  • I never asserted that they were, but in case anyone wanted one of these in particular. Most people don't work in cash handling positions either so, of course you are gonna encounter a disproportionate amount compared to the general public. Good for you I guess. by RococoSlut (Sat 10th Aug 2019 11:01pm)
  • Stopped going when the bouncer ID'd me n my pal then smirked "aren't yous a bit old?" Apparently a 23yo woman is too old but 50yo men aren't? Wouldn't even go for the novelty after that. by RococoSlut (Tue 12th Nov 2019 3:23pm)
  • It was hard for me moving back to Scotland from Tokyo. Both transport systems are privatised yet Japan is run efficiently, it's clean, affordable, without subsidy, and the entire country (bar Okinawa) has an integrated payment system (i.e scanning an oyster card to pay for bus in Glasgow). They have so many different rail and bus companies but they somehow managed to not make an absolute shitshow of it. The state of things here is beyond shocking. Sometimes else that bothers me, and some folk will think this is silly, but the ticket sizes for trains piss me off. The subway tickets in particular, why are they so fucking big?! by RococoSlut (Thu 13th Feb 2020 12:19am)
  • Even Japan has problems with rubbish being left after a lot of people have been in parks, and they're deservedly regarded as one of the cleanliest societies in the world. by RococoSlut (Sun 28th Jun 2020 12:00am)
  • I do think the UK is fucking clatty compared to some other countries (and leagues better than just as many) but acting high and mighty like literally no one else would do such a thing is ridiculous. It happens everywhere. The UK needs a better culture on littering overall but given the circumstances you're really overstating the problem in this picture. [Here's](https://www.google.com/search?q=%E3%83%8F%E3%83%AD%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A3%E3%83%B3%E3%81%AE%E5%BE%8C%E3%82%B4%E3%83%9F&tbm=isch&hl=en&ved=2ahUKEwiy5qKbjqPqAhVN4OAKHSlOC44QBXoECAEQKQ&biw=1583&bih=757) what Japan deals with at Halloween. • Under "[mental health teams across Glasgow](https://www.headsup.scot/services-and-support/what-support-is-there-for-you/ )" there's a list of Primary Care Mental Health Teams (PCMHT) services you can self refer to (should be one in your general area). For more serious issues you'd need to call a GP and have them refer you to a service. Also if you need urgent access you can call 111 for mental health concerns as well. by RococoSlut (Sun 28th Jun 2020 2:33pm)
  • Not sure how you can claim it was a 'regular day' in Glasgow?? Point is it does happen literally everywhere, dunno why you have such a boner for vilifying Glasgow rn. by RococoSlut (Sun 28th Jun 2020 10:34pm)

  • But your photo is from Glasgow green so how is that even relevant that large crowds were dispersed from a *different* park 😂😂😂 keep reaching hahahaha by RococoSlut (Mon 29th Jun 2020 8:50pm)
  • Yes, it's what's done in cities with above average poverty and deprivation. Glasgow is a dump and the council does nothing to address it's core issues, so it will continue to be a dump. Hard to give a shit about a city that doesn't give a shit about itself. by RococoSlut (Thu 16th Jul 2020 10:03pm)

  • Ta ✨ So how did it turn out? by RococoSlut (Thu 27th Aug 2020 1:42am)
  • It's getting to be a real shitshow. GCC don't appear interested in long term solutions either it, they just care about cheap, short term work arounds. And now they want to double the city centre population by 2035. I dread to think what that will look like based on their management of the city up to this point. Adding 40,000 people to a city while removing parking and not improving the transport network... what the fuck are they thinking? There's a proposed development for 520 sauchiehall street and it's intended to be 100 "luxury" studio or 1 bed flats. So that's *definitely* going to attract people who will respect and invest in the local area long term. So many spaces that could be preserved or redeveloped into decent housing or local businesses but they just let it decay into a shitehole. I don't know how they expect communities to thrive in a space that's been designed to undermine them. Glasgow has so much potential but until the council address it's issues with deprivation it's not gonna improve any time soon. by RococoSlut (Thu 27th Aug 2020 4:11pm)

  • There have been several cases of individual pubs, schools and even offices being closed because of covid outbreaks. It's been happening everywhere. by RococoSlut (Fri 4th Sep 2020 12:54am)
  • > In a pub there are rules on distancing Not from the people you arrived with. Think that's the part people are confused about; you can go to a pub and share a table, food and drinks with multiple people but you can't do that at home. What's the difference? by RococoSlut (Fri 4th Sep 2020 1:00am)
  • There's not enough space for you to distance that much anyway. Idk how people aren't meant to follow these guidelines when nowhere can accommodate it. by RococoSlut (Sun 6th Sep 2020 2:18pm)
  • Bars and restaurants clearly aren't giving a shit about distancing between households in the first place. I've never been asked how many households in a group. Even being out for a meal with one other person there is not 1 meter between each side of the table. They're treating one booking as one household and it does confuse me that patrons can be chastised for not doing something that no one is making any effort to offer. by RococoSlut (Mon 7th Sep 2020 12:47am)

  • I love the cap idea to reduce noise but I don't really see how it will connect the city centre to west end again. There's so much traffic passing through charing cross anyway, and around mitchell library in particular there's just offices and flats. It's not an attractive area in general. They'd be better off using it to provide parking to residents from surrounding areas. by RococoSlut (Sat 19th Sep 2020 11:28am)

  • So many of those tat souvenir/gift/americandy shops on sauchiehall too. There's even one inside buchanan galleries. Such a fuckin dive but I like what they did in savoy with colab. If they could facilitate more of that energy on the rest of the street. The council are focused on increasing the population of the city centre but not the living conditions or transport issues. But they did fund that cycle lane that's so poorly defined from the pavement people constantly walk in it. What more could people want? by RococoSlut (Wed 7th Oct 2020 1:11am)

  • No you're not, and everyone knows that it WILL happen (and it has been happening for months already, and data supports that) But we're also in one of those cost-benefit analysis moments. The assumption being that enough people will behave well enough to offset the "arseholes". That's what it's always been. They know not everyone will follow advice, just enough people to prevent a catastrophe. by RococoSlut (Sat 10th Oct 2020 3:41am)

  • If you're saying "none of that British stuff" then you don't want Scottish stuff because it's all British stuff too. Assume you meant no English stuff, and yes it does piss off Scots when people selectively delete Scotland from Britain. by RococoSlut (Tue 13th Oct 2020 12:50pm)
  • I know, I'm just explaining that it irks a lot of people when folk say British but really mean English. That's part of the reason so many Scots don't wanna call themselves British in the first place. by RococoSlut (Tue 13th Oct 2020 5:27pm)

New years day is gonna be a mess as well, not just the partying but the fact it's consistently the day with the most suicides (Christmas is usually the lowest but that might change this year). How are hospitals and police supposed to manage that on top of covid? by RococoSlut (Tue 17th Nov 2020 7:12pm)

  • Do folk even know what that means? You can still go to b&q, pets at home and the local offie. Places of worship remain open, weddings and funerals can go ahead. This guy can visit a grave ffs by RococoSlut (Fri 20th Nov 2020 3:18pm)
  • And if those things had involved visiting a solitary location with no one other than your own household then that wouldn't have been an issue. But it was mostly for visiting pubs so not really the same is it. This guy is a lower risk by going to his dad's grave than engaging in lockdown abiding activities within Glasgow. by RococoSlut (Fri 20th Nov 2020 4:01pm)
  • You forgot one other essential purpose you can travel: welfare, which includes mental health. It's his dad's bday once a year and if that visit is something he needs right now then what's the problem. He's not responsible for covid and this wouldn't make any difference so idk why people are being so anal about the rules with this one guy. There are no travel restrictions if you're attending a funeral with up to 20 other folk so why do you give such a shit about one household going to edge of their tier to mourn alone outside? If you care so much go to Tesco and police folk breaking rules down there, sure you'll find plenty. by RococoSlut (Fri 20th Nov 2020 5:00pm)
  • There are people who were so unable to justify going to hospital during lockdown they died preventable deaths. Some people struggle to acknowledge their needs, especially right now. Being anal about the rules has claimed lives, both from treatable disease and suicide. We're currently in tier 4 because the gov let everyone go on hols all summer, encouraged them to eat out, let all schools and unis back, and didn't enforce any of the "rules" so folk didn't bother to follow them. We are not in tier 4 because of people visiting graves. If thats want you got from my Tesco comment then, idk what to say. by RococoSlut (Fri 20th Nov 2020 6:04pm)

  • West princes street is one of those fake cycle lanes. There's blue bicycle signs all the way up but realistically you can only cycle the wrong way up a one way street because on the pavements full of holes with kerbs so deep you'd either be throw from your bicycle or destroy it. No idea what they were thinking. by RococoSlut (Fri 27th Nov 2020 1:55am)
  • Only time I have a problem with it is when they're on the pavement cycling the speed you would be on a road. I cycle on the pavement a lot but I'm pretty slow. Sometimes slower than pedestrians. I generally don't have anywhere to be and I'm not willing to take aggression from vehicles for being so slow. I've had some very scary experiences on the road even when I've been traveling at a high speed. Most drivers don't even know [close passing](https://news.stv.tv/scotland/third-of-drivers-do-not-leave-enough-room-for-cyclists?top) is illegal and most don't leave enough room for cyclists. Doubt anyone would judge you for cycling on the pavement if you have a child with you. The roads are dangerous and cycling infrastructure is almost nonexistent. by RococoSlut (Sat 28th Nov 2020 11:55am)

  • And where can cyclists go that there are zero cars? Nowhere. If you expect cyclists to move into a parking space and wait for you to pass then why can't you do the same? Pull over until they're gone if they bother you so much. If you think that's such a minor inconvenience then take it upon yourself. by RococoSlut (Sun 29th Nov 2020 12:28am)

I'm not sure how that didn't come up during trials. • It's been getting so much worse recently. Every single time I go to the supermarket I need to tell people to back off. Standing right up my arse in the queue doesn't make it move faster. Woman tried to have a go at me because SHE shoved in front of me to grab something and since I had the audacity to say "you could've said excuse me" she informed my I should've moved for her (by psychically knowing what she was gonna do next?) Told her to learn some fucking manners. Might depend on the condition of clothes etc, so I'd maybe ask them to clarify if you were gonna give to them. https://festive.social-bite.co.uk/trees-of-kindness/ by RococoSlut (Fri 18th Dec 2020 10:40am)

  • I know of more people who have committed suicide because of lockdowns than have died of covid. It's depressing af that the gov sees that as acceptable. They weren't even young either. They left behind partners and children. by RococoSlut (Sat 19th Dec 2020 11:40pm)
  • I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. People were probably assuming I think covid is a hoax or some shit. It's ridiculous how incapable folk are of having a conversation about the collateral damage and human cost of endless lockdowns. It genuinely disgusts me how unempathetic the average Brit is towards emotional welfare, even within the NHS. It's like they think people with greater emotional support needs are scamming the system and getting something extra for free. But none of that is worth talking about... by RococoSlut (Sun 20th Dec 2020 11:56am)
  • Doubt you'll find soondaeguk anywhere in Scotland, bit too niche. Jays grill bar is good for BBQ. Chung Ying has a good selection of groceries so might find blood sausage there. by RococoSlut (Wed 23rd Dec 2020 12:07am)
  • I know. But they gave it to people with serious allergies and only advised those with allergies shouldn't have the vaccine after two people had a reaction. If it wasn't suitable for them why were they given it in the first place? Bit irresponsible to give this to people who were specifically excluded from the trial. by RococoSlut (Wed 23rd Dec 2020 11:08pm)

  • Looking at their site I think the issue stems from the fact clients can't contact their artists directly but have to go through a booking system, which can't know what other work or days off the artists have planned so not surprising the diary ends up a mess. Their insta names but doesn't link to their own artists which is weird, probs making a lot of commission off bookings via the site. FYI if anyone gets fucked over by something like this go to your bank and request a chargeback. Even if you paid through PayPal, they'll still initiate it and the business has to provide proof there's no wrongdoing. by RococoSlut (Wed 30th Dec 2020 12:01pm)
  • What a dick move! Bet they decided they'd make more doing lots of smaller flash vs a half or full day piece. Wonder if the guest artist even knew. by RococoSlut (Wed 30th Dec 2020 7:56pm)
  • If you're talking about the akashi tai stuff it's NOT sake. It's a plum liqueur (umeshu) made with sake (instead of white liquor) and there's a yuzu liqueur too. by RococoSlut (Wed 30th Dec 2020 8:05pm)
  • Chung Ying stocks ozeki dry, very drinkable. About a tenner a bottle and as good as the equivalent product in its price range in Japan (which would be pumped up to £30 if imported here) Someone mentioned good spirit co but they don't stock sake and what they sell as sake isn't sake (it's umeshu and yuzushu made with sake instead of white liquor) by RococoSlut (Wed 30th Dec 2020 8:13pm)
  • Parents and children have been enjoying kids play parks for most of covid and no one cared. They're routinely packed to capacity. Never seen police there to disperse the crowd of adults or kids. Idk why folk are suddenly upset about this. by RococoSlut (Mon 4th Jan 2021 1:22pm)
  • It's about as harsh as thinking that incidents of harassment and assault should be investigated and punished lol The UK has an unfortunate culture of empty threats and making an example of one or two folk hoping it'll be a deterrent. People know that so they ignore "advice" well aware of the fact the gov are too fucking lazy to enforce the rules or hold people accountable for breaking them. All of which signals that it's not really that big of a deal. The same zero tolerance policies that we have for verbal/physical abuse should've been applied to covid rules. Would've loved to have seen the crowds hanging out in Tesco and folk not wearing masks banned. But even the fuckin staff are at it so 🤷 by RococoSlut (Mon 4th Jan 2021 7:05pm)
  • There's no such thing as a tattoo license anyway. Tattooists do need to be working in licensed premised but unless she's the business owner it's not her responsibility. For practice you can buy synthetic skin and body parts for tattooing. There's a lot of snobbery in tattooing around people practicing outside of an apprenticeship but a lot of great artists are self taught (same with any discipline) and there's no harm in getting familiar with the tools. by RococoSlut (Thu 7th Jan 2021 3:22am)

  • Yes! Humidity is relative so 80% in winter is not the same as 80% in summer. Cold air can hold less water vapor so the air is much drier in colder months. (a mouldy bathroom is because of poor ventilation, it's not an indication of moisture levels in the rest of the house) Run a humidifier in your living room/bedroom, or put a ramekin of water on top of the radiator. by RococoSlut (Sun 17th Jan 2021 7:22pm)

  • Ugh these ugly things. Easy for other folk to damage your bike when they're moving their own and easy for anyone with a key to steal every bike in there. Idk why people in initiatives like this don't look at other country's storage solutions and introduce [what they have](http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EmCP-BFRBP0/TcpnvnhDc_I/AAAAAAAABDU/ymomeS3ve-0/s1600/SN3I2827.JPG), which also happens to be more secure and can hold more bikes. by RococoSlut (Thu 28th Jan 2021 9:17pm)

  • The same way the council capitalises on car drivers laziness by charging for parking permits outside their homes when they could find free spaces in walking distance? by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Jan 2021 2:07pm)
  • Because you have one bike per rack with a unique key. Ime people with keys for these bins share them and let their pals put their bikes in. Bikes also have a tendency to topple over. Someone else's fell into mine and since they couldn't reach to untangle they just ripped my brakes out. by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Jan 2021 2:13pm)
  • The same floor space maybe. The double decker bike shelters are taller, which is better visibility especially from a distance. Adding vertical spaces provides up to double the storage slots. by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Jan 2021 2:17pm)
  • I know, I've used both. And my experience of the bins is not good but the racks guarantee your bike is double locked as an individual and not able to be damaged by other folk abusing the system/not storing their bike properly. by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Jan 2021 9:44pm)

  • Well Scotland's gonna introduce the bottle return scheme so they're not gonna sort out recycling when the plan is soon it won't be necessary because we'll be forced to do it ourselves or be out of pocket. And it's a shitty scheme. Every country who's introduced it saw a massive rise in the use of plastics. These schemes love to brag about their 90% recycle rate but when the majority of that is plastic, and people are now using more plastic than every because of the scheme, it's not meeting it's target of reducing plastic pollution. by RococoSlut (Tue 16th Feb 2021 11:18am)
  • Imo saying you can recycle plastic is kind of misleading. It can be repurposed maybe 2 or 3 times but all of it ends up in landfill eventually. A lot of "recycled" plastic bottles are just dumped anyway, as we produce so much more plastic waste than we can process and the Asian countries who usually take it are overflowing. And that's about to get worse. Just because plastic bottles are returned for their 20p deposit does not mean they are repurposed. Every plastic container that's manufactured adds to plastic pollution. Glass and aluminium on the other hand are infinitely recyclable, which this scheme deters people from using. Another issue we'll probably have to deal with is the same as in Croatia, a country that also has issues with alcoholism. Introducing a fee per container worsened that. 20p on a litre of vodka is more cost effective than 20p x 6 tinnies. The whole thing is a fucking scam designed to make the government look like they're doing something while giving polluters a free pass and shifting financial burden onto consumers. They need to regulate the use of plastic, not make us pay for the luxury of polluting. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/aug/17/plastic-recycling-myth-what-really-happens-your-rubbish by RococoSlut (Tue 16th Feb 2021 2:41pm)
  • Reducing litter here by creating and dumping more plastic elsewhere, and exacerbating alcohol related issues in the process, is a shitty way to approach this issue. People are still gonna litter anyway because there's a problem with our mentality, and making things more expensive for people doesn't address that. Unless they're planning to extend this to crisp bags, fast food containers, and starbucks cups too. As it stands kids drinks aren't even included in this scheme, not exactly a demographic known for their conscientiousness. by RococoSlut (Tue 16th Feb 2021 7:23pm)

  • Right, for university place not university avenue lol look at a map by RococoSlut (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 1:52pm)
  • Why would they spend millions on super crossings if they're closing the road to normal traffic? Because they're not. It's temporarily restricted to one lane while works are done but will be open as normal after. Pearce lodge is on university avenue, you can enter there just not the exit, and the main gate closure is temporary. • I'm disgusted by what I saw today but it was nowhere near the same scale of what went on after the rangers match. People were not marching through the streets, they were not setting off fireworks, they did not destroy public property, they did not attack passersby, and they did not party into the night. You had to have physically been at the park to know this happened. Can't say the same for after the football. by RococoSlut (Wed 17th Mar 2021 8:45pm)
  • The council issued a bill for £11k in damages. This afternoon was nowhere near the same and you're delusional to think it was. To claim it's as black and white as "rule breaking is rule breaking" is, as op said , a false equivalence. Idk how anyone can still be clinging to that kind of thinking when the rules aren't applied equally in the first place. by RococoSlut (Thu 18th Mar 2021 12:02am)
  • Not as if they had a historical context to suggest what was coming next or anything... Not like the polis had that same context and everyone had to sit n watch them to absolutely nothing. • I'd prefer wider pavements on byres road. The traffic there doesn't move particularly fast and being single lane it's not difficult to cycle, so I think a dedicated cycle lane would be a waste of space. by RococoSlut (Sat 20th Mar 2021 9:49am)

  • The sauchiehall street one is useless anyway, people walk all over the cycle path and don't look if they run across it. If you add space and lines on the road for a cycle path folk are just gonna park on it, as happens on every other cycle lane of that nature. by RococoSlut (Sat 20th Mar 2021 3:29pm)

Every time I saw them hanging about, saw needles, saw them using, I called the non emergency number (101) to report it. Eventually they stopped coming to do it at the back of mine because the police would come to investigate. • Sometimes this is caused by people going through the bins as well. Had it in my "secure" bin shelter, guys pulling every bag out and ripping them open. Also seen it on street. Outside of that this can be remedied pretty easily without extra bins. Just need weighted nets to throw over excess bags. When I lived in Tokyo all rubbish was left on street with a [net](https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/meoinkie2/15090507/76127/original.jpg) thrown over to stop crows tearing into them. Granted you put your rubbish out the night before collection and there were multiple collections a week, but I don't see why it couldn't work for overflow here. by RococoSlut (Wed 23rd Jun 2021 9:56am)

  • Kinda depends what they’re into. Most of these suggestions are things you could do in any city though. They’re not very Glasgow specific. Queen’s Park has events on atm and there’s loads of nice places to eat on vicky road. The big feed in govan is still going as well. There’s a patch of reclaimed land at the cowcaddens end of the canal that’s often got loads of graffiti/street art. Often see artists working on stuff. Bit further up there’s the claypits which have been part of a big regen project. There’s places offering water sports on the canal. You can also fish on parts of it (think you need a license, not sure how it works but see folk fishing a lot) by RococoSlut (Thu 5th Aug 2021 10:39am)

  • > Sharing this without identifying this man does not put more women in danger. It may encourage them to keep their wits about them even more than they already do Hahah yeah because us women love being told there is a threat in the area but not being given any clues about who it might be. As if going to clubs and bars wasn’t anxiety inducing enough already 😂 Women shouldn’t have to be encouraged to keep our wits about us. We do plenty already ffs by RococoSlut (Fri 12th Nov 2021 3:05pm)
  • Great so now women have to be even more vigilant on tinder because he might be there too and we have even less of an idea who to be afraid of. Helpful! • Littering is worst in areas with higher levels of deprivation, so while I hate to live in such a filthy country it’s honestly a hard sell to try and get people to care for a city whose council actively makes their life hell. The fucking government need to sort the chronic socioeconomic inequalities and persistent drug and health issues out if any of the symptoms of these things are gonna change. I actually don’t know why the most shat on members of society should be expected to act as “civilised” as everyone else when they get nothing for it. Where’s the incentive? by RococoSlut (Mon 21st Feb 2022 6:29pm)
  • Studies have been done on this and it’s an issue the Scottish government themselves acknowledge in their own investigations of littering. The bottle deposit scheme is a bunch of green washing bullshit as well. It increases use of plastic over recyclable materials (in countries with alcohol addictions issues it also exacerbated it) and the plastics are not recycled. We don’t have the facilities to, Europe doesn’t, they ship it to Asia and a lot of it is essentially fly tipped because even they don’t want it. by RococoSlut (Mon 21st Feb 2022 6:48pm)
  • You need to book a pcr at randox or somewhere similar the day before you travel. They’ll email you the results and you just show that at check in (I didn’t print them). You can request printed proof of vax or show it on the app, but sometimes the app fails if it’s not connected to WiFi and says you don’t meet vaccinated criteria. So I’d suggest getting a paper copy as some states require proof of vax to eat inside etc. I flew to early morning to the states via London and checked in 1hr30 before my flight. Was just the right amount of time. Covid documents add like a minute to your checkin time. As another poster mentioned BA tried to push the verifly app on me but I didn’t download it and didn’t need it any point. by RococoSlut (Sat 12th Mar 2022 8:02pm)
  • > For the first ten years the rent even didn't cover the mortgage, let alone the factor, insurance and agent fees so I was subsidising my tenants! Right. But these tenants are subsiding your 2nd home, without them you’d be paying all your mortgage lol that’s the point of renting it while you’re not using it right? by RococoSlut (Sat 12th Mar 2022 8:13pm)
  • I’m not lol I’m just pointing out you’re doing them a favour as much as they are you. You’re acting a bit of a martyr while admitting you can’t actually afford the things you decided to buy. What a hero not selling the flat and adding to the bubble though, big round of applause 👏 Tbh I wouldn’t keep a flat I bought 18 years prior. Like, do you have any concept of what state the area or flat is even in now? At that point you’d think a person would somehow accept they emigrated. by RococoSlut (Mon 21st Mar 2022 9:50pm)

  • If you’re missing cheese look up a brand called green vie, I’m not vegan but worked somewhere that got this brand and it actually tastes of cheese. Can vouch for their cheddar and feta. I’ve seen a vegan Philadelphia spread in some Tesco’s but never tried it. If you want ice cream my fav is Swedish glacé. Can get vanilla, choc, raspberry (the most elusive) flavour. My Home Bakery do a passion fruit and mango volcano cake that I later discovered is vegan. It’s fuckin amazing. Twisted empire bakes do vegan empire biscuits, they’re massive as well, can find them in various cafes. Check their insta for stockists. Also recommend cashew milk over oat milk. The latter is absolutely loaded with sugar, depends if you care about that tho. (Maybe you already know this but just in case, pesto contains cheese so be careful with that too) by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Jul 2022 11:33pm)

  • Do you seriously not realise how entitled you sound? 20 minutes (on foot) out of your day for access to another station with 4+ trains an hour is so privileged compared to the rest of the country. Get a grip. by RococoSlut (Wed 10th Aug 2022 7:52pm)
  • And trains do run from that station so what you bitching about 😂 If you want to travel exactly when it suits you get a damn taxi. by RococoSlut (Wed 10th Aug 2022 10:36pm)
  • They do run... You have multiple hourly trains and 3 stations and depending on what part of shawlands there are stations in surrounding areas, also with trains running. Do you people actually expect public transport to run like a taxi service? Cause that’s just a taxi, they exist already. by RococoSlut (Wed 10th Aug 2022 10:47pm)
  • Realistically, they have it *incredibly* good so if anyone in Glasgow sees improvement with public transport they'll not be a priority. Some folk need to practice a bit of humility and appreciate how many options they have relative to other people. And if people are that passionate about seeing improvements there are so many campaigns and community groups for so many things around Glasgow, not just transport, but most are content to sit by and watch things deteriorate then bitch about it while doing sweet fuck all. by RococoSlut (Thu 11th Aug 2022 10:44am)
  • There are loads of Asian supermarkets all over Glasgow but special shout for Tang mall (122-128 Dumbarton Rd, Partick, Glasgow G11 6NY) So reasonably priced and has a great selection. The labels are in Chinese but the prices are written as 2.2, 3.5 etc so easy to miss on first glance but they are there. by RococoSlut (Mon 15th Aug 2022 10:36am)
  • Pedestrians do that shit all the time and no one seems to give a fuck, they also have their own extensive pathways which cyclists don’t. So how come we don’t see people seething in online forums over pedestrians running into moving traffic, or even cars that rush the light even though it’s clearly turned red? Cause you all do it. • Most people cheat because it’s easier to get validation from someone else than deal with or even acknowledge that there is a deeper issue within themselves. A surprising amount of the time it’s not anything to do with their partner or a lack of love. Which doesn’t make it any easier or worth rationalising, just good to remember that peoples actions are a reflection of how they see themselves. by RococoSlut (Fri 23rd Sep 2022 1:56pm)

  • But they don't. If they don't diagnose you they still get paid, no difference. And, do people really not see that the NHS has massive financial incentives on this? The higher patient dissatisfaction the less likely people are to try and access resources. GPs with no training can deny referrals for specialist treatments and people don't see *that* as scary? A GP can straight up deny your request if they don't believe ADHD exists, and it still happens a lot. by RococoSlut (Wed 12th Oct 2022 3:16pm)

  • That panorama episode is a complete farce. The dude lied to all the private clinics about his symptoms then was honest with the NHS doc, of course the last one didn't diagnose him. All clinics are following the same NICE guidelines which is why he could so easily game the system, but choosing to do that only with the private clinics doesn't prove anything except that they are following NICE guidelines. The NHS doc from that episode also had stuff to say about what the real issues are: NHS underfunding, lack of ADHD awareness, and underdiagnoses. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/may/17/nhs-psychiatrist-adhd-underdiagnosis by RococoSlut (Wed 2nd Aug 2023 11:06am)

It's tragic that people had to raise awareness of these conditions and advocate for themselves. That was the NHS's job as the supposed health care provider to the people of this country. Private clinics operate off the exact same NICE guidelines the NHS do and are usually staffed by people who work in ADHD/ASD for the NHS too. Most NHS specialists are only part time and have other private sector clinics. The reality is this problem is one the NHS has spent years creating, and the media has tried to hide by blaming people seeking help. The NHS are not the victims. by RococoSlut (Wed 2nd Aug 2023 11:17am)

  • They are though, most unis only allow students in housing during first year. So where do they live the remaining 3 of their undergrad? Increasing the capacity for first year students means more competition for local housing stock. by RococoSlut (Thu 17th Aug 2023 7:59pm)

  • They aren't going up. For anyone travelling peak it's cheaper, and anyone travelling off peak it's the same. by RococoSlut (Thu 14th Sep 2023 9:55am)
  • Super off peak is totally different to off peak, it's very specific hours and was never available as a paper ticket either. Off peak is staying the exact same. by RococoSlut (Thu 14th Sep 2023 12:26pm)
  • Well as someone who uses peak and super off peak trains I'm much better off with my ticket costs being half in the morning than saving 40p the odd afternoon. How is this affecting you? by RococoSlut (Thu 14th Sep 2023 12:46pm)

  • It’s such bullshit that they do this in Glasgow. Especially considering the gp does have to enter a shared care agreement with the people who diagnosed you anyway. So many people are waiting they outsource it to a separate initiative and no one at my local cmht seems to have any knowledge of anything we discussed so every meeting with them is me arguing about stuff they’re too lazy to read in my notes, or just don’t have idk. I also get a different doctor every 6-12 months. When I was private I had one consultant and one psych nurse for 2 years and it’s the best my mental health has ever been. But apparently that’s an unreliable system 🙄 by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Sep 2023 11:26am)
  • This is the result of a graft. Ornamental varieties are often grafted onto hardier root stock but sometimes the root stock manages to grow out and they create this fusion. by RococoSlut (Fri 29th Sep 2023 11:41am)
  • I’ve done it before and it was fine. Since peak fares are scrapped until March try it and see if it’s doable for you, then you can move through if not. By then you might have met another student looking to change their accom so you’ll get more for your £££. Other option could be stay somewhere on the express line between Glasgow and Edinburgh. by RococoSlut (Sun 1st Oct 2023 10:44am)
  • They are saving money because they only need to be in Edinburgh 2-3 times a week but as they said their social life is in Glasgow so they'd be commuting back through to see people. Seems they have a kid too. by RococoSlut (Sun 1st Oct 2023 10:55am)

  • I’ve noticed that a huge amount of people who travel only go to certain places because they know other people have heard of them so they can either impress people by saying they went there, or if they meet other people that went there they can exchange bucket lists of where they went and impress each other. Most people don’t give a shit about the local culture or character, that’s not interesting enough to brag about, especially if it goes against stereotypes. But Edinburgh castle, the Highlands, whisky, and accents? Awesome! by RococoSlut (Fri 20th Oct 2023 1:46am)
  • Garnethill park in the centre is gorg. Also the canal starts at spiers wharf and leads to the clay pits, which eventually link around to the Kelvin or goes out past anniesland or bishopbriggs. Possil marsh is pretty cool and the cemetery opposite it is impressive. There’s so much you can access from the city too, just gotta not be lazy af. by RococoSlut (Fri 20th Oct 2023 3:27am)

  • Individualism is based around the goals on an individual, and that can be to fit in with a specific group or to achieve social/career status. It’s not anti status quo, individualistic people don’t necessarily want to be different, but individualistic people believe they should be free pursue their goals at the expense of others in their community. They act on behalf of the individual. Having perspective in thinking about how their actions affect others is the opposite of individualism, it’s collectivism. by RococoSlut (Fri 1st Dec 2023 4:57pm)
