  • This was one of the main reasons why I decided to purge my Facebook of everyone bar a few who I don't know personally but play the same games for chips. I would have preferred to delete it but would lose MyVegas progress. However I now only have to see genuine posts from groups and on subjects that I am interested in and it has been a great sense of relief. My experience of it has been far more positive since. I liked it to see how people you grew up with or met through your life were getting on but sadly that has over the last few years been overwehlmingly drowned out by the absolute poison that social media has become. I have the phone numbers of people I am close to anyway so Facebook has simply tipped the balance between its early positives and present negatives which now comfortably outweigh its benefits. by StuBobUK (Mon 29th Jun 2020 12:07am)
  • Absolutely this! I sometimes forget myself but was recently surprised as I waited outside M&S on Sauchiehall St and was quite taken aback that I had never noticed how fantastic the building is that sits above the M&S fascia. by StuBobUK (Sun 26th Jul 2020 8:39pm)
  • Indoor Airsoft - few pallets, oil drums and you're good to go. by StuBobUK (Tue 4th Aug 2020 8:07pm)
  • Because you didn't need to use the service is not the same as them not providing it. They provide a service, you bought it, didn't use it effectively the details are secondary unfortunately. by StuBobUK (Fri 7th Aug 2020 1:21pm)
  • What regulations are you specifically referencing and in what way did they not comply with them? by StuBobUK (Fri 7th Aug 2020 1:53pm)
  • Again, you not using the service is not the same as them not providing it and you haven't provided the regulations that you claim the bus company did not comply with? I'll take a guess and it's to no shame of anyone tbh but throughout this whole situation it has been apparent the general public have a fundamental misunderstanding of the differences between what are laws and regulations and what is guidance. The former can be policed, the latter not so much. It's pretty much why I've always advocated that law as a subject should be taught at school but then where's the benefit to actually educating the people for those that make the decisions. Don't get me wrong, I'd likely feel aggrieved in your position having forked out for it but the Covid situation is one of those things that we're all going to suffer from one way or another. Hoever if you have a sound argument for seeking a refund in the circumstances you're yet to present it unfortunately. by StuBobUK (Fri 7th Aug 2020 5:34pm)
  • Again, this is clearly not the case. The bus services bar a few exceptions have been running which means they have fundamentally met their obligations. Because you, by imposition or not, could not/did not use them is besides the simple overarching point where you bought the service, which they provided and you did not utilise. We can get into the details of why you say you couldn't/didn't use the service but it would remain largely irrelevant to where you've aimed your grievance and the fundamental basis you rely. But you being 'legally' (debateable) unable to use the service is of little fault of theirs as it is yours. by StuBobUK (Fri 7th Aug 2020 6:31pm)
  • Round of golf at Aberfoyle this morning, it's gonna be a busy day out and about anywhere near the town. Weather's perfect right enough. by StuBobUK (Sat 8th Aug 2020 1:46pm)
  • Education, education, education. The reason 'liberal lefties' is a retort aimed at those with often different opinions, who often engage with further education is nothing to do with brain washing or indictrination at uni etc. it's simply the fact at uni you don't get away with unverifiable, evidenced assumptions. You're simply forced to evidence the reason for your views and conclusions which becomes a lifelong practice. Sadly had to stop using Facebook due to similar posts when BLM stuff kicked off, can't say I've missed it tbh. by StuBobUK (Thu 13th Aug 2020 10:48am)

  • If it is Sandbank and your flat is the one currently up in the Crescent, I wouldn't be too worried but if it is directly beside it then weekends tend to be busy all year round if not with football/walks then more as a social club it is pretty active. Think of it like a local pub and associated noise etc. only really worse than this on Old Firm/Marching season tbh. by StuBobUK (Thu 13th Aug 2020 4:55pm)
  • Anyone know what the script is with GCC Bulk Uplift services? Website refers me to the app which I donwloaded and setup but when I click to arrange bulk collection it just sends me straight back to GCC Bulk webpage that sent me to the app. It does say in corner that a field is down fo maintenance but no sure if that's true or been like that for ages. by StuBobUK (Fri 15th Jan 2021 10:43am)

  • I wonder if that is in anticipation of other vaccines (Valneva etc.) being approved or if those will give another boost on top of stated dates. by StuBobUK (Sun 21st Feb 2021 10:02am)
  • Yeah, and with news from Israel today at seeing circa 96% effectiveness in mitigating serious illness/hospitalisations and death they have already begun to open up most sections of society. It's great to finally be seeing some light at last, hopefully this is a permanent fix and not another false dawn. by StuBobUK (Sun 21st Feb 2021 10:15am)
  • Significant drop in Covid numbers today and likely to follow over next few means the 7/14 day rate should drop by a decent margin too. Think most of Scotland is almost under the threshold for lower level restrictions. Will be raging of they put us in back to same level we were at when case prevalence was much higher. by StuBobUK (Fri 26th Feb 2021 1:48pm)
  • Genuinely sick of takeaways at this point. There never appears anything I actually want nowadays thanks to Covid all takeawayed out. End up sitting there for an hour scrolling the same way I do for Netflix/Amazon etc. before just getting something from usual takeaway. by StuBobUK (Fri 26th Feb 2021 1:46pm)
  • I thought the dates were provisional but subject to data, and any changes to measures would be restricted to 3 week intervals, including ability to bring forward review of restrictions. I thinknus and the rUK are pretty much where we were in October/November last year and things weren't nearly as restricted; and we now have vaccination program taking off and results being seen from that now. by StuBobUK (Fri 26th Feb 2021 10:20pm)
  • So last two weeks sees ICU (<28 days) cases down around 33% (110 - 74) and hospitalisations down around 40% (1499 - 898) which means hopsital care levels are at lowest levels in 4 months, since 21st October. Cases today down again with prevalenc rate continuing significant drop below WHO pandemic defined levels at 3.1% of tests carried out; we haven't seen a 7 day positivity rate as current 4.2% since beginnning of October, and it has been progressively dropping since beginning of the latest lockdown. So things are definitely beginning to look better going forward. And with talks of potentially all adults being offered their first dose by May things could get better quicker than we are currently expecting, fingers crossed. by StuBobUK (Sat 27th Feb 2021 3:39pm)
  • At the end of the day case numbers won't actually matter so much going forward as the vaccine looks to reduce/eliminate hospitalisations and deaths. As soon as that has a tangible effect on the situation there will be little public/political will to keep the lockdown measures/framework currently in place. by StuBobUK (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 3:10pm)
  • Jaipur used to be fantastic a few years ago, curries were better than anywhere else too but became terrible when new people started running it. Not sure who has it now or if/how it has improved but they used to be great no matter what you ordered by StuBobUK (Wed 7th Apr 2021 5:43pm)
  • Used to go to Papa Gills for regular sit down meals, they were always very good and owner guys who worked there were great too. I wish I knew where the previous Jaipur guys moved onto, if they were still about as it didn't matter what you ordered the food was fresh, tasty and excellent quality. by StuBobUK (Fri 9th Apr 2021 8:07pm)
  • Jaconellis at Avenue, Maryhill Road been a staple for years. by StuBobUK (Thu 29th Apr 2021 11:24pm)
  • Can understand it but still extremely frustrating plus the decision to keep ER in level 2 is annoying but again understandable and actually glad they have now conceded they are not simply looking at the case numbers and rates in isolation but at the wider issues at play. Would have been a mistake to put ER back only a week after being placed in level 2, would be bad message not just on Covid front but across country from social and economic perspective. Hopefully the continuation of Vaccine program and targeted approach to outbreaks will be way forward especially with it being effective against known variants so far. Then by end of next month most if not all will have had their doses so little need to concern us with cases on their own. by StuBobUK (Fri 21st May 2021 12:44pm)
  • Nothing to do with covid or cases but why the fuco is Edinburgh listed as 'City of Edinburgh' in those lists? by StuBobUK (Sun 30th May 2021 7:49am)
  • Yeah, that'll be it! I still maintain that using council area as the reference point for covid fugures is flawed. Unsure why they didn't use health board areas as the stresses and issues weren't really locality based contratraints but to do with the wider health service capacity and use. It is also why Glasgow, as the largest city and densely populated area of the country, has suffered far more due to this metric. where the local boundary of Glasgow city is rather restrictive in comparison to the broader and more accurately provisioning of health board areas. ...ho, hum, hopefully next week sees us experience some more light from this dark tunnel. by StuBobUK (Sun 30th May 2021 4:20pm)
  • I was of the same opinion. Yesterday it also dawned on me that keeping us in level 3 was likely down to not just the data but the fact we had a bank holiday weekend and the weather being decent. The government obviously knew with that, many people would leave the city so better for that to happen out in the sunshine than allow lots of people to congregate in doors in Glasgow during a Bank Holiday weekend by moving us to level 2. That could have been a little bit of a disaster in itself so appeared best just to ride out this bank holiday whilst accepting that the level 3 thing is simply to prolong indoor mixing at home/restaurants etc. given it was the indoor element that sparked the recent surge in cases. by StuBobUK (Mon 31st May 2021 9:08am)
  • I would really recommend Aberfoyle GC. I've been a member for over a decade there and make journey from West End. Takes about 40mins but the advantage over closer courses is price and actual on course traffic. I can drive there, have a round and be back home in less time having a round at one of the closer courses. At times it is like your own private course, plays well any weather and is always well maintained. Members are great and comps usually on Saturday and Sunday all for only £360 a year. by StuBobUK (Thu 10th Jun 2021 6:09pm)
  • I actually think the slightly longer grey squiggle is perfect as Glasgow cam often feel that colour for a good majority of the year, partly due to the streets and buildings but mostly as a result of the weather, those gloomy grey clouds are never away for long. by StuBobUK (Sat 12th Jun 2021 3:36pm)
  • In other words, 'don't be daft!'. A silly notion or thought to be almost absurd and this saying delivers it in a typically mocking way. by StuBobUK (Fri 18th Jun 2021 11:50pm)
  • Not all addicts are junkies but all junkies are addicts situation. Junkies are by and large junkies and its negative connotations are usually reserved for a particular subset of addicts regardless of any offence that may be taken or how it might hurt someone facing their problems. Can people be kinder, yes, but ultimately too many seem to want to take it on themselves to control the language of words and definitions of those words through their own biased prism. To call a spade a spade may not always be kind but it's not wrong. As much as we might empathise with them, and they are ultimately vulnerable, the reference to a junkies is a well earned one in the environments they operate as many others have fallen victim as those addicts supported their own vulnerabilities with little care and often to the detriment of others. The world doesn't function viewing everyone as victims, in any context everyone is a victim that need help and support but to minimise or pacify the language does not negate the situation or its effects by and of itself. More than anything, especially Glasgow, the words we use are always secondary to the way in which they are conveyed. It's not what you say but how you say it as can be evidenced by the plethora existing and unlimited development of words and phrases used here to convey a more context based 'meaning' totally unrelated to their dictionary definitions. by StuBobUK (Mon 28th Jun 2021 1:55pm)
  • So you enter discussion asking people not to refer to drug addicts as 'junkies' as you consider it derogatroy and proceed to then call someone a 'Shite excuse for a human being' on the basis of nothing more than disagreeing with your comments. Wow! Keep fighting that good fight, eh? by StuBobUK (Mon 28th Jun 2021 3:38pm)
  • Where is the bullying here? You're clearly just making things up now. You quite clearly called the other poster a "Shite excuse for a human being" after telling him to "Go fuck himself" on the basis of you assuming he has "No empathy, no understanding. No experience of dealing with people with long term drug addictions, clearly. You don’t even bother making a counter argument. you’re a shite excuse for a human being", as you claim to have. All because he replied "Gie's peace" to your initial comment on the derogatroy context of a 'junkie'. Moving the goalposts to something about bullying is irrelevant to the later point you made above of which you are showing you may be even more guilty of yourself going by your posts in this thread. Dropping a lot of assumptions and a quite a few insults and derogatory comments aimed at other posters and people at large. The very thing you entered the thread to decry. by StuBobUK (Mon 28th Jun 2021 4:15pm)

  • NS pretty much said yesterday this is becuase they are still required/opting to follow the science and take of the JCVI. Which is effectively why the 2nd dose vaccination program is being curtailed by the supply and performance of 8 weeks prior. Suggesting that they could go faster if the 'science' (i.e. JCVI 8 week gap) on this were to change. Effectively we are being stympied not by current supply or demand but on recommendtions made months ago on basis of not necessarily best perfomrance of vaccine programming but on the supply available and how it was best utilised months ago. Par for the course with the Covid response really, slow and generally very inflexible to the situation and circumstances at the time. by StuBobUK (Wed 14th Jul 2021 12:33pm)

  • Anywhere between the city centre and Byres Road in West End would be the best bet. Plenty places to visit and things to see including what you are looking for from a short stay. Bonus being all within easy walking distance of good pubs, restaurants and sights. by StuBobUK (Thu 29th Jul 2021 12:23pm)
  • You parked in a know private car park, opted not to pay, knowing you had to per terms of use and are surprised that the company has sought to collect? Tbf whilst it was common in years gone by to ignore these types of things, the whole its an invoice not a fine situation, be aware that the landscape on this had changed somewhat with a number of cases being brought and found in favour of these firms as effectively you are in breach of contract. You might well get lucky with the value and process thresholds of the company involved but by no means nowadays is it wide to just ignore this stuff without running the risk that a letter from the court will follow. Many of these companies have been emboldened by high profile decisions over the last number of years, including cases of residents being liable for significant sums of money for similar incidents. Advise would be to take information here with a significant pinch of salt and go somewhere where the knowledge and resources will be more reliable like the Consumer Action Group forum. by StuBobUK (Thu 5th Aug 2021 12:37pm)
  • From a legal viewpoint the only thing the have evidence of is that a box with your name and I assume address was found in this alleyway which prompted a fly tipping fine. That of itself is not evidence of actual fly tipping and certainly not evidence of you fly tipping, it is circumstantial at best. What you do with that information is up to you as it appears only you know if you engaged in fly tipping as the evidence may suggest an involvement but does not by itself, prove it. by StuBobUK (Thu 12th Aug 2021 6:58pm)

  • First season is gash, second one ended up alright from what I remember but I may have just based 2nd season quality directly against the 1st from memory as never rewatched any of it after it first aired. Now a great one that suffered at the expense of Dear Green Place and pishes all over it is Legit, which was written by Ian Connell and Rab Florence, that was a good series sadly limited to one season as BBC opted to give the former a second season. by StuBobUK (Mon 4th Oct 2021 9:59am)
  • Upload to the Irish covid app and you'll get an EU Compatible Digital Covid Certificate. All you do is scan your NHS vaccine QR and it'll present via the app as EU Digital one. Will give you QR code thar should get around most issues. As there have been plenty with the many different rules here and abroad and even airlines can be slow to understand and implement changes nevermind smaller businesses on the continent. Saves potentially any hassle with travel to and on the continent for little effort. by StuBobUK (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 12:24am)
  • Yeah, not had any issues with it. I've screenshot for convenience but I have kept the app on my phone too just in case. by StuBobUK (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 8:07am)
  • Enjoy your travels. I did get this tip from someone who works in the industry as there had been quite a few issues with passengers and some airlines and their systems/policies basically on occasion seeing people not able to fly. So seems to be a workaround they've used by those in the know. As as you say it gives confidence being an EU Digital passport QR, that even references that as the header and details full vax status below too so should avoid these sort of problems. by StuBobUK (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 1:02pm)
  • No issues tbh, always found trick with this sort of thing is get hold of a single person to contact and go through them, even if it means hounding them a bit. Eventually you get the treatment you should from the off even if it is due to them considering you a pain. Basically make you their problem. Insist on a direct contact rather than always having to jump through hoops, you should have a dedicated person overseeing your area/property. by StuBobUK (Mon 1st Nov 2021 6:34pm)

  • Great guess and very close, but it was a Saab. by StuBobUK (Thu 25th Nov 2021 12:29pm)
  • Can't see that inhis case tbh, not exactly new or desirable cars plus the development is 3 storey flats on each side with me being one of the furthest away. And there are far better cars than mine out there. by StuBobUK (Thu 25th Nov 2021 12:32pm)
  • Yeah, Saabs are exact same. I only ever leave mine as full beam as all lights switch off when you turn car off, opposite of sidelight setting, have left that setting for the numerous Saabs I've had for last 10 years. Additionally the switch type and location means it'd be near impossible to change it by accident. I'm not inclined to belive there were any sinister motives in this case, just curious why someone would do something as simple or limited as changing a light setting on an unlocked car. by StuBobUK (Thu 25th Nov 2021 12:38pm)

  • Just back from Estonia and can say trams are great and would work a treat in Glasgow particularly on the artery roads where they once operated. Maryhill Road they would be great and could go a way to reduce traffic if their reliability and regularity could be mirrored with Tallinn services. by StuBobUK (Wed 15th Dec 2021 2:01pm)
  • How great would that be especially considering the issues with the city centre and the move away from cars? It could help also with the current issues the city cemtre is suffering from given access and parking is probably the biggest contributor to its downfall as it is easier for most to jump to free parking shopping parks everywhere else. Regular and reliable transport like trams could go some way to reviving the city centre even if it no longer has to be in form of shopping centric. by StuBobUK (Wed 15th Dec 2021 2:13pm)

  • Isn't there standard practice they have to follow for road signs and cameras as such? It's been years since I looked into, but may have to as rhey have one on Bearsden Road now right at the corner/hill before Temple Road where it goes from 40-30 and I was likely above 30 when passing but not sure if operational yet. Might have to dig out those regulations again, but passed by yesterday to check and no actual signage for this one yet. It is gonna catch an awful lot of people that one. by StuBobUK (Tue 8th Mar 2022 9:25am)

  • Very doable, the West-side as opposed to the West End is the important distinction. And as you say, you don't live extravagantly that's a huge bonus tbh. Sure private rents have been getting more expensive as have bills but without knowing more on the level it is a very workable situation. Not sure what line of work or studies etc. but there are a lot of jobs out there that pay more and you don't have to have a load of experience to do them. by StuBobUK (Tue 15th Mar 2022 4:21pm)
  • There are a lot of entry level admin jobs that are paying a few thousand more than they were only a few years ago and there are a lot of public sector/EO civil service opportunities at the moment where you could be approaching £30k for what is entry level admin work. Don't be dissuaded by some of the fancy or complicated names they often go by, fire your cv away and you'll pick one up fairly quickly. https://uk.indeed.com/m/jobs?q=Civil+Service&l=Glasgow&mna=5&aceid=&gclid=CjwKCAjw8sCRBhA6EiwA6_IF4fT6CzPFdIKdhhSiYA89tT54jr_hd1yL5lqxuvSsvMfip8gts6ryaBoCJvoQAvD_BwE by StuBobUK (Tue 15th Mar 2022 7:54pm)
  • No worries, there is a huge world of difference between living on £18.5k and £23k in Glasgow. Unless you loved your current job you'd probably be best picking one of those one few thousand more. by StuBobUK (Tue 15th Mar 2022 7:58pm)

  • You include cost and time for getting to airport but neglect to include that in your train calculations. Apples and oranges, flying is cheaper and quicker and as a result by a margin, more convenient everytime for this journey. by StuBobUK (Tue 10th May 2022 9:53am)
  • Aye he should have just walked or cycled if that is ever anyone primary concern. I'm sure that's the only way you get about, I mean you wouldn't want to be environmentally-unfriendly by indulging in cheaper or convenient transport. by StuBobUK (Tue 10th May 2022 9:51am)

  • It's a good idea and I think there may already be a similar society or two out there. As you say however the difficulty can be getting times at clubs and even the municipal clubs in Glasgow are greatly reduced in just the last few years. I am currently a member at Aberfoyle where our subs are less than half the going rate for clubs round about Glasgow (£375). I manage out 2-3 times per week and quite a few of the members are similarly based in Glasgow. Most often people think Aberfoyle is too far away but it's not really, only 20mins past Dougalston, Hiltpn Park etc and the bonus being it is never anywhere near as busy so I can drive there, have a round and be back home in less time it would take just to have a round at those closer courses. It's a great little course. by StuBobUK (Wed 15th Jun 2022 8:16pm)

  • Probably an idea picking up a cheap set from Gumtree/FB if you're going to be here any length of time or playing regularly, should be cheap enough and not really the sunk cost hiring would be. Also most clubs even if they don't advertise it as a service will likely have spare sets by for those needing clubs on the day so would recommend just calling whichever club you fancy playing. by StuBobUK (Mon 18th Jul 2022 7:02pm)

  • How much is your car a month? I find that is a massive expense for most especially those financing them. People can of course spend their money how they like but I earn similar, in a similar situation area etc. and despite bills increasing its hasn't yet got to that point of struggle yet, albeit I will have to move south till next summer and will be paying for 2 houses as a result so will have no spare change from monthly salary. But sticking with car, I've only ever gone down route of straight out ownership for last 10 years and it has allowed me to save every month, not having that £200+ car payment every month is significant (that's potentially £2400+ per year) especially so when times like this strike. My TV, mobile, laptop each cost more than each of my last few cars. Indeed the current car market has gone very similar to that following 2008. Where less disposable income meant people held their second hand cars for longer, less on market driving used car prices up and newer cars down and eventually crazy incentive deals to shift them as the recovery happened. Following the used car market last few years this pattern has emerged again, where cars that would normally be scrap money or little more than £500 bangers are 3x that atm. For many that already tied to car payments it may not be most helpful advise but going forward or if it is an option, it's something to consider. For the record I've stuck with same brand of car for last 10 years and do most work myself, albeit there hasn't been that much that would really impact the savings made over monthly car payments. by StuBobUK (Fri 19th Aug 2022 12:48pm)
  • Absolutely, I support all worker strikes. Big business and governments have been getting away with it for too long. People need to realise this is not these workers being selfish by inconveniencing your day; we all benefit from these strikes in the short, medium and longer term. If there was a more cohesive understanding of their benefits, and the power workers, and the wealth generators actually have we would have a far better standard of living, services and distribution of that wealth. by StuBobUK (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 9:11pm)
  • It's not broken, it works as intended for those that control it. Wealth forever moving upwards. All they ever talk about is 'growth', growth of their profits of their margins, the problem is not growth of wealth which benefits 1%, the real problem is distribution of that wealth which is as we are seeing hedged to move upwards even in times of great crisis. Its when they make most of their money, never letting a crisis go to waste. by StuBobUK (Wed 24th Aug 2022 7:29am)
  • Wonder if it a case of them taking multiple 'deposits' on these cars and hoping one of them comes through with purchase. Easy money for them and more than likely one of those people paying such a deposit will buy it, or the ones who then decide against lose their £99, and they move onto next. by StuBobUK (Fri 16th Sep 2022 9:22am)

  • Currently on a little more than that at the moment but having to now run two houses opposite ends of the country as I undertake training steps for new job hopefully with prospect that it works out and will be in a far better position in years to come. £1700 or so after deductions per month and still have to pay my share of me and missus house in Glasgow, whilst now having to flat share down south for the next year or so. Things won't ever get better standing still, no one will offer you a better job/salary for nothing unfortunatel only person that can change your situation is yourself but I agree things have of course got worse in last few years which is even more incentive to go out and look to change that if you can. At 27, nearly a decade ago I went to uni, completed that and have since gone in a completely different direction without actually directly benefitting in that field. But no doubt it probably helped me personally and professionally to move on in a completely different directions by showing me probably what sort of work and environment I don't want to be involved with for the rest of my life if I can help it. by StuBobUK (Sun 11th Dec 2022 12:27pm)

  • How so? Do you consider those on PAYE earning incomes above the median salary to be the country's wealthy? Or are the wealthy actually those who are less often subject to PAYE income but see their 'wealth' come from elsewhere not subject to PAYE? There is a difference between income and wealth that people after conflate especially pushed by those of certain political ideologies. by StuBobUK (Wed 4th Jan 2023 10:40am)

  • Not rude. I ask staff what the policy is on this and tips, if they get them then I pay it. If not they get removed. Had a restuarant the other week try to include a mandatory £1 charity donation on their bills now too. Had that removed pronto, not because I am a dick but I just don't agree with these hidden/guilt tripping actions. They obviously work which is why they are adopted as policy which is what I am against as opposed to tipping/charity which is and should be discretionary. Those guys and girls who work in hospitality, dealing with the public and often in uncomfortable working conditions you couldn't pay me enough to do, I'll tip like I'm some sort of uber-American. by StuBobUK (Thu 26th Jan 2023 12:04pm)

  • https://www.nats.aero/careers/trainee-air-traffic-controllers/ There you go pal. Only need basic level of education to be an ATCO, the testing and candidate profile is what they look for, not formal educational requirements. Being here I can say that trainees are a huge variety of backgrounds, age, education and life experience. Ranging from people in their 40-50s to 18 year old straight from McDonalds. Regardless, everyone of them despite that huge diversity of backgrounds and education etc. is 'switched on'. It is a job open to anyone and they cast the net far and wide for possible candidates as it really is a particular type of person they are looking for with mostly innate skills and potential for training. I would recommend everyone to fire in an application on the off chance they find themselves suitable as potentially a great career, good working conditions and very good money. Recruitment had only recently opened back up last month after 3 year suspension. by StuBobUK (Wed 24th May 2023 9:08pm)
