Uber wanted £28 this morning yes £28 quid to take me from Oatlands to shawlands. GlasGo are a joke can never get a taxi for shit anymore. £4.80 before u even go anywhere (I know £1 of that goes to them and not the driver) also when you pay with card I've been told 1st hand several times a lot will just refuse the job as there not getting the cash in there hand and have to wait x amount of days to be paid. by tattooedmermaid1 (Mon 28th Mar 2022 5:21pm)

Yeah defo, I have bad anxiety, which is why I use taxis a lot to avoid public transport. I never got any digit or email confirmation? When I pressed to process the payment, it gave me the error page on how they are experiencing huge trafficking on the site with meter readings, etc, but the money has been taken. BTW just in case, it applies to anyone here if you have any gas or electric debt and with Scottish power and on benefits you can apply to the Scottish power hardship fund and they can help clear most if not all the accumulated debt. Just Google it and fill out ur details. Sorry, this made me LOL thinking back to an experience my late brother had. This is so scary and thanks so much for the heads up. I don't do gear myself but know so many people who do. It's crazy as I was just speaking to a friend and said that I think I know more people who do it than don't, a lot are people you honestly wouldn't ever expect either. Exactly my mum died of an accidental OD to gabapentine and subutex. I watched her battle addiction to over the counter and prescription medication my whole life, often bening kept off school to try help her get shit in the places that wouldn't serve her. I think all housings work on a points based system. So the more points you have the further up the list you go. You get extra points for overcrowding, medical conditions, if the property ur in has damp or other structural problems. If your leaving a domestic or abusive relationship or have other welfare needs. I didn't get that "rush of pure love" they all talk about I remember holding my son for the very 1st time and I felt terrified. I feel its never easy for a woman to speak about these feelings and struggles although I'm glad alot more women and men are aware of the struggles now and look out for it to try and help. When I told my gp back all them years that I felt like killing myself as I was certain my baby was evil and when he cried he was literally trying to push me over the edge. She looked at me and said "go home and sleep, that's all you need" in a voice that haunts me to this day. I was in the army and get a small pension each month like its not much at all but because I do get it I'm not entitled to the clothing grant or alot of the payments other single mums get. I was in the army for 12 years and get a shite poxy pension for being injured in Iraq, I was a nurse and some rag head stabbed me with a bloody syringe and i had to undergo profolaxis treatment incase I'd been infected with HIV or another blood born disease I was only 19 at the time and it was horrendous so yeah I have PTSD and shit as a result and I have major health anxiety. I was in the army for 12 years I've slept on camp beds, holes dug in the soil of freezing cold forests while on exercise. I've slept for 6 months on a bed smaller than a single with a mattress that we used to have to put roll mats under just to make them that little bit thinner while serving in Iraq. Sky news report never mentioned that, and I do believe that must be part of the reason but I also fully believe that companies and manufacturers are taking the absolute piss with increasing the cost of these kind of essentials and blaming it on inflation etc in a disgusting bid to profit out of people's misery as they know things like baby formula is absolutely something that can't not be bought by the millions of people with babies and young children who are on the follow up milk and stuff. It's been many years since I had to buy formula but I looked at the price after reading the sky news report and was shocked to see the Aptimal formula my Daughter had to use as she needed the comfort one for acid reflux is £18 a tub!! I'm sure back then it was £10/£12 max? Also, I never got these vouchers or milk tokens people have mentioned, perhaps because I and my now ex-husband both worked? But I looked at what the families get now, and yes, something is better than nothing, but it's also pretty pointless when it doesn't cover the cost of these massively inflated essentials.
