  • its the colours purple white and green, bc those are the colours the suffragettes used and they fancy themselves revolutionary martyrs i guess. Either way, plastic shit littered in the park goes in the bin regardless of the hateful intentions. Not gonna let a squirrel chew on that. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 10:31am)
  • The trans people in my life are my heroes so I'm only returning the favour. Stay strong, you are loved and appreciated. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:56pm)
  • Their wants as far as the hate crime bill goes are also transphobic and generally lgbt phobic, like as a butch/gnc lesbian married to a trans woman i would have been impacted by a few of their wants because technically im a "cross dresser" and they dont think I deserve protection for that, and apparently I'm not in a real lesbian relationship to them either so they dont want me protected there either (nevermind the fact that ive been called dyke loads of times whilst out with trans girlfriends) So anytime they go on about protecting lesbians, feel free to throw that one back at them bc theyre lying :) by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 1:54pm)
  • and here i thought i left all the right wing christian nutters back in america. please go to therapy or something, you're clearly unwell. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 4:38pm)
  • i dont think so, the stickers would have to be a direct call to violence (like very literal) but IANAL. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 4:40pm)
  • yeah, "christian bigotry" is a real thing, i got loads of it from you folks for being gay. how was i meant to know you weren't being serious when loads of people are at it in the name of your religion? surely you cant expect to be given the benefit of the doubt if you admit to the deed? by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 5:10pm)
  • UPDATE: I removed another today while out walking my cat. I can and will clean these streets of this every day if I have to. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 5:15pm)

  • My lesbian high school english teacher (obligatory gay role model growing up) said that homophobes are always fixated on gay sex and the same seems to be true here. they seem to be absolutely obsessed with trans peoples bodies and the sex they might be having. I dont think I even think about my wifes body as much as they do, and I think about it a good deal haha ;) My favourite is when random straight people try to insist im being gay wrong or that theyre trying to protect lesbians like, oh really joanne? you have one lesbian friend? well i guess that makes you the expert. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 6:34pm)
  • I'm a woman, by the way. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Mar 2021 8:31pm)

  • If someone is going out of their way to harass others, troll, spread hate etc. then somethings not right and they should take responsibility for the state of their mental health that's leading to this behaviour. I have mental health issues that if unchecked, can be really disruptive to others. What do I do? Im an adult, it's my responsibility and I go to therapy. period. I think most people who lash out at others could do with some therapy to sort out their hate and aggression. maybe nutter wasnt the best choice of words but this behaviour is far worse than whatever i could have said about it tbh by kalexcat (Sun 21st Mar 2021 11:42am)
  • fair dues. I should have focused on the behaviour as opposed to assuming the root of the issue. I was being a bit passive aggressive and didnt think it through. should have ignored it all together. like i said, lifelong mental illnesses here, I understand the issue you raise. by kalexcat (Sun 21st Mar 2021 2:15pm)
  • 1.7% of the population is intersex and sex is a bit more complicated than what they teach in high school but go on then m8, school us on biology since u must be a genetic expert /s by kalexcat (Sun 21st Mar 2021 2:22pm)
  • i used to live in a close with no secure access. theft, piss, used needles and crack smoking was the result. its not that expensive to get keys cut, if you feel generous you can get a bunch cut and gift them to all your neighbours, but its really their responsibility. by kalexcat (Sun 21st Mar 2021 2:50pm)
  • i mean if there was an entire movement trying to oppress people with a different number of legs, then yeah, you'd have to consider the context of that. A common argument against gay people having right is that reproduction requires sperm+egg. I mean yeah, that's technically true, but when someone says "u need a man and a woman to have a baby!!" they usually mean it as a slight against gay people. This is what a lot of people do, say things like this where they can deny any wrongdoing, but their intentions are clear. I've been aware of the gender critical stuff for like 10 years now, I know these games. by kalexcat (Sun 21st Mar 2021 6:02pm)
  • I got one as well haha, with a flyer that had a picture of jesus but he looked like he was gonna sell me a car. Ive seen loads of white jesus, but never one with a tidy short haircut lmao by kalexcat (Tue 6th Apr 2021 2:05pm)
  • Join your local tenants union!! (I’m with living rent) this is super uncool of your landlord to leave you like this and you don’t have to live with your landlord screwing you over all the time. I used to have a terrible land lord, never again... by kalexcat (Fri 9th Apr 2021 2:07am)
  • Could maybe try sprinkling some diatomaceous earth around the baseboards or in between the floorboards? (Basically it’s this powder that’s really jaggy on a microscopic level and cuts up the exoskeleton of bugs and kills them. It’s a common treatment for bed bugs but works on other bugs) by kalexcat (Sat 10th Apr 2021 1:04pm)
  • Brutal, yes. It’s a lot safer than pesticides though. I bought some to keep my house flea free after a bad flea season put my poor cat through hell. I avoid killing bugs when I can but my cat is extremely allergic to them so I have to go hard on them. by kalexcat (Sat 10th Apr 2021 4:22pm)
  • Sure, it’s not a particular brand I got, I just got a big bag and bottle off eBay. Some people apply it with a paint brush, I just dusted it along the base boards and in between the floor boards, then swept up the excess. The real thing to watch out for with fleas is carpeting and soft furnishings. So a strong hoover and a couple loads of boil washed laundry are essential. Flea infestations are one of those things where you really have to go to war with them, as they can reproduce in your carpets pretty quickly. by kalexcat (Sat 10th Apr 2021 4:54pm)
  • I recently had to get a hold of my wife's criminal record for my ongoing immigration case- I had her fill out a Subject Access Request and scanned it and sent it to police scotland with copy of id/ proof of address. I imagine something similar exists for stuff like this? I would have a look around on the police scotland website and shoot them an email if you cant find the relevant form/application.. by kalexcat (Thu 15th Apr 2021 9:23pm)
  • wife's a music producer- A major point in reducing noise pollution when working from a studio is to reduce the bass as much as possible, as thats the one you feel and goes through the walls more than the mids or highs. My wife can make music well into the night with no bother off the neighbours, as long as her bass is turned down. It isnt the best for mixing, but she can do that during the day. Noise pollution should be tolerated during the day, but after 10 pm and before 10am, it's your neighbour's responsibility to keep it down. Your neighbours will need to turn down the base (or volume at least) after 10pm and possibly move their sound system to a different room or wall. by kalexcat (Fri 16th Apr 2021 1:37am)
  • I know how you feel, I take my cat out in a pram to Queen’s Park and he loves it, and actually likes watching dogs from afar, but I have to be vigilant for dogs off the lead coming up to him. I don’t mind it in the sort of field area that used to be the mini golf area, like go ahead and give ur doggo a run and play fetch. But on the paths or in the woods I have to watch out. There was also that case of someone letting their husky eat a duck in front of a bunch of kids without intervening and that’s unacceptable. by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 12:13pm)
  • To be fair, I’m in the crossbill/govanhill area, but yeah, I’m that kind of crazy cat lady by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 12:49pm)
  • Yeah lmao πŸ˜…he was an outdoor cat for years but stopped going out (we moved to a busy street with a puny garden) so I got him a backpack, then upgraded to a pet stroller. I get weird looks, but he loves it and it’s a highlight of my day by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 12:51pm)
  • The pram has a cover that zips all the way up, and there’s a bit to clip onto a harness. The only time he’s ever made a run for it was right outside our flat cause he was busting for the toilet haha πŸ˜† it’s something you have to work up to, cats are really territorial so it’s scary to be somewhere new, so short walks to the same spot over and over again until they get used to it. Now we can unzip the top and let him poke his head out and he’s vibing. He has blankets inside so he can snuggle up or hide if a loud bus goes by. I don’t know if every cat would go for it, but he took to it immediately, and even chills in it at home! 10/10 by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 1:37pm)
  • Aw yay! Glad to be of assistance :) feel free to come up and say hello if you ever see us out, thunder loves making friends by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 1:43pm)
  • I do, but most people get rexcited or pleasantly surprised when they see him. I like seeing all the smiles as we go by by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 1:42pm)
  • I’ve seen ferret guy! by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 3:28pm)
  • My cat always hits the litter box like clockwork after he eats, so I usually give him lunch, wait for him to get out the litter box, then walk time. Sometimes I place him near his litter box to tell him to go, and usually he will haha by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 5:34pm)
  • Yeah, unless you keep the cat fully zipped into the pram or bag, the risk is always there. I never let him out of the pram unless we’re in a secluded place, and I’m always ready to scoop him up. (Usually my wife and I keep lookout in both directions and announce the presence of any incoming dogs) The few times I’ve allowed a well mannered dog to approach him in his pram, he’s given them a rapid ‘bop’ on the nose when they got too close. I’ve yet to have a dog even bark at him, most don’t even notice him. He has pretty good sense for danger, and will always let himself back in if he doesn’t feel safe. He spent most of his life as a die hard outdoor cat (we couldn’t keep him in no matter how hard we tried) so I consider this to be a lot less risky than when he was unsupervised out on his own. I especially watch out for certain breeds of dogs, terriers, basically anything with a noted prey drive, and am extra avoidant of them. It isn’t their fault they’re wired that way, and I’d rather not set them off. I had a nervous wee dog in highschool who didn’t handle other dogs well, so same rules apply really. I would like to take him to a bigger park like pollok, where we could maybe get a bit more space from other park goers, but it’s much farther away. by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 10:28pm)
  • second this, not a swinger myself but discovered a few venues/clubs that catered to them. by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 10:53pm)
  • hoh boy, the swans have a nest there! dog owners who do this are gonna have a bad time if the swans see them do that, especially when the cygnets hatch! swans dont fuck around by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 10:58pm)
  • See having a bag or pram does help over just the lead in that it gives the cat a safe space to hide and feel protected and concealed. My cat only wants out of the pram on the lead in the woods really, and if he gets spooked, he knows he has a safe spot to go to. plus theres loads of blankets for him to snuggle up under and hide. Cats feel fear when theyre out of their territory, so bringing a little bit of that territory out really helps. But i also feel like female cats are generally a bit more fearful than toms. We started on short walks in the backpack and worked our way up, it does take a bit of getting used to and building up their confidence, taking them to familiar places, etc. by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 11:05pm)
  • >catladyscatlady Aw yeah I know what you mean, I had to leave my baby that i had since I was 15 back home when I came here. I didn't know what my future was gonna look like and I couldn't justify dragging her across the ocean if she was happy and spoiled in the states. My sister's bff has her and her sister and it feels better knowing shes happy and loved. I'll never forget you moo kitty :( I totally know what that cat need feels like, my wife having a cat was definitely a plus when I started dating her. I try to take him out to the park every day if I can, but sometimes we skip a day. You can DM me if you'd like to arrange a meet up, or just spend your afternoons hunting us down in queens park like a rare pokemon by kalexcat (Sat 17th Apr 2021 11:20pm)

  • Oh my god no but that sounds hilarious! The one I seen was a lot of stock footage of families, and this soft spoken black woman sitting in like, an eyeglasses store? It was weird though, like is she an optometrist? Why are we here to talk about freedom of speech and family values lmao by kalexcat (Wed 21st Apr 2021 11:54am)

  • i had a friend experiencing psychosis go to the hospital multiple times, only to be turned away, even being sent out bare foot one time. We called for information on what to do, and we were told she needed to see her gp. She was kinda past the point of being able to do that, what with the full blown psychosis and all. She's better now, but i cant believe they let her walk out of that hospital unwell with no shoes. I feel like private is the best way to go for mental health, but it can be out of reach for many financially :( by kalexcat (Mon 31st May 2021 7:40pm)

  • sorry this is also a home recipe but banana's foster! you sauté banana with dark rum and sugar (and light the pan on fire in the process if you're a pro chef) serve in a pie crust or with whipped cream (or both). by kalexcat (Fri 4th Jun 2021 2:13am)
  • there are 1 bedrooms to rent for less than 700 for sure, you can find some for 550-650. I pay 650 for a "two bedroom" (really a 1.5 bedroom) in govanhill. I feel like the rental market goes in waves, like there will be loads of flats available for a couple of weeks, then nothing, then more come on the market. Try putting a flat wanted ad with your budget on gumtree or facebook groups, thats how i found mine. by kalexcat (Mon 7th Jun 2021 1:05pm)
  • contact shelter, citizen's advice, or Living Rent. this seems very fishy by kalexcat (Tue 8th Jun 2021 8:17pm)

  • Locavore- some stuff can be a bit dear but I think it's better than R+F. They do often mark stuff down and there's a free bin for unsellable (but sometimes salvageable) veg by kalexcat (Tue 15th Jun 2021 12:05am)

I really recommend joining a tenants union like Living Rent. its a couple of squid a month and they help you know your rights and help you if your rights are threatened by a letting agent or landlord. by kalexcat (Tue 6th Jul 2021 3:38pm)
  • You have a big case here! you should def get in touch with Living Rent by kalexcat (Tue 6th Jul 2021 9:13pm)
  • they move into the city bc there's not enough food in the ocean. The fishing industry is taking all their food so they have no choice but to come inland and scrounge around for rubbish. The solution long term is to stop eating fish, but I'm sure ill get downvoted for suggesting that. by kalexcat (Mon 19th Jul 2021 2:17pm)
  • I would try to find somewhere on a quiet street (like a dead end or something) and buy an air purifier for in the flat. Somewhere near a park or lots of trees could help too. Other than that, if you want significantly cleaner air you would have to go out into the country. by kalexcat (Mon 19th Jul 2021 3:11pm)

  • You are correct, its a working class neighbourhood. I used to live in Ibrox, which is near Govan and is sometimes considered part of Govan. I did not like Ibrox. Anything near the stadium will make you miserable every match day. (Imagine a drunk trump rally happening like once a month. replace trump with football.) I do like the elderpark area of Govan tho. So I guess it depends where in Govan. by kalexcat (Mon 26th Jul 2021 2:40am)

  • She's got long, curly dark hair and green eyes. (She doesn't just look irish, she's irish on her mom's and dad's side) Been called a f\*nian bastard loads of times. People str8 up try to fight her. Back when she had a shaved head in the 90s going thru airport security was a real hassle bc she kept getting profiled as IRA. by kalexcat (Tue 27th Jul 2021 1:09pm)

  • i'm not an expert, but i feel like I would wait bc parvo is no joke. I've seen a pal of mine carrying their puppy around in a little sling thing like a baby to get some outside socialisation/exposure without having direct contact with other dogs? I'm not super experienced with puppies (we have cats) so idk if thats an option but maybe someone else could confirm or by kalexcat (Fri 6th Aug 2021 5:02pm)

  • people have been so mean in this subreddit lately, idk whats up but anyway, the rent market seems fluctuate quite a bit every 3-6 weeks or so. Waiting it out seems like a good call. by kalexcat (Tue 10th Aug 2021 3:31pm)
  • Look, I get it, im from the states, people love their fireworks. But people set them off in open spaces there. Here people setting them off in their back gardens or in the streets. I seen one this fall nearly fly in someones window. Its ridiculous and pointless. why do you need to set off explosives for no reason lmao. birds and rabbits n shit literally die of fright from it. by kalexcat (Tue 10th Aug 2021 10:01pm)
  • The queens park area has loads of dogs, as queens park is a popular place to take one's dog. As far as pets go, you will just have to be up front about that and ask if anyone will make exceptions. I found my flat by putting a flat wanted ad up on gumtree with pictures of my cat included. Found a private landlord who was cool with it. You may get turned away from some places, but you'll find something. by kalexcat (Thu 12th Aug 2021 9:29pm)
  • when I placed an ad, it was about a year ago when there wasnt as much demand. but the market seems to change every 3-6 weeks or so, so dont lose hope xx by kalexcat (Thu 12th Aug 2021 10:13pm)
  • a train from queen street gets you in town really, really fast. But the trains dont run as often as the subway. by kalexcat (Sat 14th Aug 2021 3:43pm)
  • When my wife and I lived there she was at a lot of risk for transmisogynist abuse during match day. 90% of the time she was ok but she had to watch out when the rangers were out. Copland rd and paisley rd are the worst bits for this. We dont plan to ever move back to Ibrox bc we're sick of the place but the rent prices and transport prices may make it worth it for you. by kalexcat (Sat 14th Aug 2021 3:42pm)

  • Consider joining a tenants union like lving rent. they've been help to us when we've had similar issues. this is def not ok and needs addressed as black mould is dangerous by kalexcat (Mon 6th Sep 2021 8:19pm)
  • do you have a friend that has a cat? see if you can borrow some items the cat has been on, the smell alone can give mice a hint to f off. also steel wool in any cracks or holes they can get in. • isnt everyone old enough to go to jagged now? theyve started on teenagers now so by kalexcat (Fri 10th Sep 2021 7:05pm)
  • I made an ad looking for a flat where I straight up said I had cats. I was contacted by a landlord who was down and likes cats and thats where I am now. It doesnt hurt to answer ads that say no pets and ask if they would make exceptions, as sometimes they just say that but change their mind, or are more concerned with damage due to dogs. I also think you may have better luck with an unfurnished flat, as with furnished flats there may be more concern with cats scratching the furniture. I agree you may have better luck with a private landlord. Letting agents and private landlords alike can sometimes take you for a ride, so i recommend joining the tenants union Living Rent. For a couple of pounds a month they will have your back if anything goes sideways. I will never rent without being in a union. by kalexcat (Wed 15th Sep 2021 3:09pm)

  • I dont have small animals myself, but i do recommend the Roundhouse vet hospital in auldhouse. That's where our cat is registered, but as far as I know they do treat small animals. It's a pets n vets branch, so if theres a branch closer you can go there for check ups or pick her meds up there etc. They're open 24 hours, have an app for video appointments, a whole oncology and surgery department, a triage centre, etc. Any medication they didnt have on site they were able to order in in a timely manner. A phone consult is pretty cheap so you could book one and see if they are able to help your lil girl. best wishes to her xx by kalexcat (Fri 17th Sep 2021 6:24pm)
  • join flat/property facebook groups. If nothing else you may find a spare room to rent or people to buddy up with. by kalexcat (Fri 24th Sep 2021 11:04pm)
  • someone attempted to deliver a mattress to me the other day. Told them I never ordered one. The next day a delivery man came by and asked if I had taken a mattress in. Uh no, I sent it away cause I never ordered one? Sounds like someone was sleeping on the floor for a while :( by kalexcat (Wed 29th Sep 2021 7:40pm)
  • glasgow isnt as bad as the reputation it has, at least not anymore. One should always be aware of themselves, but I feel much safer here than other cities Ive lived in. by kalexcat (Fri 1st Oct 2021 5:58pm)
  • The other thing that no one's said yet is they were selling handcuff keys. If you get caught using them when arrested, the cops will absolutely clobber you and you will face much heavier consequences. They do warn this to potential buyers, but i think even selling them is very, very irresponsible. If you get arrested, there really isnt any point trying to escape at that point tbh. The cops will find you one way or another even if you do get away. Best just sit tight until you get legal help or released. by kalexcat (Sun 3rd Oct 2021 10:59pm)
  • Ive gotten my bridge done at Nirvana and it turned out great, so thats where I would go. by kalexcat (Sun 3rd Oct 2021 11:34pm)
  • ? by kalexcat (Mon 4th Oct 2021 3:19pm)
  • i mean there's fuck the police but there's also common sense. I have serious issues with how law enforcement works in most places (my homeland of the US of A in particular) but I'm not going to make things worse for myself by attracting negative attention from them or getting myself hurt. by kalexcat (Mon 4th Oct 2021 3:21pm)
  • well yeah, the police can hurt you no matter what, but as I said, resisting arrest, esp with a handcuff key is a one way ticket to getting your head bashed in. A handcuff key would not have saved her. by kalexcat (Mon 4th Oct 2021 6:10pm)
  • Police are police, but they are far better trained here, less armed, and generally better behaved than the ones state side. That being said, they are also very involved in infiltrating activist groups here, sometimes to the point of dating or having kids with activists whilst undercover for years. I really would not draw attention to myself by hanging around a place that advertises itself as being super lefty and anti-establishment unless you enjoy constant police surveillance. by kalexcat (Mon 4th Oct 2021 10:24pm)
  • I never said to trust them, I said to not make it worse for yourself. If you fight back, it gives them justification to beat the shit out if you. If you sit quietly in custody, they are more likely to not hurt you. My wife learned this the hard way in her teens. If she got mouthy with them they beat her. If she sat quietly and meditated in her cell, they were puzzled but left her alone. by kalexcat (Mon 4th Oct 2021 10:27pm)
  • no one ever said to trust the police? ffs by kalexcat (Tue 5th Oct 2021 2:45pm)
  • She reported the plaster dumped in the drain to environmental health and the flytipping to the council, with pictures and everything. Our close doesn't have a factor :( by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:02pm)
  • it costs £35 for the council to pick up 10 items. The landlord could easily pay that but he wont. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:24pm)
  • exactly right? did they think no one would notice? Once the carpets get wet and gross the council wont touch them. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:27pm)
  • I'll try to get a number plate pic, I doubt they have business cards as they don't seem very legitimate at all. I don't have high hopes for the council getting that involved as theyre totally bankrupt rn. Unfortunately I feel like slum landlords making a mess is pretty common in our neighbourhood and won't get any kind of special attention. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:33pm)
  • sure, but but that doesn't excuse the flytipping or the mess in the close, or the plaster in the drain or the way he speaks to others. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:38pm)
  • naw, it was straight, thick undiluted plaster. Lumps of it leading up to and in the drain. We wouldnt have cared if it was watered down. It wasnt, and that's the problem. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:54pm)
  • 1. I'm not a man. There's this called being gay, idk if you've ever heard of it 2. My wife has worked on building sites and in construction since her teens, she knows you dont leave the site a mess, let alone the communal space OUTSIDE the work place a mess. You sweep the scaffolding when you're done on a building site for fucks sake. These guys are complete cowboys who have no idea what they're doing. Would you have more respect for my wife if she was a man giving her opinion on construction practices? 3. We don't normally care about shit. Never make noise complaints, put up with all kinds of nonsense in our old close with people shooting up and leaving needles in it. God forbid we want a slum landlord to stop screwing renters over out of his own selfishness. 4. I am sick of landlords flytipping when they have the money to get things uplifted, then blaming the residents of the area. I live in an area that is regularly slagged off for how messy it is, blamed on the low income people living there, when its the landlords' fault. 5. I'm madder at the landlord than the builders, as I said, he's treating them like shit as well so I can't blame them for not giving a fuck. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 2:50pm)
  • Do you realise how sexist you sound mate? My silly little wife is just being a nag and mad about a kitchen? You would not say these things if she was a man. \`The carpet was flytipped not on his property. Right now landlords can only evict tenants if they claim they're moving in, it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't being honest about that. Either way, he was renting it up until recently, so yeah, he's a landlord. I promise you, we know the guy's an arsehole bc we've spoken to him before many times and he's insufferable. He was harassing the single mother up the stairs about something, and when we asked if she was ok, he answered for her. Constantly gives me the stink eye. Speaks down to everyone around him, treats his own building staff badly too. Idk why you wanna go to bat for him. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 3:01pm)
  • It's been several months. The issue is that it isn't limited to his property. The close itself is not a construction site, the lane is not his private dump, nor is the storm drain. Fine, he can have rubbish in his garden if he wants. Everything else is reported. I'm aware that the builders are inexperienced, as I said, they cannot operate a mop. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 4:23pm)
  • I've not been the one making the mess 😊 months of it has added up, it wont take 5 minutes any more. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 8:05pm)
  • We have spoken to them both I'm afraid, but they haven't taken it seriously at all. I have spoken to the neighbours I can speak to, and they are in agreement about it. The person I really need to get a hold of is the landlady above me. She paid to have the close repainted and repaired when she bought the flat, and hates fly tipping with a passion. Sadly she's never around, isn't currently renting the flat out, nor do I have her contact info. Otherwise she would have something to say about this, I'm sure of it. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 8:15pm)
  • Hmm good to know! I think it technically is on private property, (but not his property) as someone owns the land by the lane where it's dumped. So while the council won't pick it up, they may still take some kind of action against them. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 8:21pm)
  • I do hope to own a property one day, and plan to do work on it. Luckily my wife and I know how to use a broom and mop and wont flytip our construction waste. In fact, any of the DIY work my wife has ever done, she has always swept up any sawdust in the communal areas bc that's what you have to do. It isn't petty at all to expect people to clean up after themselves, you learn to do that in primary school! by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 8:26pm)
  • cheers xx by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 10:53pm)
  • Ah but see I have to use the close too... the only one who would get joy out of that sort of revenge would be my cat haha by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 10:55pm)
  • Some poor cunt gets hit by a bus and becomes disabled, that makes them a loser then? you ok mate? by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 11:03pm)
  • Actually, we plan to look into buying a property next year. We're just saving up. Do you have any other fantasies you want to project onto us, or have you finished? by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 11:02pm)
  • well, i guess you should have thought of that before you went and got yourself the autism, very loser thing to do that, you're upsetting the tories /s by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 11:05pm)
  • Read the edit at the top of my post babe, found some witnesses who seen them do it. I guess some people can be that dumb. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Oct 2021 11:19pm)
  • aye, everyone on a building sites know how to use a brush! I wouldn't hire anyone who didn't know how to use a brush or a mop, how could I trust them to do a good job if they can't operate the simplest tool in the kit? by kalexcat (Fri 8th Oct 2021 3:53pm)
  • Paisley or East Killbride? Both are short rides on the train and the rents are usually cheaper than glasgow. The good news is leases in Scotland are all month to month, so you can settle for whatever you can find now, then move again with only a month's notice once the rental market stops being bonkers. There are also facebook groups you can use to look as well. by kalexcat (Mon 11th Oct 2021 11:08pm)
  • Ugh I know this has been driving me mental. I've just been hoarding all my glass bottles until I find a new one :( its getting out of hand, the flats in govanhill arent big enough to hoard recycling in, its getting dire in here. by kalexcat (Tue 12th Oct 2021 4:11pm)
  • Maybe get in touch with Living Rent? by kalexcat (Wed 13th Oct 2021 11:57pm)
  • Call 111 right now. I know exactly how you feel, I've been there before. Please call. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 1:57am)
  • I was hearing them in the southside at 1 am. tf kinda holiday is this smh by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 3:12am)
  • Glasgow food not bombs is a great group that gives out free food *no questions asked.* A lot of food banks require means testing and that can still be a huge barrier to using them for people who genuinely need the help. There's an absence of recycling points, loads of rubbish and fly tipped waste, but fuck people with no food right? by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 9:43pm)
  • Broken mini fridges are easy to come by and seal completely when closed. The fridge is clean and all the bits in the back of the fridge with the "chemicals" are removed. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 9:49pm)
  • A lot of food banks require means testing and some people are too embarrassed to use them. Food not Bombs organisations exist in loads of cities and do a lot of good. All the food is tinned or unopened, I think it would be common sense to not eat anything that is open/tampered with. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 9:47pm)
  • How is UNOPENED packaged and tinned food in a sealed box unhygienic? Do you not understand how food works? by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 9:45pm)
  • I've seen those kids stand out in the pouring rain to give free food out to people. Why so bitter about people genuinely doing good things? When was the last time you did any volunteer work? by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 9:50pm)
  • How would it be the councils responsibility? They didn't put it there. And how often do you even hear of food being injected with stuff? The food is in tins and unopened packages. All the food that's sold these days have seals and other tamperproof packaging. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 11:28pm)
  • Is the risk not the same then for a food pantry or supermarket? When was the last time you heard of this even happening. All packaged food these days have tamperproof seals, its not 1970. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 11:26pm)
  • You do realise some people might resort to raking through bins if they're starving? That is far more likely to happen without this than the tampering with it. This unlikely risk doesn't outweigh the benefit for people in need. Lots of cities have these now. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 11:35pm)
  • Do people not remember that woman who literally starved to death over lockdown because the Home Office pulled her work visa and she ran out of options from charities? Something like this could have saved her life. Someone might have to resort to raking through bins if options like this arent available, which is far more dangerous IMO. I can't believe it's controversial to help people from starving. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Oct 2021 11:40pm)
  • This just in, giving away free food is racist bc someone on reddit said so? Man what a reach. Most of the time they give away free food in person, the pantry is just for when they aren't around. No, I don't volunteer with them. You are projecting the "political" shit onto this, there's no agenda behind making sure people get food for fucks sake. by kalexcat (Fri 15th Oct 2021 8:11am)
  • none of the items are perishable. by kalexcat (Fri 15th Oct 2021 10:27am)
  • There are a number of people who rely on Food not Bombs who can't use food banks for a number of reasons, means testing, immigration status, language barriers, etc. They usually hand out food in person but this was something to fill the gaps of when they arent there that has been used in loads of cities already, it's not like they're the only ones to try this. by kalexcat (Fri 15th Oct 2021 10:30am)
  • my wife cycles for ubereats and avoids mcdonalds like the plague. They never wrap things properly so they spill in her bag, they're super rude to delivery staff, and you get paid fuck all for the deliveries from there. by kalexcat (Sun 17th Oct 2021 7:22pm)
  • ive noticed it being a bit spotty lately! I'm deffos changing when my contract ends, they're a pain :( by kalexcat (Mon 18th Oct 2021 5:28pm)

  • My wife had it for a week and then I got it. Just got really congested and produced an unholy amount of snot. We've gone through so much loo roll in the past three weeks its unreal. We're both still blowing our noses. by kalexcat (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 12:41pm)
  • the st enochs place is still there last i checked, that's usually where I go. by kalexcat (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 12:52pm)
  • oh gosh yes, my poor little nose! it was chafed and red by the end of it :( by kalexcat (Sat 23rd Oct 2021 5:15pm)
  • the police dont really bother with small quantities anymore. The PF will not be very interested in spending loads of money+time to charge someone for a bit for a joint. The real interest is in grows, distribution of larger quantities and class As, acid especially. by kalexcat (Thu 28th Oct 2021 1:09am)
  • Coke is very popular at the moment so yeah, that too, but they can be pretty eager for acid, especially liquid acid. If you ever find someone asking loads of folk for where they can find "LSD", they're definitely a cop. by kalexcat (Thu 28th Oct 2021 1:37am)
  • have you ever had to pay for them? I cried the first time I got my meds for free, they were really expensive in my home country. There's nothing worse than being skint and having to choose between your psych meds and eating :( by kalexcat (Fri 29th Oct 2021 3:19pm)
  • I never said it was exclusively a scottish thing, I asked why people are setting them up n densely populated areas on nights where it isn't even the dedicated holiday for them? by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 7:28pm)
  • animals actually die of fright from this, you know. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 7:26pm)
  • dont even celebrate that holiday dude, american nationalism is cringe. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 7:33pm)
  • yes, because americans take to firing their guns (which every household has loads of) into the air every night from october first to new years. I have never touched a firearm in my life lmao by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 8:07pm)
  • ok cool, thanks for not doing that? what's your issue then? this wasn't me saying america is better, i hate that place. I'm just pissed my cat is being terrorised. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 8:22pm)
  • Right! Animals are helpless and dont understand. I can't explain to my cat that he's safe, he thinks its ww2 out there :( Im picking up a fuck ton of feliway diffusers tomorrow and blasting music from now until jan 10 to drown it out for him. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 8:25pm)
  • you know you can scroll past posts you arent interested in? We aren't dragging you kicking and screaming into this thread. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 9:23pm)
  • other animals and people are affected too my dude. My cat is not the only animal in the greater glasgow area. Mad, isn't it? by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 9:21pm)
  • I walk mine on a harness and lead about once a day round the lane n stuff. We were walking the other day and he heard one and just, immediately turned round and led me back to the flat haha. It'll have to be morning walks for a while, shame bc he prefers them at night. I hope ur boy gets to go out again soon too xx by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 9:29pm)
  • haha fair enough. I do love youse for it though ;) by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 9:25pm)
  • Loads of people care about other animals and people. I'm sorry you lack that empathy. you sound bloody miserable for it. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 9:31pm)
  • doesn't work that way. You gonna go out and "put in the work" with all the birds and squirrels and rabbits in the park? besides, some animals can't be trained or convinced out of it. Nevermind humans with ptsd, austim, etc. If you're not affected by it, no one should care eh? by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:08pm)
  • I agree with that to some extent, I'm not bothered by most noise, I grew up in a busy city with car alarms all night. Launching explosives every night for like, 3 months is not normal city noise. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:05pm)
  • god forbid I worry about my cat. it isn't like im responsible for his safety, health and happiness or anything. Or about any of the other animals scared shitless from this. I dont care for myself. I can handle loud noises. Others cant and thats the problem. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:10pm)
  • ... im not setting off explosives in my front garden? by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:40pm)
  • you like killing and terrorising small animals? some hobby that. by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:49pm)
  • it isn't cheap either. you're just burning like £30 at a time. why? by kalexcat (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:46pm)
  • i know, caring about small, defenceless little creatures. how selfish of me to want to protect them. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 11:22am)
  • you can be vegan on a budget without eating only chickpeas. Meat and cheese are way more expensive than veg. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 6:05pm)
  • Easiest thing with the biggest impact is giving up animal products. Went vegan for my wife 4 years ago when I moved in with her. It was surprisingly easy. There are so many good plant based options available now, especially in Glasgow. It is also way more affordable than people moan about. We've been pretty skint at times and never had any issues. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 6:04pm)
  • Depends. Often its actually not. Some vegan cheeses cost the same as dairy cheese or less. Asdas own vegan cheese is like, £1.50. Even Lidl has cheap vegan cheese now. You can get a block of tofu for £1.75 at sainsburys. The realistic meat alternatives are a novelty anyway, You dont *need* to buy them for every meal tbh. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 7:53pm)
  • that too! I avoid veg in plastic packaging as much as possible, I hate that shit lmao by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 7:50pm)
  • Depends what and where you buy. You can get frozen meat substitutes at Farm foods for like, £1. >50% of ocean pollution is plastic fishing nets, The best way to combat that is to not buy fish. People are absolutely to blame for this if they keep buying fish. Like, direct cause and effect here. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 7:55pm)
  • I try to buy local veg for this exact reason. I try not to buy stuff that got shipped round the world too often, cause thats bad too. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 8:28pm)
  • Yeah, tesco can be an absolute rip off. Last I paid £3 for a bag of frozen veggie meat balls that would have cost less than half that at farm foods n I'm still mad about it lmao. I would not consider farmed fish an option. my wife used to work at a fish farm a long time ago. The fish were sick, deformed and miserable. She used to have nightmares about them. Factory farms are bad for animals, period. You cant mechanise and commodify living things without seriously abusing them. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 8:26pm)
  • Love me a bit of locavore, but their produce is all I can afford out of there rn. Lidl has been doing good with this as well! Lots of local veg with no plastic. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 8:34pm)
  • aye, she was up in shetland at the time. said all the salmon were deformed with like, multiple heads and parasites and swam in a circle all day. I used to love salmon but I certainly don't miss it after hearing that. I don't watch animal abuse docs. I think they're great in that people need to know what's going on, and raise awareness for animal abuse, but I'm already vegan so I don't need convincing and I can't bear to watch them. I have cptsd from abuse I experienced as a child and animal abuse is really triggering for me. If you wonder why vegans have the reputation of being arseholes, its bc they're all traumatised from watching slaughterhouse videos and become really contemptuous of omnivores. I know I would be if I watched these kinds of videos. by kalexcat (Mon 1st Nov 2021 8:43pm)
  • i mean I literally am gay so that's not really an issue. by kalexcat (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 4:41pm)
  • I'm not a nationalist. period. I'm not against a bbq or whatever, but I'm not "proud" to be an american the way I was indoctrinated to be as a kid. I really don't agree with many of the things the country has done and continues to do. I'm not ashamed to be from there, because I have no choice in that, but I don't worship the flag. by kalexcat (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 7:02pm)
  • oh no it's totally fine, I've just never heard that one haha. I've been here for years and I'm still hearing new ones :) by kalexcat (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 7:06pm)
  • oh man, you're lucky for that. I've got some truly unhinged evangelical christian trump voting extended family. It's equal parts hilarious and terrifying. by kalexcat (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 8:12pm)
  • just fun to watch I guess. We're all bored stiff by kalexcat (Wed 3rd Nov 2021 12:01am)
  • I love foxes. I wish there was more we could do to give them a good life in the city, like set up little sanctuaries for them. It isn't fair for urban animals, they were here first. by kalexcat (Thu 4th Nov 2021 10:14am)
  • the entire point of striking is to strike when your work is needed most. If striking was convenient it wouldnt achieve anything. by kalexcat (Thu 4th Nov 2021 10:18am)

  • would if I could but my cat is scared shitless of them. Tail goes like a toilet brush, looks like he stuck a claw into socket. by kalexcat (Fri 5th Nov 2021 12:32am)
  • There were some fireworks last night in our neighbourhood, and we had some success playing music loudly while hiding the cat under the covers inbetween my legs. Seemed to work ok, gonna build him a proper blanket fort for tonight. The sounds scare him on their own, but seeing the lights out the window freaks him out even more. by kalexcat (Fri 5th Nov 2021 1:34pm)
  • ... what exactly did he do? The whole story isn't posted by kalexcat (Sun 7th Nov 2021 11:05pm)
  • my wife and I were getting our tickets at the booth in central after getting off a train when some guy who was here for COP 26 tried to rush in front of us, insisting he would miss his bus. Not in a nice way either, just pushed in front of me and demanded to be served. Our tickets were literally in the process of being printed. The woman in the booth told him he had to wait his turn. I grabbed our tickets and told him we were done. Like dude I get it u gotta go to ur important climate meeting or whatever but you coulda said please. by kalexcat (Tue 9th Nov 2021 1:36am)
  • true, whole thing coulda been on zoom. then he wouldn't be late! by kalexcat (Tue 9th Nov 2021 1:30pm)
  • >I am not against immigration or not really racist You cant say that then go on to say racist, xenophobic shit. I'm an immigrant too, and the financial barriers to immigration made the process really difficult. All I want to do is live here with my wife and the process has dragged out for years as we dont meet the income requirements. I'm better off than many having family that can help with legal fees and being white, but for many its even harder. I'm glad you have all that money to get it done the easy way but some of us are not so fortunate. You don't know anything about the immigration status of the people here. Some may be here due to human rights issues in their home country, others to be with family, some for work. Some may still be fighting for their right to stay the same as I am. What makes you think you are any better than these folks, because you're from canada and you're rich? Get real. Sex abuse, or any other bad behaviour is not specific to any one culture or race, it happens everywhere. Yes, even in the nice neighbourhoods, even by rich people (in fact, especially by rich people), even in canada. So as a "low class" (by your definition only) immigrant in govanhill, you can go fuck yourself frankly. • I bought a decent dehumidifer and it was a life saver for our tiny, damp flat. 10/10 would buy again, dries laundry really fast too! It was a Vax one and I got it on sale. I also use a sponge on a stick and vinegar to get the mould on my bathroom ceiling. by kalexcat (Thu 11th Nov 2021 10:36pm)
  • I didnt like it at all. No offence to any but some rangers fan act absolutely rabid. I never wanna live in ibrox again tbh. by kalexcat (Fri 12th Nov 2021 11:35am)
  • I know two people who work in clubs who have had people been spiked and one claims to have seen someone jagged. wasn't able to get details but was p gobsmacked to hear it as I thought it was legend as well. by kalexcat (Sat 13th Nov 2021 3:48pm)
  • i mean, i would sooner assume they were mistaken than lying. I dont take them to be liars tbh. As I said, i didn't get the chance to probe for details. by kalexcat (Sat 13th Nov 2021 8:19pm)
  • I hope you are right. drink spiking has always been a thing though, that's not new. by kalexcat (Sat 13th Nov 2021 8:42pm)

  • sorry to hear that. Hope you find another option. by kalexcat (Sun 14th Nov 2021 4:08pm)
  • Just a heads up, sometimes zoom therapy is cheaper if you are ok with it. It also opens up your options to outside the city. I see a therapist in dundee over zoom for £50 when it's £75 to see her in office. Plus I get to sit on my bed in my jammies to do it instead of hiking into town to sit in an office. Aside from that, you should narrow down what kind of therapy you're looking for/what issues you need treated. Then between that and your budget, you can start booking consultations and see if there's any you get on with. As far as I remember, there were some counselors available at First Psychology for £40 a session, but you may be wanting something more specialised or specific. by kalexcat (Sun 14th Nov 2021 7:42pm)
  • yadgar in govanhill does some pretty cheap dhal and curries. definitely a go to when we want a takeaway but our wallet doesnt haha by kalexcat (Wed 17th Nov 2021 3:33pm)
  • I think it's just hit or miss tbh, they're well underfunded so the quality control is a bit lacking. My name is still spelled wrong on my council tax and the letters I've gotten sometimes have typos. by kalexcat (Thu 18th Nov 2021 2:53pm)
  • ok, i'll try and get that amended the next time I have to be in touch with them. by kalexcat (Thu 18th Nov 2021 4:50pm)
  • they'll start to move inside in the winter. I've kind of made peace with the fact that the wee guys will show up now and again, at least where there's mice there wont be rats. Just keep your food sealed in containers for now and wipe the counters down in the mornings. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Nov 2021 12:37pm)
  • have you tried just downloading the passport online? I do that instead of the app as my phone is broken atm. by kalexcat (Sat 20th Nov 2021 12:48pm)
  • I knew someone who threw a small ceilidh in the back room of the flying duck, so maybe that would be an option. EDIT: congrats on your wedding! by kalexcat (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 3:22pm)
  • It's more of a bar than a pub, but Super Bario is good fun and only a short walk away. (Its just off argyle street) They've got loads of old school arcade games (hence the name) I've only been there once but it's fun if you're out with friends. I also recommend stereo, its usually where the missus and I go if we're in town. by kalexcat (Wed 24th Nov 2021 5:50pm)
  • There's a techno night on at Lacheetah on Thursday called Rush.. Not sure what's on this Friday though sorry by kalexcat (Thu 25th Nov 2021 4:15am)

  • good point. damn this victorian city :P by kalexcat (Tue 30th Nov 2021 12:53am)
  • some can live with other cats, especially kittens. You could try contacting shelters directly and they could maybe put you on a waitlist. You could also try Pets4homes. by kalexcat (Fri 3rd Dec 2021 6:39pm)
  • I think you should just try and talk to them first, drop a letter by if you're too shy. Asking nicely is always a good start, sometimes if you escalate before taking the first step people can take it poorly. They may not be aware of how loud they are being and may be able to make adjustments to their set up/plans to accommodate you better. by kalexcat (Sun 12th Dec 2021 3:25pm)
  • If you contact the council about it they may reimburse you for the damage. I knew a guy who said he broke a shoe on a pothole and the council paid for the shoe's repair. by kalexcat (Mon 13th Dec 2021 6:22am)
  • The vans used to be fronts for drugs, some still may be dealing. There was something called the "Ice cream van wars" in the 80s where competing ice cream van heroin dealers were at war and it got ugly. My wife, a child at the time, couldn't understand why people's houses were getting firebombed over ice cream. by kalexcat (Mon 13th Dec 2021 1:22pm)
  • My wife is 20 years older than me haha, best level that complaint at her by kalexcat (Mon 13th Dec 2021 3:47pm)
  • I picked up an ok-ish one for court at primark. not the nicest but got the job done. by kalexcat (Tue 21st Dec 2021 6:54pm)
  • I did CBT for OCD symptoms a few years back. Helped a fair bit. I found the best way to go about it is just book consultations with private therapists and see who you vibe with. Finding a therapist is a bit like dating. You aren't obligated to keep seeing someone if they arent a good fit, so don't be afraid to shop around. Some practicioners also do sliding scale payment or other accommodations if you're skint. I also found that being on meds helped lessen my anxiety (which manifests in obsessive thinking) so your first call could be to your gp to try an anti-depressant. (That also takes some trial and error as well to get the right one for you) by kalexcat (Tue 21st Dec 2021 8:52pm)
  • I got u fellow broke vegan! No idea what you like to eat for breakfast or lunch but I will share my tips. First of all, Glasgow Food Not Bombs does free vegan meals no questions asked and give away vegan food items. They set up Sunday afternoons in queens park, and i think sometimes in the west end as well. If you DM them on instagram, some volunteers may be able to provide you some food if you ask. Go to asian supermarkets to buy rice, onions, potatoes, gram flour, soya mince, soya chunks and beans/lentils in bulk. This is also the cheapest place to buy nuts, especially if you buy broken ones. If you buy chickpeas in the jar, you can blend those up with tahini to make a cheap and easy hummus. Gram (chickpea) flour can be used to make burmese tofu, add protein to pancake batter, etc. good thing to have on hand. Pasta can also be purchased in bulk for cheap at lidl and asda. Buy reduced bread and keep it in the freezer. If you take non-dairy milk in your coffee, the cheapest thing is to buy a tin of coconut milk and dilute it. Higher in sat fats, sure, but works out cheaper than cartons of plant milk. Sure you can make your own oat milk with cheap bags of oats, but I find it a hassle. If you have the time and patience though, that's even cheaper. Farmfoods has lots of deals on frozen vegan food, like soya mince, nuggets etc. Usually some kinda multi-buy deal. Frozen peas are a great way to get your protein in for cheap. Also cheap oven chips n stuff. Can easily make your own, cheap sausage rolls with puff pastry and the vegan sausage or filling of your choice. If you have the time and enjoy spending it in the kitchen, pick up some flour and yeast and make pizza dough. it's easy and v cheap and pizza so yay. A bit more time consuming but you can make your own dumplings as well with cabbage/mushroom filling. Flour can also be used to make chapattis, pancakes, etc. One of my wife's favourite budget meals is okonomiyaki, or in english, a cabbage pancake. I add chopped cabbage to a basic pancake batter then add that to whatever protein or veg I have on hand. If you like a bit of mock meat, you can pick up a big bag of vital wheat gluten from quality vitamins and herbs in town and make your own seitan. way cheaper than buying it. They also have bags of bulk soya mince and sausage mix you can buy. Locavore has free bins for produce that is damaged or too ripe to sell, so you can scrounge around in there for free bits and bobs for soup or curries. Also agree with the suggestion for community pantries and food boxes. by kalexcat (Tue 21st Dec 2021 9:44pm)
  • i dont have experience with this directly, but the terms you want to search for are "biohazard cleaning", "trauma cleaning" or "crime scene cleaning" services. Obvs not a crime scene or body you're dealing with but these kinds of businesses regularly deal with hoarding situations and would have the training and equipment to help you. by kalexcat (Wed 22nd Dec 2021 4:28pm)
  • I got mine yesturday, no queue, got it done 5 min early. by kalexcat (Tue 28th Dec 2021 10:14am)

  • PEOPLE! This page is referring to home PCR tests, not lateral flows. So saying you got 5 boxes of lats at the trains station has nothing to do with this. OP I usually have success getting PCRs done at the Crossmyloof testing centre. by kalexcat (Thu 30th Dec 2021 2:28pm)
  • Suissi Vegan Asian Kitchen, Dumpling monkey, V&V cafe, Ka Pao, Ashoka, the 78, there are more but I'm not in the west end often these days by kalexcat (Thu 30th Dec 2021 6:11pm)
  • if it makes you feel any better, my cat is ready to down all the catnip in the house and cry too. The fireworks are driving him mad. :( Hope you feel better soon xx by kalexcat (Sat 1st Jan 2022 12:39am)
  • I hope you get your situation sorted, sounds like a nightmare. They did something similar to a friend of mine, completely sabotaged a job he was gonna get (dont remember the details) AND outed him as trans to the same job. Nice one. by kalexcat (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 12:53am)
  • as for your first point, I believe some charities collect bags for using to distribute food items or other things, can't for the life of me remember any specific ones. Could try contacting food banks or mutual aid groups like food not bombs to see if they need them. I know roots and fruits give out used plastic bags instead of new ones, so you may be able to drop them off at one of their stores for them to use? You could pop in or send an email and ask if they want them. by kalexcat (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 2:21pm)
  • they arent involved with brewdog, but there have been similar issues with a toxic work environment at brew dog, among other things. try williams bro. instead. by kalexcat (Fri 7th Jan 2022 5:09pm)
  • Yeah they arent a small craft brewers anymore; they do some small craft batches you don't find in supermarkets, but their main supermarket products are mass produced. Some of us can't afford to pay £5 a bottle big man. by kalexcat (Fri 7th Jan 2022 10:50pm)
  • Pawn shops like cash converters usually have them, there's also a charity shop in battlefield called kinder handl that usually has a lot of different things including sports equipment. by kalexcat (Sun 9th Jan 2022 4:14pm)
  • My wife and I love a good late night trip to the asda to buy some munchies and kick about looking at what new garden gnomes or whatever shit they have in stock. For a while during quarantine that was our only date night activity. A romantic, midnight food shop haha. by kalexcat (Sun 9th Jan 2022 11:23pm)
  • I heard the other week that the glasgow central mosque had availability (I got mine by appointment but there was no queue) It may depend on how busy they are but if you swing by to check you may get one if they're not busy. by kalexcat (Mon 10th Jan 2022 11:51am)

  • Psychiatrists are the only ones that can offer official diagnosis. A psychiatrist is literally just a psychologist with a medical degree. dont give advice if you don't actually know what you're talking about. by kalexcat (Tue 11th Jan 2022 5:17pm)
  • I had a therapist recommend Purple House Clinic if I wanted to get assessed privately, but I ended up getting a diagnostic write up from Independent Psychiatry for my immigration case (they do legal write ups/consulting but regular assessment as well.) by kalexcat (Tue 11th Jan 2022 5:20pm)
  • In my experience, psychiatry is always pretty dear, especially the initial appointment, Once you get your diagnosis you could may be able to see a psychologist for regular appointments. I would recommend being honest about financial limitations as well, many mental health professionals will try to help you access the help as best they can. I have received both discounts and delayed payment options from therapists in the past. by kalexcat (Tue 11th Jan 2022 5:25pm)
  • I was desperate enough to sign a lease agreeing to a rent increase of £20 every year :( hopefully we'll move again before the flat gets too expensive. by kalexcat (Wed 12th Jan 2022 12:29am)
  • I don't want to eat somewhere where the owner has no concerns for health and safety, not where food is involved. What if workers are pressured to come in when sick? Do you want a coughed on burger? by kalexcat (Thu 13th Jan 2022 9:29pm)
  • mice seem to move in during the winter. nice and toasty in your walls. by kalexcat (Fri 14th Jan 2022 5:01am)
  • I would recommend contacting an immigration solicitor. I'm using Latta & Co. solicitors for my immigration case. My heart goes out to you, I know very well how difficult the Home Office is, I've been trying to get my new visa for three years now and the Home Office has made it very difficult to do. by kalexcat (Fri 14th Jan 2022 5:08am)
  • how long have you been living there? you may have some rights as a tenant even if you arent on the lease. Any proof of address like bank statements, bills or doctors letters? In addition to citizen's advice I would also contact shelter or living rent. Else fails wait outside his gaff with some pals and pressure him to hand the stuff over. by kalexcat (Fri 14th Jan 2022 9:20pm)
  • I would gather a few pals when you have a day free and just camp out. wait till he's on his way back from the shops or something. by kalexcat (Fri 14th Jan 2022 9:29pm)
  • Cats protection has more cats than they list on their website, I think you may need to contact them directly. Same may be true with SPCA, for some reason a lot of rescues never post all the cats. I know people who have lived in flats and adopted from cats protection, so it's not as if they won't do it ever. I live in a flat but walk my cat out the back lane in a harness and take him to the park in a backpack/pet stroller so there's definitely ways to get outdoor access to cats besides having a house with a garden. by kalexcat (Sat 15th Jan 2022 3:29pm)

  • My wife and I saw several bright lights shoot by with a "pop" noise a week or two ago at like 6 am. pink and green lights that shot downward from the sky, like a shooting star or something. It lit up our bedroom. (govanhill) I cant think of what on earth it could have been, anyone else see that or have we lost the plot? by kalexcat (Mon 17th Jan 2022 12:00am)
  • for anyone reading this with a bed bug issue: diatomaceous earth. It shreds them the f up but is safe for humans and animals. Found one a while back and and freaked the f out, covered all the base boards in it, used plastic bins and talcum powder to make little anti-bed bug moats around each leg of the bed (with double stick tape on the legs for good measure) washed and hoovered everything, covers on all the mattresses. Never seen another one or had any signs since. Unfortunately densely populated victorian buildings are ideal for them as they can chill out in wee cracks and in the walls. A bit like flea infestations as you really gotta go to war on the fuckers. Always check round the bed for wee black dots, that's the sign they're havin a munch on you. The sooner you act the better, they multiply fast. tldr: bomb the place in diatomaceous earth, make fortress around bed, good luck. by kalexcat (Mon 17th Jan 2022 9:37am)
  • oh yeah, if the neighbours have them and dont get them treated it wont resolve the issue, that's true for any pest (roaches, etc.) I figured you had already tried everything, my comment was just a general PSA by kalexcat (Mon 17th Jan 2022 8:20pm)
  • Used to live in ibrox and my wife got absolute dogs abuse off ranger's fans bc she's Irish on her dad's side and it shows (dark, curly black hair and green eyes.) i've had to hold her back from drunk bams calling her 'f\*nian bastard' so she didn't bash their heads in. Had a neighbour from austraila accidently wear a green coat to the shops on match day and they got harassed over it. This shit is rife, and while secterians in glasgow are bad enough for it, a lot of the worst of it comes from the busloads of people who come into town for match day. It's absolutely ridiculous that they're allowed to do this shit to people, especially on the subways on match day. by kalexcat (Wed 19th Jan 2022 8:47pm)

  • I mean it's a bit unusual for the UK, but pretty normal in some other places. Usually in the states you have a little folder with a slot for your card that the waiter takes to the back. by kalexcat (Wed 26th Jan 2022 11:51am)
  • honestly I see a trauma therapist privately over zoom. Getting any kind of mental health service can be a waiting game and an uphill battle so I wouldn't recommend it unless you couldn't afford private. I don't say that to encourage anyone NOT to seek help if you need it, as there are things the GP can do for you like prescribe meds, put you on waitlists for specialists, and keep record of your mental health issues. I've just always preferred to go private when I could afford to so I could pick a therapist I got on with and could see immediately and regularly. Many private therapists will offer options regarding payment if needed. I pay less than £50 a session after my therapist gave me a discounted rate due to my financial circumstances. In the past I have also done therapy fortnightly instead of weekly to cut costs. by kalexcat (Wed 26th Jan 2022 3:38pm)
  • I'm quite crafty (with my useless fine art's degree from a very flammable school) and would fix it for free if you'd like! If you want to take a stab at it yourself, I recommend either using super glue with a pinch of bicarb in the joints (bicarb acts as a super glue accelerant and strengthens the join) Or brushing acetone along the breaks (acetone melts plastic and you can join two pieces of plastic together that way, a lot of people use that technique when building lego sculptures.) by kalexcat (Wed 26th Jan 2022 10:58pm)
  • can you report them to the SLCC? I had to do that to get a refund when Jones Whyte fucked my immigration case :( by kalexcat (Sat 29th Jan 2022 1:57pm)

  • My wife says that at this time many glaswegians were still living like they did in victorian times, ie. kids running around barefoot with dirt and soot on their faces. by kalexcat (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 12:54pm)
  • you may want to schedule an eye check at spec savers if you didn't realise these were photographs. by kalexcat (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 3:34pm)
  • wasn't the edinburgh we have now built on top of the grounds of the medieval one? by kalexcat (Wed 9th Feb 2022 4:17pm)
  • honestly prefer glasgow to edinburgh anyway. The people are a bit meaner there and there's something that just feels off about it, maybe it's just a bit too put together. Can't put my finger on it. But then again I grew up in NYC which is arguably a very, very stinky city, second only to maybe Akron Ohio (tire plant nearby, constant smell of burning rubber) by kalexcat (Wed 9th Feb 2022 4:21pm)

My dad once went on a night out with a mormon guy that consisted of getting a high quality hot chocolate haha. by kalexcat (Sun 13th Feb 2022 8:17pm)
  • Many club nights my wife and I go to/work at seem pretty mixed age wise (Berkley suite, La cheetah, Poetry Club, SWG3 etc.) I mean as long as you're not going to like, firewater you'll be fine. I think the more important question is what kind of music you like? The same venue can have very different crowds for different events. I would recommend looking at club's social media pages and seeing what nights are on and picking ones that way. If you like Disco, my wife recommends Melting Pot if its still on. Generally is an older crowd. by kalexcat (Mon 14th Feb 2022 2:19am)
  • Clubs are still playing that good 90s club music, you aren't going to the right club nights. Lots of banging techno and hardcore to be had. Glasgow is full of clubs that play that kind of music. by kalexcat (Mon 14th Feb 2022 2:21am)
  • my wife's record box/memory stick is like entirely 90s underground house/techno. Same with a lot of our other DJ pals. I literally don't go to club nights that play anything else. (unless i'm working, in which case I get what I get) by kalexcat (Mon 14th Feb 2022 7:02pm)
  • I managed to get a date at city chambers that's the same day as nyc pride (ie. the og pride) so i never forget about my extra gay marriage haha by kalexcat (Mon 14th Feb 2022 11:47pm)
  • Believe there's an exotic shop in both edinburgh and paisley if you wanna take them on the train (if they have any in stock). I picked up my giant land snails from a guy rehoming them in edinburgh and took them home in my wife's insulated ubereats bag with some heat packs in it haha. worked a charm, they were very comfortable during their ride home. by kalexcat (Mon 14th Feb 2022 11:50pm)

  • I've got terrible muscle tension/nerve pain from ptsd. Turns out jabbing needles in those nerves helps. Literally felt like I had a whole new back the last time I done it. Not that my chronic pain issues are any of your business tho. by kalexcat (Wed 16th Feb 2022 2:27pm)
  • It was covered by my insurance when I was in the US, good to know it can be covered here. I'll try and have a chat with my Dr first about my pain issues and see what other options can help as well, thanks xx by kalexcat (Wed 16th Feb 2022 2:46pm)
  • they put you and your witnesses in separate rooms and explain everything. then you get together, do the vows, and sign the paperwork. Apparently you are meant to bring a song as well, we didn't and the clerk picked one for us and played it on a speaker while we signed the documents. It was awkward and cheesy but still pretty sweet. by kalexcat (Fri 18th Feb 2022 2:24pm)

That's the most I can think of off the top of my head, I'm a bit of a clubber myself so I don't have loads to recommend that suits your request, but if you make it to a few events you could find more via word of mouth or social media. by kalexcat (Tue 22nd Feb 2022 4:16am)
  • Thank you so much for your continued efforts to help these kids. by kalexcat (Tue 22nd Feb 2022 4:48pm)
  • As long as you arent doing it in the middle of the night it should be fine, think anything before 11pm and after like 10am is fine noise wise. You can also be strategic about where you do it, if you know the rough layout of other people's gaffs you can avoid doing things above or below people's bedrooms. For example, I couldn't do laundry late at night in my old flat bc our kitchen was above a bedroom and it would keep people up, but now my kitchen is above another kitchen and we both do laundry at night with no issue :) Part of living in an urban environment is noise pollution, if people want total silence they should move to the country. If it becomes an issue, you could maybe find out your neighbour's schedule and work around that. One can rent workshops or studios, if you have a couple extra quid a month. • I'm a girl and I got turned away at garage years ago for being alone, it's not bc they think you're creepy, its bc they don't want you getting pished with no friends to help you home. What music do you like? bc that should really be what determines what club or event you go to. Different nights at the same club can have wildly different music styles and crowds. I would recommend perusing club's social media pages (berkley suite, la cheetah/room 2, sub club etc.) and see if there's anything on at the weekend (or through the week) that interests you. You should have no issues getting into these clubs unless the event is sold out, you show up visibly steaming or pick a fight with the bouncers or something like that. by kalexcat (Sat 26th Feb 2022 6:45pm)

They could easily be giving the dog puzzle toys or something inbetween walks to keep them entertained but I'm inclined to agree with your suspicions that they arent getting proper walks either. I would call SPCA on them, maybe at least get a visit and and a talking to from them about proper dog care. by kalexcat (Wed 9th Mar 2022 5:27am)

  • I don't get why people live in tenements if they can't handle like, basic human noise. Like sure if people are taking the piss blasting music at 4am or having domestics but average people living sounds are *normal* in apartments and urban areas. Same as cars driving by or birds chirping. Like what are you meant to do, slide across the floor instead of walking? Dude should move to the country if he can't handle apartment life. by kalexcat (Tue 15th Mar 2022 10:56am)

  • Get on the sandyford gender clinic list asap, it's a long wait I'm afraid. Which if you aren't sure, will give you time to be sure at least. Most people I know scrape together/fundraise for the money to go private bc they can't wait. My wife gets treated by the gender clinic (after several years wait) and while her doctor there is very nice, we've had a number of issues with her care. Thankful to have it yes, but it's very obvious how different her medical needs are treated compared to others. by kalexcat (Tue 5th Apr 2022 10:55am)
  • unfortunately, being blood related to someone is no guarantee that they will have your best interest at heart or be qualified to help. issues like child/elder abuse, mental/physical illness or decline, etc. absolutely need 3rd party help. Many people who need help don't get it bc their family wants to "keep it in the family" or keep it private and people suffer as a result. I agree that having a strong community/support system is vital and isolation from that is awful, and the services available can be faulty or lacking too, but the former is not a substitute for the latter in some situations. by kalexcat (Thu 7th Apr 2022 8:05pm)
  • Where exactly did you go? bc LGBT people arent a monolith and there are many different events in the city where different people go. I for one have never been to Polo or Katies and don't plan to anytime soon. Do you like clubbing? Bc the nights I recommend for that would be Shoot Your Shot, Hot Mess, DILF (if you're a gay guy obvs) There's a new night on tonight at Berkley Suite called Ministry of Pound, it's like a queer kinky kinda night. If you're looking for a gay bar, I recommend Bonjour over any of the merchant city bars. If you're looking for something outside nightlife, I recommend looking at Glasgow Autonomous Space, they often have LGBT events on, so have a look at their schedule on their website. TLDR: some of us are nice, you just haven't found us yet ;) by kalexcat (Fri 8th Apr 2022 6:27pm)

  • Ik everyones kidding on in the comments but thanks for the PSA. I don't do gear and don't recommend anyone do but I know loads who do. While amphetamines are commonly found as an additive to coke (no one gets pure cocaine these days unless you're a literal drug lord) the fentanyl is the worrying thing. Would honestly recommend that anyone using random car drops for drugs look into what they've got before taking. Either with a testing kit or, if it's an ecstasy pill, identifying the pill by it's stamping plate/colour and looking it up on pill report. Mislabeling of drugs is an issue you've brought up, but dosing can be as well, so even if you got the drug you were after you should make sure you know the strength/quality so you can dose appropriately. Quality/strength can fluctuate due to changes in the supply chain. by kalexcat (Mon 11th Apr 2022 12:10am)
  • yeah anytime I meet a coke dealer that is nice (which is rare) I get real worried for them bc of who they might have to work with. It's a very different industry compared to weed or psychedelics. by kalexcat (Mon 11th Apr 2022 10:40pm)
  • You can either buy a collar that says "DO NOT FEED", or just be in contact with the neighbour and make sure you're on the same page about feeding, etc. I had a problem when my boy free roamed and went upstairs; our upstairs neighbour was a "friend" that we didn't always get on with. My wife had an agreement that he only got biscuits upstairs at hers but she started feeding him wet food, then she insisted she knew better than our vets when he had health issues and was noncompliant with his treatment. Wouldn't stop feeding him or feed him the prescribed food for his allergies, even when we offered to provide it, even tried to catnap him once. So make sure he's microchipped with you as the owner as well in case that happens. We moved and now he's harness trained bc I'm scared of him being hurt or catnapped, and bc of his food allergies I don't want anyone giving him stuff that will trigger it. by kalexcat (Tue 12th Apr 2022 5:18pm)
  • I would maybe look into cat rescue/foster groups on facebook? There's also gumtree and Pets4Homes. Ultimately you'll need to do your own due diligence to make sure they're going to a good home. I do want another cat but I have one already. If there's fighting you probably want to rehome as a single cat, as they could end up back in the same situation again with the fighting. by kalexcat (Thu 14th Apr 2022 12:28pm)

  • Get in touch with Living Rent or Shelter, wish we woulda done that years ago. My wife used to rent a flat from Property4U; the only thing worse than the state of the flat was the disposition of the agents. The previous tenant had done a runner and my wife ended up spending months cleaning it up, including scrubbing human faeces off the walls. Holes in the walls, leaky windows, black mould, nonfunctioning plumbing, rats, no buzzer for the close. If we had known then what we know now we could have probably taken them to the cleaners. Think it's like 3 bucks a month to join Living Rent and they'll help you. Never renting without a union again. Take pictures of everything. by kalexcat (Mon 25th Apr 2022 3:20pm)
  • My wife has been chased by aggressive drivers multiple times. The other day one swerved onto the cycle path, got mad at her, and chased her in the car to run her down. There was a whole lot of screaming, cussing, and threats along with her being followed so i don't think she was being delusional about that, that shit is pretty straight forward. My wife isn't a liar, and doesn't like dealing with police so she wouldn't if she didn't feel like it was a public safety issue. But live in your own fantasy if you like. That's your choice. by kalexcat (Sun 1st May 2022 11:56am)

  • Doesn't need to be the weekend, but at least wednesday or thursday for best results for clubbing. If you have the option to swap for a weekend you should, as i've noticed less activity through the week at clubs lately, but this is most likely due to students finishing finals and the financial problems of late, so may be less of an issue come july. by kalexcat (Sat 28th May 2022 10:38am)
  • the council is practically bankrupt. They cant afford to send a guy to your place to pick up a single microwave for free. £35 is for 10 items, not one. so it works out to £3.5 an item if you have 10 items. In your case, for six items you're paying around £5.8 per item. You will just have to wait until you have enough items to uplift for it to be worth it instead of immediately throwing things away as they break. A mild inconvenience for you but the alternative is no longer viable. the free uplift was nice when we had it but literally no other council does it for free. by kalexcat (Wed 8th Jun 2022 7:14am)
  • just wait until you have multiple items to throw out. by kalexcat (Wed 8th Jun 2022 7:15am)
  • my flat is tiny and I put up with it, sucks but it's life. You could maybe ask others in your close if they want to chip in for a bulk uplift together. I feel like there are bigger problems that need attending to here, like people are literally starving and you're mad you have to keep an old ironing board in your closet. The real issue with flytipping is from shitty landlords anyway, who can afford removals for the belongings of the evicted but are too cheap to pay for it. It does matter that the council is bankrupt, otherwise how would they do it? Obviously the council shouldn't be so skint in the first place, and should manage their money better but I can't just wish for it and make it happen. I absolutely agree that the recycling system is not up to a good standard and ideally should be changed, but there's what's ideal and what is feasibly possible. by kalexcat (Wed 8th Jun 2022 1:30pm)
  • My wife has had this happen a couple of times with aggressive drivers, except that they went on to chase her and attempt to run her down in one case, she reported both times to the police and they were keen to hear about it and follow up to track them down. People telling you to just move on don't think about who it could happen to next, maybe someone more vulnerable or young who wouldn't be equipped to handle a fight. by kalexcat (Thu 9th Jun 2022 5:37pm)
  • in addition to a camera you should get a D lock for your bike if you don't have one already. Makes a very good and intimidating self defence weapon when you swing it around. She usually just outcycles the pursuing car and hides but has swung her lock around before and scared off a would be attacker. by kalexcat (Thu 9th Jun 2022 5:57pm)

  • Hi, I'm currently going through this with a cat I'm rescuing from Egypt. She will have to fly in the hold, and at London Heathrow she will stay in the HARC (Heathrow Animal Reception Centre) There she will stay in a climate controlled kennel and get her needs met (water, bathroom etc) You wont be able to pick her up from the HARC yourself, as only DEFRA approved couriers can pick up animals from there. As DEFRA transport to Glasgow will be too expensive on your own (I'm sharing a pet taxi with several other rescues) You should try and get transport to a pet friendly hotel in london or straight to the train station. From there get the train up, either in a carrier or if you get a Caledonian Sleeper train, you can get a pet friendly room and let her roam around in that. If you need any more advice, I recommend messaging "9 Lives Scotland-Cat Rescue without Borders" They have been in touch with me regarding my adoption as I, a fellow american, was also very confused by this whole process. Best of luck to both of us! by kalexcat (Sun 26th Jun 2022 9:34pm)

So idk if it's just Glasgow or people moving to the UK in general, my sister is going to go for one of those visas but plans to stay in the London area. • Here’s an idea. Hang a few kettlebells around your neck for about 15 years and see how your back feels. Big breasts can literally give women hunch backs (google dowagers hump) I too appreciate a nice set on a woman but it’s downright cruel to prioritise that over her comfort. Her arm was out of its socket when we started dating, she had surgery to put it back in a few months into our relationship. This was in like 2018. Her arm was still technically usable but it was uncomfortable and made her work difficult for her. It’s not like I’m grifting for money here, why would I lie? by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 3:19pm)
  • Yeah I would need to lose like 3 stone. I’m not even obese. BMI doesn’t account for muscle either. I’ve been putting on lots of muscle at the gym and I don’t want to lose my progress to meet the bmi requirements only to be rejected anyway :( by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 3:22pm)
  • Hmmm I’ve not heard of that! Thanks for sharing your experience :) by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 3:27pm)
  • I am a female with Hcups. Weight loss would help a bit (working on that duh) but it’s mostly genetics I’m fighting against. by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 3:26pm)
  • Yes! The under boob chafing is real. Always get red rashes underneath. I apply powder under them to minimise the issue but it’s not a complete fix. by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 6:56pm)
  • I didn’t make it up wtf. Because she was in her 40s and didn’t do a sport that needed her arms they didn’t consider it essential. She had to beg and insist that she needed it for work. Her arm was still “usable” but caused her occasional discomfort/pain. Her one arm hung lower than the other and her shoulder sloped down on the one side. She eventually got approval for surgery and they put it back in and put a metal plate in her shoulder. Again, why would I lie about this? What exactly am I gaining here? by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 7:03pm)
  • Honestly I’ve considered taking them off fully too, especially bc they can only take so much off during a reduction. Unfortunately I think I need to get a written ok from a psychologist to get them fully off, at least that’s what trans people have to do. I‘be got a kind of masculine look going on so I’d probably have to go through that process as well im afraid. by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 7:09pm)
  • As I said, it was out of the shoulder. She literally couldn’t wear strappy tops or tote bags on that arm bc they would slide off. Her arm was 2 inches lower on that side. The actual accident happened before we started dating but you could visually see the injury. Maybe there is some fancy word for it but the point is it was fucked and she had to beg to get it sorted. Her movement was limited by the injury tho, don’t think she could lift her arm above her head and she couldn’t sleep on that side. by kalexcat (Sat 8th Apr 2023 7:27pm)
  • Late night gym goer so the 24 hr shop on Cathcart rd is my savior. My wife now expects me to bring home crisps and pot noodles after every workout. by kalexcat (Sun 30th Apr 2023 6:01pm)
