  • I didn't think that Campus rejected people before 11pm. Getting in for free and not getting searched. No wonder polis were always in there. by cammyk123 (Mon 7th Jan 2019 3:47pm)

  • Just sold about 75 of mine to some guy with a van. Made a tidy profit on them and ive still got about 20 or so sitting in the flat. Wish I kept all the crates I bought before the tax came out but. Could have made a lot more money. by cammyk123 (Thu 24th Jan 2019 12:19pm)
  • Id deffos go see Catfish and the Bottlemen if the tickets were like 20 or 30 quid. Went last year to see Killers and they were very good but TRNSMT as a festival was pretty shit. by cammyk123 (Mon 18th Feb 2019 5:45pm)

  • I seen a post on BBC news about the company not being affected by it and actually gained money this year. Could be other circumstances that caused the increase in money but hopefully they feel it in the future and bring it bavk by cammyk123 (Wed 27th Mar 2019 10:39am)
  • Is the group chat just for this meetup or do you guys do other stuff in it? by cammyk123 (Mon 15th Apr 2019 1:16pm)
  • I've been to that very atm loads of times, I think everyone is aware that its one of the only atms in that area that don't charge you. Its a very open atm and firewater with its bouncers are right next to it. Pretty brazen of them to rob you there but I suppose that's what happens when theres fuck all police on the street at that time. by cammyk123 (Mon 15th Apr 2019 1:16pm)

  • Said this to my mate from Edinburgh when he was up at the weekend. Spotted some 2 police at Waxys and said thats the only police you'll see tonight. I was right and we were out till 3. by cammyk123 (Thu 16th May 2019 9:55am)
  • You can use those zonecards to get travel on subway, rail and "most" buses. What "most" buses are is beyond me because theres no list online of the ones you can use and ones you can't, as far as I'm aware. I was thinking about getting one because I need a train then bus to get to my new work but someone tried to get on with one of those cards the other day and the driver refused him. by cammyk123 (Mon 20th May 2019 5:18pm)
  • Its the U1 to UWS uni. Its still a first bus so not sure why they wouldn't accept it. by cammyk123 (Mon 20th May 2019 6:09pm)

  • My friend got his bike stolen (while it was chained up) literally about 3 seconds from the subway entrance. He went inside to ask about cctv and if anyone saw anything. He never got his bike back. If your bike is literally feet away from the entrance of a subway and it gets stolen in the middle of the day, where is it safe? by cammyk123 (Mon 19th Aug 2019 8:08am)

  • Ive done it online once before. Website crashed about 5 times and I gave up. Next day I tried it and it crashed a few more times then eventually let me submit the details. Took about a week to hear back and I got like 1.60 back on my 6.30 ticket. The forum also makes you enter the same fucking information about 3 times. by cammyk123 (Tue 29th Oct 2019 6:13pm)

  • That place is fucking mental and always full of wee guys and dealers. The bouncer (that used to work there?) was always wearing nice clothes and I saw him several times beat the shit out of people. Not seen him there in a while so maybe he got fired. by cammyk123 (Sat 21st Dec 2019 11:09pm)

  • I remember another team in my old working on this. I saw some photos of it and I was like fucking hell, that looks atrocious. How longs it been like that for? Over a month was the answer I got. That was the last I ever heard of that team working on it and I was pretty good friends with a few in that group. I guess the private company that owns it doesn't give a shit about fixing it. I can imagine it'd be expensive to fix it. There should be laws in place that when you buy land, it should be your responsibility to fix it. by cammyk123 (Sat 28th Dec 2019 7:49pm)

  • I've lived on the border of Govan / Linthouse 22 years. Area used to be dodgy as fuck, fights happening all the time outside my house near the pub but it never happens anymore. Its a decent area that has had a lot of improvement over the years and I reckon while be getting more money invested in it over the next little while. I may be looking at the area through my own rose colour glasses but I would chose to stay here if my work wasn't so far away. I also lived in Anderston for about a year and a half and id say that area was no more dodgy than Govan. by cammyk123 (Sat 11th Jan 2020 8:31am)

  • I honestly think the reason they don't have public transport available 24/7 is because the Taxi service would literally collapse overnight. Honestly I couldn't care less if they did collapse. Paying 15 quid for a journey that coats 2 quid on the bus in the evening is ridiculous. by cammyk123 (Thu 13th Feb 2020 5:27pm)

Didn't really believe it when all of twitter was talking about it but my mum said this morning that her union leader has confirmed it as well. • Also going to have to get public transport to my job next week and not a critical qorkee. We are 1 of a handful of teams in the office. Maybe 30 people in my building which usually has hundreds. The IT in my company has been in the "final stages" of getting a software to work that will allow us to work from home as we need desktops to work and everyone sent home can just use laptops. by cammyk123 (Sun 22nd Mar 2020 2:22pm)

  • I was there on Tuesday. All tables are spaced out very well and a one way system to go to the toilet. Pretty much everyone that was there when I went on Tuesday was adhering to guidance. Honestly this shite getting posted is getting old. We've just about eradicated this virus in Scotland. by cammyk123 (Sun 12th Jul 2020 3:42pm)

  • This is pretty much me as well, I was living at home for the first 5 or so months of lockdown and just got a flat in the past month. It really affects your mental health being stuck inside all day, especially with parents. After the first 3 or so months I was just like fuck it, im wearing my mask to the shop, sanitising my hands and doing as much as I can but im meeting 3 or 4 mates in their house for a drink. Ive been meeting up with mates in the pub and in their house every other weekend, its not as if there is 30 of us in a flat together, just 5 or 6. The reddit consensus seems to be, stay in your house every single day and only leave for your food shop once a week. A lot of people (myself included) just can't live like that, we need social stimulation in life. by cammyk123 (Fri 9th Oct 2020 5:24pm)
  • I used to pass by it every day going home from work and never seen it opened. I just assumed that it had shut down, what times does it open? 12-3?! by cammyk123 (Fri 23rd Oct 2020 12:39am)
  • I would just take the advice with a bit of salt honestly. Ive had advice about areas from a couple places in Glasgow from this subreddit and everyone said how much of a shithole area it is. I now live pretty close to the Calton area and haven't had any bother in months since moving in to my flat. Were all pessimistic as fuck and I don't think you could ask for advice on an area and not get, "its a shithole" from some people. by cammyk123 (Sat 31st Oct 2020 4:03pm)
  • Same thing happens to me, the app takes them far away from my actual address. I always message them on ubereats and they ignore it. At first it was not a big deal but after literally every single delivery, im like dude, come on? Just look at the numbers on the door. by cammyk123 (Sat 7th Nov 2020 9:44am)
  • I've noticed quite a lot of people absolutely out of it just lying at bus stops and actually saw a woman sit on a chair outside a shop a few weeks ago, she was just pishing herself, through her clothes. I saw another young guy sitting at a bus stop, I think withdrawing from herion, being sick everywhere at a bus stop. I asked the woman if she was alright but she was on another planet, I didn't really know what to do. I always feel bad for these kinds of people but its like what am I supposed to do to help if they are fucked out of their mind. Its also like, im just trying to get a bus and not see a junkie throw up every one of his organs. Its been really quite bad recently, probably because of COVID. by cammyk123 (Sun 22nd Nov 2020 1:43pm)
  • Pretty much the same with where I stay now mate, maybe I just have a low bar of what I find "acceptable" but ive not had much trouble at the 3 different places ive stayed at in Glasgow. by cammyk123 (Sun 22nd Nov 2020 1:45pm)
  • I moved in to this area about 3 month ago. Not had any trouble. If you're used to areas with a *wee* bit of roughness then you'll be fine. Totally know what you mean about people saying the area is terrible. They are talking out their arse in my opinion. I've got several mates that all stay in the area (5 minute walk radius) and they've never had any problems. by cammyk123 (Thu 3rd Dec 2020 2:42am)
  • Honestly I feel as though its also on the shops / government for not providing security to refuse people in without a mask and limiting the number of people in the shop. I went to the new aldi that opened up at the forge and it was crazy how ram packed it was. I just got a couple items and dipped by cammyk123 (Sun 13th Dec 2020 11:19am)
  • Is it just me that hasn't had to have a test? I feel as though everyone else has but ive not had symptoms or been contacted to say someone ive been in contact with has it. by cammyk123 (Tue 22nd Dec 2020 3:18pm)
  • If you took this subs advice and didn't move in to a place because, "it's a bit iffy" you'd never move in anywhere. by cammyk123 (Fri 8th Jan 2021 4:41pm)
  • I used the app to request a bulky uplift. It takes you to another login screen within the app after already making an account to open the app and you have to fill out a form. They sent me an email a couple days later saying they'll come in a month. Phoning them up is pointless because all of the services are suspended because of covid unless you are vulnerable . by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Jan 2021 9:42am)
  • Bin collections since I moved in to my flat in September have been tragic. Weeks without collections and when they do collect they collect 1 bin and not the other 3. by cammyk123 (Tue 19th Jan 2021 11:43am)
  • Its an absolute riot near me. My little house to hols the bina is full of peoples old cookers, chairs, chest of drawers. Can barely get any bins in it. The one for the flat next to me is ever worse. People have just dumped all their rubbish in it and not given a fuck about putting it in actual bins. Just about died from the smell when trying to put some of my rubbish in the only bin inside it. by cammyk123 (Mon 25th Jan 2021 11:23am)
  • I had to disable 5g on my phone because it kept trying to connect but not finding anything and for some reason wouldn't go down to 4g. Since I turned it off its been fine. by cammyk123 (Fri 19th Feb 2021 2:02am)
  • I caught my upstairs neighbours fly tipping outside the flat we live in the other day. When I confronted them about it they couldn't be less arsed about it and they said they've phoned the council to come and collect their rubbish (100% do not believe that they did) I phoned up my factors and landlord to come and collect the rubbish and they really did not seem to care about the fly tipping. They were really just interested in what the rubbish was and where. They never even mentioned that I should phone the police or that they will send a letter / fine out to the people doing it. The people in charge don't seem to care at all it seems. by cammyk123 (Wed 10th Mar 2021 10:32pm)
  • I assume its proportionate to how much has been littered? They left 2 sofas and they've been collected already. by cammyk123 (Thu 11th Mar 2021 1:41pm)
  • This used to happen to me every now and again. I'd come out and it was unsnibbed. I used to have lock it again. Doesn't really happen at all in the past 4 or 5 months. Why on earth would you feel responsible for your neighbour who got locked out and lost his keys? by cammyk123 (Sun 21st Mar 2021 7:27pm)

  • I looked at the contract they gave me and its just the one number to phone and they say that I won't be refunded if I don't get prior permission from my landlord to get something fixed. Their offices open tomorrow so I'm going to get my landlords details and contact him directly and tell them how terrible the letting agency is. by cammyk123 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 8:24pm)
  • I wasn't really seeking information on how to fix it. Its fine for now and their office opens up tomorrow at 10 so im going down there tomorrow. As for contacting a plumber etc. My contract says I won't be refunded if I do repairs without the landlords permission. Ive also never really had an issue before so ive never had to ask for the landlord etc email / number. by cammyk123 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 8:22pm)
  • 1-2 lets. by cammyk123 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 8:20pm)
  • Thanks for the help mate, I know my landlords name etc. I have met him once when he came to see how I was doing when I moved in. That website doesn't give me a email or phone number for him either. Had a look in my contract and all of the phone numbers / emails for the landlord are just the letting agency numbers and emails. I plan on telling the landlord about how rubbish they are and that they don't have any out of hours number to phone that responds in an appropriate time. Still haven't received a message back from my letting agency and that's been a few hours now. by cammyk123 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 9:09pm)

  • Parents live right next to the parm and I lived there for about 20 years. Used to be a bit rough with bar fights etc. But ive no seen any of that for the last 10ish years. Place has cleaned up a lot. There's also a lot of development in and around the area so house prices are bound to go up. Govan subway is close as well and govan road has loads of bus stops on it that take you right in to town. by cammyk123 (Fri 25th Jun 2021 2:04pm)
  • Used to pass by a no ball games in the backyard and no dogs allowed sign in my old parents flat. Done it while bouncing a ball and walking my mates dog to the park. A bit different from your situation but if you're buying the flat, why on earth is that even in the contract. by cammyk123 (Fri 25th Jun 2021 2:08pm)
  • Richardson.tattoo on insta is good at this. I don't personally want that kind of work done on me, im more of a neo-traditional guy but his work is superb. Ice been in the shop a few times while he is tattooing someone and it looks great. by cammyk123 (Fri 25th Jun 2021 2:12pm)
  • Subscribe to what mate? You've not given a band name or anything lol by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Jun 2021 5:18pm)
  • Nice one mate. You have some decent takeaways near you, spice corner being one of them and some decent pubs nearby. Subway is also pretty close. by cammyk123 (Tue 27th Jul 2021 12:38am)
  • My next door neighbour used to get in to screaming fights at all times of the day. I heard him at like 4am one day and just went round and just about smashed his door down and told him to stop shouting. He said sorry, didn't realise what time it was etc. I've had to do it twice since them but the shouting has significantly reduced since I moved in. by cammyk123 (Thu 29th Jul 2021 1:52pm)

  • Seen this on tik tok and was amazed that no one was doing anything? In this day and age i'd like to hope that someone would realise what was happening and ask her if she's alright and get her a taxi home. by cammyk123 (Thu 12th Aug 2021 3:00am)

  • I've personally noticed lots of empty shelves in tesco / aldi / lidl the past few months. Was just waiting for the media to pick up on it and make it 100x worse. We are, in my experience and location at least having major distribution problems already before the media picked up on it. by cammyk123 (Fri 24th Sep 2021 8:55pm)
  • Someone asking if anyone else was going to a concert got their post removed. Lmao what? by cammyk123 (Tue 28th Sep 2021 4:48pm)
  • Yup the guys come to mine whenever they feel and take whatever bins they feel it seems. I asked one of them if he could chuck a small chest of drawers in the back and he flat out refused. It was absolutley tiny (kids size) and I could easily pick it up and carry it to the back of the bin truck. There's bin 4 or 5 beer cases, neatly stakced with all the empty beer bottles in them sitting next to the bin for months now, none of them seem to want to take it. by cammyk123 (Fri 15th Oct 2021 4:48am)
  • With the prices scotrail charge, how the fuck can they not pay their workers a decent wage. by cammyk123 (Fri 15th Oct 2021 9:42am)
  • Chest of drawers would fit in the bin, just didn't want to take up space in the bin with it. Beers bottles aren't mine but they're stacked very neatly next to the recycling which gets emptied once in a blue moon, the food waste gets emptied about once in a blue moon as well. by cammyk123 (Fri 15th Oct 2021 9:40am)
  • I mean don't they just sell a lot online? by cammyk123 (Sat 16th Oct 2021 8:27pm)
  • Tried getting an uber last night and a ride that would cost me about 12 quid before covif now costs 26 quid. Pretty mental. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 9:41am)
  • If you really want to stay out past 4 you need to go to an illegal rave. Not been to one in a while but I assume they are in the same places. I stopped going because they started opening them at like 5/6am where as it used to be easier to get in at like 3/4am. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 9:49am)
  • I just cannot get over how expensive gigs are. You pay an arm and leg to get there and the pay 6 quid for a pint when you get in the place. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 9:44am)
  • I thought tbhey were like little gummies. Didnt realise they were butter / wax consistently. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 9:50am)

  • I remember one time I got an order delivered from a cyclist and he handed me the bag with my juice in it and it was absolutley soaking, ringing wet. He just looked at me and never said a word. There was about 1/4 of each cup left. I mean, I feel bad for the guy as he's just trying to do his job but come on bro, how can you hand that over and not say anything?? by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 11:17am)
  • I've never actually had a problem getting a refund from them. On like my 6th time getting a refund I thought they might be thinking im taking the piss now but they refund it every time without any questions. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 12:24pm)
  • Oh yea, I always do get a refund on the items I never recieved. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 12:22pm)

  • Is having 3 takeaways in a month a lot? by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 12:44pm)
  • It was just a throw away comment really, sometimes I go a month without any, sometimes ill get 3, sometimes 1. My point to my post is that Mcdonalds delivery is shite. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Oct 2021 12:50pm)

  • Had that happen a few times as well, the driver having zero knowledge of any part of Glasgow. Worst is when they call you while they're cycling and you can just hear whooshing and rain. by cammyk123 (Mon 18th Oct 2021 1:16am)
  • Thanks mate, will seek advice from the citizens advice bureau tomorrow. See what they say by cammyk123 (Thu 21st Oct 2021 4:02pm)
  • Honestly if I had to walk that far, I would have just slept in town somewhere and got a bus in the morning, why did you need to get back home? by cammyk123 (Thu 28th Oct 2021 1:20pm)
  • I really wanted to see the union stick to their guns and not back down, it fucks over regular people as well though who are trying to get in to town so I can see why they went with the deal, still a bit of a shite deal though. I have no insight in to how unions and union politics work though. by cammyk123 (Fri 29th Oct 2021 2:24am)
  • My mate was across the street and was told he couldn't leave his house lol. by cammyk123 (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 12:24am)
  • Unreal the amount of polis walking around recently. Only around the delegates and people who have travelled from around the world to be here but fuck all for the people of Glasgow who have actually lived here all their lives. It's just another kick in the face honestly that we aren't worth it. Makes me sad. by cammyk123 (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 5:39pm)
  • The normsl bikes are £1 for <0.5hr and an extra quid for every hour. Electric bikes are £2 every 20 mins. You have to take them back to a station. There used to be fucking loads at every station but a few months ago they massively reduced the number of bikes, not sure why. by cammyk123 (Mon 8th Nov 2021 6:21pm)
  • I'm sure these comments will be intresting. by cammyk123 (Sun 14th Nov 2021 12:48am)

  • May be unethical but if you dump your items and go on the app and say it's been fly tipped, they come pretty fast. by cammyk123 (Thu 18th Nov 2021 12:47pm)
  • They have MASSIVELY reduced the amount of bikes in the past 4 o 5 months and pretty much completly removed the elctric ones from circulation. Pretty sad as I quite enjoyed using them by cammyk123 (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 10:16am)
  • My GP wouldnt see me, the receptionist just said that I need to take paracetomal and get rest. Phoned them up again recently to change my address and they told me I need to come in lol. I know its not the same as being seen by a GP but just thought it was funny. by cammyk123 (Wed 24th Nov 2021 9:28am)
  • I love that their is no mention in the description of how fucked the place is lol. The second floor is literally caved in in the kitchen. by cammyk123 (Fri 26th Nov 2021 12:17pm)
  • Honestly I swear some people on reddit have never left the house. Have you never discussed a potential recruit with a work colleague? by cammyk123 (Fri 26th Nov 2021 12:25pm)
  • Do you know for sure what neighbour it is? Chap his door and ask him why? by cammyk123 (Fri 3rd Dec 2021 3:53pm)
  • They are the absolute worst bus service ive ever used in my entire life. Luckily when I used to have to travel by bus to get to work, it was stagecoach and mcgills which arent amazing but definatley better. The few times ive got a first bus, the driver just mubles or points at the screen twlling you how much it is and if you dont have exactly £2.63 then fuck you, no change... I now live close to the city centre so just take a 25 minute walk to work. by cammyk123 (Mon 6th Dec 2021 3:03pm)
  • They can absolutley afford to give the bus drivers more money but not increase the bus faires. It's just that that would cut in to first bus profits. Justlooked it up and they made £70m last year and have made £109m this year. by cammyk123 (Mon 6th Dec 2021 3:05pm)

  • Yea but they can also side with your landlord and I'm sure they can give even more of an increase? by cammyk123 (Wed 12th Jan 2022 6:14am)

  • I remember you used to get cards telling you were they were and snapchats for the place, went down a few times in the past year or so and I think theyve all gone or maybe moved somewhere else? I cant really hack staying up till 9am anymore off my nut. by cammyk123 (Sun 23rd Jan 2022 1:05pm)
  • Mate I think you're massively over thinking this lol. Break the lock and just day you have no idea who broke it. They arent going to "squash" you over a broken padlock and how would they even prove its you? Trust me, you have a lot of power on your side as a tenant. by cammyk123 (Sun 23rd Jan 2022 9:14pm)

I know it's a bit different changing your address and actually wanting to see a GP, just thought it was pretty odd that you can't do that online now. by cammyk123 (Thu 17th Feb 2022 1:52am)
  • I recently signed up with a private doctor at my work. I was a bit hesitant at first honestly because I was worried about playing in to the "demise" of the NHS by normalising having to pay for private medical treatment. by cammyk123 (Thu 17th Feb 2022 1:57am)

  • Honestly I think in the most unlikely scenario, Glasgow itself would have a missle with its name on it and we would be vaporized. I'd rather have that happen than just survive with 2/3rd degree burns for days. All in all, it's not something that keeps me awake at night though. by cammyk123 (Sun 27th Feb 2022 5:37pm)
  • Used to have a go called "cars" in our street. Used to be constantley pished and just walk about as far as I could tell. by cammyk123 (Wed 2nd Mar 2022 8:13am)
  • Mental that they're still using covid as an excuse to run reduced services. I've only had to phone the council a few times for council tax and litter pickup but fuck me, i'd rather shag my own mum than deal with them again. Most unhelpful cunts i've ever dealt with, it's mostly a robot you're talking to and if you do get through to someone, they pass the problem on to someone else. by cammyk123 (Fri 4th Mar 2022 12:50pm)
  • I booked a Glasgo at the weekend there and never ended up getting in it. They still charged me £26. I've emailed them and they've not emailed me back, going to take it up with my bank if i've still not heard back from them by tomorrow. by cammyk123 (Tue 8th Mar 2022 11:58pm)
  • Ive walked closer to my destination before to try and drive down prices a bit and often the prices just get higher for some insane reason. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 10:54am)
  • Is it just basically network / glasgo cabs or take an uber now? Like literally what other taxi service is there. Thankfully I live close to town so usually just walk home but it'd be nice to be able to get a taxi home that didnt cost 30 quid. I walked back from swg3 to Dennistoun the other weekend cause taxi prices were just mental. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 10:53am)
  • Im having a hard time believing taxi drivers are making more minimum 2k a month by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 10:55am)
  • Thanks a lot mate, I was sort of thinking to myself that it must do timber cutting because its such a big shop. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 11:32am)
  • The company that owns b and q reported profits of £750m, up from £103m the year nefore. Im a bit sick of this mantra of these companies aren't making as much money. They are making absolutely massive profits because they are able to blame covid on any part of the cut services they provide. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 12:54pm)
  • Their timber cutting guy goes home at 12 and no one else can operate the saw machine 🤷‍♂️ They said they won't cut my wood because its a kitchen appliance? Got my money back and I guess ill go elsewhere for my new shelves. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 12:56pm)
  • I took them up and the guy operating the saw was away home at 12 so no one could cut it for me. The guy said they won't cut their own kitchen appliances shelfs anyway if he was in. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 5:34pm)
  • 10-12 shifts, 6 days a week? Fuck me man that us some hard graft. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 5:33pm)
  • I just went to b and q cause its closest to me. I wasnt really thinking elsewhere cause ud need to carry it home. Might have to go screwfix or something and take the bus or get them delivered. Just seems so over the tip getting 2 kitchen shelfs delivered though... by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 5:33pm)
  • Is that the flats at silvergrove? My mate lives there now. by cammyk123 (Thu 10th Mar 2022 10:06pm)
  • Yea me and some mates go down to the green when its nice weather and just play some football and have a drink and we've only been talked to by the police once and they just came over and asked us to politely clear out lol. We have been harassed quite a few times by random 14 year old neds wanting a drink and a joint from us and just generally looking for trouble. Also seen a few glassings / stabbings by said little neds. Mental that wee kids now a days just want to fucking cause it with a group of mid and late 20s folk having a bbq. by cammyk123 (Sat 19th Mar 2022 9:19am)
  • Yea this flat im in just now was like the second I saw, I took it because I was barely able to even see the ad for flats online before they were taken. Flat is quite the shit hole but better than staying at parents. by cammyk123 (Mon 21st Mar 2022 6:22pm)
  • Mines is going up £600/yr. Currently paying £6k/yr. by cammyk123 (Mon 21st Mar 2022 6:21pm)
  • I had real trouble looking during covid. Places were just not accepting walk in viewings. My landlord is the absolute worst as well, got a new sofa because I was tired of how broken the other was. He said I could remove the old one but wouldn't pay for it to be removed. by cammyk123 (Mon 21st Mar 2022 6:27pm)
  • Yea, it was his furniture and it was broken and extremely old. by cammyk123 (Mon 21st Mar 2022 11:23pm)
  • I'd say the rent was pretty average for where I am at the time but it seems to have went up a bit since then. I could find a place nearby for a bit cheaper but the whole hassle of moving flats just doesn't make it quite worth it yet. If he puts it up the same next year then i'd deffos be looking to move out. by cammyk123 (Mon 21st Mar 2022 11:25pm)
  • Im still raging at Glasgo taking £26 from me for a taxi I never even got. They dont even have a way to dispute or someone to phone and complain. I emailed their email to ask for a refund and never got anything back. by cammyk123 (Mon 28th Mar 2022 1:27pm)
  • Yea ive noticed that a lot. Your journey will get ignored and a couple quid added to it until some taxi picks the job up. by cammyk123 (Mon 28th Mar 2022 1:26pm)

  • I remember getting a train from work in Blantyre once a few years ago and these wee kids were smashing the door on the train shelter bit that you could sit and wait in. After like the 3rd or 4th time of them hitting the windows, the ticket employee told them to rap it and they've phoned the polis. The wee neds could not give a single fuck and left the station after like 20 mins, no polis showed up in that time. Literally not a single one of the 5 or 6 folk just trying to get home, sitting the shelter said anything. I think back now and I feel like I probably would say something now a days but who knows. CCTV all over the station and they didn't care, just a couple wee 11 year old kids fucking making peoples life miserable cause they've got fuck all else to do. by cammyk123 (Thu 5th May 2022 11:46pm)
  • Mate, I'm no being funny but have you been on a train recently? I swear every single time I get on one now, there's always some scumbags running about the train, causing a scene. Admittedly I get trains now a days only when im going to / from pub but im sitting down having a single beer, no running about avoiding the ticket inspector cause I don't want to pay £2.15. When I got the train for my daily commute to work, it never really seemed as bad as it is now. by cammyk123 (Thu 5th May 2022 11:52pm)

  • I remember being on a mcgills 23 once and another passenger had to tell him every turn to take lmao. Guy literally had no idea where he was going and had to be told which bus stop to stop at as well. by cammyk123 (Mon 20th Jun 2022 12:09am)
  • Yea with the way the high street is going. The council are probably just glad that they have someone paying rent on the unit. by cammyk123 (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 2:57am)
  • I don't really understand this thinking? First are dreadful from my experience and we've not clue if GCC will make it better or worse. Feels like we're living in a society of "it's shit and always will be shit" instead of trying to improve things. by cammyk123 (Mon 27th Jun 2022 6:06pm)
  • Horrific patter hahah. by cammyk123 (Sun 3rd Jul 2022 4:22pm)
  • I went to his gig at Hydro last time he played. Stayed sort of at the back because I knew it was going to be full of all neds and I was right because someone set off a smoke bomb and everyone formed a wave to get away from it and loads of folk got pushed back, including me even when I was far away from it. I've been to several reggae, jungle and drum and bass festivals and they have been full of some of the nicest folk and I have no fear with being right up front where the DJ is at these events. by cammyk123 (Mon 4th Jul 2022 11:41pm)
  • Think it's just cause it's closer to home to a lot of folk. They spill out of these places and just continue in to the city. by cammyk123 (Mon 4th Jul 2022 11:49pm)
  • Howlin Wolf is the same for me. Nice place and the music is good but fuck me you have to scream at the person next to you for them to hear you. by cammyk123 (Tue 5th Jul 2022 12:50pm)

  • Drug dealer that lives block of flat over to mine and all his wee ned pals sit and eat outside and drop their rubbish at their feet. I don't understand it because with the way the wind goes, the rubbish mostly ends up right at his front door. He has (what I assume) his mum and little sister/cousin? round every now and again as well. by cammyk123 (Sun 17th Jul 2022 10:02pm)

  • I think its a good idea and would love to take part but im just terrified of reciving a 600 quid payment letter down the line. I suppose I could just put the money away in a savings and pay it when I do get the letter. They definitely *will* come after folk who haven't paid eventually and royally fuck them. I suppose that's the thing with movements though, big corporations will know so many folk are scared and will continue paying regardless. I just hope that the folk that aren't shitebags like me win. by cammyk123 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 10:16am)
  • Really sad state of affairs that everyone is just so used to it. Told my mates when we got in the pub and we all had a laugh about it. Its just normal that someone threatening to do you in after doing nothing wrong is seen as no big deal. by cammyk123 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 10:24am)
  • Some folk took drugs at my mates wedding couple month ago and one of their miss found him and was ragin. Didnt speak to him for rest of the night. We took drugs at his stag so he was fine with it but I just never bothered myself on his wedding night as I was told there was a few polis there. by cammyk123 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 10:31am)
  • They weren't some junkies, more like wee bams. The guy shouting looked like he went to gym 5 times a week but his pal that started on me was a big fat bastard. by cammyk123 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 11:12am)
  • Really well put together comment mate and it resonates with how I feel. Good to know you've bettered yourself and got things back on track. by cammyk123 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 11:58am)
  • You've never been hasseled on the street in Glasgow? by cammyk123 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 2:19pm)
  • Wouldn't go to that 4 corners anytime past 4pm honestly. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th Aug 2022 2:49am)
  • Bit mental to ask you to stop making noise on your first night in lol. I'd think after 11 or 12 on a school night is the cut off but not if it's the first night of noise making, only if it'd had been happening like 3 nights in a row. My neighbour came down and told me to keep it down one weekend night at like 3-4am and he was absolutely in the right, I turned the music off and told everyone to go home. by cammyk123 (Sat 6th Aug 2022 10:13pm)
  • Yea, choosing to live in the city and getting annoyed at folk playing music at 11pm is just a piss take. My mates old neighbour use to get annoyed at him having a wee night in with some drinks and music even though he only did it like once a month. On the flip side I have another mate who absolutely blares music till 6am and has never had a compliant and polis have only been called once during covid times and they were more concerned with how many folk were in the flat than the noise levels. And my mates talked to his downstairs and next door neighbour and they have never mentioned a thing to him about having loud music till all hours. by cammyk123 (Sat 6th Aug 2022 10:16pm)
  • It's live music at the weekend until 11pm. Come on to fuck man... by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 1:07am)
  • Mate, there is no way music from Junction 1 is reaching Kelvinbridge... by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 1:11am)
  • I live next to trnsmt and hear it when its on. by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:08am)
  • There is no chance music from junction 1 is reaching stepps hahahah, how loud do yous think this fucking stage is??? by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:35am)
  • Junction 1 it is. When I went all the main acts cancelled but the smaller stage is what I wanted to see so I was fine with it but my mate was quite annoyed. Still trying to get a refund from them for that. The prices are pretty fucking mental, like 7 quid for a vodka and I think it was 7/8 quid for panter milk and 10 quid for a pepperoni pizza. Its glens vodka as well, can literally see the 18 quid price tag on it when they pour it. Me and my mate managed to sneak in booze no bother so I'd definitely recommend that if you go. by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:44am)
  • Does it not work like council tax? Where if it's been lying empty then you have to pay double council tax. by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:40am)
  • Yea doesn't look like a daft wee pop up set up for a few weekends. by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:45am)
  • Nice one, where did you go and what did you get. by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:51am)
  • Our bins never got collected last time and the bin shed next to me was just fucking loaded with bin bags and when the bin men came the other day one of the bags burst and let litter fly all over the shop. With the wind most of it flys right in to the close overs door but I picked up some bits and pieces and put them in the bin. The rubbish problem in my area is absolutely dreadful, the bin men come and just randomly select on the day what bins they're going to collect and sometimes miss mine entirely. by cammyk123 (Sun 7th Aug 2022 11:50am)
  • There's a takeaway near me called Spice Grill and the pizzas there are unreal. Some of the best pizzas ive ever had. by cammyk123 (Wed 10th Aug 2022 1:55am)
  • I went and thought it was a decent venue. I don't live nearby so couldn't hear it but I live near the city so noise from live music has never really bothered me. Think it's a shame that a place for folk to listen to live music is being shut down. We need more money invested in scottish talent. by cammyk123 (Thu 11th Aug 2022 10:09am)
  • Tell us about it. Same folk got Junction 1 shut down. Folk out enjoying a bit of music until the late hour of 11pm. by cammyk123 (Fri 12th Aug 2022 1:52pm)
  • Just trying to get anywhere slightly out of the way is a nightmare. I recently went to my mates in bearsden who lived a 30 minute walk from the station or a 10 minute bus ride away but the bus comes once an hour... The bus would be servicing 1000s of people as well as it's at the bottom of the road for hundreds of houses. Of course no bodys going to rely on the bus when it comes that infrequently though. by cammyk123 (Sun 14th Aug 2022 12:48pm)
  • Was in my mates friends motor couple month ago and the guy was doing 110 on the motorway. Absolute lunatic and will probably never get in a car with him again. by cammyk123 (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:45pm)
  • Is it, aye mate. by cammyk123 (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 3:08am)
  • I've wanted to do it for a while as something to get a bit fitter and make some extra cash but im just a bit worried about not being fit enough for it honestly lol. Do they have any sort of requirements for how many deliveries you need to do a month/week. by cammyk123 (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 3:11am)
  • You want to offer some sort of evidence or something? by cammyk123 (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 10:10am)
  • I will always support working folk trying to get better pay / benefits. I've reported my bins not being collected several times but I never blamed the bin men because it's most likely higher ups telling the folk out collecting the actual bins that they need to hurry up and their numbers / budget have been slashed several times. by cammyk123 (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 7:39pm)
  • How? I get a single persons reduction. Does that count? by cammyk123 (Wed 24th Aug 2022 9:44am)
  • Sorry to say mate but literally nothing will happen and its the reason bike theft is so rampant in Glasgow. Years ago my mate got his bike stolen right outside Govan subway and the police told him they couldn't do anything with no cctv or witness or anything like that. When he asked the folk working at the subway if he could have the cctv they said no of course. Few weeks ago my co-worker got his bike stolen right outside our office. The secuirty guys said the cctv couldn't see it and not much else they could do. They can see the bike rack outside from their desk as well but still nothing to be done... by cammyk123 (Mon 5th Sep 2022 10:30am)
  • I got an bus early at the weekend home cause uber was saying it was 37 quid to get home. That was from Renfrew to Calton to be fair but still insane price to travel across Glasgow when the hus cost £2.50. by cammyk123 (Tue 6th Sep 2022 6:07am)
  • I was disappointed when I went to Platform for the first time in years to find that they don't have the little vans that sell food inside the place anymore and its just a big restaurant ahere you order food to your table. by cammyk123 (Tue 6th Sep 2022 6:09am)

  • I honestly think most people that post this sort of pish live extremely sheltered lives. What is some smacked out junkie going to do to you when walking home a bit pished, could probably push him over with a light nudge. I've walked home after nights out from town all the way to Govan when I lived with my folks, walked through Ibrox at these mad times and never experienced any bother. I just don't give it a second thought walking home and seeing the occasional scrap outside blue lagoon or some junkie asking for some change. by cammyk123 (Wed 19th Oct 2022 12:13am)
  • I think there's a huge difference in your run down person who has turned to drugs and scum who just have no desire to do anything with their life but steal and cause trouble. I can assure that when it's on your doorstep and some wee idiots are smoking crack, scrapping and drinking in your close you don't see the charity side of it and feel sorry for them and hope they get help. by cammyk123 (Wed 19th Oct 2022 12:19am)
  • Like most of the other comments are saying, your pals who dont want to go to gigs with you then fire in to you when you go to gigs yourself are the lame ones. I'm lucky in that I can usually get at least a few of my my pals to go to whatever gig I want to go to but there's been a couple times when ive went to gigs myself cause my mates weren't feeling the music. by cammyk123 (Sun 30th Oct 2022 12:32pm)
  • I remember me and a mate were sitting chatting outside round from my flat and an uber cyclist pulled up and looked confused. Me and my mate asked him where he was delivering to and it was literally the flat he was standing outside so we said to him yea its right there and he goes cycling down to the end of the street and around the block?? Me and my mate started shouting on him asking where he was going but he ignored us. Like 10 minutes go by and the guy whos food it was comes down and we tell him we'll tell the delivery guy where he is. Few minutes later and the guy comes back around and me and my mate were just like pointing at the building and he was still confused so we walked right up to the front door and he was about to take off again further down the road? We managed to stop the guy and pointed right at the door and buzzed the buzzer for him. Just unreal scenes. How that guy got the job is just beyond me. by cammyk123 (Mon 31st Oct 2022 1:33am)

  • Honestly work experience is the best way to get experience in CAD I think. I could possibly help you out a bit man, what software are you using? by cammyk123 (Thu 3rd Nov 2022 7:47pm)
  • Probably for bon fire night? by cammyk123 (Sat 5th Nov 2022 5:03pm)

  • I think a lot of folk don't accurately count up what they spend a week on food. I do my "weekly" shop that cost me about £30-40 but for lunch when im in the office ill get a tesco meal deal; £3.50, go to maxs in town for lunch; £5. I went to sugo last week for sinner; £22 Every now and again during the week, I'll get some snacks and bits and pieces as well. This also doesn't count the £5 kebab after a night out. by cammyk123 (Mon 12th Dec 2022 6:24am)
  • How people are suggesting five guys is beyond me. Their prices are fucking mental and the burgers are tiny. That chicken place (palace?) Near tolboth has good burgers. by cammyk123 (Mon 12th Dec 2022 6:39am)
  • Im not trying to sound like a big hard man who doesn't get fazed by this stuff... but it really doesn't faze you after a while tbh. Not to say that I see junkies fight every other day but a few months ago I was out with some work folk and crossed the road as 2 guys outside the pub were peltting in to each other. I walked down the road a bit and looked back and they were all just standing across the road looking at the fight. They called me a typical Glaswegian who doesn't even care 2 shirtless blokes are fighting each other on a Wednesday evening. by cammyk123 (Mon 12th Dec 2022 6:38am)
  • I have young female friends that are on both sides of the spectrum of walking home after a night out. One is pretty independent and finds it offensive when I offer to walk her way home and I have another friend who is a small girl and would never walk home herself after 8pm and would always get a taxi home. by cammyk123 (Mon 12th Dec 2022 6:41am)

He was in a wheelchair and stopped me and I listened to his story for about 20 seconds and said mate I really need to get home (it was 9pm and I'd just gotten back from a work trip down south) He said to me to just listen to his story before I cut him off lol... I said okay and let him continue for another 20 seconds and said mate, ive got no change on me, sorry and he just said for fucks sake and rolled away. The guy was asking for £55 or a hotel... Like sorry mate i don't have a spare £55 on me and I had my work laptop and a bag full of clothes from staying away on a work trip down south. by cammyk123 (Wed 14th Dec 2022 11:53pm)

  • The council came around and completely cleaned up the area around my flat and it looked spotless. Went outside today and it's covered in rubbish again. There's loads of wee neds around my bit that will just drop their food packaging st their feet once they're done. Ive thought about investing in some proper rubbish cleaning equipment but I just think, what's the point. The wee neds don't give a fuck and will just dump their rubbish again and why is it on me to solely clean up my area? We have 12 folk that live in the little area that gets littered all the time. The one good thing is that the neds don't come and sit and deal drugs out of my close anymore since the factors installed a decent lock and door. by cammyk123 (Tue 21st Feb 2023 9:09am)

  • The council came out and completely cleared the area around my flat, looked really nice. Within 2 weeks it was back to exactly how it was before. I've bought some tools to deal with the litter but just feel like im fighting a loosing battle. Why does it have to be on me to clean up everyone else's shite as well? It's not exactly what I want to be doing in my free time. by cammyk123 (Sun 5th Mar 2023 6:44pm)
  • It's my 1 little vice, smoking a vape. I know it's bad, but I go through maybe 2 a month? 1.5 more likely. Im pretty careful in my day to day life, I dont really eat fish, I recycle, and then GCC comes around and puts it all in the same bin. I try to avoid single use plastic as much as I can and re-use little plastic containers for storing stuff around the flat. I won't be surprised when it's banned, and I won't go out of my way to buy some black market vapes when it does get banned. Im pretty proud of giving up smoking and haven't had a fag in 1+ year, even on a night out on the piss I hate the taste. Im probably being incredibly selfish in my view that I don't want them banned, it just feels like the whole plastic / paper straw debate to me, plastic straws make like 0.01% of the entire plastic waste in the world and its a bit like virtue signalling / greenwashing or whatever you want to call it. Anyway, just my 2 cents on the matter by cammyk123 (Wed 15th Mar 2023 12:39pm)
  • Honestly if you hadnt compared GCC banning vapes to facism id be in support of your comment. by cammyk123 (Wed 15th Mar 2023 12:42pm)
  • It's just a bit of a pain, I think, for a lot of people. Easy enough to jump into the shop on a night out and pay a fiver for a wee vape. by cammyk123 (Wed 15th Mar 2023 12:41pm)
  • I know they're not complicated, and I'll most likely just not vape or smoke when the vapes get banned. by cammyk123 (Wed 15th Mar 2023 1:24pm)

  • Why are you calling them? You dont pay until 1st April. by cammyk123 (Thu 16th Mar 2023 11:35pm)
  • My flatmate paid late, like half the time, and they would be a bit annoyed but nother that serious. I'd just pay what you were last time, then pay the extra 5% or whatever you owe later when you get your actual bill. Think folk are overthinking it a little. by cammyk123 (Fri 17th Mar 2023 10:30am)
  • Mate, how has this been going on for months, and you've not spoken to her?!? Fucking speak to her, christ! by cammyk123 (Tue 21st Mar 2023 11:00am)
  • Mate, im at a bit of a loss as to why you've not done this months ago... Are you really asking if it's okay to ask someone to stop buzzing your buzzer several times a day? Grow a pair. by cammyk123 (Tue 21st Mar 2023 10:14pm)
  • Are you asking if you're a boring old bastard because you're concerned your SO goes on mad benders mid week all the time with her work? Fuck me man, how is this even a question annd youve not already left yet 😅 by cammyk123 (Thu 23rd Mar 2023 1:18am)

  • Yea, if they want folk to use public transport more, how about not charging £4.50 *a day* by cammyk123 (Thu 23rd Mar 2023 1:21am)

  • Were you last in, in 2004 or something lol? by cammyk123 (Sun 2nd Apr 2023 9:58am)
  • I was born in Linthouse and lived there for 20 years so can probably give you a decent insight. It used to be quite scummy, bar fights every few weeks and there was once a guy who got stabbed by a samuri sword on the clyde bridge. But the last 5-10 years? Its been absolutely fine. Dont get me wrong, you may still bump in to the occasional ned now and then, but literally every place in Glasgow, probably even Scotland will have that. There was a pub across the road from my parents place called fairfield bar where a guy got his hand machete off and since that happened, ive never heard a peep from the place and it seems like they have a good karoke night on Friday / Saturday. It's not *amazing* for pubs / restaurants honestly, id go through the tunnel through to partick or get a bus in to town if you want a proper pint and some music but there is the Amethyst which does decent food and live music occasionally. Apart from that, the only other pubs I can really think of are Old Govan Arms, the Kraken and Brechins which are quite rough and the old govan arms is a celtic pub, so depends what you're in to. The bridge from Partick to Govan will be massive for the econemy of both places. All in all, id say yea its a decent place to live and quite cheap just now. Theres loads of buses and the subway link to get you in to town. It was also about £13 home in a taxi last time I took one from the town to my folks in Linthouse. by cammyk123 (Tue 4th Apr 2023 12:43am)
  • Im curious as to when you lived there when you never experienced any crime at all? by cammyk123 (Tue 4th Apr 2023 12:45am)

  • Thanks mate. by cammyk123 (Tue 11th Apr 2023 8:57pm)
  • I got on a first bus the other day from Govan to Renfrew and it was £5?? I was a bit taken back by the price... I usually use Mcgills or Stagecoach and it's max £3.50 ish? Usually £2.60 if I can one from the town to my parents in Govan. by cammyk123 (Tue 11th Apr 2023 9:27pm)
  • I used to see her all the time going to work. Pretty sure she lives in the Govan area. by cammyk123 (Wed 12th Apr 2023 12:04am)
  • Burgers out that place are unreal. Go every now and then for lunch. Their £1 ice cream is great as well. by cammyk123 (Thu 13th Apr 2023 5:39pm)
  • Yea got told it would be 40 to take me from swg3 to calton after a night out. Started walking and he caught up with me and said 20. by cammyk123 (Sun 30th Apr 2023 5:52pm)
  • You put an offer in and they've said no mate, not sure what advice you're looking for? Asking for more than 10% over is mental. by cammyk123 (Mon 1st May 2023 5:39pm)
  • If they can't cause as little inconvenience as delaying a snooker game without getting hate from folk, what chance have we got at any real change lol. Literally, everything they've done to *milidly* inconvenience the public has been met with anger and upset. No wonder the country is fucked when the whole country is up in arms at every inconvenience the group causes. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 12:59pm)
  • You have folk in this thread complaining that they disrupted a snooker game, and you are complaining that this rave in a warehouse isn't doing enough to protest. Honestly, just stop oil, and any activist group fighting for change has no chance when the bottom 99% fight amongst themselves by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 1:02pm)
  • Yes effective, mass organising would be great but when folk lose the rag over delaying a snooker game. How would they respond by entire citys being disrupted. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 1:44pm)
  • Why do you think this is going to be some mad drug fest lol. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 1:42pm)
  • Their message is that we can't continue the way we are or the planet is going to kill us all. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 1:42pm)
  • You are literally proving my point lol. They keep us angry at some guy delaying a snooker game rstyer than bp and shell who spunk oil in to the ocean every other week. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 1:57pm)
  • What was your point? by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 2:10pm)
  • I got a taxi from the airport to Partick and its cost £24. A similar taxi length in Belfast when I was there at the weekend was £13. The taxi prices here are absolutely fucking mental. You'd think they would be pretty cheap to encourage folk to use them and not discourage tourists as soon as they enter the country. by cammyk123 (Fri 5th May 2023 2:26pm)
  • I mean I see both sides of the coin. I've cleaned my back area out a few times and it just goes back to the same state it was before after a couple weeks. by cammyk123 (Sat 6th May 2023 2:06am)
  • What is a triple A? by cammyk123 (Sun 7th May 2023 3:31am)
  • Is this according to their app? The number of times I've tried to take bikes from the stands and it says they're in use or some other bullshit is crazy. A couple of weeks ago, I tried taking one, and it wouldn't unlock, so I put it back, and it charged me £2 and said I couldn't take it out again for another 5 minutes. by cammyk123 (Wed 10th May 2023 10:46am)
  • No mate, just leave it until your finger falls off... How do folk like this survive everyday life. Coming to Reddit for every single rhing in life... by cammyk123 (Wed 10th May 2023 12:16pm)
  • This is how most bigger festivals work though? My mate had to pay a deposit for Kelburn to volunteer there. by cammyk123 (Thu 11th May 2023 5:17am)
  • They were good a few years ago but they massively reduced the numbers of them for whatever reason and they're fucking pointless now. It's super hard to get an electric one now when it used to be fairly easy. by cammyk123 (Thu 11th May 2023 2:23pm)
  • I think their guinness is a bit pish there. Tolboth does better Guinness for the same price. by cammyk123 (Fri 12th May 2023 9:22am)
  • Went out for some drinks with work mates a wee while ago and one of them paid £8 for a can of IPA. by cammyk123 (Fri 12th May 2023 9:21am)
  • Neck Oil is nice but fuck me is it so expensive. by cammyk123 (Fri 12th May 2023 9:21am)
  • Still not recieved my refund from them ragin when ut happened. by cammyk123 (Sat 13th May 2023 12:43pm)
  • I tried it at the time at HSBC and said it could take up to 3 months to process. Chased it up probably 3-4 times and was just met with the same answer, "It's processing." They eventually told me I had filled in something wrong on this 5 page form and had to submit it again... I just gave up, honestly. The annoying thing is that they said if you email them with your bank account and reference number, they would refund you, and after about 15 emails to the junction 1 organisers, I gave up. by cammyk123 (Sat 13th May 2023 2:38pm)
  • Where you playing for them? by cammyk123 (Sat 13th May 2023 6:47pm)
  • That's shite mate, sorry to hear that. by cammyk123 (Sat 13th May 2023 6:56pm)
  • Yea I saw a massive number of them (maybe 50) at the Carbeth Inn years ago. by cammyk123 (Sun 14th May 2023 7:42pm)
  • They're the real deal. Im sure these guys are the reason hells angels don't have a chapter in Scotland by cammyk123 (Sun 14th May 2023 7:42pm)
  • Nice n sleazy next door also has great artists for <£10 by cammyk123 (Mon 15th May 2023 10:51am)
  • The prices for delivery apps are through the roof now a days. A couple of years ago, I'd maybe get one a couple of times a week, now a days? Once a month *maybe* by cammyk123 (Mon 15th May 2023 10:50am)
  • The bin issue is such a huge issue everywhere you go in Glasgow. by cammyk123 (Wed 17th May 2023 8:56pm)
  • You can hear them talking? Jeez, how thin are your walls by cammyk123 (Sat 20th May 2023 5:52pm)
  • I used to live on grace street and look across at that wondering what it was all the time. by cammyk123 (Sat 20th May 2023 9:56pm)
  • Im a bit astounded by how many folk seem to be able to hear their neighbours with some clarity. I've only really experienced this once, and it was when my old neighbour used to scream at the top of his lungs in the middle of the night while playing video games. by cammyk123 (Sat 20th May 2023 11:38pm)
  • Ignore all the folk calling it pish, its busy as fuck late at night for a reason. Its open late and the food isnae bad. by cammyk123 (Wed 24th May 2023 6:46pm)
  • I went to kelburn last year and it was a blast, going this year as well. by cammyk123 (Wed 24th May 2023 6:51pm)
  • I needed my sofa gone when they bumped the uplift prices to £40 an item, so I just dumped my sofa outside my flat and reported it as fly tipping. It was gone the next day. by cammyk123 (Wed 24th May 2023 6:50pm)
  • It is a huge leap in logic mate, you're off your rocker. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 3:29pm)
  • Ive seen the "no to 20 minute citys" about the place. Id like to actually sit down with someone and have them explain to me what they think a 20 minute city is. Having your shopping and all your essential needs within a 20 minute walk?!?! The absolute horror. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 3:27pm)
  • Honestly if you read something online about getting fined for ~~walking~~ drivinf more than 20 minutes from your house and believe it, you have brain rot. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 3:30pm)
  • Explain to me what a 20 minute neighbourhood is. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 3:38pm)
  • Lmao, I have no interest in conversing with brain-dead conspiracy theorists. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 4:05pm)
  • Yup that is why I insulted him, because I have no interest in having a frank conversation. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 4:24pm)
  • That is not what is being proposed / ever going to happen. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 4:35pm)
  • What roadblocks are you talking about. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 5:50pm)
  • The Oxford "roadblocks" are not actual roadblocks. They are proposing bus gates which are sections of roads which buses can use. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 6:05pm)
  • Show me the video. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 6:12pm)
  • Since you refuse to give a video source I googled it and the only videos I could see where of people vandalising these bus gates and GB News report on it which I will pay no attention to as media biasis fact check deemed it as "MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY" and "Factual Reporting: MIXED" by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 7:03pm)
  • Lmao what? What does that even mean? by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 7:10pm)
  • Human rights? It's a road that buses can use... Do you know what human rights are? by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 7:20pm)
  • Is it aye? by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 9:30pm)
  • What post history? lol by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 9:30pm)
  • Well I can put your worried little mind at ease and say that your worries are not based on is being proposed. by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 10:26pm)
  • Areas will not be "locked down" by cammyk123 (Sat 27th May 2023 10:30pm)
  • Let's see some proof then? by cammyk123 (Sun 28th May 2023 4:44pm)
  • I'd rather spend £3.40 on a tesco meal deal than prepare lunch myself, honestly. It's not that much of a hit. I will occasionally get a burrito or something from a lunch menu (spending maybe £8-10) by cammyk123 (Thu 1st Jun 2023 3:08pm)
  • Will try it out, I love mexican food but hate the cheap mexican stuff like taco bell. by cammyk123 (Thu 1st Jun 2023 4:34pm)
  • It's annoying and extremely rude but honestly mate, who gives a fuck? Just but your own earphones in and ignore then and continue on with your life. by cammyk123 (Mon 5th Jun 2023 2:23pm)
  • Why would you ever give a clown like this money? Just walk away from him. by cammyk123 (Mon 5th Jun 2023 8:04pm)
  • Why would you ever give a clown like this money? Just walk away from him. by cammyk123 (Mon 5th Jun 2023 8:04pm)
  • Why would you ever give a clown like this money? Just walk away from him. by cammyk123 (Mon 5th Jun 2023 8:03pm)
  • £5.6m is such a small amount for one of the main streets of the entire city. I fear it will just get gobbled up by greddy developers / council members. by cammyk123 (Wed 7th Jun 2023 7:25am)
  • £550, 1 bed in Calton. by cammyk123 (Sat 10th Jun 2023 10:36am)
  • Can confirm, was putting factor 50 spf every couple hours when i was out all weekend and still got burnt! It's not that bad but still crazy that I got burnt at all lol. by cammyk123 (Tue 13th Jun 2023 5:07pm)
  • The folk drinking that will run away from the polis. by cammyk123 (Wed 14th Jun 2023 2:21am)
  • Why are you so desperate to be friends with your neighbours? Your description of them makes them seem like normal folk living a normal life? As for the furniture in the garden, I wouldn't personally add furniture to a communal area, but if I did, I'd expect other folk to just naturally use it as it is a shared area... and pay for it if it was ever broken by them. Probably easier spending £50 on some bits and bobs for the garden than going around every house in my close, asking for a fiver to decorate the garden. by cammyk123 (Sun 18th Jun 2023 11:30am)
  • They don't acccept card. by cammyk123 (Mon 19th Jun 2023 8:27am)
  • Yea, pretty sure i've seen that exact unmarked car before with coppers in it around east end. by cammyk123 (Thu 22nd Jun 2023 10:45pm)
  • It's mental man, its a bit of live fucking music that ends at like 10/11pm. by cammyk123 (Mon 26th Jun 2023 10:12am)
  • You sound like a right laugh on a night out mate. by cammyk123 (Mon 26th Jun 2023 3:42pm)
  • I do live in Glasgow. by cammyk123 (Mon 26th Jun 2023 3:52pm)
  • I live right next to the green, so know exactly what it's like to have lots of folk walking by your house and have live music near your flat. by cammyk123 (Mon 26th Jun 2023 4:09pm)
  • 2nd one is Govan on Howat Street, I think. by cammyk123 (Wed 28th Jun 2023 5:15pm)
  • I remember going in there quite late one night because the toilet in Box was too busy and it was just completely empty! Not a single person but the guy at the till working there. by cammyk123 (Sat 8th Jul 2023 9:16pm)
  • Would just like to say a thank you to the mods, who I assume are deleting all the, "I can hear TRNSMT in x location, ridiculous!!!!" by cammyk123 (Sat 8th Jul 2023 11:29pm)
  • I walked to Govan subway a few Sundays ago and missed the last subway. Thought I'd just walk my bus route into town and eventually catch the bus. I walked from Govan to King George bridge in town before a bus passed me by (and that was with a pit stop near squinty bridge to get some juice) public transport in this city is unreal... by cammyk123 (Mon 10th Jul 2023 11:54pm)
  • Wherever someone is playing there. by cammyk123 (Wed 12th Jul 2023 9:57am)
  • The comment about the government having ample time (6 months) to consult them over these changes is interesting. Government response should have been much harsher to keep the night services going. I know First Bus are a garbage company but the government having all that time knowing about it and doing fuck all is classic Holyrood. by cammyk123 (Thu 13th Jul 2023 10:19am)
  • Tried to go from Partick to Calton at the weekend at about half 12. £30. Absolutely insane prices by cammyk123 (Mon 17th Jul 2023 8:45am)
  • Spent a fair old time in there when I lived close by and met him a few times, seemed a really nice guy. Sad to see him go. by cammyk123 (Wed 19th Jul 2023 5:41pm)
  • Triple01s come to mind. by cammyk123 (Fri 21st Jul 2023 2:12pm)
  • Totally agree. I've seen them weave in and out of traffic and pedestrians with absolutely zero regard to anyone. I seen the polis pull one up. I'm not sure what for but good that they're doing *something* about them. by cammyk123 (Sat 22nd Jul 2023 9:40am)
  • Wow, half 8? How generous of them. Honestly, if the subway doesn't run 24/7 when the electric cars take hold, the council have failed us massively. by cammyk123 (Sat 22nd Jul 2023 2:59pm)
  • CAD Draughtsman. £40k/yr. by cammyk123 (Wed 26th Jul 2023 9:29am)
  • Id say for a really good night out with shots, club entry and staying out till 4am. I could easily spend £100 or even £120. But if im a bit more reserved and buying my own drinks or keeping to a proper round I can spend £50-£60 and still have a really good night and go home at 12 ish. Most I ever spent on a night out was £200 on a subcrawl a few years ago. That was when I was younger and buying everyone drinks. I've calmd down a lot since then. by cammyk123 (Wed 26th Jul 2023 9:42am)
  • 6 years ago I got offered a eccy for £10 and was at a gig a few months ago and my mate bought one for £10. Same thing with gear, its been the same price for at least 6 or 7 years. Pretty crazy that drugs just don't inflate. by cammyk123 (Wed 26th Jul 2023 9:44am)
  • Done an apprenticeship for 4 years and went to college for a HNC. by cammyk123 (Wed 26th Jul 2023 2:58pm)
  • Yea, the salaries range really massively depending on if you are contract or permanent staff and what industry you are. I have a mate on 100k+ working contract in oil and gas and I have friends on 28k working civil. I worked at Babcock for about a year as well. by cammyk123 (Wed 26th Jul 2023 10:27pm)
  • I found this out recently. I had a mate years ago who lived over there and said it was a rough area and recently had a mate that bought a really expensive house down there and said it was completely gentrified. by cammyk123 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 11:24am)
  • Yea, I was born in the late 90s so I dont remember Glasgow in the 90s at all, but my parents have told me some proper horror stories and ive watched shows on the TV about Glasgow back in the day. Folk that say it hasn't improved since the 80s and 90s are off their fucking rocker man. by cammyk123 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 11:22am)
  • Yea pretty amazed when folk say there's "nothing to do" There is a mental amount of things to do in Glasgow, try and go to a wee village in Scotland where there actually is nothing to do lol. by cammyk123 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 11:28am)
  • I hope we can do the same with the drug problem. That is still a massive issue here. by cammyk123 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 11:38am)
  • The binmen round my bit used to just straight up refuse to collect the bins round about me. They would constantly forget to pick them up and leave a trail of garbage from the bins to their truck when they did collect them. I once came out with a tiny clothing drawer storage and asked if I could chuck it in the back of the truck and they said naw... I was like mate? Its a tiny drawer storage chest. Walk of shame back to the flat with them. I've never complained so much about the binmen in my life than when I moved into this flat a couple year ago. It's been a lot better in the past 6 months, maybe my complaining every week has worked. I just know folk will argue with me saying its their bosses fault and not the guy collecting the bins but fuck me man was it infuriating going 2/3 weeks at a time not having your bins collected and rubbish just overflowing. by cammyk123 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 11:37am)
  • Yea all the bars shutting at 12 and clubs at 3am is annoying especially when travelling to other cities in europe. The public transport is an absolute joke, I think that's for all of Scotland though, last train home is half 11 ish then youre 5 million quid home in a taxi and that's your only option. by cammyk123 (Sat 29th Jul 2023 11:43am)
  • I had a mate that wouldn't drink in any irish pubs, even not on match days. I don't really follow Scottish football and the football I do watch (mostly English) I just want to watch a good game. by cammyk123 (Tue 1st Aug 2023 2:28am)
  • If you've not heard of Glasgow Live, I don't believe you live in Glasgow. by cammyk123 (Tue 1st Aug 2023 3:28am)
  • If I walk with a bit of a hustle on and walk diagonal across the road near me when both lanes are stopped, I get about 4 or 5 steps before the kerb before it turns red again for me. by cammyk123 (Mon 7th Aug 2023 8:06pm)
  • Honestly, what cunts do to these bikes is outrageous. It's a cheap and easy way to get about the city and folk take the piss. There used to be loads of the electric ones, but they have massively cut them down over the past year ish. Probably because folk do things like this. by cammyk123 (Wed 9th Aug 2023 10:30am)
  • What was your response to the guy who said, "so what" to his alarm going off for multiple days? by cammyk123 (Thu 10th Aug 2023 6:22pm)
  • I seen a deliveroo cyclist getting one a couple weeks ago. by cammyk123 (Wed 16th Aug 2023 10:29pm)
  • I couldn't get over it when my mate was telling me about how many tools him and his fellow tradesman get nicked off them. Heart goes out to guys like you man. by cammyk123 (Wed 23rd Aug 2023 5:50pm)
  • Yea pretty bad craic to make fun of someone being bullied by some kids but practicing karakte in the park on your own is so fucking odd. I do feel a lot if this sub brushes off violence as nothing. Most of the comments in relation to someone having some issue with their neighbour or someone they know is to resort to extreme violence first. This bit may be a bit off topic but whenever someone mentions some issue on here with "junkies" or "homeless" they're always met with how much compassion you should have for these folk, its a bit hard to have compassion for folk like that when they are heavily drunk threatening to batter you or square up to you. Honestly, I think most of the subs commentators are folk who dont interact with people in the real world much and are probably not even from the city. by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Aug 2023 11:50am)
  • This comment is exactly what my comment was about lol, you're always told to meet scum of the earth with absolute compassion. by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Aug 2023 12:08pm)
  • Im not denying its a common thing elsewhere but its not common in Glasgow so telling the guy to maybe not do that as its seen as odd here so he doesnt get beat up in the future again. by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Aug 2023 12:10pm)
  • Homeless or junkies that meet you with violence, yes. by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Aug 2023 12:24pm)
  • Lmao, what are you on about mate 😅 by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Aug 2023 12:28pm)
  • That is exactly what my original comment said... by cammyk123 (Sat 26th Aug 2023 12:26pm)
  • Everyone's taking the piss here but that is such a massive invasion of privacy that you shouldn't have to experience in your own home. I had something similar happen to me while sitting watching a movie in my living room, went to go up to my window to see what the fuck the lights in the sky where and it flew away. by cammyk123 (Sat 2nd Sep 2023 4:35pm)
  • That bistro is actually not bad for a lunch. by cammyk123 (Mon 4th Sep 2023 12:11pm)
  • Onlyever been in once after a night out steaming and it was fine from what I can remember. Super busy with absolute bams though. by cammyk123 (Mon 4th Sep 2023 12:17pm)

  • Anyone know of someone showing them womans football tonight? by cammyk123 (Fri 22nd Sep 2023 12:03pm)
  • As someone who wears glasses, i've never had this lmao. What are you doing to invite everyone to try and steal your glasses / insult your glasses? by cammyk123 (Tue 26th Sep 2023 8:36am)
  • 2 comments in and we reached the, "somebody think of the poor souls" the original comment was talking about lol This is completely inexcusable and the folk who done it are absolute scumbags. by cammyk123 (Tue 3rd Oct 2023 3:31pm)
  • They've left needles and rubbish all over the flat, they sre scum. by cammyk123 (Tue 3rd Oct 2023 4:19pm)
  • Lol by cammyk123 (Thu 5th Oct 2023 12:57pm)
  • Probably never set foot in the place, our junkies have dreams! by cammyk123 (Sat 14th Oct 2023 1:03pm)

  • Been in to a couple shops like this before and ive no clue how you're supposed to buy or look through anything lol. Am I really allowed to lift up about 6 layers of shite to find something underneath that I want a better view of. by cammyk123 (Wed 25th Oct 2023 9:19pm)
  • One cycled in to the morrisons near me and just about crashed in to a guy next to me. The guy that almost got smashed by the bike was shouting at the biker but he literally just ignored the guy and walked in the shop lol. Shop security did nothing... by cammyk123 (Sun 29th Oct 2023 3:44am)
  • I do enjoy it when they try and phone you while riding down the road at 15mph. How do you want me to hear you over the loud wind whistling past you, mate. by cammyk123 (Sun 29th Oct 2023 3:41am)
  • Where have you got this info from? 😅 by cammyk123 (Mon 30th Oct 2023 8:13pm)

  • Still can at the ones in the four corners McDonalds. by cammyk123 (Wed 6th Dec 2023 8:54pm)
