  • Apologies if this has been posted before, but it's coming up to the first home fund date and figured it was a good time to ask! by BitZlip (Fri 19th Mar 2021 11:53pm)
  • New Builds are just insane right now. Stupidly expensive for a house that is 1/5th the size of a 60k house. My mum moved into one about 5 years ago and it's already showing signs of needing major work done due to the foundations + All the "Features" attached to the property aren't serviceable anymore. Would rather go for something tried and tested. by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:49am)
  • Thanks very much! Yeah we've spoken to our Mortgage advisor that said the same about the lawyers, he's recommended a few that they've worked with so quite comfortable on that front! Guess we'll just keep trying! by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:47am)
  • We have done so, so far the max I can borrow is about 40k, the first home fund helps top that up to get us a place around 60k, issue comes when the house isn't valued that high and we need to front the cash ourselves. It's a continuous loop. I wouldn't be using the first home fund if I had the money to buy a property at above market value :)) by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:46am)
  • Thanks mate, appreciate you responding! by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:45am)
  • Yeah we're finding it a bit of an annoyance now. First we had to get the deposit together, then we had to find out the fee for the first home fund is about £550, then you need the mortgage advisor to take you through your options as we're clueless, then you need the legal fees to actually submit the offer. It's far to expensive, then add on that you need MORE than what your deposit is to begin with just to be noticed. It's mental! by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:45am)
  • Dunno who the fuck is doing it. It’s driving the prices through the roof. My usual approach to this is if you want a 100k house. Why are you looking at 59 grand flats and inflating their value by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:24pm)
  • Paisley mostly Tons going round that way for cheap. by BitZlip (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:22pm)
  • None of the flats I've ever rented are on that lol. by BitZlip (Wed 31st Mar 2021 5:02pm)
  • Left the heater on in the room last night by accident but closed the door to keep the cats out. Yeah.... You can guess how that's went, everything is hot to the touch. My desk, my chair. Jesus all my chocolate is melted. It's rather glorious. by BitZlip (Tue 6th Apr 2021 7:31am)
  • What a name he wear prada? by BitZlip (Tue 6th Apr 2021 9:22am)
  • Aw naw was in the spare room. Never affected me. If I slept in that my throat wouldn't exist anymore, to shreds I'd say. by BitZlip (Tue 6th Apr 2021 9:21am)
  • Had my next door neighbours trying that one on me. Moved into a flat, they came to the door saying I owed them £150. Said naw I didn't I just moved in and had no idea who they were. They said, well someone does in the flat and they want it back. Maintained my innocence, eventually seemed deflated enough to realize that I'm not gonna give someone £150 at the door and left to start fighting each other outside. a hate other people man. by BitZlip (Tue 13th Apr 2021 4:07pm)
  • > Oh not me, he would have got fuck all money off me. how? ye'd be knocked out on the ground pockets perfect for rifling by BitZlip (Tue 13th Apr 2021 4:27pm)
  • Off topic slightly, but it's fucking mental as some cunt that's trying to buy, how many landlords are selling properties out from under the damn tenants living there. Effectively you get the house for about £37,000 and still get their monthly rent paid to you, about £450-£500 a month. Criminal in my book. by BitZlip (Sun 25th Apr 2021 11:32pm)
  • Alright mate, first time buyer here. Have been bidding on about 11 properties so far, did the asking price, outbid on every one by about 20-25% I've been speaking to property owners out and about. Mental the market just now. Speaking to a family in a 2 bed, they're wanting to sell their house and move to a 3 bed, no option but to sell it to the landlord pricks at 25% over because the house they're trying to go for is also going for that amount over, so they need all the cash they can get obviously. It's ruthless just now. by BitZlip (Wed 28th Apr 2021 2:21pm)
  • Yes, I moved away from Three about 3 years ago (lol) to go to EE. Haven't had an issue since. Fuck Three. by BitZlip (Fri 30th Apr 2021 4:22pm)
  • The amount of takeaways that open up excellent. Then end up shite is too fucking high. Cafe India in south side was one of the best till I swear they changed the kebab meat supplier. by BitZlip (Fri 30th Apr 2021 10:19pm)
  • Another good lad gone. 4th guy from my high school has committed suicide. Lost for words. Fucking sin. That’s 4/4 for cunts most unlikely to do themselves in. Genuinely don’t know who’s at it these days. Can’t tell. Speechless. by BitZlip (Sat 1st May 2021 1:41am)
  • That's another mate of mine just been hit with Covid again. Had it last year too. Am like that cunt from lord of the rings, abandon yer posts, abandon all hope upon seeing Saurons COVID army walking over the hills. Think we'll see what a 4th wave at this point with everyones "Herd immunity" wearing off now. by BitZlip (Tue 11th May 2021 9:35am)
  • Commuter belt mate. People need somewhere to stay to get to their jobs in the town which pay a fuckton. Your where they need to be. It's getting more and more further out. I'm into Paisley now and it's the same situation here. by BitZlip (Tue 11th May 2021 3:09pm)
  • > There's a lot of those out there at shop windows. They're breaking a very stupid law. Where, av genuinely never seen that before. Asked my mate just there and he confirmed it's store policy to not do that. Chances are you've caught it during a swap or someone was too run off their feet. Either way. NOT the same as driving on the pavements. by BitZlip (Tue 11th May 2021 3:14pm)
  • How long you been here? Or are you a local that believed Tourist pish? by BitZlip (Tue 11th May 2021 3:12pm)
  • Paisley, shite place, 56k. 6k over home report. Fucking brutal right now with Landlords snapping up everything by BitZlip (Tue 11th May 2021 5:03pm)
  • >So fuck anyone who tries to dictate how I take control of my own safety and my level of earnings for a very dangerous job. I won't follow the law because no one else is. Calm doon mad max. by BitZlip (Tue 11th May 2021 5:21pm)
  • Again, not the same as driving on a pavement. by BitZlip (Wed 12th May 2021 8:13am)
  • It's not the same thing mate. Please can you have a word with yourself. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 1:56pm)
  • Why the fuck do people keep saying this. Celebrating a club is not the same as a political protest or a protest against government action. Stop being a victim. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 4:52pm)
  • Just cunts with no consideration for anyone else. Look at some of the fans responses. They actively wank off to the fact that they're triggering cunts and giving people a headache. Imagine your entire life, all that government investment, all that evolution and you decided to put it all into annoying other cunts. It's a fucking waste. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 4:57pm)
  • > Before you down vote ... The virus see both things as big crowds.... I agree with the protesting, just two wrong don't make a right, even if it was a good thing Gotcha, so it's perfectly sound to kill folk to celebrate a club. Is that how low the bar is? Might aswell just end lockdown the morra, who cares at this rate when people just excuse their behavour with smooth brain shit takes like this. "BUT THE LAST ONE NEVER HAD ANY CASE RISES" Oh piss off, you and I both know that there's fans and people out there that won't bother getting tested. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 4:55pm)
  • > "aye you can break the rules when I think its okay to but its not when I don't like it" Course you can. Not all protests are the same. Trying to pretend yer the same as Rosa Parks now mate aye? Imagine that, the eternal victimhood of rangers fans fully comes out. If they can protest and go outside then so can we, hey everyone look at us! Like, wind yer neck in and realize yer just an embarrassment and everycunt is actually laughing at you. You're not a majority and the only thick fucks that agree with people like you are in the same echo chamber getting downvoted to fuck and called out in every direction. Notice how it's been a pattern, it's you cunts that are called Glasgows shame at every single damn direction, and you feed of it cause you're just all warped fucked cunts that can't live without it. Look who is around you, look at who you're allying yourself with. Maybe realize you've got this one wrong mate. Absolute "are we the baddies" scene coming from ye. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:02pm)
  • Fuck mate I agree with what he said and I'm scheme born and bred by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:00pm)
  • VL? Mate your entire clubs full of yer own cousins, back to yer sewer. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:13pm)
  • You didn't, you said both were wrong? That's what I'm disputing, both aren't wrong because context matters. Ps, you didn't get shit. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:12pm)
  • Canny be classist against my self what the fuck are you on about. At it's root it's a way for the upper class to put down the lower. I'm lower and having self reflection even I can see this shite. I'm related to at least 4 cunts that went to that thing today. There's nothing wrong with calling out the failings of your own class and how it deals with issues in the community. Most lads are driven into football at every damn angle, glad it's changing recently. But there has an always will be a massive "Your da didn't make it, so now you will" complex In what realm does me saying any of this benefit the upper classes? It doesn't. It's self reflection and commentary based on very real events that happens to all of us growing up in Arden or Pollok. > i know loads of middle class cunts that are there today. Not saying there won't be your david lloyd shaggers there, just saying the majority won't be, because we know what kind of people these clubs attract. Sorta cunts that... put football before their family, sorta cunts that'll batter their misses if they interrupt the game, sorta cunts that base their entire political agenda based on a king from 1650. Sorta cunts that fail in high school to get into a club after their peak, end up on the boozer hating life and this sorta shit being their only outlet to annoy other cunts and make them feel as bad as they do. Oh I know a good fucking lot of people from my old days there today with that exact agenda. And you don't need to go far to find them other than these reddit comments. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:11pm)
  • Oh come off it. Of course the virus doesn't know context, the context of the protests are what matters. Sometimes there are things worth fighting for. Which make the risk acceptable. Celebrating a club, isn't acceptable risk. If you can't see that, then I'm honestly done, because I think you might be messing with me now. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:18pm)
  • It's actually weird that you get off on it. Yer a disgrace to the club. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:16pm)
  • > Show me proof of rangers fans destroying something today please. There is a video on the front page right now, of fans taking their flags and smacking cars with it. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:23pm)
  • Disagree. But you have your opinion and I have mine. Luckily yours isn't what the Government is following thus no cunt believes what yer saying. by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 5:21pm)
  • Well it’s a better excuse than a club winning the league? by BitZlip (Sat 15th May 2021 6:44pm)
  • That's usually what happens when you put the cost up. Very unlikely to find bams in a place that costs about £130 a month to join. by BitZlip (Sun 16th May 2021 1:26pm)
  • Insults is just lazy man, try again by BitZlip (Sun 16th May 2021 1:34pm)
  • >our world doesn't revolve around you mate. Clearly it does, because you expect my tax money to foot the bill to pay to cleanup your shite. Happy to rely on the greater citizens then ain't ya? >In reality it's folk celebrating a big occasion Hot take coming in. It's folk celebrating a bunch of people winning .... the SPL? The mighty rangers, beating such ferocious teams like Hearts and St Mirren. Bunch of old guys with fuck all else going on, trying to make themselves feel better by living their life socially and politically through a club that hasn't turned a profit since it started and is owned by millionaires that don't gee a fuck about any of you. What an achievement. You think wrecking the place is worth that? Put it into context. Fuck sake I'd class the olmpyics higher than this pish and I've never seen one event for that. but still, saying all this won't matter when you go about chanting that you know no cunt likes you and it empowers you. It's just vile tbh. by BitZlip (Sun 16th May 2021 1:32pm)
  • Fair enough. Won't argue with that pov, just don't agree with it. by BitZlip (Sun 16th May 2021 1:35pm)
  • >We're Almost at Herd Immunity Anyway! Love this, I know several people now that had COVID last year, now getting it again. This is perhaps the worst time to lose faith because all those people that just got the damn thing are gearing up for a round 2. by BitZlip (Mon 17th May 2021 11:31am)
  • >If they aren't getting seriously ill from it then who cares. Well that's the attitude that has started a worldwide pandemic. It's a bold strategy to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. by BitZlip (Mon 17th May 2021 12:55pm)

  • As a cunt which tends to generalize everyone. I'm the best cunt for this to set it out. You support rangers if you generally like the United Kingdom / Old school British Empire days. You're pro WestMinister and hate wee "nippy" in Holyrood. Rangers is a club for teh protestants and a place where people can generally hate the Irish / Immigration in general. If you are a Yank, they are Glasgows Republicans Celtic on the other hand is the angel that cannot do no wrong. It's a good ol knees up and everyone having fun singing songs not about killing catholics. It's the place you go if you're a studenty type that likes left / progressive politics. It was and still is home to a lot of the "We're irish so let's support x Club" I work in a place with a Dublin and London office and the fun extends to there also. Celtic is the club you support if you are catholic / went to church twice to get your wane into a good school. Celtic is generally pro indy as it has it's SNP base. Now, this is all pish obviously, but this is just what the generalized pish would be if you had to sum up both teams and their camps. Do these people exist that fit everything I said above? Absolutely. Are they the majority? Well not really. For a start I have Celtic fans as family members that are pro brexit, anti immigration and hate rangers, routinely joining in on the "Fuck the hun" chants. Usual, nothing ever really fits. and it just leads us to division. Rangers biggest issue is tanked up cunts having too many cheap drinks. Same goes for Celtic. Usually the fans are actually sound sober. by BitZlip (Wed 19th May 2021 3:14pm)

  • Have you tried EE? If I walk to Central with my Three phone, I won't have any signal till I am outside of central. I had to exclusively use free WiFi during my trips into Town because three were so useless. Switched to EE, not had to turn on Wi-Fi in about 3 years. by BitZlip (Thu 20th May 2021 11:22am)

  • I seen this happen as I was going into town. Totally empty road but a massive pile up to the right of me. Sure enough BMW pulls out infront of me without any indicator storms forward and under takes jumping the queue. Police must be too busy harassing weed dealers in Arden again. Boils my blood how they genuinely couldn’t give a fuck about things that actually impact cunts by BitZlip (Tue 8th Jun 2021 2:04pm)
  • Public Transports is its own worse enemy. Full of bams, costs a fuckton and isn't as good as having your own car. Want to run some shit from one location from another? Need a car Want to take a drive to some fun destination? Gonna need a car unless you want to humpf about bags and shit all day transferring to different methods of getting about. Nah, it doesn't work. If you want to make it work, make the system catch up first. by BitZlip (Fri 11th Jun 2021 12:35am)
  • Know a few people in these. Effectively gaff hoose in the west end. Landlord doesn't care what goes on as long as rent is paid. I feel sorry for everyone living around them tbh. It's mental and chaos. Up to you mate, can just plead ignorance, but I wouldn't enter anything dodgy like that personally. by BitZlip (Wed 16th Jun 2021 2:44pm)
  • Just incase you never caught it, as I also missed it >Paid for Fun Points & Free Bonus Fun Point not used on the day of your visit can be used on a return visit. If you run out of Fun Points, these can be topped up on the day of your visit at our ticket office. So, if you pay you can just keep staying. Lol it's an absolute joke. • I do sorta love the dynamic when it comes to this kind of thing. Pretty sure last week we were all talking about how cycling is the rage and public transport isn't that bad. Then GCC bring out this move meaning effectively you need to go to the dump now with a car, can't exactly humpf a ton of stuff up on the number 3. by BitZlip (Tue 29th Jun 2021 11:03am)
  • I hear that. Living in Paisley atm, we've got a blue bin for cardboard, but no green bin. No cunt can read so everyone just puts everything in the blue bin thus it never gets collected. by BitZlip (Tue 29th Jun 2021 11:02am)
  • That happened to us and I felt pure bad. Got the landlord in to fix a few issues. Boiler, cooker n that. Went out to work, left him to it, came back to all the old shite thrown round the back. Agency never gave a shit, I moved but got a mate in that block and a year later it's all still there. by BitZlip (Tue 29th Jun 2021 11:05am)
  • > Oh, she has been misleading me about this also and said that I have to stay here for a whole year. Few days back only i read this that I can leave the house after a notice of 28 days. Yeah mine did the same to me. Rented from Let It in Paisley. Then a couple after then, both were at it chanting that I had to stay the whole term lol. But nah, I gave notice and they had to accept it. by BitZlip (Thu 1st Jul 2021 3:02pm)
  • We don't have free speech in the UK. Police regularly lock people up for breach of the peace. by BitZlip (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 12:04am)
  • Words result in violence though, hence they should be policed in a somewhat similar manner. If I walk about shouting the n word, I'd fully expect myself to get dragged about the street. But I'd also expect the person doing the dragging to get 2x as much time as me in jail. How is any of this a society you want to live in. by BitZlip (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 8:16am)

  • Sadly having to deal with this at the minute. Telling me I need to take all my bags of garden waste and leave them round the front for up to 28 days. Are you fucking mental, it'll be all over the streets by BitZlip (Mon 5th Jul 2021 1:41pm)
  • >So the flat my boyfriend and I newly rent (both students) has a front garden that we contractually have to upkeep. I hear that, I have a back garden that no cunt in this entire block maintained, it was 6 feet tall with weeds, got in, sorted it out, found out that it isn't just me that needs to deal with it, title deeds show it being everyones thing. It's reserved as a drying green, yet there isn't any drying facilities. So now I as the new prick needs to figure this out ;_; >Imagine my surprise when I try to book an uplift for the garden waste (we don't have a brown bin because we're in a flat) Us either, we don't even have a bin for plastic or cans. General Waste and Cardboard only. So, I dumped the lot in the general waste bins. I've still got 2 bags and this has been going on about 4 weeks now because we're every 2 weeks a bin service (Fucking stupid) so having to do it in shifts. Nearly clear now! I totally agree with everything you've said. I'm in Paisley and it is the same story here. Fucking useless shower of bastards that don't provide the essentials people actually need. Either raise the tax to fund it, or don't fucking offer it in the first place, reduce my tax and I'll go private. by BitZlip (Tue 13th Jul 2021 1:32pm)
  • I chopped up my garden a few weeks ago. I was told to put it out the front, and wait 28 days for someone to come get it. 28 days... 14 odd black bags full of garden shit? It'll be across the street in 3 hours. by BitZlip (Tue 13th Jul 2021 1:37pm)

  • >What covid has shown us is that some simple steps. Wear a mask, stay home if sick and wash your hands, can have a large impact on not getting yourself or others sick. It's fucking mind blowing to me that before all this we were totally sound with cunts with the flu walking about as if nothing was wrong spreading the flu about. I've not been ill since 2019. Genuinely since we started WFH full time, I've not been ill once. I'm usually ill every 6 months. Clatty bastards, ruin everything. Get covid, stay in the gaff, sound. by BitZlip (Sat 17th Jul 2021 12:17am)
  • > I just don't get why they don't increase recycling collection frequence and slow down general waste as a way to encourage people to sort more. Because people don't. Having lived in flats since day 0, there is absolutely nothing that can be done to stop the lazy cunts throwing mince pies into a paper bin. Fuckin nothing. The council act like brats about it "WE'RE NO PICKING IT UP THEN" Sound, gonna stay there until ye do tho. by BitZlip (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 5:08pm)
  • >Side rant time: the 16 days for recycling are a piss take, there are 56 flats in my block and 6 small blue recycling bins to use for 16 days. I don't even bother anymore trying to recycle. Gets worse when people put the wrong shit in it then the collection folk don't bother taking it. So now you've got a bin, full of rancid shit lying in the sun for another 16 days on top of the 16 days it's already lay there for. Oh and get this, it'll not get collected next time :)) I actual hate collections in this country it's a joke that anyone thinks this is a good system. Should be a weekly system Recycle Bins on a Mon - Tues - Wednes, general collection on the Thursday so anything still left out and not emptied gets papped in there. Easy, boom, put taxes up £20 to cover it. Make that Bezos cunt front 90% of it if we must. Sorted. by BitZlip (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 5:07pm)

  • I've personally never understood it and it seems to come from the people that upvote / downvote stuff. You'll have an absolute shite post get top of the subreddit via upvotes, then the top comments in the post are "Why is this being upvoted" with 40 golds and also upvoted to the top. It's a problem between lurkers and people that engage. Take /r/LivestreamFail as a good example. That entire sub is dedicated frankly to the OTK network a popular streaming group in America. Yet the the top comments are always related to how much spam that group puts into the sub and how they hate it lol. It's a losing battle that I don't think any moderation team on reddit has ever solved. by BitZlip (Tue 28th Sep 2021 2:11pm)

  • Bus Drivers usually don't go if they are early, I've been on plenty of busses where they will just sit there till time. That bus is likely late from the last service lol. by BitZlip (Mon 4th Oct 2021 4:20pm)
  • I don't think I've ever heard of that, sorry for being useless. But I've rented from 2 different flats now, one from an agency, one from just a couple and neither asked for anything. Heck the later I never even signed a tenancy agreement with cause we forgot about it. Might be a thing, maybe if he doesn't pay the rent then they come to you? Sounds mental but. I agree with your general frustration but. Mental how I get an ounce easier than it is to get a gaff. by BitZlip (Mon 4th Oct 2021 4:53pm)
  • Living in Paisley, anyone have any idea how I can get a man with tools and a better man than me to install a dryer/Air Conditioner hole in the wall? Need it to vent out heat from one of those portable systems, looking for ideally 2 to get installed. Bought an AC unit during the heat, can't even use it lol Everywhere a look it's just people telling me to buy the drill n that myself. I'd 100% have it going at a 45 degree angle through the neighbors roof. by BitZlip (Mon 4th Oct 2021 5:56pm)
  • I used to see graffiti quite a bit when growing up, same with the usual intimidating lot that makes my curtain clutcher self hide in the gaff. Think it's gotten worse now a days. Graffiti has returned, I've seen various either YouTube marks or Young Team marks across the place. Dunno what's going on, whether it's serious or people just having a laugh. by BitZlip (Tue 5th Oct 2021 9:42am)
  • It's akin to the chinese marking yer order as delivered on Just Eat 2 hours before it actually comes. Had it quite a lot in customer service, not allowed to have any tickets over 2 weeks old, so they just got closed if they weren't solved. Not entirely sure that's what the policy is meant to do but 🤷‍♀️ by BitZlip (Tue 12th Oct 2021 10:42am)
  • I went, bought and paid for the whole package, think I was about £139.99 for the year monthly. I bought it, mostly to cost out the wee arseholes elsewhere. Call it what ye want, but it does get rid of the folk that come in and start throwing weights about no giving a fuck. It also reduced pretty massively the people that just come in and sit on their phone. I noticed a better atmosphere. Showers were excellent, facilities excellent, I couldn't really rate it any higher. Was it worth the money? Probs not, infact deffos not, but if you want to go completely mental and have a lot less stress? It's worth that for sure. I moved back to Puregym and stick to going mostly out of the peak hours and it's just a bit better. Ironically, Covid brought in a lot of things missing, such as wiping stations and what not. I complained to Puregym years ago that they never had papertowels or anything, fuckers told me to go bring a towel in to wipe down gear. Aye right, as if that does anything. For yourself sure, no the machines fs. by BitZlip (Wed 13th Oct 2021 5:23pm)
  • I went down to England and had a guy talk to me in a pub about how he was screaming my name to come let him out as the door jammed shut. Also let loose that he had to go sitting down. I'm not entirely convinced I'm missing much else, that's been perhaps my one and only experience in a pub by BitZlip (Wed 13th Oct 2021 8:59pm)
  • Industrial strike is meaningless if it doesn't affect business, not sure if you have any weight but I'd deffos bring this up and start a wee moaning session, businesses won't be happy, that's the only way to put the pressure on. by BitZlip (Fri 15th Oct 2021 8:27am)
  • One look through that guys timeline tells ye all ye need to know. Ned / young team shit is back, and I fully blame 10 years of Austerity for doing it. by BitZlip (Fri 22nd Oct 2021 11:19am)
  • Same here, it's an utter shame considering I've had to walk under the manky thing for the past 4 years now. by BitZlip (Fri 22nd Oct 2021 11:16am)
  • 1994, that when you were born? If that was, your older than me, so surely that means you remember going about as a wee guy absolutely causing it? Unless you weren't too involved, but as a cunt that was I can assure you, these people absolutely know what they were doing. It's a lack of parenting causing the kids to go out and seek other people to fill those gaps, other parental figures that will do that job. A clan, a gang, a young team. It's vile, I thought it was on the way out with my year. I never heard of it popping back up again. Last year I started seeing YT signs posted about again, sprayed on the side of walls, a thought, ha, must be a bam up. Sure enough, this cunt dying well and truly means it's back and here to stay for the next generations to work on. by BitZlip (Fri 22nd Oct 2021 11:26am)
  • Businesses really should have been forced into doing that. When COVID hit, I could drive into work, without even seeing another car within 8am till 10am, it was fucking glorious. There's no reason office workers should be travelling into the town, from surrounding areas, thus making the problem worse. by BitZlip (Mon 25th Oct 2021 8:40am)
  • The whole system is stupid, whoever designed it is a fucking roaster that lives on a detached 1000% I keep getting leaflets through my door from the council cause our bins are contaiminated. You never forsaw people not giving a fuck when you designed this naw? by BitZlip (Wed 27th Oct 2021 8:24am)
  • It really is all just a massive mask slip to me. I get a letter through my door every time one of our bins has something from the neighbours contaminating it, getting shouted at as if the council is my maw fs. Pulling a full temper tantrum and then refusing to get it, then they do shit like this. Throughout the entire COP26 leadup it's been a total farce. by BitZlip (Mon 1st Nov 2021 8:04am)

  • Because he's running next term and if you aren't defending Joe against legit ANYTHING then Trump will be back in office. Look at Ed Miliband, cunt ate a sandwich, everyone laughed, now we've had 11 years of Austerity and culling of the poor. I don't make the rules. All I know is that the other team changed the rule book, now your candidate can't have any faults or do any wrong, else they'll use it against you. That includes ignoring reality. Biden falls asleep, it's news that he should step down. Trump sexually harrasses women and he gets an endorsement for the Nobel peace prize. And I cba seeing another term of Trumpism in place. The US rejected it, hopefully we will to next GE. by BitZlip (Mon 1st Nov 2021 7:15pm)
  • > And as for eccies, yeah they're well bad as shit, I am certain I ended up manic depressive because of all those years I partied as a kid. But TRNSMT isn't where you go to take eccies btw, I appreciate that once again you're a wee bit out of touch, but don't sweat it I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm nearly fucking 40! - but yeah you don't take pills at festivals. Pills are for night time, fri/sat's at the Arches and clubs. You smoke weed at festivals mainly as well as the main thing that everybody does which is drink. Surely your joking? I don't even take drugs and the amount of bams on Snap and TikTok out their fucking tree at 10am is astounding. Smoking a joint doesn't do that to ye. by BitZlip (Fri 5th Nov 2021 10:38am)

  • Naw. There's a deadly virus that can kill me and a want to go outside. There's cunts that believe JFK is going to rise from the dead and install trump as President convincing glaswegians via imported American Conspiracies that vaccines are the devil and 5G is worse for yer health than Best Kebab. by BitZlip (Thu 11th Nov 2021 12:51am)
  • > the fact that more people agree with the vaccine passports really makes me feel ashamed to be Scottish WTF happened to you all?? A global pandemic happened which killed 142,000 people in the UK. Have you been under a rock? by BitZlip (Thu 11th Nov 2021 12:58am)
  • Naw actually he's pretty spot on. You can have the vaccine, get infected, have no idea because it reduces your chances of getting symptoms, go out and infect a bunch of folk. The issue at the minute is the Government Advice doesn't match what is medically required to get rid of the virus. Mostly because they expended all their political power with Lockdown 1 and 2, and have fuck all capital left to convince folks. by BitZlip (Thu 11th Nov 2021 12:55am)
  • > coercion the practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats. Who's threatening/forcing you? by BitZlip (Thu 11th Nov 2021 12:59am)
  • >Right but needing a vaccine to enter public places is gonna fix that? Bearing in mind being vaccinated doesn't stop people spreading or catching covid Very true, it just lessens the risk you'll have something bad happen to you. If the policy ends in more people getting vaccinated because they want to go out, then it's absolutely worth it. >My brother in law who is double vaxxed got covid and still ended up in icu which ended up with them putting him in an induced coma Sorry to hear about that. But what happened to your brother isn't the whole picture. You can't take 1 case and determine your entire logic based off that. That's why we're in this mess with parents now refusing to vaccinate their kids with regular vaccines because they've forgotten polio was a thing. At the end of the day, doesn't really matter what you say or believe, you're wrong because the statistics don't lie. The death rate has fallen, people are coming out the other end of COVID with less issues. If anything, I'd say someone close to you ending up in the hospital after getting vaccinated, is a bigger indicator that you SHOULD get vaccinated it's fucking lucky he was, doubt he'd be here if he didn't. by BitZlip (Thu 11th Nov 2021 12:18pm)

  • >Yes, I’m 100% radicalised, and I’m proud of it. We need radical change, and we need it yesterday. Dunno mate, your the cunt telling people your radicalised and nearly any means are justified to end climate change by BitZlip (Fri 12th Nov 2021 9:40am)
  • Radical to the point of lashing out against those that can't really do much about it? Aye. If you want something done, get the government on the phone and start putting immediate sanctions on China. Letting a few tyres down and going Vegan won't solve anything. Fuck you can't even convince Americans to give up guns and their kids are being gunned down every week. by BitZlip (Fri 12th Nov 2021 10:17am)
  • 100%, we went to buy a new car just a few weeks ago. Like, it's just not fiesable to get an electric car just now when we stay in an council estate and there's no way of getting charging put in. Especially when every eco warrior here wants to remove roads. And that's excluding the cost of the bastarding things being mega expensive by BitZlip (Fri 12th Nov 2021 10:15am)
  • >This “lashing out” is the equivalent of anti-slavery activists removing the wheel from the wagon of a wealthy merchant who has benefitted from slavery. It's really no, it's a bunch of annoying cunts annoying people that for the past 60 years the Government has told them to act that way. Comparing it to slavery is a bit far. Especially when under-developed nations are making the argument that since we've had our cake, they should have it aswell, now we're telling them they can't and NOW our tax payers are gonna need to foot the bill to pay for their upgrades. >Approving of things like this, promoting civil disobedience, is how we actually get real change done in this country. I don't disagree, but the Government doesn't care about a few tyres getting let down. If you want to cause absolute chaos you need to do what Insulte Britain is doing. I agree with their approach more than I agree with letting down tyres. >Only by getting together and letting the air out of every tyre in the country can we achieve any sort of result. I can't tell if you're trolling but this did make me laugh. >They aren’t answerable to us as individuals. Sure they are, not gonna discuss it here for the threats of being black bagged by MI6 though. >Sanctions on China absolutely would not help Sure it would. The UK offshored it's entire production away so it can look better on reports. Sanctions would bring it back and make us more accountable for what we're producing rather than just importing everything and anything. >Get your head out of whatever dumb conservative bubble you’re in and into reality. Don't think I've ever been called a conservative hahahah. by BitZlip (Fri 12th Nov 2021 10:37am)
  • >Seriously though, China is doing great work. Don’t buy all of the propaganda that says they’re responsible. It’s corporations who are responsible for this shit, Exxon and so on. This is where we can get common ground. I'm more than willing to go to war to tell companies to get fucked. Well said mate! by BitZlip (Fri 12th Nov 2021 11:36am)
  • Who's at fault? The consumer for buying what is infront of them, or the corporation for doing ANYTHING for money and growth? I'm always going to blame the company, for giving me the chance to buy this shit. It's not the customers fault that they're being told to buy this and most of it being subsidised by the Government. I love giving this example, because it still happens today with Uighers in China. Hugo Boss made Nazi Uniforms. Henry Ford sold to Nazi Germany. Companies will do ANYTHING for profits, and the only thing that can stop that is legislation. by BitZlip (Fri 12th Nov 2021 1:11pm)

  • How has it clearly been mutating in the vaccinated population? There's no evidence to suggest he got covid from a vaccinated person or from an unvaccinated person? by BitZlip (Thu 2nd Dec 2021 3:41pm)
  • Not entirely convinced you've arrived at the correct conclusion at the end there mate. The reason the unvaccinated aren't spreading new strains is cause they're fucking dying lmao. by BitZlip (Thu 2nd Dec 2021 4:22pm)
  • Pretty sure I remember them stuffing bodies into mass graves in India, and you're using it as a good example? https://news.sky.com/video/covid-19-mass-graves-on-the-banks-of-the-river-ganges-in-india-12313152 That the world you wanty live in? by BitZlip (Thu 2nd Dec 2021 5:38pm)
  • Yep. The data confirms that. I've heard countless times, people getting covid, going about totally fine, end up in Hospital because breathing is a bit hard, on the mend, getting better, then boom, dead the next day. This is well documented by now, I can't really believe I'm still needing to explain basic shit in 2021. by BitZlip (Thu 2nd Dec 2021 5:36pm)

Cunts are dying of the Virus, you're just being far to stupid, fuck off and read a few books on it. Secondly, you know fuck all about me. I'm double jabbed, went to London for EGX and Edinburgh for Christmas with my Girlfriend, went to the markets, ate a ton of food and had a laugh. I'll be celebrating Christmas with my family as I always do. Honestly, get fucked. • > It didn't bother you the building had no factor at time of purchase? > I was told that the landlords had a group email whereby they could discuss issues and settle them that way rather than involving any other third parties. I've had Factors before, getting them to fix anything was a fucking chore, so I figured this solution would work well. And I hate to be that cunt, but I managed to get into the first home fund, and it closed 2 days later, if I never went for this property, I'd still be living at my parents, genuinely it was all I could do. But here I am, 6 months in, with no group email and no way to contact any of the landlords. I'm not entirely convinced the landlord a few floors up is even legally letting the property, I've seen easily 6 families go into that home at once. by BitZlip (Tue 21st Dec 2021 1:07pm)
  • Honestly don't know how Silverburn is still going, last time I went it was JD, Food and jewelry, everything else has done the boost. Shame tbh. But I don't know what else they can do. I was in Braehead a few weeks ago, am sure I saw Mankind in there. by BitZlip (Tue 21st Dec 2021 1:11pm)
  • > Step 1: Check your deeds, this will detail any legal requirements for communal works and shared costs > > Okay, so I checked the title deeds and it does reference that there is voting and majority voting to get issues resolved, just as you said it seems pretty standard so that's good! There is a door already there, it's just a standard door, I'd be looking at putting in a whole new one, big bastard that keeps people out ideally. I've reached out to the council, and a factor to see if they can give me any advice going forward. Worse comes to it I'll start chapping doors and awkwardly asking if they can talk to their landlord about contacting me lol. Thanks for your response!! by BitZlip (Tue 21st Dec 2021 1:09pm)

Either ye like Westminister, or you don't. Sturgeon is a politican aswell, The SNP are a political party, they'll line their pockets just like the rest. I know it's useless saying this, because at the end of the day the voters deciding this, it's all just a popularity contest but it does my nut in when mentioned. I'd really consider this, because am self factored and dealing with current landlords that aren't ever there, are uncontactable and frankly the people going in and out of the houses are borderline report worthy. It's a big deal to go self factored and usually ends up meaning that you end up doing everything cause everyone else doesn't give a fuck, especially if they are landlords. Obviously, you know your own situation, but it's just something to considered, cause they could sell or anything and ye get a right proper cunt in. Am actually trying to go factored, but I can't fucking contact anyone and the letting agencies that own a few flats ignore my requests. by BitZlip (Tue 8th Mar 2022 2:27pm)

But considering we still burn gas to make leckie, it's been weighing on me. My boilers about 15 year old at this point, gives up the ghost every now and then, so I'm about ready to trade it in for a new one, issue is, I don't want to get it then Sturgeon bans gas next year so want to think ahead. • Av never understood people that hate sharing the road. There's this road at my bit, and the left lane is always full of people that should actually be in the right, hence I always pull out into the right so I can fire down the road, merge back in on the left, then take the immident left again to go off home. I've had numerous people refuse to let me in because "fuck that guy skipping the queue" WHAT QUEUE AM NO GAWN THAT WAY. There's a redonkulous amount of people that never use the right lane when it's meant to be used exactly for that purpose. They're sitting in the left lane because they are shitting themselves that they won't be in the correct lane when it's time to turn in the next 6 traffic lights. by BitZlip (Tue 8th Mar 2022 4:50pm)

My Girlfriend did most of the talking because I'd have shat myself. Safe to say, if we never did that, we wouldn't be living here. We went through about 14 rejected offers before that. Finally gave up and just started asking people whether they were wanting to sell to us or to a landlord paying 20k over lmfao. If ye don't ask, ye won't get. by BitZlip (Wed 9th Mar 2022 12:03am)
  • I currently pay £230 a month on my mortgage for a 2bed. For an absolute shitter flat, in Glasgow South I'm seeing prices from £650 to £850 Absolutely bonkers. by BitZlip (Wed 9th Mar 2022 9:45pm)
  • When I was renting, it was around 23% by BitZlip (Thu 10th Mar 2022 9:09am)
  • Hawd the bus, I'm £122 for the year, that's both Buildings + Contents up to £150,000 I think. Building is 1.5 Million Gonna need to check over all my documents again, but it doesn't sound right that you're paying £40 a month for buildings? Maybe am the cunt that's been scammed. by BitZlip (Fri 11th Mar 2022 10:41am)
  • If you have a factor, 100%, the factor will deal with buildings. But you'll still need your own contents insurance. by BitZlip (Fri 11th Mar 2022 11:28am)
  • >Honestly seems that if you can stay with your parents until you can afford the deposit for buying a flat you're better off doing so rather than renting. (I imagine that with the cost of renting a lot of people would struggle to save money month to month) Exactly what I did. Rented for 2 years, realized it just wasn't possible and moved back in with the folks. by BitZlip (Fri 11th Mar 2022 11:27am)
  • fuck that's right, ignore me! by BitZlip (Fri 11th Mar 2022 1:17pm)
  • This nonsense follows ye everywhere doesn't it. Same with School, whenever there was an inspector in, or someone important, suddenly everything seemed to work like clock work. by BitZlip (Fri 18th Mar 2022 2:48pm)
  • I thought they closed everything and kept once place in the town open. I know they had that one in Darnley and it's been lying dormant for ages. by BitZlip (Fri 18th Mar 2022 2:50pm)
  • Not sure if it's related but I order my shopping via morrisons and I had a delivery rescheduled due to the driver being ill. Perhaps it's covid ripping through again? by BitZlip (Fri 18th Mar 2022 2:49pm)
  • > As most people use delivery apps, the tips aren’t what they used to be unfortunately. I find I tip more due to it tbh. Just Eat still doesn't have a tipping feature which is annoying, but Just Eat also pays the driver for how many miles they drive, whereas uber eats don't I believe. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 8:19am)
  • As with anything, it looks like when traffic declined with Covid, everyone put in permission to get roadworks in, and they've all been approved at once at the worst time. Of course, I don't know that for sure, but it's the council, so it probably is. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 8:18am)
  • Bingo, these games don't work if you start declaring income. Same reason the chinese down the road from me still doesn't accept card and is not online lol. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 8:23am)
  • I might be smoking absolute crack, but I spoke to a mate that does that and he said the tips go to the takeaway, not the driver. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 8:21am)
  • Yeung’s hands down, best you'll ever get. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 8:27am)
  • Might actually make more sense, I'll go with that! by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 8:54am)
  • > Evidently many motorists have still to read the highway code. Blame the DVLA for that one. They change rules and don't actually inform people. The fact that the rules changed on pedestrians crossing still hasn't came through my letterbox. Every single driver in the UK should get through the new driving rules whenever they change, or mandatory new theory testing each year. The fact that I need to do Microsoft Certs every year to keep my certificate alive (Due to the fast changing nature of the IT Industry) but I don't for a literal many ton death box is ABSURD. Just goes to show really. Lobbying is a Cancer. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 10:28am)
  • Presume it's easier to catch people leaving work than it is to get a bunch of shiftless redditors out their bed at the weekend. by BitZlip (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 1:35pm)
  • What sort of litter are you using? I have two cats, one is a maniac and will get stuck in, the other one doesn't like the litter touching her paws, and genuinely commando dives out the tray and into it whenever she has to do her business. She also doesn't cover it, because she doesn't want to touch it lmao. But I switched litter to this Paper sort from BnM and she was more into it than Catsan. Might be worth trying a few different brands? Also, we use cat litter tray liners, might work if your cat is wanting non-litter places to do the toilet as it might trick them? No sure... by BitZlip (Wed 30th Mar 2022 12:53pm)
  • >Ps. Yer Hoose is reeking a cat pish and shite. Spoken by someone that has no idea how to take care of a cat. I've had far more issues with dugs doing the toilet outside than I have with cats doing it in a tray. by BitZlip (Wed 30th Mar 2022 12:55pm)
  • Just to say, I've been living in Paisley the last while and it's actually been decent in terms of bin service and even street cleaning. What's they're makeup like? Are they ran by the SNP? Think it might be worthwhile to compare to see what's different between the two. Renfewshire is pretty massive tae. by BitZlip (Fri 1st Apr 2022 10:12am)
  • Where? Deffos isn't here. /r/scotland is divided between SNP/Greens, I've had plenty a debate over there and usually we all agree that the SNP is the only option we've got because the Tories aren't any better. by BitZlip (Fri 1st Apr 2022 10:10am)
  • >I've had plenty a debate over there and usually we all agree that the SNP is the only option we've got because the Tories aren't any better. Full context, or do we need to bring up the Moray situation or the whole "They've plundered the country, sold off contracts to their mates, so let's get them a council job???" Whats yer alternative. Talk to me instead of just being an arse. by BitZlip (Fri 1st Apr 2022 10:23am)
  • Labour are a non-starter. They'll vote whatever way the party down south want them to, plus they're totally tied at the hip. I'd be for a Scottish Labour that actually was it's own party, absolutely. But if Sir Kier wants Labour in Scotland to go for a general monetary policy, they're going to need to do it. It's the same issue as the union, but within a party. by BitZlip (Fri 1st Apr 2022 11:57am)
  • Deffos come to the next one mate, just seen this! Looks ideal! by BitZlip (Fri 1st Apr 2022 8:17pm)
