I stayed in a very similar setting and used to love Friday and Saturday night boxing watching from the window safe from stray hooks even a couple of bets on, pink shirt always losses don't ask me why just was the case. Delivery drivers actively avoid they door bells for reasons I am curious about (got a thing for random useless knowledge that dosent even serve in pub quizzes) however what I do have is a super friendly delivery driver no idea what company he is with but always comes with amazon no idea if they are their own or hermes or that. Anyway I was ready for the shop Friday going for beers and I don't mess about in that senario so I've got the key in the lock he says that's good timing and I say it's really not am on a mission and this is a delay (in a jokey manner said about the beer run) he laughed while taking the picture then offered a lift to the shop I refused as the power marching helps build a thirst. But the wee chap now waves every time he sees me even when he's no working I seen him down the town and waved and when he is dropping off stuff we have a blether so the next time I do see him I shall ask this very question why ignore the ring doorbell. What do former train drivers leave to become other than retired even at that I can't remember the last time I seen an old driver they look middle aged usually not that I go peeping in the cabs but I get on and of at the end of the line so I see the drivers come and go for their cuppa? But yeah this morning my train cancelled for lack of crew for it apparently... The railways will have Union rules that date back to the yesteryears when working actually made you money. Scotrail being an employer in the modern world will be wanting to pay people peanuts but because of the union they are met with some opposition to that idea as the people in the union will have this crazy idea that work should pay, and because of old contracts being good where people could make over time offering new staff a watered down contract would also be no use to the union. And rightfully so why should person A get more money and time off than the newer dude even though they have the same title and job. That'd be fair enough if it was a time spent thing, youv been here 20 years but that should in that case it should be an added bonus but the base rate remaining the same for all kinda thing. Mate I'm the kind of dude that would pay good money to be in solitary confinement. Peace n quiet or stick an ear phone in and listen to something. My biggest weakness is a window... Can sit and look out a window all day literally TV and window right next to each other and folk will burst out laughing at the telly n I've missed it cause I was looking oot the window. Back at the school teachers got wise to this and purposely sat me anywhere else (usually at the teachers table lol) because I thought a seagull trying to get a worm out the grass was more interesting than the class. The morning closest to Christmas they come for the bins you stoat out and give the guy who's taking your bin a handshake and thank you here's a round for me, aiming a round for the team in the day 2-4 doing the bins n the driver. However it's a tip and a 5er went a long way in the day probably bought a good round in the days this was the norm. But yeah they are not looking for individual tips or handshakes the 5er and thanks lads will be over the top these days haha. They split but to answer your question in sureness. It's not like air haulers don't know this. Fed Ex used to be huge at the airport used to be lines of their jumbos sitting. Now it's just the odd polarair. The haulers and the airlines are not daft and for some reason haulage didn't work, maybe milked too hard beyond my time to know I just remember them being there could be shipping got cheaper and faster for all I know. Then airlines have been and gone even Ryanair isnt flying as much from there as it used to other operators try but it never seems to get the footfall. As for the expansion idea no not cheaply there is a village on one side thats pretty much all listed buildings, then the A77 on the other, a town that's had no room to grow for the last 20 years thats over inflated the house prices (that village also suffers this plus the rich boys from the factories competing for the houses in that village so they don't have to drive their top range BMWs half a mile) then on the last side there is another major road the Ayr to Glasgow trainline and a golf course that people from movie stars to presidents have played on. However within the boundaries they have yeah they could build up on that but if the Antanov can land there then most other cargo planes more modern won't struggle. Also alot of the ground around that village has been rumoured for a super hospital when n if Ayr and Crosshouse hospital are done. (awaiting they are done already lol). So in short non of that ground is going to be cheap or feasible to build up n over. And the haulage industry ain't intrested and the airlines don't get the footfall. Winter like now that airports dead every flight is just baccy smugglers literally every passanger and they could be arms smugglers cause its deed no one to stop you just a hope Spanish authorities don't take a siesta at night. Yeah Prestwick deals with emergencies, been a few planes diverted there after bomb scares even a Dublin to Paris plane got diverted to Prestwick once a fair detour if your sitting on something that's for exploding lol. Also the military has a keen interest in the airport and I'm pretty certain the American military even holds a minority stake in the airport(may not no more). This time of year 100% Loch Doon its one of my favourite go to's. That said in the hot weather no chance would I take the wean not that age anyway it can really put the wild into wild camping once the sun starts beating down, the glesga fair it can go especially wild, nice folk usually everyone's there for a good time mostly but aye it gets wild and the polis are a long way away. That all said if you get a good spot where you can keep yourself to yourself then I'd say you'd be absolutely fine just when it gets hot everyone has the same idea of going and a good few of them go knowing the polis are a long way off it attracts literally all types tbh. Aye been through this exact same scenario. I just didn't pay it and used that money to get a private let. Council still moan about it and ask for it occasionally but not a chance will I be paying that much for a room. It's pretty much like Rightmove but your talking directly to landlords and not some middleperson jobs worth that will make you do applications, credit checks and all that other bullshit just for the flat to become delisted an hour later. The flat I am in just now was on Rightmove no smokers no pets. Landlord said he never put that in the description, I smoke weed in the place and he knows fine well aslong as the rents paid and it's kept in good order he has no fucks what I do within the place. Proper old fashioned landlord. Roof leak reported on the Saturday ladder monkey was out on the Monday washing machine broke replaced a couple of days later too, if I had letting agents to go through these problems would have taken even longer.
