  • Honestly relax, your doctor is not gonna judge you or get you in trouble. Good on you for getting help mate, honestly one of the hardest parts is that initial first step, so you're already on your way to recovery. Just go into your GP and say this to the doctor: "I am worried that I have become addicted to taking xanax as i have been taking this much per day for this length of time, I want to stop but when I tried this is what happened." and then just answer whatever questions they ask. it's important to be honest because they won't judge and they need to know accurate figures for general dose and use rates etc. Good luck mate, stick with it and you are gonna be fine. Don't beat yourself up if you cave, just keep at it and you will succeed. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 20th Mar 2019 12:19am)

I'm a man so I don't have the same lived experience, but I see/hear a lot of people (including women) by themselves jogging at all hours of the night and morning or walking their dugs, so there definitely is an atmosphere of safety. Also there's a polis station next to the Thornwood end on Dumbarton Road itself. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Mon 29th Jun 2020 6:24pm)
  • fuck up, arsehole, we advise patients they don't need to wear a mask if they have certain conditions so go take your beady wee suspicious eyes and have some consideration for people with poor health by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 10th Jul 2020 5:34pm)
  • Aye, let me trust the words of someone who has a patreon for nutrition and weight loss advice rather than trusting the clinical decision making process of the healthboard. An actual doctor, you make me laugh. I wouldn't trust a vascular surgeon to advise me on a spinal condition and no vascular surgeon in their right mind would give out blanket medical advice because in an actual healthcare setting that could be the grounds for getting chinned by the GMC. So why would I trust a nutritionist for advice about infectious disease or public health, when we have entire departments with dedicated specialists for that? Here's an experiment for you - Phone your GP Practice and ask if they have any patients who are clinically advised not to wear face coverings because of health conditions. You don't need to let me know the answer, I already know it. You seriously need to look at how you verify information if this is your evidence. Aye I'm touchy about it because I spend a lot of my time working with people who are on and off ventilators, have prescribed home oxygen, have been shielding for four months, and then get some arsehole like yourself who knows fuck aw about fuck aw commenting in the shops about how they're selfish for not wearing a mask. Do you have any idea the quality of life difference that just going to the shops has for some people? Seriously you need a reality check, go volunteer at a hospice for a few months and come back when you have some consideration for the vulnerable. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 10th Jul 2020 6:59pm)
  • Depends on severity, talk to your GP and they should be able to advise. They'll should also be able to direct you to the service which provides the medical exemption lanyards with the card. Sorry you're being downvoted, this subreddit is honestly an incestuous mix of people who get their education from reading headlines and memes. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 10th Jul 2020 7:42pm)
  • Pretty decent compliance so far that I've seen. Haven't seen an unmasked face on a bus in weeks. A few in Tesco, etc. I think though that if they really want this to be successful the government or retailers need to take responsibility for handing out masks. It's all well and good to say that you need to wear them, but making them even £1.50 just adds to that reluctance a lot of people who don't have a lot of money have to wearing one. Where I work (avoiding identifying, but I'll give you a clue, it's big and there's lots of sick people inside) we are handing them out for free on the door because we want to ensure as many people as possible are wearing them. If someone can't wear one for health reasons then we're trying to make sure they're in and out before anybody else comes in. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 10th Jul 2020 11:52pm)
  • Aye, in Partick, wee bastards were rife after they demolished the Western, then we had the council out with the poison, now they're back again after lockdown. • Honestly sounds like mice to me, you in the west end? the council are the best for pest control in my experience but they take ages to come out, but whatever they use works much better than the rentakill stuff. Also whatever you do, DO NOT USE STICKY TRAPS. It's not about the cruelty, it's about having to deal with a sticky mouse corpse, or if you've stuck it in a cupboard and forgot about it, some sticky mouse juice. It is fucking disgusting and when I had to deal with the first one I binned the rest of the traps ASAP. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 13th Nov 2020 1:07pm)

  • The Council sent me a demand for my electoral information. Same letter as every year, except this one arrived when I wasn't quite feeling myself, if you know what I mean, so I replied with a six paragraph essay on why Glasgow City Council should be more polite. The main points being that their rampant corruption, inability to complete any task correctly, and complete lack of ability to manage even the simplest task mean that as a citizen forced to pay them every month they better say please and fucking thank you because they are a complete drain on society. Ended with a specific rant about how Sauchiehall Street is now a fucking mess because they don't understand the basic concept of tree boxes as a filter for vehicle runoff, how these need to actually be connected to the fucking road via drainage, and how the whole thing is essentially worthless from a green design point of view. Also they left big bumps on the pavement that's a trip hazard. So aye just let the full moon take over and send them an abusive email and they'll probably sort it. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Mon 7th Dec 2020 6:32pm)

  • They were fucking horror shows anyway. Collected infrequently enough that any time you opened the thing it was like discovering a body in a horror film, big black flies as big as an eyeball bursting out in a horde that would make Beelzebub moister than an oyster. • If you're thinking of buying a converted church in Glasgow you need to be asking what they did with the graveyard. There's three standard answers (Didn't have one, built over it, exhumed and reburied) you need to make sure it's not the last one, puts the spirits to rest and you'll have to get your own ghosts. Provided they just paved over it, you now need to be asking what time period was the church most active in, otherwise you might treat the ghosts like they're Victorian era but they're actually Tudor and you'll piss them right off, not advised. Third and most important is check if there's any wee boxes with poison down on the ground, these are pretty immensely important as well as this might indicate a problem with mice or rats, ghosts are quite picky and don't like to share the under the floor inside the wall space. So can't have mice at all. If you're at your wits end, just wait til lockdown is over, attend the Blue Lagoon across from the taxi rank at Central on a late weekend evening, and announce afters at yours and free patsys, and you'll gather a horde of ghost faced ghouls in no time who will do for an ad hoc haunting by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Mon 22nd Feb 2021 1:49pm)
  • I'm not sulking I'm ripping the piss out of an idiot on the internet. You think your story of some mad nurse in Turkey revealing all about AIDS and vaccines is a devastating blow to the medical world, but you are talking pish by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 23rd Feb 2021 10:33am)

  • Only good chippy in the actual west end is the Uni Cafe on Byres Road, and that's getting much worse in quality recently. The problem with them all is they're generally run by posh cunts so you get a half arsed and overpriced chippy that doesn't hit the spot. Best delivered chippy in my opinion is from Tartan Fish & Chips on Paisley Road West. It's a simple place with cheap suppers, but out of all the ones I've tried it's the only one that delivers here that's an actual chippy, rather than some 25 year old hipster's idea of a modern revitalised experience where they fry their chips in the smegma of Glasgow Uni alumni. West End has by far the best Indian places though in the city by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 30th Apr 2021 1:53pm)
  • Aye they're still going. It's usually a thing older people in work do. My manager runs one with like 40 other cunts for a tenner a month, and when it's your minoj (I spell it this way, fuck off) day you get the full 400. It's basically a savings subscription, you pay in every month and when it's your turn you get the full whack, but obviously there's a lot of trust involved, bumped minojs are a big drama by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 30th Apr 2021 2:00pm)
  • See when you think about the scale, every single hoose or flat receiving this amount of useless shite from the government, literally the picture multiplied by maybe a million households? Honest to god man, it's such a fucking waste for literally nothing. These politicians need to get a grip of themselves and realise they exist at our leisure, the rest of us put a shift in on a daily basis and these cunts do fuck all but fail to maintain public infrastructure and argue amongst themselves about who has the biggest throbber. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Sat 1st May 2021 4:34pm)

  • Will keep my eyes peeled, I am in that area as well. Just a note - My friend's cat turned up in her close approximately 8 months after going missing (this was Chancellor St). Think it's probably a pretty safe area for cats considering how many there are about the place and how they're all so well fed, so please don't despair or lose hope! Also check with local vets because sometimes people take missing cats there. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Mon 31st May 2021 1:58pm)

  • Do not volunteer at the British Heart Foundation furniture and electric in Partick. I say this as a former volunteer. Anne and Debbie who are the paid staff (managers) basically treat you like shit and expect you to skip lunch, breaks, etc to move heavy furniture back and forth at their whim while they sit munching a KFC. Absolutely shocking treatment of volunteers who are trying to do the best for charity, and every single person I knew quit after a few weeks of being worked like a slave. There are a number of soup kitchens and other projects where you directly can help other people, and I would recommend them to the utmost. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 1st Jun 2021 2:58pm)

We have all the same voting power (i.e. none), but we are forced to listen to these carefully manufactured arseholes parrot our own dearly held beliefs back at us pretending like they are going to do anything other than the corporate written itinerary they've been paid to deliver. I can't be arsed to listen to any more lying politicians, I don't spend the rest of my life licking shites in case one tastes like chocolate, same thing for politicians. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 19th Apr 2022 12:27pm)

He told me that he was doing well in life, family, hoose, motor, the lot. Then somebody murdered his daughter and it changed who he was as a person, he was constantly angry, bitter, turned to violence himself trying to make himself feel better, ended up in Bar-L for attempted murder on a guy he thought was involved with the murder of his daughter. He didn't ask me for anything else, he was just greetin telling me all about where his life went wrong, the consequences of it, how it can happen to anyone, then he went on his way. For me just seeing him was emotionally devastating, the guy was clearly fucked, had been through so much, and now he's spiralled down to his worst and most people don't even make eye contact in case he asks them for money. I cannae even imagine continuing with my life at that point, but he managed it. So aye, maybe not a hilarious cheeky story or whatever but it felt important to me by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 20th Apr 2022 11:25am)

  • I used to do the charity fundraising on the street and door to door, but I was shite at it - Most I met weren't good people, they were narcissists who thought pressuring the elderly into skinning themselves to keep paying the wages of 500k a year CEOs was the most ethical thing you can do with your life. There were obviously a few exceptions, but majority were very attention seeking personalities, and the tactics they use deliberately prey on the vulnerable and easy to manipulate. You get taught 'objection handling' which is how to tell a wee woman on a state pension that 11 charities aren't enough and that your charity is one she needs to add (especially if you're older because they usually give money when they die to charity). So aye, I'll give them my time and nothing more, and if they start to get pushy I just go into a very in depth explanation of why in my personal opinion charities are a scam and actively harm the people they supposedly help in order to keep themselves in business. I usually go for a specific incident like the absolute disgrace that was American and British Red Cross 'conduct' in the rebuilding of Haiti in which total disregard of basic fucking sanitation led to the first outbreak of cholera in 100 years because cunts don't know how to keep shitting water and drinking water separate despite being the 'experts' by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Thu 21st Apr 2022 10:05am)

I think when I went there was a stall where a woman was selling her art (and it was really good), but otherwise just food and drinks vans with deck chairs, usually lots of kids about so it can be a bit noisy as well. That's the reason they keep fighting with the bin men, it's not because they don't want to pay decent wages because of their own personal corruption, but rather the future of their species actually depends on a regular bin strike for at least the most nutritious morsels. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Sat 30th Apr 2022 9:48pm)

Don't worry, we have tons of English people from all across the country here, it's not like you'll be stumbling into some sweaty tavern, try to order a pint and the whole place turns to look at you because of your accent, most people won't even notice. Unfortunately, there is one form of abuse you are far more likely to suffer from, which is that when someone hears your accent they might go into a lengthy diatribe about how everyone thinks the english are cunts but actually they're okay really etc. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 3rd May 2022 10:50am)

  • Ahh sorry, I see the confusion, because I read and understood it without really thinking I didn't realise that outside of knowing specifically what it refers to you might be a bit lost! This post might be a bit detailed, so apologies. So giving you context, cannabis is a class B, while possession is almost always a verbal warning, maybe a fine (last time I got one it was 75 quid), and a slap on the wrist. This is why people who don't know anything talk about it like it's legal. It's not legal, and people go to jail for selling all the time. In fact, over the pandemic the focus on getting dealers has increased, and a very low cost and traditional tactic is to post on forums asking subtly asking for hookups, you can actually go through this subreddit alone and find over a dozen examples if you can be bothered. Something that's funny about all of these examples is they tend to look and sound very similar, i.e. account less than a year old, posting subtle/slang terms (usually outdated/American). The age group doesn't really match the emoji use, and the slang term is one which isn't common at all here but is very common on reddit/America. This post looks like all the others, that is why I reacted with hostility straight away, sorry for the confusion. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 16th Aug 2022 12:09pm)

  • whether or not I am talking shite (I very well could be, I'm no the polis), you're wrong RE: entrapment. Entrapment isn't a crime, it is a discouraged police practice which can be used as a defence in court, i.e. I would not have otherwise committed the crime if they didn't force me to. Presenting the opportunity for someone to commit a crime is not entrapment because the expectation under the law is that a reasonable person would not break the law if given the opportunity to do so, whereas entrapment comes into play in which you would not have normally broken the law except for being forced, intimidated, harassed, or otherwise made to do so by the police by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 16th Aug 2022 7:19pm)

Council Pest Control are genuinely much better in my experience than private agencies but they're so busy you're sometimes waiting hours on the phone for an answer. Don't buy 'ethical' or 'pain-free' traps, putting a mouse outside in the garden won't solve the problem. If you see any holes appearing get them stuffed with steel wool immediately, rats can chew through it but not mice, it'll hopefully stop them in that bit. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 17th Aug 2022 12:26pm)

  • I think the problem is that there is simply nothing else that we can do. Conservatives have spent their more than a decade in power redesigning the electoral system to benefit them subtly which has resulted in a disproportionate representation for essentially criminals and thieves. The conservative party during the pandemic alone stole money on a mass scale while underequipping every service that relied upon them, and as a result we have hundreds of thousands dead. A strike is the only thing we can do to say 'We have had enough'. We cannot just abide by a government that happily kills those that they can't milk for more money. Hoping the government will bail us out is madness, they've done everything they could to make the most of this mess for themselves which is why it's gotten so bad. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 24th Aug 2022 10:13am)

  • I worked as a fundraiser in the city centre for a few years annoying cunts and there's no shitting on the street and so I've got a scale that helps - Hotel Toilets - Usually top tier but guarded, you need to either be sneaky or use a direct and honest approach. Watch out for motion sensitive lights though hotels always seem to have 30 seconds where you can be still before you need a crash course in shitting in the dark. Pub Toilets (Decent) - Usually a bit pishy, but picking a decent one you've usually got at least a few stalls as well as the pish trough so you get a wee bit of peace if nobody is rattling the gear, Solid Rock gets a special mention for good sinks. Pub Toilets (Wetherspoons) - Usually quite far away and a bit isolated/peaceful depending on time of day, usually decent stalls as well, but not exactly a good option if you're five prayers deep. "Public Toilets" - Train stations, bus station, etc. Usually dire quality, busy as you can get, worst smelling, and most likely to get some cunt trying to lick the piss off the floor around your ankles while you're squeezing one out. Paying money for one of these feels like having your mouth spat in by a stranger. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Sun 2nd Oct 2022 12:43am)

If I was to put a conspiracy hat on and start speculating without evidence I'd argue that there is something funny going on where expensive student flats seem to pop up everywhere, fires seem to randomly start despite previous warnings, and at the same time Glasgow University has managed to somehow accidentally overbook a few thousand students into accommodation that no longer exists. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 4th Oct 2022 4:22pm)

  • Just a word of warning: Quite a lot of charity places treat volunteers like slave labour and will try rip the piss out of you as a result - Remember that you are still entitled to take breaks, and laws regarding employer responsibilities such as PPI, safe workplace etc still apply. I personally had the cunt ripped out me before by the BHF Furniture and Electrical shop in Partick. I would avoid that place like the plague, the charity is great but that shop is a workhouse run by arseholes who'll get you lifting sheets of glass in unsafe conditions and nag you to get back to work while you're still picking shards out of your face. I am not exaggerating for effect. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Thu 6th Oct 2022 7:09pm)

  • I was referred to the Arndale Resource Centre by my GP on the back of a recommendation from therapist in the community I was attending for CBT, and I feel like I got a completely substandard level of care - Psychiatrist was really dismissive, kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain sometimes difficult things, answered the phone during the consultation as I was explaining how I'd go about killing myself to debate with the guy installing her windows about prices, and was ultimately dismissed with the words that unless I was in and out of jail and couldn't maintain any relationships then they wouldn't see me or give me any medication and so a diagnosis was pointless. I'm genuinely glad to hear you've had a better experience because it genuinely put me off seeking any further help from the Psychiatry services. My favourite line was when I explained that I was rapidly accruing debt because I'd take a notion, get a rapid loan of a few grand and just spend it and deal with the consequences later, Psychiatrists reply was - 'Life's hard, treat yourself'. Got the total impression of we're only there to pick up the pieces, if you're in the process of falling apart then just tell us once you're close to killing yourself and maybe we'll bother to help. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 12th Oct 2022 4:48pm)

Imagine walking through a park which has some christmas lights on some trees, put together with zero effort or care, and then with stalls to charge you more money for shit you can get in poundland. Elfingrove is also dire, whole building is dark so you can barely see fuck all, and all they've done is put Christmas hats on a few skeletons. • Seriously if you haven't been inside for a night it's a must. Imagine a close community of people mostly in their elder years who love country western music, dressing up as cowboys, having simulated gun fights, and the drinks and food are cheap as you get. I've been in it twice so far, one was when I was wee for my granda's 70th, and another one for a work night out a few years back and both times I loved it, the people are lovely and welcoming, and it's a good laugh. Also the gun salute/end bit with the flags etc is meant to be a sort of remembrance for the members and friends of the club who have died, I don't think anybody in the Grand Ole Opry is some Kamikaze pilot style holdover from the American Civil War trying to get the south to rise again by tricking the elderly of Govan with a bit of Patsy Cline by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Sun 6th Nov 2022 12:55pm)

  • Ma da grew up in the gorbals in the 60s and told me that he'd heard stories about it from the local weans being that basically there was a vampire snatching weans and whisking them away to the southern necropolis at night, the weans tried telling their parents and the polis but got laughed away as vampires don't exist, so they got all the weans about their age together and said right we need to deal with this ourselves, climbed in at night with their pen knives and slings, and then it stopped, whether they found the vampire and put a stake through the heart like they did with Thatcher we don't know, but the killings stopped after that. Obviously that's from the perspective of a wee guy hearing stories from other weans about something they believed as weans, so unlikely to be completely accurate obviously. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 7th Dec 2022 5:42pm)

  • I personally think Glasgow has the best weather of any city in the world when you account for the fact we never have water shortages, max windspeed is less than elsewhere in Scotland because of the Shield of Ireland and the energy cost of wind moving from East to West across the land. We don't have any natural disasters, we get a moderate amount of rain all year round yet barely every get disaster level floods. I genuinely think we have the most temperate weather in the entire world. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Mon 12th Dec 2022 11:22am)
  • To be honest I think it's because majority of people on reddit aren't working class but mostly middle class student types who are trying their best to not be arseholes and support tory style 'they're all at it' arguments, but the problem is those of us who are actual working class know these people. Both sides of my family are like that, I loved my grandparents but they done maybe 5 years of work between the lot their entire lives, spent the majority of their life on sick pay supplemented with stealing (never burglary). Apparently it was just the way back then, get your broo money, drop off enough to get messages for the week then fuck off on a bender for weeks leaving the wife raising half a dozen weans in a single end. It's different these days, broo is a lot more strict and they don't leave much copper in sites anymore by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Thu 19th Jan 2023 2:58pm)
  • You're not gonna get anything back, it's likely already punted on. Nothing worse than burglars, absolute lowest of the low, hope the cunts choke on their sick. You need to make your place look less like a target, completely clear the garden, keep nothing in view of the windows and keep them shut and locked unless you're in that room. Also maybe just me but I'd also put a few strips of those wee hook things they use to hold carpets under the windows anaw just so that then anybody looking in thinks it's more trouble than it's worth. Filters on the air conditioning is another one I'd have thought needed done before those weans died, erm maybe as well designing it so that you don't need to walk through an entire fucking ward to get to the meeting rooms. While I don't think this is the case here (because honestly who really gives a fuck about what r/glasgow thinks) it's not exactly a massive conspiracy because fake accounts and manufactured discussion is a common political tactic in the 21st century, so I wouldn't be so quick to discount it as nonsense babble. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 10th Feb 2023 11:28am)

Coke addiction is a powerful motivating force and it's a lot easier to justify when you say to yourself 'It's fine if X' such as 'It's fine if my maw pays my tic bill'. He's only going to recover either through sheer force of will vs addiction which is hard as fuck, or when every possible enabling force is removed. What you're doing is enabling his addiction, this is a bit harsh but what you need to be thinking is that every tic bill you pay is basically spooning gear into his nostrils. I'm sure you're both lovely people but addiction turns lovely people into fiends, and if you don't get it nipped in the bud ASAP you're going to be wasting a lot of money and energy fighting against pure crackhead energy. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Thu 23rd Mar 2023 4:13pm)

It's far too easy to come out of school thinking you're stupid but that's just because the school system is so bad and not a reflection on you. Also don't worry about getting the right marks to get into uni, you can take a couple of years to understand what you want to learn about and then get in through an Access Course. Trust me when I say it's much better in further education, not only have they got a greater institutional understanding of neurodiversity but they actually have interesting stuff to learn and usually drop most of the bullshit. It's not you that's dumb, it's the school system, it has no regard for anything other than exam results, your actual education and experience doesn't matter. • You ever seen anyone for depression? I've got it quite bad myself so I know very well the brushing teeth/making dinner struggles. Also my go-to is either a subway (I know not the healthiest but it has some vegetables), or I get tortillas, grated cheese, meat I like, and then put the frying pan on the hob, put a tortilla in the pan (no oil), add the cheese and the ham, then just fold it in half when the cheese is kinda melted, have that with a bag of salad like rocket, staves off the hunger and you don't feel like shit after by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 25th Apr 2023 11:28am)
  • A year ago that would have been around about 1k a month. We need to start smashing the secure entryways of the 5k a month student flats so anybody can get in and have a kip. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 26th Apr 2023 2:09pm)
  • Aye it's hilarious, one screenshot they're complaining about getting rotas with shorter notice and being pressured by managers over whether or not they're actually sick, and this thick cunt thinks that proves the point, actually hilarious. • You got downvoted but exactly right. Anonymous twitter account made to grass on striking workers and make them look demanding and workshy, it truly is one of the world's great mysteries who is behind that account. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Wed 26th Apr 2023 2:35pm)
  • At least they're upping the ante on the scam each year, last year it was play for free, this year it's volunteer for 95 quid that you'll get back maybe from the proceeds of next year's scam. T in the Park run by Charlie Ponzi by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Thu 11th May 2023 10:43am)
  • The definition of woke and wokeness has been deliberately lumped in with a whole lot of other things at the same time. To be woke is a phrase from a play about a black American who realises the injustices in American society which once noticed cannot be ignored. However nobody online discusses nuance and context anymore, they just read words and argue against them regardless of context. I also know about what you are defining as woke too, which is the American cultural phenomenon in which everything reported by liberal American news organisations which passes through the younger generations like bread through a duck, for example the many, many people who joined in with ice bucket challenge, posting black squares on instagram for George Floyd, posting Ukraine flags etc. I understand the cynicism surrounding these also because ultimately armchair/social media activism makes no real difference to the issue and comes across very much as the 21st century equivalent of chainmail where if you don't immediately follow the trend you're an arsehole. I think that personally nobody's right on this situation, these terms are deliberately being pushed with a broad ill-defined meaning because then we (the poor and powerless) argue amongst each other about the definitions and don't seem to notice the corruption, criminality, absolute piss taking that's happening not only with our government but all these huge companies and corporations who collude on price rises which starve and impoverish millions to pay their big bosses all the bonuses they can. That's why I personally don't use the term woke, nor do I try to engage in any arguments about it. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Fri 12th May 2023 11:54am)

  • Being completely honest, NHS work is a fucking nightmare and it gets worse every single year. Regardless of where you work you're going to have more work than a single person can manage, anybody leaves then they don't get replaced and you're just meant to manage their work as well. So there's constant pressure, mistakes, and the thickest and meanest cunts get promoted into management positions so they don't give a fuck. The entire NHS GGC is an absolute shambles and I regret ever starting and now I'm that burnt out that I can't even look at other jobs because I don't have the energy and I'm so depressed that the future looks so hopeless that I'd rather just top myself. So aye if that sounds good to you then please come join the NHS! by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 16th May 2023 1:01pm)
  • I understand where you're coming from about the dog, but try to have some sympathy for the human. Does anybody get into for example jagging their arms with heroin if they're in a good place? You can argue personal responsibility all you like but that's a load of shite, there's a reason it's cunts in the most deprived areas with the least who get into dangerous recreational drugs. by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 16th May 2023 5:57pm)

  • I probably didn't phrase it well tbh - I'm talking about cunts that argue that the only thing that's different between some rich toff cunt and a guy sleeping in a doorway is ambition/responsibility/grindset bullshit. Definitely don't do what you like because it's probably illegal! by PM_ME_ANYTHING_ETC (Tue 16th May 2023 6:56pm)
  • No just you it's absolutely dire out there. Maybe not the best advice, but it's a good time to get good at shoplifting - Cunts like Tesco, Morrisons, etc are all ripping the absolute cunt because they can, so fuck them.
