  • They’re the factors of my current place - left our building uninsured for a short period of time now we’re getting stung with a massive bill for something that happened during that time. Damage is getting worse and they’re ignoring everything we send including police crime refs, all they do is keep sending out bills for thousands of pounds which we’re refusing to pay. We get billed for “work” on the building but no one ever sees it being done eg gutters cleaned and attic cleaned of pigeon poop but none of the 8 flats in the building saw anyone and they’ve told us they have no keys for this building so we’ve no idea how they got in to get to the attic or how they got up to the gutters with no scaffolding or ladders... They asked us to increase our payments (fair enough, it had been the same for years), took the additional money but didn’t update anything their end and continued to send statements showing the lower payment then sent a bill demanding the “debt” be paid and contacted debt collectors. Back tracked once I eventually got hold of them but took a while and had to provide bank statements showing how much was being paid and for them to agree there was no debt. We’re £80 to change lightbulbs so we just do it ourselves whenever it’s needed. Close is mopped every two weeks. Standard shitemare factors but heard worse stories about others by Kimbalee84 (Sat 17th Aug 2019 1:29pm)
  • Move studios is a yoga and dance studio. Very clean, people spaced out, limited numbers and accessed through a booking system. They were doing online yoga during lockdown. I really liked it there, everyone was just so so friendly and I felt pretty safe and clean (Not southside tho, behind slaters and st enoch centre) by Kimbalee84 (Sun 20th Sep 2020 11:15am)
  • Just got one off Randox health. Incredibly simple, quick and easy. Did the test, results dropped off at 5pm, sample hit the lab at noon the next day. Results certificate by 7pm. https://www.randoxhealth.com Discount code tui2020 by Kimbalee84 (Mon 23rd Nov 2020 12:20am)
  • No, but you can print it yourself. They send you a digital copy so I got a text about it then an email with the full certificate with my name, DOB, the date and time I took the test etc. Just showed it when I arrived (the place I needed to travel to would accept a printed copy or a digital copy and also wanted certain info on the form). No questions at the airport this end. But I had to download apps etc for the country I’m in, fill in my flight details, seat number, hotel address, reason for travel, length of stay... keep their track and trace app for 2 weeks. Just follow the rules and it’s easy. One thing to watch - whenever you’re going to, check what their requirements for a test. My certificate needed to show when I took the test, my passport number and when the sample was tested. The Randox lab does testing every day of the week but the delivery company only picked up from your house mon-fri. I need to travel on a Sunday and needed the test to have been taken within 72hrs before I arrived. So I needed to drop off my sample in person at DX Deliveries at Eurocentral on the Thursday by 5pm. Sample hit the lab in Ireland around noon on the Friday. I had my results sent at 7pm on the Friday night so I could fly Sunday morning. You didn’t ask lol but that’s my experience - hope it helps! by Kimbalee84 (Wed 25th Nov 2020 11:23am)
  • Flew out on Sunday - no questions whatsoever. Everything automated at the airport for checkin etc. Sorry for your loss, hope you’re ok and you get where you need to be x by Kimbalee84 (Wed 25th Nov 2020 11:27am)
  • Amazing, thanks. I’ll look them up and definitely use them for my next one. I’ve tried escalating, it’s already gone to the brand manager who’s told her service advisors to tell me it’s not their fault. Made a complaint too, going to try fb by Kimbalee84 (Tue 1st Dec 2020 11:52am)
  • My Facebook uses a maiden name so it’s different to what Arnold Clark have but worth a try, thanks. Only use it for the gym so forgot all about that, thanks! Sounds daft Cos I’m sat here greeting like a daft wee girl even though in I’m my 30’s. Sat without a car. The garage is an hours walk away, I’ve left my passport in the car, I’m stressing myself out... Had a nightmare with National Tyres during the summer, they causes a grand’s worth of damage and I took it to social media, the lot. They did the same thing “not us, coincidence” even though you could see screw driver marks and broke parts. Was so much hassle and stress that I ended up paying it myself just to make it go away. I’m ranting now and being stupid, sorry. Give fb a try by Kimbalee84 (Tue 1st Dec 2020 11:50am)
  • Thanks, the bulb is fine. It’s just a warning light that’s been on since I bought the car off them. Cos the bulb works, ive just left it but mention it again any time I’m in for a service. Good shout though, I’ll try changing it myself by Kimbalee84 (Tue 1st Dec 2020 1:48pm)
  • I haven’t said they have assumed responsibility? I was asking a genuine question for a recommendation of anywhere I can take to fix it. Somewhere trustworthy. Fair enough that I’ve had a bad experience but obviously I don’t trust them now and I’ve had a ton of hassle that I don’t have the strength to deal with. If I was at it, do you think I’d be looking at sorting it myself? The bulb thing has been like that since I bought the car off them. I told them straight away, pulled over and phoned them, I asked them if they wanted me to come back but their response has always been that they can’t do servicing after 5pm and “we’ll sort it at your next service.” So no, I haven’t just left it then claimed they’ve done something wrong. I even texted the sales guy as I bought the car off a friend who works there so yes, I know they’re not all bad guys, I’m not saying they are. I haven’t said they’ve assumed all responsibility for my car however the window was perfectly fine with no issues when I dropped it off and all I know is it’s “just fell down” after they’d done the mot, washed it etc and were driving it back round to the front. To me windows don’t just fall down but that’s all they’re telling me. Maybe it is a cable or whatever, if it’s a worn part that’s fair enough but they’re not saying that, not showing me anything and won’t tell me anything other than “just fell down”, that’s why I’ve posted here Cos I’ve no idea what’s going on, I don’t know what to do, they won’t tell me anything except demand money for a part that they haven’t even told me the name of! More than happy for people to see it from both side, if they want to think I’m at it or trying to pull a fast one or I’ve broke the window then put it in for the MOT to blame the garage then fine, let them can think that but that’s not what happened and says a hell of a lot more about them than me. Sorry that was your experience but I don’t see how you could fix a brake and be blamed for a timing belt. Clearly that’s people trying to pull a fast one on you but that’s not what I’m doing here or the point of this post. by Kimbalee84 (Tue 1st Dec 2020 2:02pm)
  • Annoyingly they are doing surge vaccinations for southside but it’s not been formally announced which I think is mental. Would defo give a bit of peace of mind if it was. Got a vaccine text on 8am Sat morning and phoned straight away. Thought it was fake cos I’ve not had a blue envelope, I’m not in the current vaccination groups and I’m in my 30’s but phoned up and was told it’s because of my postcode (I’m not G41/G42 but nearby.) Earliest appointment was 5th June and I can’t bloody wait. by Kimbalee84 (Mon 17th May 2021 10:41am)

  • Japan Street Food (great dumplings and bento boxes - chicken teriyaki and the chicken katsu are my favs!) Clean Foods (love their halloumi fries and halloumi wrap. The BJ burger is brilliant!) Genova (for pizzas and deserts. The pulled pork and jalapeño one is a new level of amazing!) They all do contactless delivery too and will just drop it off at the door. (FYI Paisley doesn’t really use Uber so if you’re using Uber Eats, try Paisley Eats App instead. No issues with Just Eat.) by Kimbalee84 (Mon 17th May 2021 10:58am)

For us, we called it “an old Austria” and instead of yodelling, we did “vol-dra-co-key-a, vol-dra-co-co” and my fave bit was the Saint Bernard, grr grr, haha!) Enjoy! • There’s something going on across the road from Cessnock underground. Police van half bumped up on the kerb, half hanging out onto Paisley road west. Tapped off close with police on the door and they’ve tapped off the pavement. Helicopter seems to be hanging about. Guessing it might be that by Kimbalee84 (Sat 10th Jul 2021 11:32pm)

  • I’m nearby so will keep an eye out. Pop her litter tray outside or if you’ve a brush or hoover with her fur on it, pop that fur in a pillow case and wave it outside your front door, leave it if you can- she may find her scent and come home. Shake a bag of dreamies can get their attention, just need to listen really carefully Hopefully she won’t have gone far, best time to be out looking is dusk when it’s a bit quieter. Keep checking nearby outdoor places, your back door of your close, the bin shed etc incase she goes back. Know it’s already been said but defo post on the Nextdoor app and search fb for your local post pets page, post there too. The fb groups are a massive help and get good results in getting them home by Kimbalee84 (Wed 14th Jul 2021 1:23pm)

  • If you like outdoorsy things, on Facebook look up Girls Go Wild (Glasgow and West) - it’s a great meet-up page but mostly for outdoor activities. Loads of activities on the go, just pick one and rock up. Everyone’s a bit nervous their first time but everyone doing it has been in exactly the same position so they’re super friendly. (I found this sort of thing easier than bumble BFF cos it’s usually a group of folk and at least 1 or 2 others going for their first time.) I’ve used bumble BFF before and it’s decent but it’s more of a 1 on 1. Don’t be put off thinking it’s a dating app, it’s separate and the BFF thing is good. Pretty much all folk in a similar situation who’ve just moved to Glasgow or surrounding areas. If you like the gym, try the classes rather than the gum floor. Personally not a fan of classes but if you go to the same ones regularly, you start seeing the same faces and I’ve made some good pals this way. Also, I’ve a friend that does BorrowMyDoggy and has made loads of pals with the dog owners or other people while she’s out walking the dog! If folk from the thread are up for a wee meet up, I’d be game! by Kimbalee84 (Mon 19th Jul 2021 5:59pm)
  • Omg yes! I remember one video about a young lad who loved football but he tripped on the tracks and his feet got cut off. Next scene was of him being pushed in a wheelchair by his mum with his football boots hanging up on the wall. That one traumatised the fuck out of me! by Kimbalee84 (Tue 27th Jul 2021 9:17pm)
  • Christ! Was it primary? That’s even more brutal! So glad someone else remembers this cos no one else ever does and I always presumed it was only shown at our school cos we used to get the train everyday! by Kimbalee84 (Tue 27th Jul 2021 11:18pm)

  • Great wee area. Park is a big bonus. Leisure centre is pretty decent. Transport links are cracking cos you’ve got the M8, M74 and M77. Dead easy for town, southside, Paisley or the airport. Very handy for town and loads buses and cycle lanes. Plenty of parking at kirkdale, it’s quite a quiet wee bit off the main road. You’d have the local co-op within walking distance and Asda and Morrison’s aren’t far. Area itself is called Craigton and there’s a good craigton residents association group on Facebook, maybe have a nosey? Concerts at the park are really infrequent and aren’t any trouble, just give it 30mins after the end time to let the traffic clear and you’re golden. You’ll get a residents parking pass and a wee GS4 person the the top of every street to stop concert goers parking. They’re also a lot quieter than I thought cos the stage is next to mosspark boulevard so they get the worst of the noise. Shut your windows and you’ll barely hear it. Bit of a bugger when rangers play but (imo) you’re far away enough to not get bothered by folk walking to the game or parking. Just avoid trying Paisley road west about 30mins before and after the game Any questions, just shoot me a message :) by Kimbalee84 (Wed 4th Aug 2021 1:23pm)
  • Right, I’m not crazy but heard rumours and know stories about the st enoch centre being haunted cos it’s was apparently built on an old railway station that had a bad train crash and the station was a known spot for jumpers. The back corridors and spaces behind the shops had the usual lights flickering and noises and certain spots of the shop were just freezing for no reason but I lost count of the times either me or someone else was in the back, alone in the cash office, and a shadow would go past as if someone was walking past the window but you’d be back there completely alone. Had the occasional staff member mention they’d say they could feel a hand on their shoulder but nobody being around. Even used to have things fly off the shelves, never during day time. Always at night and come into it in the morning with things on the floor. Not like a fall and drop/roll but more like an push and out sort of thing. Then there were the inch thick glass shelves cracked clean in half at the middle but still on the wall holding up the stock - just weird stuff so always chalked it up to the crash and jumpers rumour. (Although also possible the staff were just really invested in winding me up and committed to taking the piss!) by Kimbalee84 (Thu 5th Aug 2021 12:48am)
  • Never knew the details of it, sounds brutal! Thanks for sharing! by Kimbalee84 (Thu 5th Aug 2021 12:32pm)
  • Ah cool! I know the bit you mean - had to use that entrance and corridors a few times and never liked it. And I worked down at the boots bit That basement was creepy and like a maze. Never liked getting the lift down there cos the back wall of that lift was boarded off with wood and all graffitied. • Did an intensive course years ago through [All Pass Driving](https://allpassdriving.co.uk/intensive-driving-courses/intensive-driving-courses-glasgow/) I’d had a couple of lessons years earlier but pretty much went in with nothing. Did around 20hrs over 4 days and specifically picked a test area I wasn’t familiar with so no bias/prior knowledge. My guy was great and throughout the week kept me updated on how he felt I was doing and if he thought I should do the test at the end of the week or not. A word of advice though - the test date doesn’t come with the course and you need to book it separately then coordinate it with the instructor and their availability. You’ll need your theory first too and both tests are backlogged AF right now. Not trying to put you off cos I loved it and it worked for me! But they are intense course in every sense of the word and you’re not guaranteed to pass. (Only mention that cos I recommended it to friends and their instruction didn’t feel they were ready, they then failed and they tried to get their money back…) Good luck, hope you find one and pass! by Kimbalee84 (Sun 19th Sep 2021 7:23pm)

  • 1. The same number/different place thing might be down to different bus companies like a 38 for mcgills goes to a totally different place from a 38 for first bus. 2. It’ll depend on if you get a nice bus driver. If you’re on a first bus, download the first bus app and you can track the bus stop to stop and it’ll tell you where you are so you know where to get off. 3. Download first bus app, more reliable than google maps and it’ll give you live bus updates 4. Either first bus app or use [Travel line scotland](https://www.travelinescotland.com). First bus will only do first buses but travel line will show you buses, trains, underground and how to mix them for travel (although you can use a bus ticket for the underground eg a first bus ticket on the underground. But a zone card will cover all transport so you can hop on anything, it’s more expensive though than a bus ticket though and a first bus ticket will see you ok for most things .) I know you mentioned first bus app not working for you, works ok for me so hopefully this info helps with any travel anxiety by Kimbalee84 (Tue 21st Sep 2021 12:51pm)

  • Only bank that does offer to set up an account without a permanent address is HSBC but it is only for homeless people and is completed through a homeless charity so I don’t think this would be an option in your case, sorry. Monzo does require a UK address but (to my knowledge) they don’t validate it so I’d try them. Bonus you can open an account entirely online. You might have some luck if you visit a branch and speak with an advisor face to face incase there’s anything they can do which might not be listed on the websites but not an option while you’re quarantined. Sorry, hope you get it sorted and welcome to glasgow! by Kimbalee84 (Mon 4th Oct 2021 11:23am)
  • Wegotpop.com - legit. No payment required to create your profile and payment from them was quick. Used them a lot and had castings for outlaw king, Batman and Indian Jones. by Kimbalee84 (Mon 4th Oct 2021 2:24pm)
  • No but commenting as interested too! Currently getting all mine from Etsy or Amazon and would prefer something local. Hobby craft is just a bit too far out the way. by Kimbalee84 (Tue 5th Oct 2021 1:32pm)

  • Twice a week because I run a youth group for kids aged 7-10. Do one before I go and one the morning after. All the leaders do the same thing and we wear masks the entire time. We temp check and hand sanitise the kids and ourselves too before coming in. Parents waiting outside and strict about not coming if feeling ill. We try to do outdoor things if we can but it’s getting harder with the weather and I’m running out of ideas. None of us have had it so far. Only other time I’ve done them is if I’m going out out. (If feeling ill, the lateral flow tests might not work work and it’s better to get a PCR) by Kimbalee84 (Fri 8th Oct 2021 7:38pm)
  • The Magpie’s nest in Govan is the one you want! On Burleigh Street across from Brechin Bar, just at the back of govan shopping centre. Large room out the back containing bookcases full floor to ceiling with books. It’s ridiculously well organised by genre then alphabetically by author - makes it ridiculously easy to find a fav author. I’ve found some cracking big chunky “coffee table” style books. Since you mentioned it, there’s a section for classics (obviously not new or firsts). Haven’t found one better than this! by Kimbalee84 (Fri 15th Oct 2021 4:50pm)
  • Recently had Invisalign but haven’t been able to see my own dentist since 2019 so i had to private treatment with them. I assume it’s the same as what my dentist would have done. No mention of not being able to do things because of covid. Had no issues getting the appointments either. It’s not cheap though but might be worth it if it’s getting worse by Kimbalee84 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 2:01pm)
  • Govan dry socks is good for exploring and got some good bits of graffiti. Also along the Clyde, going from the jury’s in hotel to the Clutha. The big beautiful tiger is gone now though. by Kimbalee84 (Mon 18th Oct 2021 6:04pm)

  • [McQueen Heating](https://mcqueenheating.co.uk) recommended by friends and through the Nextdoor app, this guy was fantastic. Turned up when they said they would, really easy to get hold of by phone and email. They were great with calling me and keeping me updated. They were SO tidy and quick. Price was really reasonable. (He works alongside plumber guy, combined they were ace) Stay away from Stuart Clelland from Airdrie - complete cowboy. Told me I needed a new boiler, took my money then never showed to fit it (just excuses which I had to chase to get, no messages to say he wasn’t coming). Refused to give me money money back. Found him on Reliable Traders, they’ve since kicked him off the site. by Kimbalee84 (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 12:32pm)
  • Wilson street pantry, great wee cafe in merchant city by Kimbalee84 (Wed 27th Oct 2021 10:49am)
  • I took it to trading standards (it’s still with them for the mo). Also to the website I found him on. They removed his profile and banned him. (Friends wanted me to go to the police since he said he would only give me my money back if he could come to my house and give it to me in person…! He knew where I lived and that I live alone but kept sending WhatsApps saying he’d come to my door.) by Kimbalee84 (Sun 28th Nov 2021 5:40pm)
  • I found him on Rated People, they removed him too (then he messaged me giving me abuse!) My bank said it was fraud as he’d taken money then not fitted the new boiler so they challenged the payment with his bank but he’d wiped out his account so it couldn’t be claimed back. My bank then said his bank closed his account and there will be “markers” if he tries to open another one Good shout re Gas Safe, didn’t know about them - I’ll get in touch with them!!! I went via Citizens Advice for the money, they sent me docs for a resolution scheme to send to him. He’s ignored them so far. by Kimbalee84 (Wed 1st Dec 2021 12:42pm)
  • Last place I lived had one of these flats next door, I didn’t know when I bought it and it was years before I realised. Council called it a TAMU, temporary accommodation management unit. Most of the tenants were very young mums who’d stay for a few months, really kept to themselves and it was very quiet. It was a furnished flat and I’m guessing it was done up to suit a new mum or someone with young kids - would explain why it was always the same sort of tenant. I was there for years without any problems and didn’t know it was a unit until a guy moved in, having parties every night during the week, a few of us made a noise complaint to the council and they came out to visit, explained it was a temp unit, guy moved out soon after and it went back to being pretty quiet. Could you speak to some of the neighbours to get a feel for how it’s been or what it’s normally like/who is normally there? by Kimbalee84 (Fri 10th Dec 2021 1:23pm)
  • No cos I don’t want you to do that and I guarantee I’m not the only one. I don’t need to know you to know that. Drop me a DM, I’ll be up for a little bit longer before going to sleep. Can chat about what’s bothering you or happy to just listen. by Kimbalee84 (Tue 21st Dec 2021 1:38am)
  • You’re right, I don’t know and I can’t change anything for you. You don’t have to go into any detail here, esp not a random off Reddit but a professional can absolutely help you. Just gotta get you on that path, nobody is gonna come and put you on it but folk can guide you there if you’re up for it. The offer still stands if you want to chat to let off steam, a rant, shoot the shit, whatever. Mate, I’ve been where you are and I’m not gonna tell you it’s all fucking rainbows and sunshine or that there’s a quick fix cos there isn’t, it’s fucking tough but don’t give up. But I copied the advice on the post and also asked for more money in an interview I had this earlier week… About 20mins ago they offered slightly higher than what I asked for. • Here’s a map of the road closures and the local access only. [DF concerts bellahoustan road closures](https://imgur.com/a/VNRoZu6) Either get the tube or the dumbreck train - whole place turns into a complete standstill when it finishes and you’ll be sitting in traffic for ages if you try to drive. by Kimbalee84 (Mon 6th Jun 2022 5:43pm)
  • Haven’t seen any in glasgow charity shops but there’s a massive selection of colours and sizes (even some brand new) at the Cancer Research shop at Linwood, next to Asda. Can get a pair for under a tenner by Kimbalee84 (Thu 16th Jun 2022 10:31pm)

  • I used [All Pass Driving](https://allpassdriving.co.uk/intensive-driving-courses/intensive-driving-courses-glasgow/), few years ago. Did about 25 hrs over four days, test on the fifth with no previous lessons. Warning though, it’s tough going, not cheap and you’re not guaranteed to pass. I needed to have passed my theory and to have my practical test booked/confirmed before I could book the course (it might have changed now, worth checking with them.) Maybe Arnold Clark dual control car instead? Good for top up practice Good luck! by Kimbalee84 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 9:42am)
  • Can recommend both Cat in a flap and also City Whiskers - used their websites, both reliable and loads of their sitters are cat owners so really seem to adore cats. I’ve tried a cattery and could recommend one if you’re really really stuck. Mine was really well looked after but she’s a nervous wee thing and seemed to find the experience pretty stressful. Being at home with a sitter, she seemed alot happier by Kimbalee84 (Wed 12th Oct 2022 8:12pm)
  • Absolutely! Struggle to do it in the house as my cat wants to play with the floss! by Kimbalee84 (Wed 1st Feb 2023 4:42pm)
  • Absolute silence? Emailed directly to students and lecturers, they’ve posted on their Facebook and Twitter pages about it, it’s on college website and it’s been in the press on Glasgow times… They’re saying structural so it’ll need to be investigated which’ll take a bit of time to get the exact cause. Won’t be a quick fix by Kimbalee84 (Wed 15th Feb 2023 2:51pm)
  • What is it you’re looking to know? They’re not gonna tell you exactly which window or wall is an issue. It’ll be generic info, not specifics. Emails and social media don’t typically come directly from the principal or with names or job titles attached but each message has contact details for student welfare. It’s not like the principal won’t be aware but they’re not gonna tell each person individually, it’ll general info, mass comms’ed out. I wouldn’t expect news articles to tell you more than what the college has directly told you either. There’s a structural issue with the building. I get it’s annoying to not have a timeline but it’s a big building. It’ll take time to check whatever it is and do it properly rather than let people in and someone gets injured by Kimbalee84 (Wed 15th Feb 2023 4:09pm)
  • So if it’s not a timeline to get back in the building, a bespoke building structural report or a personalised email from the principal, what are you wanting to know? Copy of contact details from the emails, news articles and social media posts. • [Wild Rose](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Rose_(film)) Not so much a romcom but I really enjoyed this film. Based in Glasgow, struggling young mum dreams of being a country singer. Was on All4/Film4 recently, might still be on demand. by Kimbalee84 (Sun 2nd Apr 2023 7:05pm)

  • Another vote for City of Glasgow college course. Signed up with some mates to do Cooking for Friends. Most were pairs or groups of pals but a few people on their tod. Was under a tenner a class (plus your ingredients) and l taught by Gary Maclean - proper chef but totally normal, down to earth guy. He won Masterchef the Professionals (obviously dunno if he’s still there tho) I couldn’t even chop an onion but was all very manageable and adaptable recipes. They’ll tell you what you’re cooking in advance of the class and you being along the ingredients like chicken, leeks, salmon (unless it’s something daft like a pinch of this or that or something tiny that’s hard to come be, they’ll provide that.) And they were really helpful, if you didn’t like something eg duck, they’d adapt the recipe to something you did like so you’d not be taking home food you wouldn’t/couldn’t eat. Noticed you mentioned Indian/Asian cooking - I can’t remember exactly but we did a Thai hot and sour soup, a fancy curry. Normally we’d do a main and a desert each night https://www.cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk/courses/cooking-friends-2023-04-18 by Kimbalee84 (Mon 8th May 2023 2:36pm)
  • Cats Protection has volunteers that look after cats long term in the volunteers home eg when the cat needs rehoming. Obviously you’re wanting yours back when you return but maybe worth giving them a call, see if they can help or point you in the right direction? (You’re definitely doing the right thing avoiding a cattery for that length of time. I’ve got an indoor furry roommate and space to accommodate a temp house guest if that’s something you’d wanna do) by Kimbalee84 (Fri 19th May 2023 9:11pm)

  • Try the Farmfoods on Paisley Road West, G52 3QN - Short walk to the park and plenty parking Handy for shooting off to the motorway via Cardonald or up through Corkerhill but far enough away from all the road closures https://preview.redd.it/c3xqqcq2hu7b1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=330c6ec7abe30bad8f4dc98347372594d6319c83 by Kimbalee84 (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 11:36pm)
  • Not tried it but I’d say no chance of jumping the fence. The fences throughout the park are just your usual flimsy see through silver ones ones but the “fences” around the actual gig itself are these big massive solid, flat, 10ft high metal things - think shipping container but higher. The only breaks in them are like where they open the up to make them into gates for the gig. Go to the top of the hill, it’s not all fenced off and it’s a decent view. Just find a spot no completely blocked by trees by Kimbalee84 (Sat 24th Jun 2023 9:31am)

  • Another for SSPCA Cardonald - if there’s only outdoor on the website, give them a call or pop in. Last few times I’ve popped in, they’ve had indoor cars needed rehomed but hadn’t been put on the website yet cos they were waiting on getting their pics taken by Kimbalee84 (Wed 5th Jul 2023 8:11pm)
  • Think the best route (if wanting to avoid roads) would be to get from queen street and cut down argyle street through to st enoch sq and use the cycle path near Hootananny/by the river/at south Portland street bridge. That path should take you along the Clyde then over bells bridge to get to the science centre. There’s a shared bus cycle path that goes roughly the same route, im just a big scared and stick to the actual cycle paths by Kimbalee84 (Thu 20th Jul 2023 12:18pm)
