on fire, away from the dog so it doesn't get hurt. It kept running away then running back over and over again. The only sorry we actually got was after the dog proceeded to pee on my bf's bag. Dog eventually spotted a group eating nearby and ran over to them in an attempt to steal their food. Couple still didn't leash their dog, think they successfully managed to piss off half the park by time they were finished their walk. by geraltsthiccass (Sat 20th Nov 2021 1:06am)

  • Just for sheer curiosities sake please get a greggs while here and report back how you found it. Its not like a big sit in fancy restaurant, does like various pastries and cakes to take away. I just remembered seeing another American screaming on about how amazing steak bakes are so curiosity is piqued to see if you enjoy it equally as much. As for any blue lagoon suggestions I'd wait til you're good and pished before going there as it's the only time it's actually enjoyable. There's plenty of far better chippies out there. If it says how many minutes until the bus is due is most likely to turn up whereas if it says the exact time its due chances are its gonna be a no show. If you want a recommendation for cooking a mars bar though try slicing a banana in half and putting nutella and chopped up mars bar in the middle, wrap it in tinfoil then fling it on the barbecue and serve with ice cream once it's ready, pals dad used to do that for us when we were wee and it was the best! by geraltsthiccass (Wed 6th Apr 2022 12:53am)
  • Something I noticed with the prebooking through the app is it waits until about 5-10mins before you'd booked your car to collect you before the notification pops up saying your booking has been created. Like I'd booked a car for 3am a few weeks back before even leaving my house to go out, gets to about 2.50am when I get a notification saying my booking had been created and about 3.30am before the next one saying driver is on its way. It just seems to completely defeat the purpose of prebooking if the driver isn't gonna be there at the time you'd booked for, fuck GlasGO! by geraltsthiccass (Sat 16th Apr 2022 9:52pm)

He then tells us he's looking for a couple of quid to get himself a few cans before he moves on to the next city as hes homeless by choice and normally busks in each city he goes to to get the cash together for a cheap place to sleep. The next one though was a guy who asked us for 10p towards his bus fare. Pal handed him 30p and he looked at the money in his hand and said "the fuck is that? How the fuck am I supposed to get a pint with that? Fucking cheap prick" and he fucked off mumbling away to himself about how much an arsehole my pal was for giving him literally 3x the amount he asked for. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 20th Apr 2022 11:37am)

Not sure if there's any markets on anymore either, used to love going to the one in Govan and getting a big caramel cake to take home and a burger while we were there and I mind my dad taking me to one near Clarkston where we got ostrich sausage before but it's been years so no idea if either of them still run by geraltsthiccass (Sun 1st May 2022 12:16am)

(Been years since my nephew outgrew soft plays so unsure if that's the name or if it's another soft play called that) I also second the science centre, the smallest kid might be too young but the 3 year old will definitely get a kick out of it and there is some stuff the 1 year old will enjoy about it too. As for food places you're spoiled for choice in Glasgow, pick a cuisine and you'll get a load of suggestions, just don't listen to the cunts saying best kebab by geraltsthiccass (Mon 13th Jun 2022 9:48pm)

Had no idea until this thread why they were protesting outside it, like I knew banks were cunts but holy shit by geraltsthiccass (Mon 20th Jun 2022 10:26pm)

  • I just want her to have people celebrate her. Some people on here are absolutely lovely and even a passing congrats has made this girls night so far. She's cried because of how her night has gone so far and call me daft for it but I have faith that some kind souls in passing might help turn her night around by geraltsthiccass (Thu 7th Jul 2022 8:37pm)
  • Thank you so much, I got her on Instagram and I'll pass the well wishes on, she was so happy with what I managed to do for her before I had to leave. I've had terrible birthdays where people have bailed but at least I get 1 of those a year, a graduation is a once in a lifetime event unless you decide to go back again, she wants to help those with mental health issues and I think that's a beautiful thing she's doing, she deserves all the celebration she gets by geraltsthiccass (Thu 7th Jul 2022 8:52pm)

  • I had no idea that happened til this post, I always thought the arches closed because of the amount of drugs going about and a bunch of underage lassies getting in. I'm so sure I remember reading a news article about a lassie ODing that was only about 15 or something which lead to its licence being pulled by geraltsthiccass (Sat 9th Jul 2022 10:43am)

  • St enoch has a bunch of rides outside it just now, think I saw a rollercoaster in the car park at the back of it too. There's also a bunch of arcade pubs you could visit too if you fancy sone DDR and street fighter. Loads of nice restaurants about too to grab food in and if you fancied trying out d&d there's a few groups who do one shots you could go to. Transport museum and the tall ship are a good wee day out too and the science centre is always a blast. Loads of axe throwing places dotted about town now too and someone was telling me about an archery place in town that's supposed to be really good, I'll ask my mate where it is exactly if that appeals to you at all by geraltsthiccass (Tue 12th Jul 2022 12:53pm)
  • Speaking to a pal from NY about this and he said a bunch of people are leaving after the abortion ban now so possibly that for the Americans. Can't speak for the Canadians though, not a scooby what's sending them over here although the ones I've met so far are all retired so possibly a change of scenery for their retirement? by geraltsthiccass (Tue 19th Jul 2022 2:18pm)
  • Was on the x8 into town and the bus turned before the stop at the end of Bothwell Street leading to groans from some, confusion from others and then one absolute hero shouting "FUCK OFF BATMAN" from the back of the bus somewhere. Take a guess why the bus was diverted. by geraltsthiccass (Wed 20th Jul 2022 4:58pm)

  • I've put my name down for an email when they're in my area, someone in work was telling me they're pretty cheap compared to others which if true then geez it cause I'm feeling robbed by virgin right now with their constant increases. Was £18 when I signed up for them and now just under £50, fucking joke but sky were atrocious and not heard good things about other providers I know of. Want to see what this new mob are gonna be like when it's available by geraltsthiccass (Thu 1st Sep 2022 1:25pm)
  • Could give tesco a try and see if they increased their amount to cash out? Think when I worked for them it was capped at £200 though but that was years back, might be different now. Failing that then maybe a postie in town might have more they can cash out? by geraltsthiccass (Thu 1st Sep 2022 2:04pm)
  • Its the amount its increased over a few short years, we got the fibre cables put in our street in like 2018 I want to say? Immediately jumped to them because the sky was crapping out constantly and their solution to try keep us was giving us a new box every few months but still did fuck all, was constantly disconnecting and dealing with buffering. Guy from virgin came to the door once they layed the cables and signed us up at £18 a month for just fibre, which don't get me wrong, it works fantastic with very little issues compared to sky but fuck me, £48 now a month now by geraltsthiccass (Thu 1st Sep 2022 2:02pm)
  • Think the only ones that'll be in town are people who don't realise most places are closed and people piling in to any pubs staying open. He was confused by the tea, yeeted a bit of tempura across the table trying to use chopsticks for the 1st time and managed get more sauce over his chin and his t-shirt than in his mouth. • Not me but my pal worked for like tech support or something. He got a call from this guy saying his pc won't turn on after he plugged his router in so 1st question was the usual "is it plugged in?" Guy blew the fuck up. "WHAT DO YOU FUCKING MEAN IS IT PLUGGED IN OF COURSE ITS PLUGGED IN DO YOU THINK IM FUCKING STUPID, DO YOU THINK IM A FUCK SPA-" he stops the tirade and falls silent for a second before sheepishly saying "oh... it wasn't plugged in..." then hangs up. • Homeless guy came up to us sat outside the pub asking for change. Before we could even answer he goes into his life story, girlfriend just had a baby, she kicked him out and he named her Theresa. He then asked if we wanted to know why he named her that and here we're sat thinking he's maybe really religious like mother Theresa or something but no. "Cause a fuckin love N-Dubz!" At that moment, another homeless guy comes up with a box of chips and offers them to the guy and he turns to us again saying "see this? People make Glasgow!" And the 2 of them staggered away up the street, arms over each others shoulders, singing at the top of their lungs. We couldn't even get a chance to check for change, he just vanished. Another one outside the same pub. Guy comes up and immediately hits us with all these terrible dad jokes. So bad we couldn't help laughing. He then admits to us he's another motive now he's provided some laughs. He's homeless by choice as he travels about busking from city to city until he's enough to get himself a bus ticket to the next stop and something to eat. He was looking for change to get himself a few tinnies while he waited for his next bus. He was honest and provided a laugh so we gave what we could. Hope he's doing alright wherever he may be now. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 26th Jun 2023 11:08pm)

Big eared wee cunt sped out the room the second we started shouting out the cities he's travelled to in the last few years during what was supposed to be 45mins of questioning him on the cuts but ended up barely even 10 with only about 5 questions "answered". He gave pure politicians answers as well, blaming the government, comparing the college to universities, taking absolutely 0 accountability. That college is losing some of the best lecturers it'll ever see, dropping classes down to 2 hours long and cutting so much else it's honestly a wonder if it's even worth going to particularly if you have any practical classes. by geraltsthiccass (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 11:49pm)

I'd really consider it before it's too late to apply for one unless you're willing to work weekends and evenings somewhere to get by. £1000 is just your bursary, you'll get like £90 odd a month from it too rather than all at once. by geraltsthiccass (Sun 13th Aug 2023 4:39pm)

Last time I had it was 2 years ago and I was floored with it. Got a bunch of bodyshop stuff and was sniffing it every half hour in the hopes I'd actually be able to smell it even slightly. I'm not sure how it works if it floors you before will it be the same again or can you be asymptomatic the next time you get it and I've had it without knowing at some point recently. It's definitely doing the rounds again anyway so you're definitely not alone with it. by geraltsthiccass (Fri 15th Sep 2023 9:08pm)
